A few weeks ago we hosted a wedding at Cape Rey with staff Kristen Prigatano, the Event Planning Supervisor. Rarely do we come across such kind people who not only care about their venue but also about their clients! She was an angel from start to finish and I would totally recommend anyone who is thinking about hosting an event or wedding there. Kristen made sure to attend all of our planning meetings and care great advice to the clients, she was also there at the wedding and was attentive to our planner needs that sometimes arise which we hadn't planned for. Having a venue that works with the planner as a team makes a huge different! Thank you Kristen!! Thank you Cape Rey Team!!

we wanted a coastal wedding with beach views without getting sand in everyone's shoes and this spot was amazing! we checked out multiple venues with waterfront views and this was the best views, best flow/layout from ceremony to reception, and so so private!! guest rooms are at the opposite side of the resort so your wedding will be just you with gorgeous views. the staff was all great, all of my guests were impressed with the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff. also, everyone raved about the s'mores/churro bar which was a great addition to our reception. highly recommend cape Rey!

My husband and I got married at The Cape Rey this month and we had an incredible wedding! The venue is gorgeous and both the ceremony and reception areas have ocean views with beautiful greenery. The events and catering manager, Karla and Kristen were such a pleasure to work with. They made sure every detail of our wedding that related to the venue and catering services was in order, which made for a seamless wedding day! The service was phenomenal during our dinner and the food was delicious. All of our guests raved about their meals! Thank you Cape Rey for being such an incredible venue!

I planned my wedding of 250+ guests from Chicago (destination wedding), so you can imagine all the stresses that came along with that. However, Louise and the Cape Rey staff were AMAZING. I would 1000% recommend this venue to anyone (whether wedding or just a large gathering event). Our wedding was last weekend 9/28/2018. We had our dinner rehearsal and welcome party the night before. I cannot explain how amazing Louise and the Cape Rey venue was for our dinner rehearsal, welcome party, and wedding ceremony! Louise is so great to work with. She was very professional, always responded quickly, and was just a pleasure to work with! Louise went far and beyond to help us with our day. Any of my concerns with the venue were not even a problem. I was worried about the traffic or cars on the road being too loud. But you honestly did not hear anything whatsoever! We had our wedding on a Friday at 4PM too. Everything from the food, cocktails, venue set-up, and ambience was perfect. All of my 250 guests kept commenting how beautiful the place was with all the greenery as a background to compliment the floral arch. I am very sad the day is over, but I would recommend this place to every bride and groom looking for a venue! If I can repeat this day, I would not change one thing.Thank you Louise for everything! You were truly so great to work with and I am beyond thrilled that we were able to have Cape Rey Hilton part of our special day. It was perfect and everything we ever dreamed of! (Alex & Bobby)

I fell in love all over again when we looked at Cape Rey as a potential wedding venue. After looking at many other wedding venues, we knew this was the one! Not only is Cape Rey a newer Hilton property, but it is located right on the beach, so has a breathtaking view. We had our ceremonies on the lawn, lunch and cocktail hour on the terrace and reception in the ballroom. One of the best features about this resort is that there is no time limit for the wedding. We encountered a lot of venues that charged an hourly rate after 6 hours, which can become very costly very quickly if you want your wedding to last more than 6 hours. Our wedding was a combined Indian and traditional American wedding so we needed a venue without time restrictions. Also, Louise the wedding coordinator was more than helpful and very lovely to work with. She was very professional and prompt at answering all of my calls and emails. We could not have asked for a more gorgeous wedding venue. Thank you Cape Rey for making our special day so memorable.

We had our wedding on June 17, 2017, and were beyond thrilled with Cape Rey! Everyone loved the location and the setup, especially being able to watch the sunset from the beach! Unfortunately Robin left two weeks before my wedding, but we were so impressed with how Perrin stepped in and managed everything. Perrin went out of her way to ensure our day was everything we wanted it to be. I highly recommend Cape Rey, and especially Perrin, to anyone looking for a beautiful location, and well managed event!

We had our wedding on June 17, 2017, and were beyond thrilled with Cape Rey! Everyone loved the location and the setup, especially being able to watch the sunset from the beach! Unfortunately Robin left two weeks before my wedding, but we were so impressed with how Perrin stepped in and managed everything. Perrin went out of her way to ensure our day was everything we wanted it to be. I highly recommend Cape Rey, and especially Perrin, to anyone looking for a beautiful location, and well managed event!

We got married at Cape Rey in February 2017. It was supposed to rain on our wedding day, but right before our ceremony the sun came out! Luckily, because of the newly placed artificial grass we were able to have our ceremony outdoors and it was beautiful! Robin N. and Amanda B. were a pleasure to work with. They were very responsive and accommodative. The front desk staff was also very nice and we were able to hang out in the lobby after the reception. Our dream wedding came to life at the Cape Rey! Can't wait to come back and enjoy the hotel again for our anniversary.

My husband and I searched for a venue for our wedding for several months and Cape Rey was the perfect fit! Their coordinator, Robin was a pleasure to work with and offered above and beyond support for our wedding. They have several wedding packages to choose from and they even helped us to personalize our own. The outside lawn and terrace overlook the ocean and make the perfect backdrop for a ceremony and cocktail hour. Inside the ballroom they have beautiful up lighting and will set the room up however you choose. The service during dinner was fabulous and the food was delicious! Our guests raved about the appies from our cocktail hour as well as the delicious meals. The beach is only steps away so we were able to take photos and still enjoy the end of our cocktail hour. They were also extremely accommodating with their space for set up and take down of the wedding. They truly made us feel at home! We would highly recommend Cape Rey if you’re looking for a beautiful waterfront San Diego wedding!

My husband and I got married at Cape Rey and could not have asked for a better wedding. Every single part of our wedding day was better than we could have ever imagined. From a perfect day to a perfect location to amazing support throughout our whole wedding process, Cape Rey was the best place to get married. Robin was so extremely helpful from the time we booked the venue until the day after our wedding. She is amazing at what she does and our wedding wouldn't have been amazing as it was if it wasn't for her. I highly recommend Cape Rey to any couples looking for a beachside wedding!

Robin at Cape Rey was our wedding coordinator - she went ABOVE and BEYOND what we had expected! She always took time to meet with us at the venue leading up to the wedding whenever we had questions or concerns, was always available by phone or email, and had amazing ideas to help us through the process. Everything was explained perfectly, and she was extremely laid back, which made my husband and I stay calm (which we really needed!) A few weeks before the wedding, we realized that our guest count was too high for the smaller ballroom that we had originally booked for the reception. Not only was the larger ballroom available (thank goodness), but Robin sent us different layouts/plans for how she could set up the room, and made sure there was 0 hassle in switching our booking from the smaller room to the larger room. We did have some hiccups the day of the wedding, and if it weren't for Robin, we don't know how it would have ended up. 2 hours before the ceremony, we received word that our officiant (a family member), was no longer coming. My Maid of Honor called down to the front desk, who alerted Robin of the situation, and she had an extremely professional officiant there within an hour! He was super polite, was in a suit and tie, and took our ceremony that we had written and performed it perfectly. Check out Eric at www.muzziievents.com if you need an officiant, or any other event services! Here's another issue we had: between the rehearsal, family dinners, and craziness surrounding the wedding, we never had time to print out our place cards/seating chart for dinner. Not only did Robin take care of this for us last minute, she went the extra mile to include our \"Old Hollywood\" theme on the seating chart! She made everything run smoothly, made sure everyone knew where to go and what to do, and was SO kind and understanding of our day-of stress. She truly did everything and MORE to make our day run flawlessly.More props to Cape Rey - people FREAKED OUT over the food! What an amazing menu! The short ribs with mashed potatoes were raved about by everyone who had them. It took my husband and I weeks to pick out a menu because it was all so amazing! The tasting before the wedding was great, and so much fun, too. The staff all really make you feel at home, and are so warm, friendly and helpful. The ONLY thing we weren't totally happy with had nothing to do with the wedding, but with the room we were in: the night of the wedding, my bridal party called the front desk to ask them to tidy up our room before we got back to it (my bridal party and I stayed there the night before, so the trash cans were full, bed had been slept in, etc.)...they even left a tip on the bed for whoever came to tidy it up. Unfortunately, no one came, so we came back to a messy room after the wedding, and saw the tip still on the bed.Other than that...I highly recommend the venue, restaurant, and ROBIN! I feel like there is so much more to rave about, but it would take me hours to type it all out :)

We just got married at the Cape Rey on October 10th 2015 and this place totally rocks! The Cape Rey known also as the Hilton in Carlsbad is a hidden gem. Words can't express what an amazing experience we had at the Cape Rey this newly renovated resort and spa. We had our ceremony on the grass lawn, the cocktail hour on the patio over looking the beautiful beach at sunset and then had our reception dinner in the Shearwater ballroom. Everything from the food (made by talented French Chef) the service was incredible, the free parking for guests conveniently located behind the venue. We would recommend this venue in a heartbeat to any friends and family who wish to have a memorable time and their money's worth. Cape Rey is all about making your day special. We just got married at the Cape Rey on October 10th 2015 and this place totally rocks! The Cape Rey known also as the Hilton in Carlsbad is a hidden gem. Words can't express what an amazing experience we had at the Cape Rey this newly renovated resort and spa. We had our ceremony on the grass lawn, the cocktail hour on the patio over looking the beautiful beach at sunset and then had our reception dinner in the Shearwater ballroom. Everything from the food (made by talented French Chef) the service was incredible, the free parking for guests conveniently located behind the venue. We would recommend this venue in a heartbeat to any friends and family who wish to have a memorable time and their money's worth. Cape Rey is all about making your day special. We planned our wedding weekend here and us, along with many of our family and friends in from all parts of the country, stayed for several nights (my husband and I stayed 5) for an incredible and very memorable wedding weekend! \r\rThe Catering Coordinator and person we worked most closely with was Robin, who was newly hired after we signed on with the previous coordinator. Robin was professional, on-the-ball, friendly and courteous, experienced, and helped us put together a customized and perfect wedding package appetizers and dinner. As a vegetarian I wanted to make sure there were plenty of delicious veggie options along with the more typical red meat and a seafood option since we were by the ocean. The food was delicious, as is all the food from Chandler's restaurant which we ate at often during the weekend and had visited multiple times previously. We got multiple compliments from our guests raving about the food and how delicious it was. The Chef was great and helped us (through Robin) choose great craft/local beer options to offer with our bar as well.\r\rThe venue and resort grounds are GORGEOUS and perfectly matched our vision and color scheme of turquoise + grays and neutrals and a cool, laid-back, California vibe. I love the native and sustainable plant life decorating the grounds and the huge, beautiful ocean and surfer pictures up on the wall. The ceremony site was cute and the patio for the cocktail hour looked out on the ocean for sunset and our guests posted selfless of themselves with the beautiful sunset in the background - loved it! The ballroom was nicely sized and the color scheme/design worked perfectly. The service was great and the entire experience was smooth and professional.\r\rWe worked with Kyle and the previous coordinator to negotiate great rates for our many guests as we wanted to be sensitive to the fact that they were paying to fly out here and stay at a super nice resort! Kyle was also friendly, professional, and courteous and he met with us multiple times as we worked to make the multiple and at times complicated bookings for family members and friends. They extended the deadline for the reduced rate for our procrastinators and even changed the booking for a couple of guests who had mistakenly booked under the general rate. We stayed in the wedding suite for a couple of nights and it was big, spacious, nicely decorated, and perfect for our wedding day festivities and the rest of our staycation! Our guests, family and friends hung out at the fire pits while my dad played the banjo several nights, had pizza and appetizers at the pool, and enjoyed margaritas while watching the beautiful sunset from the hot tub area. \r\rWe had an incredible wedding weekend and event here and would recommend the venue, catering staff, and the rest of the Hilton Oceanfront team when planning any event or vacation!

Less than a month ago my wife and I were married at this beautifully quaint resort and spa hotel. The Oceanfront is relatively new and after one stay, we knew this is where we wanted to be married. After a year of planning with the Oceanfront, our fairy tail day became a reality with the help of the staff at our favorite resort! Our ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner, and dancing all took place on property and the dinner service was absolutely amazing! Our family and friends from around the country are still raving about the impeccable dinner service! The only downfall would have to be the fact that the sound system during the ceremony kept cutting out. Unfortunately, some of our guest were unable to hear the entire ceremony due to this malfunction.
