The Capitol Theatre was an absolute dream! Two weeks ago we had to most magical wedding thanks to the wonderful staff at the Theatre. The moment my now husband and I walked into the space we knew it would be a unique and special experience for ourselves and for our guests. The staff was very helpful, especially Haley, and took away 100% of the stress of making sure everything went smoothly. They helped push me from one event to the next, making sure we stayed on schedule. The food was delicious and I had guests come to me afterward and tell me this was the most unique and cool wedding they had ever been to! I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants great food, wonderful service, and an unforgettable night!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Capitol Theatre and it was by far the best venue we could have chosen! Haley (Event Coordinator) and Heath (owner+DJ) both were amazing to work with. All of our guests came up to us to let us know this was the best wedding they've ever seen and been a part of. From the music, to the catering, to the special effects (yes, ask for the special effects!), everything for our wedding was absolutely perfect.Haley was always quick to respond to questions via email or phone, no matter how silly and made planning an out of state wedding easy. Even the day of, Haley was on the scene making sure everything went according to plan and more importantly adapt when we got off schedule. It's an understatement to say that the day of wouldn't be the same without Haley at the helm. Her attention to detail and providing the best service to the guests is unparalleled.

Haley answered all our questions very promptly, even the ones that were dumb, in hindsight. The exceptional communication throughout the process allowed us to truly enjoy our wedding day. The owner is also the DJ. He has customized the venue with amazing audio/visual systems that really added that wow factor that our guests couldn’t help but get on the dance floor and have a great time. The event staff were all polite and eager to help. My wife asked me the next day, if we could get married there again. Thanks Haley, Heath and the staff that I don’t know the names of, but were definitely part the reason for my 5 star review. I can honestly say, there wasn’t a single thing I wish they did differently.

Kay W. If you’re considering The Capitol Theatre in Maryville for your wedding, I would just do it! It is going to exceed all of your expectations. The bridal room is STUNNING and the groomsman man cave is AWESOME! There are so many wonderful places to take your photos, I am sure we didn’t get to them all. Plus the Photo Booth was a hit with all of the guest! The stage…. It spotlights the bride and groom and is perfect for that first dance! The ice cream parlor was so great. It’s such a cute themed area and everything we had taste amazing. They catered the wedding also. Food tasted amazing!! Beautiful presentation. I could go on and on. We were coming from three states away and showed up morning of the wedding and everything was taken care of. Everything. I have to say Haley made this wedding perfect! I can honestly say if not for Haley going ABOVE and BEYOND this wedding would not have happened. I would have been one stressed out mom and had a daughter in tears. Thanks to Haley for getting us out of several little jams. Haley worked with us every step of the planning and her attention to every little detail made this a perfect wedding!

The Capitol is truly a stunning, unique venue - from our first dance on stage, to the party on the dance floor, it feels absolutely magical. Wedding planning is stressful and scary, and I can't imagine doing it without Haley's help, guidance, and support. Our food was delicious, the reception was seamless, and the DJ was incredible. Even our shyest guests felt comfortable getting out on the dance floor! It was so much fun and honestly it was my favorite part of our big day. I'm so thankful I booked this venue - they took care of our catering, decor, music, and more. I can't imagine having a cooler wedding reception that was a unique and memorable experience for all of our guests!

Thanks, in part, to my growing up during the “emo\" era of the early 2000’s … I would, on occasion, jot down poems, short stories, and songs without much fuss. However, for the past three months, I have severely struggled putting into words my overall experience at our selected venue...The Capitol Theatre in Maryville, TN.I was finally able to put together a full review via word document. Copy and pasted into the review box (first time reviewer) and it said I was beyond capacity on character count. Soooo....*Insert a VERY detailed account of my time at/with the Capitol Theatre, here. *In closing, and simply put, I could not have created a more perfect place, for my wife and I to get married, in my wildest dreams. It was literally like stepping into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory for the first time. The Capitol Theatre checked all the boxes. Had everything we wanted and more... From the opening crawl to the end credits... our wedding will forever be remembered and I/we just want to thank Haley, Heath, and the rest of the Capitol Theatre gang. Thank you for everything. You guys were/are simply amazing in every way possible.P.S. Ask about the Emerald room and go ahead and splurge to get the boujee vip lighting... you won't be sorry.

We had our reception at the Capitol and it was the best decision that we made. The venue is gorgeous and the temperature was fantastic for a July wedding. We chose to add on the lights package and it was awesome!!! Our guests loved the Pyro and bubbles that made the dance portion of the night incredible. We truly felt like celebrities on our special day. The food was delicious and the photo booth was such a fun experience for our guests. Most importantly, Haley coordinated the event for us and made everything so easy. Every aspect of our wedding was well timed and executed and she was such a pleasure to work with. All we had to do was show up. The Capitol cooked and served the food, set up the cake and decorations, and cleaned up everything at the end of the night. On both a hot and rainy day in July, we had a venue that was inside in the air conditioning, visually stunning and well coordinated, and we had to do zero work for the reception. For so many reasons, this is the best venue in the area to choose for a wedding!!

This is an absolutely incredible venue. I was so nervous to book a reception venue but the capitol theatre knocked it out of the park. I was so nervous about every detail but it all came together seamlessly. The customer service was phenomenal. Idk how much Haley makes but give that girl a raise!!! She made sure everything was taken care of and kept on top of every detail. We got so many compliments from our friends and family on how unique and awesome the venue was. DJ also gets a 12/10! The venue was so affordable compared to what we would have spent on a reception at the beach. I’m so thankful for the memories we created here together!

The Capitol Theatre was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in for the tour I knew this was the venue where I wanted to get married at. The venue itself is a classic movie theatre that has been completely redone to accommodate all types of celebrations including weddings. Haley, the director of the venue, did an amazing job letting us know our options right at the beginning and what all was included in their services. Right off the bat I liked that they provided an option of a food vendor that would set up, serve, and clean up, without us having to worry about it as well as their own DJ - Heath, to incorporate music throughout the entire evening. There is also plenty of room to accommodate guests and plenty of room for dancing. The venue also offers a room upstairs for the bride and an awesome room for the guys downstairs to use to get ready prior to the wedding. (My advice would be to get there as early as you can and get ready right away to enjoy all that they offer downstairs and not the other way around).The main theatre part of the venue is absolutely stunning inside with stars and lights along with a beautiful chandelier light on top of the stage that really makes you feel as if you are a real life celebrity getting married underneath it. It's very Romantic and beautiful. The venue also places your names on the Marquee outside to really give you that celebrity and special feel.My favorite parts of the wedding were getting married on stage, having my first dance on stage with spotlights on us like we were on Dancing with the Stars, the music that was played throughout the evening, and getting to share an incredible experience with my wife, family, and friends in an absolutely gorgeous setting. My only suggestion would be that I wished we would have had more than 7 hours to enjoy the venue as the wedding itself really does go by so fast. I would also encourage anyone getting married there to make sure you manage your time wisely and not have any distractions or detractors get in the way of enjoying your time at the venue. I would also make sure that you purchase close to everything they have to offer and not cheat yourself out of an amazing wedding as it is a once in a lifetime moment.Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a romantic, fairy tale, Hollywood like wedding and would do it again without hesitation.

My husband and I took a tour of this venue just to see what it had to offer as a wedding venue (we love movies so decided to give this place a shot). From the moment we stepped inside, we were completely amazed. The theater is so gorgeous, the bridal suite is stunning, and the man cave is so fascinating with all the hidden rooms and theme-appropriate decor. Essentially from the time we left the tour to the time we got in the car, we knew we wanted to have our wedding here. Not only was the venue impressive, but our event coordinator, Haley, knew her stuff. From the very beginning Haley was immensely helpful and made sure we had every single detail of the wedding figured out. On our wedding day, her and her team made our roles of groom and bride as easy as could possibly be. They took care of everything from setting up literally everything to manning the photo booth to making sure our guests knew where to go and what to do. We could not have had a better coordinator than Haley. She was constantly in contact with us to see how planning was going and always made herself available to us for any questions or inquiries we had. She even went as far as to offer to get our food for us at the reception. We could not be more thankful for all Haley did to make sure our wedding day was perfect for us. We highly recommend this venue to everyone whether it be for a wedding or other special event. You will be taken care of and 100% satisfied with your experience. My husband and I took a tour of this venue just to see what it had to offer as a wedding venue (we love movies so decided to give this place a shot). From the moment we stepped inside, we were completely amazed. The theater is so gorgeous, the bridal suite is stunning, and the man cave is so fascinating with all the hidden rooms and theme-appropriate decor. Essentially from the time we left the tour to the time we got in the car, we knew we wanted to have our wedding here. Not only was the venue impressive, but our event coordinator, Haley, knew her stuff. From the very beginning Haley was immensely helpful and made sure we had every single detail of the wedding figured out. On our wedding day, her and her team made our roles of groom and bride as easy as could possibly be. We got married at the Capitol Theatre in June 2019. It was an AMAZING, wonderful, unforgettable, stress-free wedding.**TL;DR**We had a stress-free and unforgettable wedding because the Capitol Theatre is such a unique venue and Haley and Heath make it an easy experience. The theatre makes your wedding magical. Haley and Heath are very communicative, organized, and professional - they make it easy to plan a wedding!**The Venue**When doing our venue visits, the Capitol Theatre was the last place we saw, and we didn't think it would be a good fit since we aren't movie buffs. But as soon as we got the tour from Haley and Heath, we were sold. The wedding venue feels more like an old Broadway theater than a movie theater, which was absolutely along the lines of what we were looking for. We went with the Crystal Package, which includes decorations, and the Photobooth, which meant we didn't need to organize anything besides the bartender and the cake - everything else was provided by the venue (we did bring in an outside caterer because of vegetarian dietary restrictions). To set the scene, the bride gets ready in a spacious, beautiful room that makes you feel like a movie star, while the groom's man cave is full of poker tables, arcade games, and a bar.If you have your ceremony there like we did, you get married under a glittering chandelier with a starry night as the background - it's simply magical. The venue is perfect for a reception, and they have the formula worked out so they really know what they are doing. The tables are spacious for guests, and the dance floor is perfect for a night of dancing. The Cinemagic experience includes music videos and laser shows throughout dancing, which makes it an unforgettable wedding. Everyone told us it was the most memorable wedding they had ever been to.We also had a rehearsal dinner party in the Emerald Room the night before. It is an exceptionally well-decorated speakeasy that really makes you feel like you're in the roaring 20s. Take a tour of the room even if you don't use it, and be sure to try to open any door you see (some don't even look like doors...) Our guests had a blast...we were dancing at the rehearsal dinner! We only wish that it allowed more than 30 people.**The Staff**Haley and Heath were an amazing team to have on our side for the wedding planning process. Haley is very organized, knows what does and doesn't work, and is very responsive (which is not guaranteed with wedding vendors). I'm a corporate event planner, and I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to relax during the wedding, but day-of, I had complete faith that Haley could take care of anything that came up. It is very hard to put into words exactly how much I love The Capitol Theatre. You walk in, and the energy of the environment welcomes you like you are going back home to where you grew up. The staff is unprecedented for this industry. This level of service, you can't find anywhere else. Before my husband and I decided to have our Star Wars themed Wedding at The Capitol we did our homework. We must have scoped out 10 other venues, and then stopped looking once we went through the initial viewing of The Capitol to see what it had to offer with Heath and Haley. It was more than obvious what our choice should be as to where to have our special day. I am beyond impressed with Heath's passion for what he does and Haley's level of event coordination. If you expect nothing less than perfection then let me be blunt from experience-they do not disappoint. Every single person at our wedding told my husband and I that it was the best wedding they had ever been to...I really do not know how much more you could ask for.

Joining together as one with all our family and close friends to witness was truly a blessing. Haley and Heath went above and beyond to make sure our day was true perfection! We searched for months to find the best location with out breaking the bank and I must say we go the most for our money at the Theatre. They provided centerpieces, lighting, DJ (his name is Heath and he awesome and he is the owner of the theatre), and Wedding coordinator, Debbie who is also awesome. We paid little over $5000.00 for the venue with a winter discount and it was breath taking. We got married on stage and so it was a little untraditional for a wedding and more like dinner theatre as everyone is already seated at their tables. This makes things really convenient because guest don't have to leave and tried to find a second location for the reception. (This is really helpful if you have a lot of out town guest.) Debbie ran rehearsal and made sure everything went off without a hitch and Heath kept the music coming. He was awesome in the Dj booth. The Capitol Theatre is an absolutely breath taking place to have any event my words of wisdom would be make sure if you chose this location to make sure you have a photographer who is good with no natural lighting. We went with Jennie Andrews and she was amazing with dealing with all of the challenges of the lighting.

On February 4, 2012 I got married at the Capitol Theatre in Maryville, Tn and it was spectacular.
