The Carlisle Ribbon Mill was the perfect venue for our wedding. The space is absolutely gorgeous, and Nancy & John were some of the most helpful and competent vendors we worked with in the whole process. We toured and booked this venue immediately, and Nancy and John were super helpful through the whole planning process. I was consistently impressed with how much Nancy was on top of everything about our wedding, and how well she communicated via email, text, and phone. As a bride doing all my own planning, that was truly a godsend!On our day, Nancy and John were absolute all stars. They were so helpful, so friendly and enthusiastic. Our bridal party commented a few times how great they were to work with, and I couldn't be more grateful to them!

The Carlisle Ribbon Mill was the perfect venue for our wedding. The space is absolutely gorgeous, and Nancy & John were some of the most helpful and competent vendors we worked with in the whole process. The venue is gorgeous. There is no denying that. Nancy and John were super nice in the beginning, but of late our opinions of them have drastically changed.........In October 2019 both myself, my fiancé and my parents toured the Carlisle Ribbon Mill as a place to hold our wedding for December 5, 2020. At that time, we placed down a deposit of $500.00 to hold the date. However, since the owners who run the venue have told us they can only accommodate 25 people per Governor Wolf's mandate (no mandate of 25 indoors or 250 outdoors exists - the Federal Judge ruled it unconstitutional and denied his appeal to - but anyways). Local venues around here are all running with more than 25 people indoors. When we put a deposit down it was under the agreement that we could use that venue for our ceremony and reception with a capacity of 212 people (our guest list 200). In addition, even allowing 25 people the pricing to hold our wedding there was not reduced from $4,000.00+. I reached out to Nancy in August 2020 because I received news from a wedding vendor source that she was not holding weddings at her location at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill through the end of the year and I was not notified of this. Nancy assured me that she was still holding weddings and that was not true. However, in my recent filing with the Attorney General she made it aware in her response that she has had to reschedule weddings March through December 2020. When was I going to be notified that she could not hold my wedding? At the end of October 2020 when she suggested I hold my invitations from being send out until (mind you a month before my wedding). On September 8, 2020 I sent a letter requesting our money back. She stated it was non-refundable. However, the Force Majeure clause in the contract (a contract that was never actually signed by any of us and Nancy admitted that in correspondence) states that in the event the wedding cannot take place on the scheduled date, that the venue will extend to renter to rent the space on another date. If both parties cannot agree on a reschedule date any money including the deposit would be refunded back the renter. Nancy confirmed I did not have a signed contract with her and refused to refund the money stating I cannot use the Force Majeure clause because we do not actually have a signed agreement. Well if we don't have a signed agreement how can you hold my money for an event you can't even have for me? I filed with Attorney General. I just filed with the BBB. My next step is to file a civil complaint with Judge Birbeck. It is not right to hold someone's money when you cannot provide them the service that was agreed on.

We were excited about having our daughter’s wedding at the Ribbon Mill as we thought it was a very nice venue. Unfortunately, COVID -19 put a stop to our plans and we had to cancel the wedding. Please be aware if you put down a deposit that there are no refunds, not even during a pandemic. We were offered another date in the future, but since the couple has moved to the west coast, it is unrealistic to think of returning to PA for a reception in the future. While I understand that the owners counted on a lot of income that just hasn’t materialized, it is also a hardship for all the families who are losing wedding deposits during these hard times. With that said, I’m pretty confident that had we been in normal times, it would have been a great venue.

Nancy and John were great! We were engaged for over a year and Nancy would randomly text me to check up on how things were going/if I needed any help. They were very flexible with our schedule when getting together for a meeting. They definitely made the process easier for me. And then of course the venue is just absolutely stunning. Lots of space too! We had approximately 115 people and all evening we were receiving compliments about how beautiful the setup was!

I could not even begin to describe how amazing this venue is! It was exactly what we were looking for! Rustic, Elegant but with an industrial feel. We didn't even need to overly decorate as the venue alone is gorgeous!The owners Nancy and John are AMAZING! They are extremely helpful and responsive. Nancy helped coordinate day of. I highly suggest booking the venue for the day prior as she allows you to go and decorate and set-up for a minimal cost, which is well worth it in my opinion. I cannot thank them enough for being so helpful and an awesome part of our day! LOOK NO FURTHER! You will fall in love as we instantly did with the venue and then knew Nancy and John from the start were going to be helpful and fun to work with!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful and magical this location is for a wedding! Nancy and John are awesome, you won't find a better venue with better people to work with. It's beautiful rustic elegant charm comes so easily with no added decoration really needed unless you're looking to add more to make it your own. Nancy was wonderful at letting us meet with her several times so we could plan out just how we wanted everything or to look through items they have that you can use. She was great to work with along the way but her and John went out of their way to help us the day before and the day of our wedding. They made it so easy and helped things to flow just as we had discussed and how we imagined. They make it so stress free and are super helpful in every way. We would highly recommend this venue for its beauty but even more so for it's owners. It felt like they became part of our family through all the planning and we were happy to have them there to join the celebration. Nancy even took and shared hundreds of pictures from rehearsal and wedding day- some of which I have none like them from anyone else. It was greatly appreciated. My husband has added them to our Christmas card list! If you're looking for a gorgeous and affordable place that doesn't require much extra work, this is it for sure!

I love the rustic, unique side to the venue that is different than the common barn choice that has become so widely done. The ribbon mill is quick and courteous in the planning times, and helps tremendously for the day of. The whole day went smoothly, and everything was beautiful. If I could come up with a con, or something I would change, I would plead that they allow for Sunday Clean up. We paid for Friday for decoration, but I think every girl can agree, cleaning after the wedding, long day, with dancing and exhaustion is not anyones dream. But our families made it all very seamless. I would do it again with or without the cleaning issues!

We just had our wedding there last weekend and I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue and the staff. We started working with Sarah, who was amazing, and then we worked with Nancy and John, who are equally incredible people. The Ribbon Mill is a BEAUTIFUL place to have your wedding, whether you are going there for your reception or for both the ceremony and the reception. The price is perfect, it's not insanely expensive like so many other places are and they are so flexible timewise. We were able to pay a little more to set it up the day before the wedding. Nancy and John set up the tables and linens for us, all we had to do was decorate! They were always responsive to emails, answered any questions we had and were amazing to work with. Everything went so smooth, from set up, to the wedding day and clean up afterwards. Because we were able to decorate ourselves and work in the space ahead of time, as well as being able to cater it ourselves, it made everything so personal and perfect. I HIGHLY recommend the Carlisle Ribbon Mill, you won't be disappointed. Thank you so much for making our day absolutely perfect!

Six months after our wedding, I'm so glad that my (now) husband and I settled on the Ribbon Mill for our venue. We still get compliments from our guests - it is a fantastic space! It was very important to me that we could have our ceremony and reception in one place so that the wedding flowed really effortlessly for guests, and the Ribbon Mill is such a great venue for that. The two rooms really help to provide some separation so some guests can sit and chat and others can dance. I also can't say enough about how wonderful Sarah was to work with - she provided so much insight on other vendors, and we really appreciated her day-of planning services. Booking this venue was a great decision - if you're considering it, you won't be disappointed!

I can't even put in to words our feelings of this place. Everything from day 1 was more than I could have asked for. Sarah was absolutely amazing to work with. As the father of the bride, we could not have selected a better venue for the Goodling-Oliphant wedding on 8/1/15. Sarah went over and above her normal responsibilities to make our day so special. Instead of being treated like a client, we were made to feel like friends. Every guest (160) commented on how lovely the facilities were. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding without any hesitation. The Carlisle Ribbon Mill is #1 in my book! The price is extremely reasonable, the owner is amazing in how she works with you to personalize your event...including special care for the disabled.

I am so thankful and happy we were able to book our wedding reception at Carlisle Ribbon Mill. It is a beautiful, flexible space that doesn't need a ton of decorating to make it look beautiful -- the hardwood floors, exposed beams and brick walls, large windows, and little white lights already add so much to the ambiance we were looking for. Though we were planning the wedding thousands of miles away in Texas, Sara and Lena were incredibly helpful - answering all of my questions and giving advice about what would work best for everything from table placement to vendor recommendations to the timing of events. Without a doubt I would highly recommend the Carlisle Ribbon Mill again and again!

This venue has so much character and space. Our 165 guests had more than enough room. Sarah is a pleasure to work with. She is helpful with suggestions and keeping the wedding flowing. We had our ceremony and reception here in June and everything turned out just how it was supposed to. Thanks Sarah!

This venue has so much character and space. Our 165 guests had more than enough room. Sarah is a pleasure to work with. She is helpful with suggestions and keeping the wedding flowing. My (now) husband and I were having trouble finding a venue that felt like \"us\". Everything felt very generic and we knew that a typical banquet hall just wasn't going to work for us. After many failed attempts at finding a reception venue, we headed to the Carlisle Ribbon Mill. From the moment we walked in, we LOVED the venue. It was cozy and rustic while still maintaining a sense of understated elegance. In short, it was perfect.\r\rNot only was the space wonderful, but the coordinator, Sarah Stewart, was a joy to work with. She helped the planning process run smoothly and helped us every step of the way. She was always easy to get in contact with, always kind and personable, and made set-up far less stressful! When we had questions, the first person we turned to was Sarah because she literally had all the answers. You will be hard-pressed to find someone who knows more about weddings than Sarah. You can also tell that she loves what she does. She is very passionate about helping people plan and personalize their special day. She also works very well with many local vendors and that made all the difference!\r\rOur guests were stunned by the venue and absolutely gushed about how they had never seen a place quite like it. The Ribbon Mill provided a great place for our guests to mingle, dance, eat, and have a wonderful time at our wedding. If we could do it all again, this would be our reception venue a hundred times over. \r\rOur wedding would not have been the same without Sarah or the beautiful Carlisle Ribbon Mill. \r\rThanks so much!!!

Sarah (daughter of the Ribbon Mill owner) was by our side through the whole process. She helped with her input about ways to make things more efficient and helped communicate with our other vendors. The beauty of the space was a big, blank canvas for us to work with and everything turned out spectacularly. The Ribbon Mill is open to all vendors so we were able to have so much freedom in choosing our caterer, bakery, florist, etc. The price for renting the space, tables and chairs cannot be beat! Our guests loved the uniqueness of the space and we could not have asked for a more amazing wedding venue!

The Ribbon Mill was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! Sarah was fabulous to work with and is so efficient and organized. I hardly saw her the night of the wedding, but I know that is because she was behind the scenes making sure everything went off without a hitch - something she isn't obligated to do!!! The simplicity of the venue allowed us to decorate as little or as much as we wanted to because the space itself is already gorgeous. I would highly recommend the Ribbon Mill to anyone looking for an awesome, simple venue to make their own. If the opportunity ever arises to host another event at the Ribbon Mill, I would run to work with Sarah again.

This place is amazing. If you're looking for something other than your run of the mill, boring banquet hall, then this is the place for you. It's hardwood floors and exposed brick walls are stunning and visually interesting. The space can easily be transformed into whatever you desire. It looked amazing in photographs and provided a beautiful backdrop for our photos. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how much they loved the place. It is very spacious and can easily fit 200 guests comfortably. The bathrooms are very clean and can accomodate multiple guests, we never saw anyone waiting to use the restroom. They bathroom was also full of amenities for the guests to use, from dental floss to band aids. The space also features a bridal suite with its own bathroom as well as all the emergency items you may need such as safety pins and a sewing kit. Sarah, the face of The Ribbon Mill, was a pleasure to work with. She gave us recommendations for other vendors based on our personalities and wedding style. We loved all of the vendors she recommended. She was always available when we needed her. Overall, I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else but The Ribbon Mill.

This unique location was perfect for our wedding. The venue manager was very helpful, friendly, sincere, and responsive. Chairs and tables were available on site to rent - one less thing to worry about. Would definitely use this venue for a future special occasion.

Sarah from the Ribbon Mill is awesome! She was so helpful in the planning process of my wedding! Every time we would get together we would have a great time chatting, and she made sure that everything was ready for my big day! The venue itself was perfect to me and my now husband! The brick walls and wood floors gave it a very homey feel, definitely beautiful, and it looked amazing in pictures! I loved working with Sarah at the Ribbon Mill, and definitely hope I can again in the future!

I chose the Ribbon Mill for my reception venue due to its unique atmosphere. My husband and I loved the wood and brick inside which made the venue much different then your normal banquet hall. We had a country themed wedding which looked awesome at this venue. Our only dislike was that the venue is located on the 2nd floor, but the freight elevator helped with the moving of wedding items and our older guests. Sarah was great to work with and made our day run smoothly. Our only other dislike of the space was having to pay additional monies to rent the tables and chairs from the ribbon mill.

This space is amazing. I used it recently for my wedding reception, and had so many compliments from my guests about what an awesome venue we chose. It has all exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. It has a slight industrial-chic feel to it, which is very cool. The room itself has so much character that it doesn't take much to dress it up. We loved that it had an adjoining bar area, providing additional space and room for the buffet, while allowing us to keep the dinner and dancing area in the main room. The coordinator, Sarah, is extremely friendly and helpful, and you can rent their chairs and tables for a really good price, which includes set up. I highly recommend this space for a unique, fun, and incredibly gorgeous wedding reception!

The Mill was decently priced and Sarah was so easy to work with. She was on top of everything and quick to respond to my emails. It's a gorgeous building with ample room. The Bar area is a nice addition as well. They have tables and chairs to rent and will set them up and tear them down for you. So happy we chose to have our reception at the Mill, I'd recommend it to anyone!

When I found this location I knew this is where I wanted to have my wedding. Sarah Stewart is the most wonderfully sweet and fun person and made our day relaxing and an absolute blast. The Ribbon Mill is gorgeous!!

Sarah at the Ribbon Mill was awesome. She made sure everything was ready for us the day prior and she was there during the entire event. If your wedding is on Saturday, it is definitely worth the extra money to rent the space for Friday as well!

John & I have been best friends and married for 34 years. We have been blessed with this wonderful opportunity to be a small part of a very special day in the lives of so many! We love what we do, we love helping to make that special day fun, stress free and smooth. The Carlisle Ribbon Mill is such a beautiful unique venue! It can be very rustic or it can be modern/industrial. It's just so pretty and diverse. It means so much to us to be able to provide a 5 star venue at an affordable price . A beautiful place that isn't going to bust your budget. That means a lot to me.
