Kate, Cape May Convention Hall's wedding coordinator, was an amazing help right from the start and really worked with our vendors to pull off an unforgettable day. We could not have asked for a more beautiful or perfect wedding venue. Both my wife and I grew up vacationing in Cape May with our families, so once we were engaged, this was the first (and only) wedding venue that we looked at. The space is absolutely perfect for a wedding– the huge ballroom, the indoor/outdoor area for cocktail hour, the deck for the ceremony, and of course, the beautiful view of the ocean and Cape May beach. We had guests who partied on the huge dance floor all night long; some who sat on the rocking chairs and enjoyed the view of the ocean; and others who played cornhole on the deck. Perhaps the best part of this venue, though, is the coordinator Rachel. She is so personable and organized, and she and her staff made sure that every transition throughout the night ran smoothly. She was also so helpful and communicative in preparing for the wedding, communicating on all the little details and always accommodating a last minute visit to the venue (we live several hours away, so this was huge!). The venue also allows you to bring in your own alcohol, which provided us with a lot of flexibility for drinks and saved us a lot of money in the long run. We felt that the venue was very reasonably priced for all that it offered, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a beach wedding!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. We originally connected with Rachel who is the venue coordinator, and she gave us amazing recommendations for vendors. Any question we had re: venue insurance/ decor/ events etc she answered promptly or someone in the office would also provide assistance. We had a concern for rainy weather on our wedding day which made us nervous for an outdoor ceremony. We were really hoping to be out by the beach to celebrate. The winds that day were intermittently crazy. But nevertheless after sorting everything out and going with our gut and her recommendation we pulled it off and had the most beautiful (slightly windy) outdoor ceremony- with a potential contention to being inside if absolutely necessary. Everything went off without a hitch. We had the stage for our band and were able to use the projector to have our logo on the wall. The CURTAIN. THE MAGICAL CURTAIN that covers the huge beautiful windows overlooking the ocean was the absolute show stopper. It was closed as people walked into the reception and with music, lighting and perfect timing-- we came out as the curtains opened and had an incredible introduction. The space for cocktail hour was cozy but large enough where it was still spacious and there was room for everyone. It was just beautiful. The access to the beach. The porch. The windows. it was perfect.

We had the most perfect wedding at Convention Hall! It has always been our dream to get married in Cape May and there was no better place than Convention Hall. Rachel was so easy and delightful to work with. She was super helpful in providing recommendations and helping to coordinate with each of our vendors. We loved that we were able to make our exact wedding vision come to life. You definitely cannot beat the breathtaking backdrop that this venue has to offer. Being able to say our vows in our favorite place right over the beach was so special. The large window in the reception space continues to provide the fabulous view of the beach and ocean. At this venue, our wedding felt like a destination wedding without having to travel and we loved brining our friends and families to our favorite place, Cape May. We cannot thank Convention Hall enough for making our day absolutely perfect. We hope we are invited to a wedding at this venue in the future so we can experience it again!

Our wedding at the Cape May Beachfront Ballroom could not have been a more perfect experience! Of course the beachfront location alone can sell this venue itself, but nothing happens without great people to work with. If we could give Rachel and the entire team 10 stars, we would. Given it's a space where the couple is responsible for hiring vendors individually, Rachel was immensely helpful when it came to recommendations and completely took over managing all parties once things were booked. She was honest about her prior experiences dealing with certain vendors, but didn't push anyone on us. We felt absolutely no pressure throughout the process, and she was extremely open to working with new vendors that hadn't done an event there before. We dealt with both instance, but it really didn't matter because Rachel and team made sure everything was seamless, regardless. All of our vendors loved dealing with Rachel and her team as well - they just make it all so easy leading up to and especially the day of. They know what they're doing and will keep you organized without micromanaging you. We wouldn't have changed a thing!

We had an 380 person Indian wedding at the Cape May Convention Hall and choosing this venue was the best decision we made! The beautiful location on the beach, the large windows overlooking the ocean, and the kindness of Kacie and Rachel sold us after our 1st visit. Our wedding was a full day event starting from 7am to 11:00pm including a lunch, cocktail hour and dinner with at least 10 different vendors and a lot of moving parts. Kacie, Rachel and their team were absolutely amazing in helping us plan the day. From the very beginning Kacie and Rachel were helpful in figuring out logistics, being flexible, and making sure everything was figured out beforehand so the wedding day would run smoothly. They even let us go in a few days before to drop off supplies and helped with inventory. They also helped us in getting permits to close down the street for the baraat procession and helping to figure out parking (which I would say is the only con of this venue, that there is no parking on site). On the day of the wedding, my husband and I could not tell you a single thing that we thought went wrong because Kacie along with our planner and catering teams worked it all out behind the scenes without it even getting to us showing how professional everyone is. They wanted to the day to go so well for us and did everything in their power to make sure it did and we are so grateful for that. So many people came up to us to tell us it was the best wedding they had ever attended and I couldn’t agree more. I will be recommending this venue, Kacie and Rachel to everyone I know! Thank you so much for helping us create wonderful memories

From the moment we saw the venue, we were sold. From the beginning, Rachel was extremely helpful and communicative with us. On our wedding day, it felt like there was absolutely nothing for us to be responsible for except getting ourselves down the aisle. Rachel and her team were on the ball with everything - everything from the setup, to making sure we had what we needed at all times. On top of the awesome staff, you really can't beat the view! We had the perfect day together, and with our families and friends that celebrated with us. We cannot thank Rachel and her team enough for being such a huge part of our special day and special moments that we'll cherish always. The Cape May Convention Hall was a stunning venue for our September wedding. We loved that we could have our ceremony on the beach without our guests having to walk down into the sand. The deck was amazing for our ceremony. Rachel was awesome to work with and was quick to respond to any questions or emails up to the day of the wedding. We also used several of the recommended vendors and they were all fantastic as well. Everything for the wedding and the reception was set up exactly as I imagined it, and Rachel and her team made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. The beach out front was great for our photos, especially at sunset. We actually had some guests tell us it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to! It was truly our dream wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone! Thanks to Rachel and team for an amazing day!

This was the only venue we looked at because I knew it was the one for us! My fiance and I loved EVERYTHING about the space, the ballroom, the balcony, the location! Rachel was amazing to work with! My wife and I would highly recommend the Cape May Convention Hall as a dream wedding venue. We chose this venue because of the breath-taking views from both inside the hall and the wrap around outside deck, which made the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony. Cape May Convention Hall allows you to customize your special day by bringing in all of your own vendors and their event coordinator, Rachel Ertle, handles EVERYTHING. Our wedding day and the weeks leading up to it were stress-free due to Rachel's organization and coordination efforts. AMAZING!!!! The best wedding venue in Cape May!! We were a \"covid couple\" and initially booked the beachfront ballroom at Convention Hall back in early 2019 for a 2020 wedding. After 2 reschedules, we finally had our reception this past weekend (June 2022). I hope that no future couple has to go through reschedules and the hassles of covid, but if you do, they will be there with you the whole way. Rachel made everything so easy during the stress of reschedules and she and her team did so much for us. Finally, when the day arrived and we were really having this thing, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. There was zero stress. We chose this venue because it is actually on the beach and the views are absolutely incredible. We had the ceremony on the deck and it was gorgeous. Once inside, our guests could not get over the view of the beach from the ballroom. It's also so spacious and you have tons of freedom with decor and the layout. We had 100 guests but it holds a lot more than that. It was perfect for our large band, photobooth, and food stations - the dance floor was huge (which is exactly what we wanted and we needed it with all of the dancing)!! I cannot recommend Convention Hall and Rachel enough!!!

This venue is truly the gem of Cape May. My wife and I were recently married here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The beautiful beach setting with the capability to get married on the beach, on the deck, or in the venue offer a multitude of flexible options to cater to your wedding needs. My wife and I selected this venue within minutes of stepping on the premise as we were just wowed by the location and views. Rachel and her team (event staff) catered to each of our request to allow us the perfect ceremony on the beautiful deck with ocean front views followed by an indoor-outdoor cocktail hour. The ceremony was held inside which Rachel and her team transformed to look like an elegant ballroom. The size of the venue allowed us to accommodate in excess of 230 people and at no point felt limiting in space. If you’re looking for a place to host a beautiful beach wedding in Cape May, look no further! I can’t imagine you will receive such excellent and accommodating service at a venue this beautiful anywhere else!

Simply put, Kate and the beachfront ballroom team were incredible! Since day one of booking the ballroom, Kate was super helpful and responsive checking in with us and recording all of the details that we wanted. For the day of, they made it a breeze (literally, we had a super windy beach wedding day haha) for us by coordinating with all of our vendors. You know these guys are serious when they have walkie talkies to keep everything organized :) The venue is perfect for a big wedding, we had ~220 guests and felt it was just right for seating and dancing. One of our favorite parts was the surprise entrance! We loved getting married here right on the beach and can't recommend it enough!

Our wedding was June 2, 2018 we started out with Pat Devlin as our coordinator and we loved him! He was phenomenal... When I heard he was moving onto a different position, I was devastated... that is until I met Kate O’Connell, she is the angel of weddings. Kate was on top of issues immediately from bustle on the dress not working to weather outside not cooperating. Kate made me feel OK about all of those situations instantly. The venue was absolutely stunning, and was everything we ever dreamed of in a venue. Every person working for this venue absolutely loves their job or appears to love their job and they do a fantastic job at making every bride feel like they are the only bride that has ever been there. They are on top of every problem that arises without you even knowing there was a problem to begin with. It was a bit rainy outside on the day of our wedding however, they went with what we wanted them to do. The rain passed and we had a beautiful outside ceremony. We had a beautiful reception inside with a phenomenal window view to display that gorgeous beach view we were going for throughout the entire night. We received complement after complement for the venue. Honestly, you cannot go wrong if you want a beachfront wedding to have your wedding at this location. If it rains you still have the luxury of the beachfront view and it still just as beautiful as it would’ve been outside. I can truly say if you need someone to guide you through your wedding with thoughtful suggestion this venue is the best because of Kate. On top of the amazing venue, making a friend is an added bonus. Kate is someone I will make sure to visit every time I am in Cape May! If I could give more stars for this venue I would! 5+++ stars! ❤️❤️❤️

We were married on October 28, 2017 at the Cape May Convention Hall. We met Pat Devlin, the wedding coordinator, on our first visit to the Hall, as we sat on the rocking chairs on the gorgeous back deck, more than a year before our wedding. From the moment we met Pat to the day after our wedding as we said goodbye, he and his staff were an absolute joy to work with. Pat always encouraged us (and our families) to pop in and look at the space, he provided invaluable information about the area/vendors, always passed along photos from weddings at the Hall for inspiration, checked in with us often to see how we were doing/how the planning was going, was always willing to accommodate any and every idea we had (my brother and sister in law created incredible lighting for the reception space and Pat did everything in his power to make the whole vision come to life ), and most importantly made us feel at ease and taken care of. He approached our questions and concerns with compassion, patience, encouragement and love. Originally, we were supposed to have our ceremony outside on the deck. We were lucky to have absolutely gorgeous weather on our day but the wind made it impossible to go through with our original plan. After we gave him the ok, Pat and his staff and Kevin McFadden (at Kevin McFadden Catering and his staff) seamlessly worked as a team about an hour before the start of our wedding to move the ceremony inside, in part of the reception space, for \"Plan B\". The arbor was facing the beach windows and (without knowing that I would mention the rocking chairs at the Hall in my vows) Pat added a precious, romantic surprise touch, two rocking chairs sitting side by side, perfectly in line with the center of the arbor. We are so happy that we chose the Cape May Convention Hall as our wedding venue and incredibly grateful to Pat and his staff for such a special wedding day.

Pat always encouraged us (and our families) to pop in and look at the space, he provided invaluable information about the area/vendors, always passed along photos from weddings at the Hall for inspiration, checked in with us often to see how we were doing/how the planning was going, was always willing to accommodate any and every idea we had (my brother and sister in law created incredible lighting for the reception space and Pat did everything in his power to make the whole vision come to life ), and most importantly made us feel at ease and taken care of. He approached our questions and concerns with compassion, patience, encouragement and love. Originally, we were supposed to have our ceremony outside on the deck. We were lucky to have absolutely gorgeous weather on our day but the wind made it impossible to go through with our original plan. After we gave him the ok, Pat and his staff and Kevin McFadden (at Kevin McFadden Catering and his staff) seamlessly worked as a team about an hour before the start of our wedding to move the ceremony inside, in part of the reception space, for \"Plan B\". The arbor was facing the beach windows and (without knowing that I would mention the rocking chairs at the Hall in my vows) Pat added a precious, romantic surprise touch, two rocking chairs sitting side by side, perfectly in line with the center of the arbor. We are so happy that we chose the Cape May Convention Hall as our wedding venue and incredibly grateful to Pat and his staff for such a special wedding day.

We chose the Cape May convention hall after a short but long search of shore venues for our wedding. Once we arrived to take a tour, we knew this was the place for us. The curator Pat Devlin, could not have been more inviting, genuine, and helpful. He addressed and answered all of our questions, and helped us throughout our entire process. And that process can bring a lot of stress! One thing we never had to stress about was Pat and the venue.Perfect venue if you have a large or smaller wedding, we had 120 guests, which left a ton of space to move around and have a great time. The sunset was amazing! Weather was perfect!

He was extremely outgoing, knowledgeable, and overly generous with offering us ideas and suggestions- anywhere from the BEST entrance (as our guests tell us) to decorations to vendors to sunset pictures! Pat was easy to work with and always got back to us in a timely manner. We had a wedding party of 30 and a guest list close to 300, and we are still getting texts and calls about how our wedding was so perfect! I would highly recommend Cape May Beach Front Ballroom to any bride and groom who loves tons of fun, amazing views, and pleasant, outgoing and easy to work with staff!

I just got married here last night. We had a wedding with 160 guests. It was nothing short of a perfect experience. Pat is the event coordinator & he was in constant contact with me whenever I needed it. He gave some great tips & suggestions of how to make our day the best it could possibly be. Throughout our entire night, he was constantly asking if everything was going well, if the lighting was too warm, if he could do anything at all. He was awesome, so helpful & really professional & extremely considerate of us & our guests. This venue is the most appropriate place in Cape May for large (150+) weddings. They hold concerts there all the time so the acoustics are amazing. Everything turned out beautiful. As for aesthetics, the giant window sealed the deal. We had our window open the whole time & it looks out onto the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful. Bottom line: great, great staff, beautiful venue, no regrets whatsoever. We are wishing it was still last night!

Pat works on behalf of convention hall, he makes your dream wedding a reality! He's so kind , so patient, and has much experience with big productions! Up to 400 guests can attend your wedding overlooking the beach!and Pat has it all down to a science.. From vendors to photo opts... To the idea of getting confetti cannons!!! You can not go wrong.... I would do my wedding every month all over again , my husband and I still go by convention hall to say hi every chance we get, this was a 7 month planning event , we planned with Pat from colts neck nj and Washington, D.C. . We just had our wedding here on Friday, 6/24. We knew we wanted our wedding down the shore from the moment we were engaged. Many of our family and friends have summer homes in North Wildwood but I couldn't find a venue in Wildeood that I loved. Convention Hall in Cape May was large enough to accommodate us so we took a look. Initially, it was hard to envision the space but Pat Devlin, our point of contact, took care of that. He invited us for a walk through on the day of a wedding. He showed us exactly what we would need to make the space our dream wedding and he made us feel completely at ease. With Convention Hall, you get only the space, tables, chairs and Pat. The thought of bringing everything in was daunting but Pat recommended vendors, gave us tips and helped every step of the way. We couldn't have pulled it off without him. Being on the beach with THAT VUEW was priceless. Our wedding was amazing and our guests have not stopped calling and texting saying how beautiful it was. If you're looking for a Cape May wedding venue, please take a look. You won't regret it!

We cannot say enough amazing things about this venue (nor can our guests),not only the venue itself but the people who helped us the entire time..the venue coordinator from the convention hall Pat Devlin, he was amazing (and pulled off the curtain revealing without fault :)!! He was so involved in sending us ideas and making it the most perfect day for us all throughout the year leading up! Him and team absolutely rocked it and I couldn't have asked for a better crew to run our special day! The venue speaks for itself and was the perfect mix of elegant and shore!! The sunset was breathtaking!!!! Our ceremony was in front of the floor to ceiling beautiful windows indoor overlooking the ocean, Cocktail hour on the outside deck and partially inside, the reception was inside the main hall and the up lighting our band provided transformed the room! I hope everyone will look at this venue and just imagine the transformation, it was above and beyond what I could ever have imagined! Our wedding date was 10/10/2015!!!

Cape May Convention Hall as a venue and staff were perfect. It is the only local venue that is beachfront, indoor and outdoor, and available for weekend events in the prime summer season. When comparing it to other Cape May venues that can hold 250+ guests, Convention Hall stands out as being a blank slate to work with and having a huge dance floor. Both The Grand and Congress Hall can hold 250, however, it's a tight fit at Congress Hall with that many people inside. Both Congress Hall and The Grand also have very prominent color schemes already in place that did not work with the beachy/elegant/rustic look I was going for, nor did they have appealing enough dance floor sizes for the lively crowd we were expecting. I truly could not have been happier with the venue choice of Convention Hall.\r\rWe planned an hour and a half cocktail time on the deck and our guests loved it. What most surprised me was how nice the foyer of the Hall turned out to be for old family wedding photos, our guestbook, and place cards. The foyer also worked well for a photo booth that our guests could visit on the way to the restroom. The foyer also has two large flatscreen TVs that we played a photo slideshow on. \r\rThe manager Mike Chait was incredibly helpful by sharing ideas from other brides that got married at the Hall, including using the large projector screen during the reception. We had guests enter the room with the big curtain closed because we wanted to save the view for our entrance. We had beach photos of each bridal party member on the screen as part of their entrances. When it was time for us to enter as bride and groom, the screen was pulled up and the curtain opened to us standing in front of the big window overlooking the beach. \r\rThe banquet hall has its own private bathroom for the bridal party that the maid of honor and I used to freshen up. Our sweetheart table by the big window was romantic and nice for our guests since when they looked at us throughout the night and during speeches they could also see the beach and ocean.\r\rThe only negative about the venue is the expensive rental fee ($8,000) that included only tables and banquet chairs. Since there are not many places in Cape May County that can accommodate 250+ guests comfortably, have a big dance floor, and a blank palette in terms of decor we were willing to spend the $8,000 on the venue and save money in other ways. Even though the hall rental included chairs, we rented white folding chairs to give it more of a beachy look instead of the banquet chairs. The white chairs looked awesome against the hardwood floor and were comparable in price to renting chair covers.\r\rWe used Washington Inn for catering, Collier's Liquors, and I made up for the expensive rental fee by booking DJ/Photo/Video altogether through Enchanted Celebrations and ordering the table flowers myself from Costco online. The Hall let me have the flowers delivered fresh directly to the Hall where I was allowed to store them in a cool place until the next day when four of my friends and family helped me cut and arrange them into vases. Jen from the Washington Inn met me the day before the wedding so I could explain how I wanted the centerpieces set up. The Hall and WI staff then set everything up the day of and it was flawless. Jen and the WI were extremely helpful with facilitating the other rentals of linens and china. I also recommend Ellie's Bakery in Cape May.

Drove by the convention center one day and fell absolutely in love with the views and couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The staff there was very accommodating even with last minute details. They worked so hard to make everything perfect for our wedding. It turned out to be an amazing day. All of our guests had a great time. We got some amazing pictures thanks to the views.

Drove by the convention center one day and fell absolutely in love with the views and couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The staff there was very accommodating even with last minute details. They worked so hard to make everything perfect for our wedding. It turned out to be an amazing day. All of our guests had a great time. We got some amazing pictures thanks to the views.
