Such a beautiful space! We loved the venue and Kristin was wonderful to work with. Our day of coordinator was so kind and helpful. Reviewed on 28-10-2023
Kayla Kreiner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-07-2022 Absolutely beautiful space! They were very flexible with us in regards to bringing decor over a few days early and allowing the furniture we rented to be picked up the next day. My only complaint would be that they have a beautiful bridal suite to get ready in, but you don't get the venue for the full day. You have to add on hours if you wish to get ready there and it got to costly for us, so we had to find somewhere else, but everything was perfect in the end! Reviewed on 07-08-2022
Billy Mullins(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-04-2022 We had a wonderful experience the day of our wedding at Carnegie Hall @ Newport. All of our guests were amazed by the beauty of the building. Our coordinator at the venue was a life-saver the day off, and was so quick to accommodate last minute changes. Reviewed on 05-04-2022
Jamie Schaber(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2021 We couldn’t have had a more perfect day and Kristin and her team at the Carnegie were a huge part in that success. Carnegie is a beautiful venue with a great location that made it an easy choice for us and our wedding celebration. This venue allows the flexibility to make your vision come alive. Kristin was fantastic and amazing to work with, we would recommend 1000x over. Reviewed on 23-10-2021
Samantha Savvas(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 We absolutely loved our experience working with Alyssa for our wedding at Carnegie Hall. She was professional and kind throughout the whole process. The venue is stunning and we loved how much history the building has. The only reason for a missing star was the temperature of the ballroom upstairs. Our wedding was on 9/18/21 and it was abnormally hot out (88 degrees as a high). The the entirety of the reception the upstairs was uncomfortably hot- so much so our guests were all dripping in sweat. Even so- we all had an incredible time. Reviewed on 29-09-2021
Julie Asbach(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-08-2021 Carnegie Hall was the first venue we viewed and fell in love with it right away. We had an instant connection with Peggy, which when we found out there was new owners I immediately was upset and worried if we even still had a venue. After meeting with Kristin all of our worries went away. Kristin was amazing to work with and helped us iron out all of the details to have a smooth wedding. I would recommend Carnegie to couples who are looking for a beautiful ceremony and reception space. Reviewed on 19-09-2021
Alyssa Keefe(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-05-2021 We had a great experience with Carnegie for our wedding on 5/15/21! We booked them at the last minute due to a venue change from COVID restrictions. We had a minor communication issue under the old owners when we originally booked them, but when the new owners came on board, we had absolutely no issues. Kristin Dickman was wonderful to work with - she was responsive, kind and accommodating. She made sure we got the wedding of our dreams and we certainly did! The venue is beautiful and our guests are still raving about how cool and unique our venue was. Thank you, Kristin! Reviewed on 27-05-2021
Tess Rosen(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-06-2020 Despite this being a beautiful venue that had great promise prior to the pandemic, we have since been treated so poorly that we are considering taking legal action. This venue is withholding thousands of dollars that were promised to be returned to us.Here’s our story:We had booked and signed on with The Carnegie for our early June wedding reception. When the pandemic was clearly not coming to an end any time soon, we decided to cancel our reception and have a small ceremony with immediate family. As soon as we made this decision, we reached out to The Carnegie to ask about their cancellation policy in regards to the developing situation. We were told by the manager that despite their usual refund policy, they would be issuing full refunds for couples that had to cancel due to the pandemic. We were incredibly grateful, and waited patiently to hear back about next steps. When a couple of weeks passed with no refund or word from the venue, we reached out and were reassured that refunds were being issued in a matter of days. Again, weeks passed with no refund or contact. We reached out several times over these weeks via email and phone (by now it was over two months from the original contact), but never once heard back. We decided to pursue legal counsel, but wanted to inform the manager before doing so to give them one last chance to rectify the situation on their own. We called, no one picked up, so we left a voicemail notifying the manager that we were considering legal action. Within an hour, she called back frantically asking us not to. She said she would talk to the owner, who was supposedly the one withholding the refund, and get back to us. Unfortunately, it has now been over a month from that call. We’ve attempted to contact her several times, and we’ve even asked for the owner’s information hoping that we could streamline the process and contact him ourselves. We’ve had no luck, and we are feeling desperate and swindled. As a high school teacher myself and a husband who is a full time graduate student, losing this amount of money has had a profoundly negative impact on our financial security. We are leaving this review because times are incredibly tough, both personally and financially, for everyone in this community right now. We understand how deeply challenging it is to plan a wedding during such uncertain times, and we don’t want other couples to suffer the way that we have. Again, we had such high hopes for this venue and are deeply saddened to have to report such unfortunate treatment. If you are considering booking with them, please take what I have shared into consideration as well. Reviewed on 14-09-2020
Lena Macke(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2019 Wow!! My dream wedding cake true!! Peggy and her team were so wonderful to us. Anything we asked for or wanted we were given without hesitation. Peggy was always prompt with calls and meetings and always personal with the family. Peggy makes you feel at ease and reassures you that everything will be fine. If there was ever an issue it was fixed before anyone ever noticed. The venue is 3 levels. Bridal/grooms suits on the bottom floor then the main floor and the third floor is reserved for the ceremony and reception. Such a beautiful venue with beautiful chandeliers and a beautiful staff!! I highly recommend Reviewed on 08-10-2019
Meredith Steen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-07-2019 Carnegie Hall at Newport was by far the best wedding planning decision we made. We got the most for our money - beauty, convenience, bridal/groom suites, limo, ability to choose our caterer and bring our own alcohol. Kim helped us narrow down and plan our last details and helped make everything run as smoothly as possible. We were blown away by the final outcome! We highly recommend the Carnegie at Newport. Jessica Hindman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-06-2019 Our wedding at the Carnegie was absolutely gorgeous and we are so appreciative to Kim, Peggy, and Jenna for everything they did to make that happen. Their eye for detail from the very beginning of the planning process was so helpful to us, and they were so kind and patient as they helped us consider every detail. Kim thought of everything - from how to organize the tables and decorations to creating a memorial to one of our parents who had recently passed away. Jenna sat down on the floor in the back of the ballroom and played with toddler-ring-bearer who was running around during the ceremony so that everyone else could focus on the bride and groom - I mean, that is amazing - where else is there someone who would do that and do it well?! And Peggy was a rock throughout the entire wedding weekend - from organizing all the vendors to carrying out every one of our detailed requests. She even helped several impaired, elderly relatives find their way to their hotels late at night. After the wedding, my parents said that the best decision we made was to go with the venue that had such attentive, professional people working at it, and we couldn't agree more. It is such a gorgeous space with top-of-the-line service! In short, excellent value for the money. Thank you all for helping us make our wedding so beautiful! Reviewed on 12-06-2019

We couldn't be happier to have had both our wedding and reception (and rehearsal dinner!) at Carnegie Hall. From the minute we walked in to the 100+ year old beautiful limestone building we knew it was the place for us, and Kim made everything so easy. Kim has so much experience planning events in the space that we never had any doubt that things would work out perfectly. Any time a question or issue popped up she was so responsive and made sure everything happened exactly as we hoped. The building itself was so perfect and we loved having the whole venue all day. We can't say enough about how much we loved the whole experience. Reviewed on 17-11-2018
Kathy Harward(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-07-2018 We had my daughters wedding at Carnegie Hall a couple of weeks ago. The Venue is so beautiful and unique. At first I was very nervous about booking a venue where I had to coordinate everything but Peggy put me at ease. I was a stressed out mom Wanting everything to be perfect for my daughter plus I had never put a wedding together before. Throughout the process Peggy and Kim were so great, I knew they would do everything the could to make sure my daughters special day was a beautiful one. They were always willing to take my calls day or night and willing to meet at times that worked best for us. The cost to rent was affordable and the party bus was a wonderful bonus to the day. The driver even went to the store to pick up a few things for the girls. You can have the best venue in town but if the directors do not have a heart for people and care about your event you may not have the best experience. Things can always go wrong nothing is perfect but I can assure you of this, these ladies are top notch and will do everything they can to make your event a wonderful experience for you and your guest. It is a fantastic place to get some amazing photo’s as well. Not only did my daughter have a beautiful wedding but I gained two new friends. My daughter and I will miss working with Peggy and Kim! When I walked into Carnegie Hall, I first noticed how gorgeous the place is! When I saw the chandeliers upstairs, I was sold! This venue alone is so beautiful you don’t need many decorations! Working with Peggy and Kim was a pleasure. Both ladies are so great and will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy! I’m actually sad that my wedding is over now because I don’t get to see them anymore! They get back to you in a timely manner with any questions you have. They also will let you come down whenever you need to talk in person or check out the space. We had 150 guests which is the maximum the venue can hold, they knew that they were going to need help when flipping the room from the ceremony to the reception, so they staffed accordingly. My bridal party all got ready at the venue which was so awesome! They even provided a limo for us to go take pictures. We had a few unforeseen issues that was out of any of their hands. They handled the issues with grace and were so sweet. The venue is gorgeous, so you cannot go wrong with having an event there. But the real charm that comes with the Carnegie is from Peggy and Kim! Alberto Torres(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-10-2017 If you haven't seen this venue and your considering it you should go look at it, it's beautiful. The Carnegie used to be an old library and it has the charm of an old and elegant mansion. Our wedding was everything we hoped for and the venue was perfect for us. We themed our wedding around books because we're both avid readers and this place was ideal. We hardly had to decorate it because it is so well adorned. Personally, I also hate the office ceiling tiles that you normally find in venues so the tall, vaulted, gorgeous ceilings with candelabras were a big sale for me and I thought gave an air of elegance to the wedding. Finally, I cannot speak highly enough about the service we received but above all we felt in love with the place. If anything, my only complain is that it's no longer a library so I cannot go and visit and remember my wedding any time I want. Reviewed on 04-11-2017

I mean we spent maybe $100 on decorations because it just doesn't need it. It speaks for itself, especially when it is filled with people you love, it was just amazing. The event staff is a dream to work with as well. Almost felt like aunts to me! We talked atleast once a week! It's pricey, but worth every single penny. Everyone was in awe! Thank you Carnegie.
