I haven't actually had my wedding yet but so far the Capital Plaza has been amazing! They meet with me as many times as I need and they are always very friendly. The reception hall is gorgeous and I cannot wait for my wedding reception to take place!

They took great care of us for our wedding reception! They were organized, punctual and very helpful in guiding us through picking out all of our options! Everyone we came in contact with was awesome! Our guests had nothing but positive things to say too-from the reception to booking rooms and staying the night of!

Everything was great!!! Kelsey and her team did an outstanding job decorating the Sunflower Ballroom! It was beautiful!!!! Calvin was great to work with! He was always on top of things! Food was great and the service was awesome!!! Eevryone keeps talking about home much fun they had at our wedding reception! Thanks!

My husband and I held our reception at the Capitol Plaza Hotel last summer. From our very first meeting with Kelsey through the actual reception, all of our needs were taken care of. Things were organized from start to finish; it alleviated a great deal of stress feeling confident that on the day of our wedding, all would go as planned. The staff was professional and courteous, the food was delicious, and the space was gorgeous. I highly recommend this venue to any couple getting married - if I were doing it over again, I would choose the Capitol Plaza again without a doubt.

Our son and daughter-in-law had their ceremony and reception in the Sunflower ballroom. Kelsey and her team were great to work with. We rented out the Sunflower Ballroom for our ceremony and reception. We were beyond thrilled with the perfection of the day, from beginning to end. \r\rWe were able to split the room for the two events with curtains, and the staff was extremely helpful in making sure everything was set up perfectly for both. We had so much room, making both events comfortable with plenty of space to move around, dance, visit, etc. \r\rHands down, one of the highlights of the entire day for everyone was the food. While we didn't have time to enjoy it as much as we wish we would have, we STILL (4 years later) have people comment on how amazing it was. We did a wide variety of appetizers, including a slider bar, which was the biggest hit. Hands down, the best food I've ever had at a wedding.\r\rAll in all, it was a perfect day, being able to have everything in one location, including a place for guests to stay. It definitely eases the stress for everyone involved to not have to make additional transportation plans during or after the events. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, ensuring I had little to nothing to worry or stress over, which I definitely appreciated. It was so nice to not have to worry about a ton of clean up at the end of the night, and they were even helpful in carting off presents to where we needed them to go. We had our Wedding Reception at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and it was absolutely perfect! The Emerald ballroom was beautiful and it was a wonderful perk for all of our guests to be able to stay at the site of the party! Working with the event coordinator, Kelsey, prior to the wedding was a wonderful experience. She was very organized and always available and she accommodated all of our requests! The event staff and hotel staff were all also extremely hospitable! I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a reception site!

We were selected to be the DJ entertainment for a bat mitzvah held here. Kelsey and her team did everything right to work with the family and the outside vendors that were selected! They have a niche for great service and know how to make sure all of the services at an event coordinate. It was such a pleasure working with the events team.

The event I was coordinating for my client couldn't have been better. This was due largely in part to Kelsey Kane who was very instrumental in the success of the event. She was knowledgeable and very patient with my clients' questions and needs. I would highly recommend this venue.

We rented out the Sunflower Ballroom here for our wedding reception. From start to finish the staff was amazing and helpful and did an excellent job. Here we are a year later and people are STILL talking about the INCREDIBLE food we had for dinner! The food was ready and served on time and our guests (we had a little over 200) moved through the food lines with ease on either side of the room. THE DJ had plenty of room to set up - we had an extra big dance floor put down for all our celebrating and there was plenty of space for cake and water stations placed for those who were thirsty. We had plenty of space to move around and talk to ALL of our guests - the head table sat up high and gave us a view of all our wonderful family and friends and it was a night that would truly, truly NEVER be forgotten. Thank you Cap Plaza for an unforgettable experience!!
