About This Vendor

Located in Galveston, TX, Carr Mansion is a historic 19th century Greek Revival mansion that has been restored with a chic, modern design. It is a dreamy coastal wedding venue since it is just 10 blocks from Galveston’s Seawall beaches and 13 blocks from the Strand. The venue is named in honor of the architect, Lewis W. Carr, who built it in 1866. Since then, the house has been a witness to history and the residence of many important people - including former Texas Governor, Richard Coke. Elegant French doors, an ornate fireplace, a carriage house and more bedrooms were added as part of renovations and expansions over the years. Today, Carr Mansion is one of the few remaining landmarks in the landscape to survive the test of time and even the Great Galveston Storm of 1990, the deadliest natural disaster in US history. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces suited to host any function, from ceremonies to receptions. The mansion, however, is ideal for intimate weddings. If you have a vision in mind regarding how your wedding day should look, take advantage of either the ballroom or the outdoor solarium. They both are available to be transformed to match your theme and style. They can also be combined to create a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, hosting up to 50 close friends and family. The estate also provides eight gorgeous overnight suites with all the amenities of a fully functional bed and breakfast. Treat you and your guests to luxury and comfort. Carr Mansion also has an open vendor policy allowing you to choose the caterers, bartenders, and other third-party vendors.
