If I could do it all over again, I would go back to Carter Plantation in a heartbeat! We were able to have our ceremony and reception in two locations without leaving Carter Plantation which was amazing! Lauren was our coordinator and she was the best! She helped me with every little detail and assured me that everything would be perfect and it was! Great location, food, and staff! 10/10 recommend!

I would 10/10 recommend Carter Plantation to all friends in family!! I had my wedding here November 2023 and it was absolutely perfect!! The coordinator Lauren Sadler, is amazing and makes planning so easy and such a breeze, she was such a joy to work with!! The food was also so yummy, many guests were very impressed! Another thing that’s offered is the onsite villas to stay in, which was so convenient for everyone. I had the BEST experience at Carter Plantation, it was a dream come true!!

I would 10/10 recommend Carter Plantation to all friends in family!! I had my wedding here November 2023 and it was absolutely perfect!! The coordinator Lauren Sadler, is amazing and makes planning so easy and such a breeze, she was such a joy to work with!! The food was also so yummy, many guests were very impressed! Another thing that’s offered is the onsite villas to stay in, which was so convenient for everyone. I had the BEST experience at Carter Plantation, it was a dream come true!!

Carter Plantation is such a gorgeous venue. We loved that everything was taken care of in house so we didn’t have to find a separate caterer, bar, coordinator, etc! The coordinator, Lauren, is the most incredible vendor to work with! She is SO good at her job and you can tell she absolutely loves it!We had our florist drop off bunches of flowers and Lauren used them to decorate the entire reception. She also helped us pick the song I walked down the aisle to.I would get married here over and over again if I could!! Everything was absolutely PERFECT!

Would absolutely recommend this venue. Lauren was amazing. Our original venue cancelled on us 2 months before the wedding and Lauren went above and beyond to help us plan everything even with such little time to work with. She was extremely helpful and took away so much of the stress of planning, decorating, etc. Our wedding ended up looking beautiful, the food was great, and it was the wedding that we had always hoped for.

I got married at Carter Plantation in April 2022 and it was the best decision we could’ve made!!! Carter has always been such a special place for me and my husband, and we knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding, but we didn’t know that it would end up being everything we had dreamed and so much more!!! The event team at Carter gave everything to make sure our night was perfect. Lauren was an angel sent from above and went above and beyond to meet my every need! From always being there to manage and tend to our large family and wedding party to making sure every detail of my wedding vision come to life even better than I’d planned, or even racing over to my villa to bring me a comb for a hair malfunction right before pictures🥹, she was such a blessing and pleasure to work with! Coming from someone who used to coordinate weddings, my expectations were high and she far exceeded them!! Danielle, Nicole, and Victoria did an amazing job as well! They truly made an impression on all of our friends and family and helped make our experience one they will all be talking about for ages!! Danielle consistently made sure me and my husband and our families were taken care of and always had a drink or whatever we needed. There is no better team to trust with such an important event!!! The entire weekend was flawless! We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday night, a round of golf for the guys Saturday morning, wedding Saturday night, and brunch Sunday! It made everything so easy to have our family and wedding party stay in the villas for the weekend so we didn’t have to go anywhere from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning! Not having to worry about travel in the midst of all that craziness is a lifesaver! We got married in the atrium and had our reception in the ballroom and everything was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I can’t say it enough; our wedding at Carter Plantation was a DREAM COME TRUE! The best staff, the best food, the best venue, the best value—I mean seriously, none compare!!!!

If you are looking for a stress free wedding experience, then look no further! Lauren and her team took care of every little detail. I'm not quite sure how Lauren does it, maybe she's a super hero, but I was so beyond pleased with my experience. She even helped me deal with those awkward family dynamics that no one really knows how to deal with. She brought my vision to life. We did our wedding on a budget, so I didn't have a flower or decorator budget, but that didn't matter because Lauren had an entire storage room of literally every decoration you could think of. Down to bouquets. She executed seamlessly, answered all of the questions, troubleshooted anything I wasn't sure about, and was there with me every step of the way on the day of. I couldn't say enough nice things about Lauren. Seriously, book Carter for your wedding and enjoy stress free planning and wedding day!

This wedding venue is EXACTLY what my daughter was looking for and needed. Lauren and her staff took care of EVERYTHING for her wedding. We were able to meet at the venue several times with any questions we had. Lauren was always available via phone or text with any concerns we had The day of the wedding was nothing short of exceptional. Lauren and staff made sure all details were taken care of and all things ran smooth. As a mother of the Bride it was refreshing to be able to enjoy the day without running around tying up loose ends. The grounds were clean and very well kept. The reception was beautifully decorated by the staff at Carter Plantation and the food was amazing.

We recently had our dream wedding at Carter Plantation and I can not say enough about the venue, the staff, but mostly the wedding coordinator Lauren! Lauren was one of the main reasons we choose Carter. She handled everything from decorations to rehearsal to reception. She went above and beyond! She even got on her hands and knees to clean a smashed caterpillar off my dress right before the ceremony!!! Everything was beautiful and we could not be more thankful for all of her help!! Our wedding day was 100% stressful free thanks to Lauren and the staff at Carter Plantation! We also got a complimentary wedding suite in The Villas that was a huge plus!!! Daniel and I couldn't be ANY HAPPIER with how AMAZING Lauren Sadler (the wedding coordinator) & her team brought together the wedding of our dreams! Lauren was always available for any questions, concerns, and suggestions we may have had. Carter Plantation has everything you need for your wedding: amazing coordinator, multiple catering packages, drink packages, villas for guests to stay and different packages if you want to book more than one room for wedding/reception. We booked the atrium for our ceremony and the ballroom for our reception. The guests had an amazing time, the food was excellent, and the coordination was perfect. Lauren makes sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently and she makes sure you (the bride and groom) have an excellent time at your own wedding! It was everything we could have ever dreamed for and more!!!

My son's wedding was at Carter Plantation, so I decided to have the rehearsal dinner there for convenience. I could not have been more pleased. Rates were reasonable and they had everything needed to decorate. Lauren Sadler was fantastic and the food was great. I would definitely recommend them for any occasion.

I booked our wedding originally for March 2021. We unfortunately had to postpone to June 2021. Lauren at Carter made the process so easy and smooth. Not only was she super helpful and accommodating, she also was a great day of coordinator. She came by to wish my good morning and check on us. She also set up all of my decor (which majority was provided by her through Carter). And the reception ran smoothly..even when we had to run over to the villas to find my garter to toss! She ran to get it and came back in a timely manner. Her and the staff were great to work with. Thankful to have had a venue with decor already provided and a staff so well equipped. 12/10 RECOMMEND.

We just had my daughter’s wedding reception in the atrium this past weekend. It was absolutely flawless! The entire planning process was completely stress free. Lauren was wonderful! We really wanted the atrium but it was booked. After we booked the ballroom, she called us and said the other couple canceled the atrium and asked if we wanted it. We were so happy and said yes immediately! The atrium is perfect for a small wedding like ours. I’ve worked at a few event centers before and have seen different experiences. We weren’t waited on like I hoped we would be, but other than that everything was great. Everyone loved the food and said nothing but nice things about the venue. We did have two guys come in trying to crash the party and get free stuff but they were kicked out. I only saw them once. The honeymoon suite was wonderful too. We did our gender reveal at the reception and Lauren was super helpful with that. So glad we chose Carter Plantation. Would book again for another event.

They even sent someone to grab two bottles of my fav drink the day of the wedding to make sure I had everything I needed. Lauren made sure the whole night ran smoothly and I even spotted her on the dance floor with my daughter a time or two. She also grabbed my baby some cash so she could give it to me for the money dance. I would 100% recommended checking out this place, and chatting with Lauren if you are looking for a venue.

I 100% recommend Carter Plantation for anyone for a wedding venue ! The coordinator was beyond amazing and helpful from start to finish ! anything that need to be done she was there to help ! Very responsive and helpful ! The food is so good ! So many package options for your special night ! if i could have another wedding i would 100% choose Carter Plantation again

I would have my wedding there again! The staff was amazing, very helpful and arranged everything for us. I looked around the state at all different kinds of plantation venues, and none offered the wonderful lodging opportunities that Carter did, with food on site for guests at all times. Golf for the guys, swimming and laying out for us girls. It was like a destination wedding just down the street, since we are from Baton Rouge. Price-wise it also gave the competition a \"run for their money\"!

Wonderful setting with the adjacent villas for out-of-town guests, several scenic photography spots, & beautiful landscaping! The food was delicious and the ability for guests to spread out indoors along with the outdoor porches was one aspect that we received many compliments on! The bar/ food a little pricey, but comprable to other venues of the same quality around New Orleans. \r\rThe event planner was wonderful to work with, and very accomodating. Would certainly recommend and would do the entire thing over again!
