Carriage Greens Country Club Reviews

We had a wedding in September of 2023. We loved Carriage Greens. The outside patio off the ballroom was a hit for our wedding allowing people to hang out outside and talk. The food was great, and several guests raved to us about it afterwards. We had our ceromony outside and have great photos from multiple spots outside. Carriage Greens also has space for a full blow up photo booth, and highly reccomend getting one for your event. We didn't end up using the foursome of golf but enjoyed the venue a lot. There was miscommunication over the end time but we talked with Heidi and understood that newer staff were confused. Reviewed on 24-10-2023

Spectacular wedding afternoon and evening at Carriage Greens! My family was welcomed upon arrival so graciously. Ballroom was just stunning, so airy, bright, glamorous but most of all plenty of space to move around easily. Love the traditional setting with huge windows overlooking the country club. Even a walk out balcony patio with strung lights for the evening gave us more great pictures.Food was absolutely delicious. Plates were presented with an artistic flair. Wedding party was thrilled with comments about the food quality, service and friendly service staff. We went through the night with music, dancing and a charming bartender and staff taking care of us. Emerlyn Alfonso(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2021 We held our wedding reception here last Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 and we had a phenomenal time! Ms. Heidi (the banquet manager) did an amazing job in maintaining the place well! The Bridal Suite and the Groom Suite (2 separate rooms) was very clean, beautiful, and has a strong A/C. It was hot last Saturday and me and my wedding party ended up getting cozy in the suites because it was very comfortable there.( the DJ needed to call us to remind us of our introductions haha)! Loved the huge life-size mirror and those fancy and comfortable couch! There's also a lockers for everyone and the bridal suite has a lock code to secure your belongings. Ms. Heidi suggested what would look good in our wedding and what ways we can save some bucks for decorating our reception. She helped us a LOT in planning the wedding reception and she has been very nice to us the entire time since the beginning ( January 2020). It was very easy to talk to her and she understood the situation when we had to re-scheduled the wedding from last year 2020 to this year 2021. due to pandemic. We saw in our own eyes how the place improved so much under Ms.. Heidi's management and we are very lucky that the venue was under her total supervision on our wedding day.. My husband and I loved the food and so all of our guests! Kudos to Chef Martin and sous chef Jesus! We received a lot of good feedback from our guests about the food and the service they received from the most attentive and caring staff of Carriage Greens! We are very thankful that we made the right decision to do our wedding reception here. There's a lot of good scenic view outside too for romantic pictures. I loved the willow trees and the golf course! They let us use the golf carts too. Before the wedding we had few trips here during regular brunch/lunch time and we enjoyed the food in the restaurants as well. If we are going to have a big anniversary celebration or any big events, we will do it here at Carriage Greens Country Club again. Thank you Carriage Greens Staff for giving us such an amazing time and you guys just let us enjoyed our Big Day! Reviewed on 24-08-2021

David Lee(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-06-2021 This is a rebuttal to Carriage Greens' response to my wife's honest review of the venue.•\tWe didn’t “override” you; in fact, we communicated with you the whole way until a couple of weeks prior to the wedding, when we decided to speak with Brian due to the slew of inconsistent information we were given from you•\tThe groom and bridal suite had a STRONG stench of mustiness. The only thing functioning in that room other than the lights was ONE electrical outlet. The smart lock on the door had to be recalibrated numerous times throughout the night•\tActually your “personal decisions with COVID” are a health and safety hazard, not to mention there were legal ordinances that you blatantly ignored. We were still at the height of the pandemic, and giving us a speech on how masks and vaccines don’t work does not help your credibility as a responsible nor diligent host•\tWe paid extra for the exclusivity package and discussed in detail what that entails (first rate service, extra attentiveness, none of which happened). We weren’t expecting you to move mountains for us.•\tIt was understood at the rehearsal that the East/West Room would serve as the backup room for the ceremony in case the weather did not cooperate, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, that it would be prepped up and ready to go. When the clouds were looking ominous, we were seriously considering relocating to the East/West Room, which we found was in the exact same condition as the night before – unprepared, unventilated, a hand full of chairs, a dozen of disorganized round tables that should have been stored away, and no AC; essentially the exact opposite of what you promised. You put all your eggs in one basket with the weather, and yes while the skies did clear up, I can’t help but wonder what your plan would have been had it continue to thunderstorm the rest of the night. You claim you would have had the other room ready on the spot? Impossible, with what staff? Having the weather cooperate does not absolve you from being unprepared when time sensitive decisions need to be made.•\tAs soon as we came inside after the ceremony, we noticed only 1 bar tender serving a line that stretched to the middle of the dance floor. I asked her why she was alone and that there should be 2 of you, she replied that she was the only one working that night. Therefore, we had our wedding planner strongly remind you of the venue’s written commitment in this area.•\tThe meal plan we paid for included all guests and vendors. We communicated and confirmed this repeatedly, including with Brian. When we had our final sit down with Brian, we went over each item line by line, did the math together, and the amount Brian calculated was the agree upon FINAL payment. He confirmed in writing even that the bill was settled. The fact that you missed this and felt the need to charge an extra $440 is just another testament of your incompetence and sloppiness.•\tYou clearly knew a DJ, photographer, and wedding planner would be present. The wedding planner was even on the phone with Brian while we settled the bill.•\tYou also have some nerve sending my wedding planner to tap my shoulder and ask for an extra $440. Shame on you for even thinking it was a good idea to bother the groom in the middle of a reception with YOUR mistake.Ultimately, Carriage Green’s did not fulfil their end of the bargain. What they promised us was a stark difference to the reality of what they actually delivered. I would not recommend this venue. Reviewed on 18-06-2021
Mary Nierengarten(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-06-2021 Carriage Greens was the single largest stressor in my wedding process. My husband and I signed with them in March 2019, based on reviews showing them as \"Best of the Knot.\" Sue was the main POC, but has long since left and been replaced by Heidi. Heidi was terrible to work with. She was not organized, bad at communication & note taking, and made promises one day that were forgotten the next. Also, as a bride planning her wedding during Covid, I was particularly annoyed that she never once wore a mask, even at the peak of the pandemic and gave us an unprompted speech on how she would never get vaccinated. We did complain to Brian & Adriana, the owners of the venue and nothing improved as a result. They claim to be able to handle two weddings at a time, up to 350 people each but they couldn't manage to staff enough for my single 100 person wedding, despite our paying extra to make sure we were the only event that night. Below are my thoughts on specific features:Photography: This was Brian's main pitch point, that we would be personally driven by him to the best spots on the golf course for amazing pictures. When our wedding date drew near though, Heidi said that wouldn't be possible because of a tournament that day, and our photographer should come out early and hunt for good shots instead. When we complained, Brian re-iterated that he would be driving us, and we set a time of 3:15pm to meet at the pro shop. The day of my wedding, he was no where to be found. The Bridal Suite: The bridal suite was in a musty smelling basement. The suite did not have the A/C on the day of my wedding, which made it really unpleasant for us to attempt to apply make-up. There was exactly 1 outlet in the room, and 0 trash cans. The door locks worked sporadically at best. The Ceremony: We were meant to have the ceremony outside, but there was thunder leading up to my wedding, and the threat of rain starting any minute. However, despite promises made by Heidi the night before at our rehearsal to clean up the spare ballroom in case, nothing was ready. There were tables everywhere, no chairs set-up, broken lamps, etc. The A/C was not on here either. The Venue generally: The venue has visibly deteriorated since we signed. There was water damage on the ceiling tiles and walls of both ballrooms. The A/C couldn't keep up in any rooms. It was over 90* that entire weekend and not a single room in the place ever felt cool, even before the guests arrived. The Reception: After 4 tastings and 2+ years of confusion over the menu and pricing, we finally had a plan of what we were to eat a few weeks prior to the wedding date. Another point that we verified several times over was the number of bartenders included, as the open bar was one of the main drivers of selecting this venue. We were told there would be 2 every time we asked. However, there was only 1 during our cocktail hour, and the 2nd only appeared after I informed Heidi that I considered the lack of a 2nd a major failure and would be seeking a refund as a result. Then the salads were served. After the salads were served, there was a noticeable delay between that and any other food. Also, even though we had met with Brian to settle the tab weeks earlier, Heidi demanded ~$500 in the middle of our reception to feed our vendors, which caught us all by surprise - since Brian had told us otherwise. Ashley Frey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-12-2020 We cannot say enough wonderful things about Heidi, her staff, and Carriage Greens! Our initial wedding venue cancelled our reception two weeks prior to our wedding day. We were connected with Heidi through word of mouth and we are eternally grateful for her kindness. We reached out to Heidi and within an HOUR we were already at Carriage Greens discussing the details and securing a new reception. Then it just kept getting better from there. Heidi and her staff had all our tables setup right away so that we were able to head in early to setup our centerpieces. She came in to check up on us a few times and see if there was anything else she could do. Heidi and her staff accommodated some specialty cocktail drinks that I was hoping could be offered. Heidi and her staff assisted with the final touches of some decorations so that they were ready for us on our wedding day, and our favorite part was that Heidi allowed us to bring in an outside caterer as we already had a contract with them from our prior reception venue. We cannot wait to continue to support Carriage Greens in any way possible - golfing, dinner, cigar bar, etc. We are forever grateful and thankful for their hospitality and paying it forward to help us when we were in need of a last minute venue. Gabe Knott(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-09-2020 When this process began, we thought this venue would be the ideal place for us. We were wrong. We were told many things that turned out to be untrue. We were told we would have to pay the balance by the day of the wedding. Three weeks before the day, we got a call saying our balance is due. Heidi did work with us to make sure we could pay, but in reality she ended up doing what she told us she would do in the beginning. She acted like she was doing us a huge service, but really we paid what we owed and then some since my husband couldn’t even eat his food at the reception. We were told when we toured the first time, months before the event, the ballroom would be repainted before we had our wedding reception. The day before as we were setting up, our bridemaids all asked us why the walls looked so scuffed and dingy. We were told at the tasting, the same day as the tour, that we could absolutely have a nut-free wedding because my husband is highly allergic. The event coordinator wrote a note and asked the chef at the tasting to bring us green beans with no nuts. At the reception, we were served our dinners, and just before he took a bite of the green beans I noticed that they did have almonds in them. He didn’t even get to finish his meal because there were nuts on the plate and we didn’t want to risk it. The day before the wedding, we went to set up and make bouquets for the girls. Heidi, the event coordinator, assured us she would get the flowers into the cooler before she left that morning. We came back that evening for the rehearsal and our bridesmaids had to put the flowers away themselves after they’d been left out all day.The day of the wedding, Heidi, swore she would be there to help us out for our day. She was unhelpful and rude to our officiant earlier in the day when our officiant asked for a chair for the singer we hired, rattling off about us needing to have accounted for said musician when we ordered chairs. Heidi assured us we could have 15 golf carts to get to our photo locations around the golf course. We only had 8 and the man who was in charge of them was rude, and the first thing out of his mouth is that the wedding is beautiful, but it takes 3 years to see if the marriage will last. Heidi showed up to our reception in crocs, asked if we needed anything, and left. We hadn’t discussed breaking down decorations, when we should get our stuff, or who to coordinate with. Heidi left before any of those plans were laid. We were told by a manager at the venue the club is closed on Monday, so everything would be exactly as we left it on Tuesday morning. When my husband got there on Tuesday to load up the decorations, the tables had been moved, our champagne flutes and cake cutting set had disappeared, and there was no one to help him find any of it. When Heidi got to the venue, it took her quite some time to find our cake cutter, champagne flutes, and even the top tier of our cake.Cathy, the head waitress is the reason this venue gets any stars at all. She worked with her team to make sure our reception was exceptional. She and her team did such a great job all evening, and they even took our centerpieces and various decorations and moved them all into one spot for when we came to pick them up. Cathy is nice and friendly and skilled at her job. I am so grateful to have had her at my event, because she made everything so seamless. Cathy got shit done. Heidi made promises she either couldn’t or didn’t keep. Reviewed on 30-09-2020
Katelyn Ebersold(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-12-2020 Carriage Greens was the first venue we viewed last November. It ended up being the only venue we looked at because we booked that day - we were that impressed! When then pandemic hit, we were unsure if our reception would be possible, but Heidi and her team have been so accommodating while also abiding by guidelines. Erin Cox(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-07-2020 I advise you to stay away from this venue. In April 2019 we toured this venue and were impressed with the customer service and complimentary tasting. We decided to sign with Carriage Greens then and there to hold our May 2020 wedding. However, things quickly changed after we signed and paid the deposit. The banquet director was replaced (without notice to us) by Heidi who never seemed to remember us even after meeting formally. In December and January we were asked three different times to pay the entire amount early in cash for a discounted rate. We were told that this was a way to keep it off the books. We did not agree to this because it sounded potentially illegal. Then the pandemic hit. We had to move our May date to July. As July got closer, we realized we would not be able to have 160 guests as planned in our contract. We asked Heidi if we could change the guest number to 50 to accommodate the governor’s order. She said no, and “what about the other 110 people on your contract?” We were then told that we were “legally obligated” to have a 160-person wedding and to move our wedding to next year. For several reasons, we could not put off our wedding again. To this day, Carriage Greens is still holding on to our three deposits of thousands of dollars for a service they did not and refused to provide. This is despite a “Force Majeure” section in their own Event Contract that says neither party is to be held responsible if the event is prevented from being held due to governmental actions. There are many other things I could talk about, but these are the highlights. I am warning everyone I know not to get into a contract with them, especially now during the pandemic. At first look, the others looked prettier but my husband was set on CC the minute we walked into the place and Im so glad he was! There are many reasons we chose Carriage Greens. 1. We were offered an exclusivity package which allowed us to be the only event that evening. I loved the fact that we had the entire venue to ourselves and didn't have to worry about bumping into another wedding. 2. Since we had the entire venue to ourselves we had the option to move our ceremony inside if it rained (which it did) and not have to have it in our reception ballroom. Our ceremony was in the smaller ballroom. 3. Brian and Heidi were extremely helpful and involved in the entire process! Heidi was quick to respond to emails and available to help with anything we needed. The day of she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly. The venue was set up the day before so we could decorate and we were able to come the following day to pick everything up. (granted that was due to the fact that there were no other events that weekend). 4. They had golf carts available to my bridal party so we could take pictures out on the golf course. Cheryl Pellus(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-06-2019 My daughter had her wedding reception at Carriage Greens on June 8th, 2019. When we went to the venue for the first meeting, Brian was super accommodating and we thought that everything we agreed to would happen. He couldn.t have been nicer. Then we had a meeting a few months before the wedding day and Brian seemed to have forgotten what he agreed to with our daughter and fiance. Luckily she had notes written down about everything that he agreed too. As the wedding got closer, my daughter told us she had been emailing and leaving voice mails for Brian and he wouldn’t write or call her back. I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt and said he was probably super busy with weddings and events. Usually venues want a final count 2 weeks before but they wouldn’t even reply to get that. 6 days before the wedding we went there for our final meeting and we were told that Brian was no longer handling the wedding part. Well it would have been nice for someone to let us know that. Nobody told us they hired a banquet coordinator and we would be working with her. 6 days before the wedding! The thing was, Heidi didn’t know anything about what Brian had agreed to or the vendors who Brian worked with. So she had to get Brian to join the meeting since she didn’t know what was going on. On the day of the wedding, the cocktail hour lines were ridiculously long. We were told that after the cocktail hour, the bar would open in the reception room and stay open for 30 minutes until dinner. Imagine our surprise when we got to the reception room and the bar was closed. So now our guests did not have any drinks available, even though the bartenders in the cocktail hour room told them they could get a drink in the reception room.Salads came out as expected but the time between the salads and the main course was 35 minutes. The wait was so long that people got up and started talking to each other, and went to the golf venue’s bar to get drinks, instead of waiting at their tables for dinner to arrive. The servers didn’t even know what the stars on the table cards meant (Brian told us to put different color stars on the table cards so servers would know what entree to serve)....they came up to our table to ask us what they meant. When the entrees finally arrived, there were only a couple of ladies serving a room of 200 people. When we approached Brian to say that we wanted the bar to open again 30 minutes early because of the 30 minutes we lost after the cocktail hour, he said what do you want me to do, pull the people from serving the food or have them work the bar? I guess the people working the bar were also the food servers. Iv’e never seen that before. Obviously we wanted the food out, so we said the food. Also they didn,t even have pitchers of water on the tables, you had to go to the bar and get the water yourself! The food was delicious but that doesn’t make up for the slow dinner service at what we thought was a great place to have a wedding. Even the staff kept apologizing for the way things were going. Allison East(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2018 We had our wedding here in early June and give it 4/5.The positives:- Can't beat the price- for what we got, the $ was a huge factor so if you are looking for somewhere to host your wedding but $ is a factor, definitely consider Carriage Greens.- The food was delicious*** - Able to set up early because no event the night before in our room- The grounds to take pictures on- Having reception and ceremony in one placeThe Negatives:- Disorganization - We booked our wedding over a year and a half in advance (We're both type A) with that being said, from the time we booked until our wedding we worked with 2 different wedding coordinators, and then the owner himself (Nice guy though!) From all that turnover, things got lost in the shuffle (we didn't have enough chairs at the reception for everyone to sit, the chicken we ordered for the day was not what was served, and some other smaller things that were promised by one of the wedding coordinators, then taken back by another so it was kind of a mess. Overall feeling is if you are looking for a less expensive option this is the place for you. If you have an actual professional planning and arranging your wedding, this would also be the place for you. But, if you want a place that is like a one-stop shop and you don't have a lot of time to put into your own wedding, this might not be the place. Reviewed on 17-07-2018

From the beginning we were treated like we were the most important event they had that year. Questions were answered quickly, calls returned, emails answered, etc. Brian was very accommodating, and made arrangements for us to come in the night before (we were married on a Friday) to set up some things. Being a very detail oriented person this was wonderful because I knew I wouldn’t have time day of to make sure everything was exactly where I wanted it! The day of moved about as smoothly as possible. From the moment we got in there until we left. We were in the larger banquet room and it was absolutely perfect. In terms of planning and budgeting- they make us crystal clear exactly what you’re paying. Their package is much more inclusive than any other venue we had been to, and also a lot easier to understand. I would definitely recommend anyone planning a wedding. Sarah M(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-12-2017 Kind of hard to get in touch with at times, but overall definitely worth it. Their food is amazing and their prices can't be beat! They were very accommodating with our decorator and with us. It was a little stressful at times with getting details straightened out, but the day of went well! One thing that was odd though was that they would not let us /bridal party into the reception on time because \"the food wasn't ready\". They said we could've gone in, mingled, and then come back out just to go back in for introductions/entrance. I think they should've let us in and do the introductions AND THEN let us mingle while the food was getting prepared. We missed a good chunk of time that we could've spent with our guests, but instead, we were waiting outside the room to be let in. I was told our guests were complaining that we were taking too long, but it wasn't our fault; we were ready to go.Also, the table numbers/signs were set out out-of-order. I don't know why. I placed people at specific tables, but then the numbers weren't set out that way. But that was a minor frustration since most people only sat to eat and then they were up.Overall, it was all good though. Everyone had a fun time. And since it was strangely nice out for December, we were able to utilize the outdoor patio too. The lights were hanging up there and everything looked so pretty. They also have pretty awesome bridal suites. There are two so we used one and the guys used the other one. Even with the snafus, 10/10 would book an event here again! Reviewed on 10-12-2017

Bridgette Montgomery(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-09-2017 I recently had my wedding at Carriage Greens Country Club in Darien, IL. We booked almost 1 ½ years before our wedding day. We were married on September 30, 2017. From the beginning there were problems. We went through multiple wedding coordinators through the process. The first major problem was the room we had booked was already double booked. We were forced to change rooms and we specifically chose that room because it fit our guest amount. It ended up working out for the best because our new room- The East West Room is gorgeous! It has large chandeliers and an outdoor deck with lights. Very pretty. We had 90 guests and it fit them all comfortably. They stated it normally holds a lot more than that but I think guests would be extremely crowded. The second major problem was the cake and sweets table what was supposed to be included for a small per person fee. I was told I should go to Costco or Sam’s and buy a fake cake and bring sheet cake instead. Very shady. They did not want to honor the per person fee and stated I would have to pay the difference if we did that. Plus, we would have to pay the 20 % service charge and tax on that. It made no sense! I was enraged. I decided to use my own bakery and not work with them on the cake. I was told that by their General Manager- who is extremely unprofessional and manipulative. She is the problem with that venue. She also yelled at one of my guest extremely loud and stated she can shut down this whole wedding. Furthermore, when we arrived to take pictures the GM was telling my photographer to pick a place in front to take pictures with our grandmas. I specially told them I want to take the grandparents on the golf course to take pictures. The GM worked it out and provided more golf carts but seemed extremely annoyed. Reviewed on 03-10-2017

My mom, older sister, and aunt all used this venue for their receptions. As soon as I was engaged, I knew I wanted to use the m as our reception venue as well! We just got married on Saturday 11/19/2016 and we had a blast. The venue was beautiful, the room was set up perfectly, everyone was nice and welcoming to our guests. The only reason I am giving this venue a 4 out of 5 stars is only because we had a few bumps along the way before getting to our big day. While turnover does happen, we had the unfortunate experience of going through 3 different wedding coordinators throughout the year of our engagement. The system they were using was not reliable in getting each new coordinators all of the information that was discussed between each person. We had to provide the food we picked twice because it was not written down, we had to keep track and follow up regarding the amounts we still owed since we had shown we paid more than what they were telling us we did, had been promised one pricing package but then was told a higher package was being applied to our wedding and so on. While I know this was just a miscommunication between the three separate people taking over as coordinator and it all was resolved before the wedding, it was something that was frustrating and complicated when it should have been easy. Overall, the experience was wonderful and everything was exactly how we wanted it to be for our big day but it is unfortunate we had to go through a period of time of miscommunications. The price and easy access location for out of town guests were what first drew me to this venue. After I had the chance to meet in person and talk with the banquet manager I participated in a food tasting. I immediately knew this was going to be a great pick. The staff is very flexible and accommodating so go in with a game plan and tell them what you have in mind – don’t be shy! \r\rThe venue is elegant but in a way that is not overwhelming or distracting from a look you might want to achieve. I went with a “rustic autumn” look but I saw photos from other weddings there that were completely different and they all seemed to work well in the room. We had compliments from our guests about the friendliness of staff, servers and bartenders.\r\rThe room we specifically used for the reception was a ball room divided in half by a wall partition. Lauren Koudelka(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-09-2014 We decided to have our wedding at Carriage Greens after one of our friends had a wonderful wedding there years ago. The prices were very reasonable, and they were flexible on the timeline of the day of the wedding. They were also great for a smaller wedding because they did not require expensive minimums for Saturday weddings. The frustrating thing is that 2 weeks before my wedding I call up to get a final bill and I'm told they didn't save most of my wedding info. I had to go through our menu options yet again, as well as all of the other details. It was incredibly disorganized and there was always someone else to answer the phone that didn't know the details of our wedding. Our wedding day went as well as it did because of our outside vendors setting everything up for us. Carriage Greens had many other events going on that same night and we were told \"we're very busy\" when our dance floor wasn't opened on time. We had guests that waited over an hour to be served dinner, and some guests never even got cake. It was a beautiful venue, but had I known that our wedding wouldn't be a priority I would have paid more to have my wedding at another venue. Please be aware that you will not be assigned one main wedding coordinator throughout your planning process. You will have to do a lot of the follow up yourself. Reviewed on 28-09-2014

Therese Burkle(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-12-2012 We had our wedding here on NYE , so we obviously did it indoors, where most people have outdoor weddings here. I would recommend this venue to everyone for any season. Seriously. The staff was overly helpful and friendly, from the bartenders to the owner to the bus boys. Planning with the people at Carriage Greens was a dream- almost made me feel like something was missing because it was so easy. I honestly didn't have to worry about anything the night of our wedding because everything was taken care of. We had our ceremony and reception here and had a spacious bridal room to hang out in beforehand and in between. Our reception room was completely set up and ready 3 days early and it was absolutely beautiful. The food exceeded expectations and we are seriously still getting emails from friends and family telling us how much they enjoyed it! I really can't say enough about Carriage Greens, and the best part of all is that their prices are totally reasonable. I highly recommend this place!!!! Reviewed on 12-01-2013
Rachel Pavesich(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-11-2012 Your money will stretch a long way by having your reception here! After comparing the price tag for what we were receiving here compared to other reception halls, we estimated that we saved AT LEAST $1,000. There was always a wedding coordinator available during the planning process to help us when we needed it and they were all very friendly. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I only saw the on-site coordinator the day of when she asked us how our food was tasting. She wasn't around when we arrived, which was when we needed her the most. Overall, it's a beautiful site with great food! Reviewed on 26-12-2012

Emily Giammanco(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2012 CG was helpful at first, then there was a change in management which resulted in them moving around my ballroom 3 times, and my dad and stepdad having to do set up and breakdown work that I paid CG to do. It's nice looking, the food rocks, and the staff is generally nice - just not that helpful. Reviewed on 01-09-2012
Jenny Janes(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2012 The staff at Carriage Greens was wonderful and very accommodating from start to finish. They were always available to answer my questions (I had a lot!) and they even allowed us to bring in our favorite ice cream from an outside vendor as a late-night treat for our guests! They let us bring in all of our reception centerpieces and details a few days before the wedding which made storage and the hassle of bringing in all of these things the day of so much easier! The night of the wedding, the staff was amazing! They were extremely efficient and the bartenders had drinks ready for guests as they saw them walking up to the bar. If they didn't want a different type of drink, it was ready for them when they got there. We were able to take pictures along the beautiful golf course with no problem and used the gazebo for photos as well. The bridal room was a nice room to have to freshen up before the reception and to leave our belongings during the reception (we were the only wedding that night). Their costs were affordable compared to other reception venues that we looked at and the food was delicious (we had the chicken francaise). I would highly recommend Carriage Greens to anyone! Aisha Nikki Greenlee-Wognum(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-03-2012 Great value for the price, the food was plentiful, hot and tasty. The venue even provided cake for my guests after my baker dropped our wedding cake. The only thing I didnt like was that there isnt one specific wedding coordinator to speak with every time. Other than that, the property is very well taken care of, and the staff is incredibly helpful. A great choice. Reviewed on 08-04-2012
Lindsey Musselman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2011 Carriage Greens was a beautiful setting for our wedding day. The affordable prices allowed us to have a big wedding on a budget that wasn't so big. The food was really great, the Grand Ballroom had a perfectly large dance floor and the bar was nice and large. My only constructive criticism would be that the banquet sales staff should be a bit more knowledgeable in general banquet information. I am sure I feel this way because I am an event planner myself and know more about the process than the average bride would, but a few times, I asked questions and was surprised they could not be answered with great ease (ie. are your round tables 60\" or 72\"?) It caused a bit of unnecessary stress in the planning process. That said, everything worked out in the end and I would recommend Carriage Greens to friends. Reviewed on 12-10-2011
Monica Brady(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-07-2011 For our July 2011 wedding we were in the Grand Ballroom with 200+ people. We were very happy with the way everything turned out. The staff was all great to work with. From the little questions I would call with during the week, to the food tasting, and then on the big day... all very accommodating! It was great spot to have your wedding reception. We had enough space, a great, large dance floor, the chairs were pretty enough you didn't have to cover them, the food was delicious, and the bartenders were great!! What more could you ask for? The only downside was that there were some wedding crashers. A gift and a couple of cards were stolen, along with my husband's cell phone (which was in the bridal room), and a few guests' purses. More security in the room would have been great. Not sure if wedding venues offer this, but bride-to-bes beware this can happen at your reception. Reviewed on 25-09-2011
