Romantic courtyard chapels, magnificent formal gardens, soaring towers and stone archways all combine to create a unique and elegant castle wedding tucked away in beautiful Northern Michigan.

Stunning venue and grounds-I mean it’s a castle! We had an elopement type wedding for 32 people on a weekday afternoon. We were going to get married in the Queens Courtyard, but due to rain we ended up inside in Kings Galley (it was still very beautiful) Taylor was amazing to work with. She was VERY QUICK to respond to all questions and offered several suggestions-I have no doubt she would make any wedding memorable, stress free and FUN! Thank you for making sure we had a wonderful wedding day, I’m forever grateful. For anyone reading this, don’t hesitate to book them immediately! Reviewed on 11-11-2023

We recently got married at Castle Farms and obviously, the venue is gorgeous. We are still getting compliments from guests on how beautiful the venue and grounds are! They host many many events every season so the booking/planning process is very streamlined and easy as there are FAQ pages, recommended vendors, and tons of other information they have to help you plan your event! The downside to producing so many events is that the communication isn’t always timely and you definitely feel like just another wedding as there will likely be 3 others on the same day as yours. You get assigned a coordinator 2 months before your event, but we personally had a difficult time getting replies within a week and found more success simply by calling the castle and talking to the events services line (shoutout to Brenda for dealing with ALL my questions and being so kind and patient). I understand having so many other people to keep track of, but when your date is approaching and you also need help it can be frustrating at times. I also heard complaints from several of my vendors (who are experienced working Castle weddings) that they never received the day of info from the coordinator like they usually do and had minor difficulties upon arrival that were out of character from their experiences. Also be mindful that since 1918 Cellars is on site, you are required to use their wine for your event. This was not a problem since we found wines we enjoyed and the tasting experience prior to the wedding was a blast. Just a helpful note if you and your fiance(e) have a favorite wine that you would like served that day to know you cannot bring in other brands. The day of the event went smoothly on our end and the coordinator/assistant coordinator were super sweet and made sure that everything stayed on track. Final note: MAKE SURE YOUR GUESTS ARRIVE ON TIME. The lift bridge in Charlevoix causes taffic backups that guests may not know to account for. They will not let anyone in late (which I understand for photos and could obviously be distracting) so some of our favorite people unfortunately missed the ceremony and were stuck waiting around until the cocktail hour. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and they really are great at what they do. Just know that since they produce so many events, you will not get that personalized one-on-one feel that a smaller venue would likely be able to provide. Reviewed on 15-10-2023

Castle Farms is the most beautiful venue we could have possibly picked. The flower gardens are stunning and the ceremony location was just gorgeous. Our reception was in the Knight's Castle and it was beautiful. I will say there is a slight lack of quality control (linens were sometimes dirty or super wrinkled) but the Castle Farms staff were more than willing to help us switch out linens and clean chairs off while we were setting up. We really couldn't have asked for a better venue. Reviewed on 22-09-2023

Let me first off start by saying that in the end, I would do my wedding at the castle again. Looking back at the day itself I was filled with nothing but pure joy as I got to marry my husband in the venue of our dreams. It was everything I wanted - absolutely stunning location, perfect “destination” place, and I hardly had to decorate for it to feel perfect. Just what I wanted! The guests had nothing bad to say either and many have mentioned after the fact that it was definitely a top wedding they’ve been to. I do, however, want to make it very clear that the venue space did not come without stress though, and I’m sad to say I felt definitely in the minority here as I’ve seen nothing but excellent reviews about the Castle. We booked this space two years in advance, and while most of that time was spent at ease due to my wedding planner, that would not have been the case without her. Unfortunately, the castle advertises providing an event coordinator that is with you for the last two months of the wedding. When the two month mark hit, we honestly struggled getting into contact with ours. During this time, our event coordinator just.. ghosted us. We had requested a Google Meet chat so me, my planner, and her, could hash out details, which she had confirmed she’d be able to make, and then just never showed up. I sent a follow up email and didn’t hear for the entire week. We finally emailed the head of the castle to see if she was okay, which she then (finally) replied after that week and said she was back, but only then had she finally mentioned that our request to have a later rehearsal time was simply not possible. However, just as we were finishing our rehearsal, another group was coming in. We’d requested a later time and she said they didn’t do rehearsals that late. I am making an assumption but I feel that it was likely more the case of the coordinator not being on top of things. From there, I just felt like another number. The Castle is known for hosting multiple parties, but even our wedding day we just felt shuffled around. Our coordinator came in to rehearsal not quite knowing most of our details, calling my husband and our crew by the wrong names, etc. Just not how you want to feel as a bride! Lastly, we got an invoice a few weeks after the fact with our rentals. In the contract, it was stated that we’d be billed right before the wedding with those final rentals included, and my final bill i paid right before the wedding did list them! They just ended up not charging us that full amount and instead notified us later that we still hadn’t paid. Totally fine, as of course I knew what I rented and want to pay what I owe, was just confusing. I guess what I’m getting at, is that all in all it was a great venue, but be prepared to feel like just another number as they pump out multiple weddings every weekend. *****edited to add: the Castle followed up RIGHT away on this and took their time to get through the finer details of this review. I felt heard when I talked to Rebecca and it is very clear that they take feedback and are continually working on improving. Reviewed on 29-08-2023

Where to begin?! My husband and I had our dream wedding at Castle Farms. The venue is, of course, absolutely STUNNING, but behind the scenes is the amazing staff that makes everything run so smoothly. Every staff member that we encountered from the welcome center staff, the adorable owner that we saw gardening on a few visits, to our awesome venue coordinator, Brenda...we felt taken care of through the whole process. Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking and I was expecting to still have to be in \"planning mode\" on our wedding day, but truly all I had to do was show up and enjoy. On our wedding day, I was a little upset with the fact that I could NOT find my assigned coordinator anywhere due to the fact she was in our ceremony space doing the thing that I asked to be done the day prior. I felt this could’ve been done either after our rehearsal the day before our wedding or the morning of, before my wedding party and vendors started arriving considering we couldn’t even get there until 2 hours after the coordinator arrived on site. I saw more of her assistant than I saw of her. I also hated how rushed everything felt because of 3 other weddings that were taking place. We had to share photo op spots and we weren’t told about any of this prior to booking with them. I actually found out this is the way things were done through another vendor. I. A.(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2019 We had our wedding at the Knight’s Courtyard at Castle Farms last July. We were actually lucky enough to win the military wedding giveaway, which meant a portion of our venue price was free (it would’ve been completely free except we had already paid ~half). CF was generous enough to let us enter the giveaway even though we had already decided to have our wedding there, and it was honestly a huge blessing. As we all know, weddings are so expensive—the giveaway allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams, since the CF cost was a hefty part of our budget. The team at CF was so professional and experienced and made the entire wedding process a breeze. They were very familiar with our wedding planner so we had a good line of communication with them. We even forgot (somehow!) our box of wedding cards at the end of the night, and the team at CF kept track of them and stored the box in their locked office until we came by the next day to pick themup. It was such a small thing, but the gesture was very touching the next day & helped keep us carefree. The Knight’s Castle & Courtyard was an absolutely UNBELIEVABLE place to get married. I’ve always said I would get married in a castle, but that’s hard to actually do in Michigan! Castle Farms made my wedding dreams come true!! We ended up being the only ones with a wedding on our holiday weekend in July so CF was even willing to change the rules for us. I asked them to turn the trains back on for our reception and they agreed to! We had the freedom to wander around the whole grounds and I think our guests really enjoyed it! One of the only downsides of our time working with CF was the actually process of the giveaway. Thankfully they have changed their system this year—I believe—which was absolutely necessary. My husband and I were very dedicated to rallying our support systems to garner the votes to win the giveaway, but so were many other couples. This, plus the high stakes of the giveaway and the impact of social media, made for a very VERY stressful week of the giveaway. We agreed, along with all our friends who spent hours contacting people to vote for us, that a week-long giveaway was too long. It made the contest drag on and heightened the tensions among all the couples that were already present. While we are so thankful and honored to have won, it was a really really tough week of wedding planning. Even our reviews of our vendors have been delayed until recently because the giveaway was so stressful/dramatic that we needed some space from wedding planning. However, we recognize that a lot of this was outside of CF’s control and I believe they also learned from the situation. We are glad to see that the rules have changed this year and we can’t wait for another amazing military couple to win the wedding of their dreams at the beautiful Castle Farms. Thank you to Castle Farms for coordinating a wonderful opportunity for our military community each year! We were so thankful to have CF donate their time and service to us, and we’re so grateful to them. Reviewed on 17-02-2020

They each have a unique style that can be altered any way that you like it. If you end up booking your wedding at the Castle, they allow you to come back when needed to take a look around. They have a team that constantly replies to emails and any questions that you may have. Closer to the wedding they will give you a set up packet where you put all of your wedding information and they also give you a coordinator. The coordinator will “coordinate” your vendors, your room setup, the ceremony, and so much more! We were able to get in the day before to set up (although not always an option depending on how booked they are). We were also given a “get ready room” for the bridesmaids and myself. The boys just got ready at a nearby hotel. They honestly have everything covered for you and make sure that the day goes as smoothly as possible. At first we were concerned about the price, but with all that is included, is it definitely worth it! What made the experience the best, was our wedding coordinator! We got so lucky in getting Dale to be our coordinator. This man KNOWS what he is doing! He was so helpful, weeks before the wedding, the week of, the day before, and especially the day of the wedding! Dale kept everything on track, kept communication between the bride and groom going smoothly, as well as communication with the vendors and all the setup staff at the castle. He helped us with unexpected issues, such as needing glass cleaner and one more table top easel, handling getting us new table clothes when we accidentally got them soiled during set up, and keeping us informed about everything that was going on without stressing us out. He worked beautifully with all the vendors, was there throughout the day helping us if we needed it, and was only a text message away if he wasnt in the room with us. Around 9:30pm (ish, I didnt have a watch) Dale went home for the night, but left us with his assistant for the rest of the evening if we had any issues (which makes sense, seeing as he was there bright and early with us that morning when we arrived at 10am! And there was not much left that needed to be coordinated for the evening, the DJ had the end of the party handled)..The venue itself is beautiful! It is also great that the guests are able to explore the grounds and play with the chess pieces in the fountain area, we had several guests that enjoyed this, getting a break from the loud music and dancing. The flowers and greenery throughout the venue are amazing in the summertime, and make the whole place feel more alive! The one thing that disappointed us, was that the day of the wedding, the big fountain up front was not working, there was no water in it at all. which stunk because we wanted to get that as a focal point for some of our photos. But even without that, theres plenty on the grounds to get photos with. I cannot stress enough how helpful our wedding coordinator Dale was! He made the whole experience easy, and relatively stress free! I'm so glad we were lucky and got Dale as our man, because he has a lot of experience, and was the most helpful, able to solve the random issues that came up as the day went on. Castle Farms is definitely worth it! I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to get married! I wouldn't change it for anything! Reviewed on 18-08-2019

Erica Reagle(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-06-2019 Choosing Castle Farms as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we've made! I felt like a true Queen getting married in a castle. Castle Farms is such a unique, beautiful venue with a lot of history. We loved the stone walls and high ceilings in the Knight's Castle and are glad we got to enjoy the beautiful Knight's Courtyard. Our guests were in awe when they saw the Castle. We were so fortunate to have Angela and Marissa as our Day of Coordinators. They were so helpful and easy to work with. Angela was quick to respond to all of my questions leading up to the big day and was onsite during set-up to help make sure everything was just how I wanted it. Marissa stayed till the end of our wedding to ensure everything was running smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Castle Farms! Reviewed on 22-06-2019
Rob Self(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2019 We had such a phenomenal wedding at Castle Farms! Everything was perfect from the venue. The setup was exactly correct, the coordinator was 100% on top of organization the day of, they accommodated our small extra requests for outdoor lights, patio heaters, lounge furniture setup (which we rented from Taylor Rental). The location is just so beautiful, especially if the weather cooperates. In the event of rain, there is a great pavilion which I'm sure would provide for great photos as well! The biggest plus to Castle Farms however, is their flexibility to allow you to bring your own liquor, beer and caterer. Once you price out your wedding, realize how much expense you save by shopping around on catering and buying your own liquor. Save that huge markup and spend it on what actually gets you something (photographer, DJ, etc)! All-in-all great place to get married. The only critique I would have is that you aren't assigned a \"specific\" coordinator to work with until 1 month before. In reality, they should assign you someone to work closely with 3-6 months before to start really hashing out specific details. It was a bit hard to get a hold of someone via phone at times and there were a couple details that were muddled up 1 month before in terms of delivery times for the rental items. HOWEVER, Castle Farms came through and made it right and got everything worked out PERFECTLY. I would suggest to them though, that to prevent this in the future, they assign a coordinator earlier to work out the explicit details sooner. This is a great place to have your wedding with the flexibility to do exactly what you want on your day! Everyone will have a blast and the photo locations are top notch! Reviewed on 12-06-2019

Jacqlyn del Rosario(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-10-2018 Castle Farms was an incredible venue that worked with us to make a very memorable wedding experience. We worked with Autumn as our venue coordinator, who was very pleasant and helped make sure everything was set up appropriately and that the venue would be set up in the way we liked. While they do provide coordinators, it's important to note that these are primarily working to ensure Castle Farms provides what they promise and should not be considered a traditional day-of coordinator (we would recommend getting one of those if possible). But Castle Farms still did a great job throughout the venue booking, wedding planning, and execution. The one issue we had was during the wedding day, we had a different coordinator take over halfway through, which was fine, but at one point a bride and her friends tried to crash our reception and used our photo booth. We had to kick them out, as the coordinator didn't notice them there. Their team apologized profusely, and there isn't much you can do to stop those things from happening, but we would have preferred they caught this before it came to our attention. Other than that, Castle Farms was a great venue, and we thoroughly enjoyed our wedding there! Reviewed on 30-03-2019
Madison Yenglin(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2018 As far as the location itself, the Castle can't be beat. It is hands down the most beautiful, elegant, effortless and romantic venue anyone could ask for. The only reason why I can't give the Castle 5 stars is the \"wedding coordinator\". The Castle advertises a wedding coordinator which is included in their price. This coordinator helps you throughout the process of planning and with all of the last minute finalizations. The coordinator also runs the rehearsal and day of schedule. We were 100% pleased with our coordinator up until the day of the wedding. We saw our coordinator only twice on our wedding day. Once before the wedding when she helped the bridal party enter and once after the ceremony as she rushed us off to the reception. If it weren't for my sisters boyfriends seating guests, guiding them to cocktail hour and bringing my bridesmaids bouquets into the reception area, it would not have been done. I found myself flustered trying to reach our coordinator and somehow get in contact with her on the day of. She had told us she had other weddings on our same day and those seemed to take precedence. She ended up saying goodbye to us part way through the night and left us someone we had never met as our coordinator the remainder of the night. If I would have known that the coordinator would've been no help on the day of, I would've brought in assistance elsewhere. The Castle needs to consider assigning only one coordinator per wedding or cutting the day of coordination completely. I was also unhappy with our set up the day prior to our wedding. We were told the room was ours to set up yet they were still allowing public into the room for self guided tours. We had thousands of dollars worth of alcohol in our reception room as well as all of our wedding favors. We had random people strolling through the reception room the entire day. When I asked about closing our room to the public they said it was not possible. I wish they would've expressed that prior to us unloading all of our decorations, alcohol, favors, etc. They reassured me that \"they've never had any issues with theft before\". Not worth the stress and worrying the day before my wedding. Reviewed on 06-01-2019

It was the perfect venue to create the wedding of our dreams. In the courtyard, we had white rose petals strewn around the fountain, and an arch of flowers below the center stone arch to create the most romantic backdrop for our ceremony. In the great hall, we had greenery draping from the chandeliers, dramatic drapes from the ceiling beams, overflowing flowers and candles to create a beautiful warmth to contrast the stone walls. There are also so many spots on the Castle Farms grounds for wedding photos.Every aspect of working with Castle Farms was enjoyable. Their staff is responsible, attentive and efficient. Our Castle Farms coordinator, Autumn, was very pleasant and helpful in planning rentals, the timeline, the floor plan etc. The wine selection offered at Castle Farms is very good and allowed us to choose a range of wines for our wedding guests. My (now) husband and I had the daunting task of planning our wedding from out of state. I traveled to Charlevoix every summer as a kid and I knew I wanted to get married there. Castle Farms really appealed to us because they offer so many amenities and really know how to orchestrate a wedding. We had our wedding in the Knight’s Courtyard and reception in the West Garden Room. Our coordinator was Autumn and she did such a great job of communicating with us via phone and email! Despite it being challenging planning our wedding from Texas, Autumn was very helpful and responsive. On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly! I think one of the best things Castle Farms has to offer is your day-of coordinator and assistants. Autumn made sure our wedding day was perfect in every way. Even when it was threatening to rain, Autumn was so great at giving us options and guidance. Also worth noting, you do have to use Castle Farms’ wine, 1918 Cellars, if you serve wine at your wedding. With that said, Sarah Hagen was so great to work with! We had a wine tasting with her prior to the wedding and it was so much fun and she was very helpful. Castle Farms is a beautiful venue. Our wedding was a destination wedding and the Castle was very accommodating for setting up appointments like wine tasting and such. Having a Sunday wedding was great because we didn’t run into any other bridal parties when taking pictures around the Castle. Our whole experience with the Castle from when we booked our day in April 2017 was incredible. Everyone communicated with us so well and I could email any coordinator and get an answer back quickly even if it was something small like the size of a table. Everyone was so helpful. Once our wedding day got closer and Autumn stepped in as our coordinator we had great communication and she made the day run flawless. If you are a type A bride you will love Castle Farms and their staff. Say the word and they will make it happen if you give them your trust. Just a few notes about an up north/Castle wedding. Hotels book up fast and there are not many of them. We sent out save the dates almost a year in advance so people could plan. Also check for local festivals/art shows in town the weekend of your wedding. The craft show was in town for ours which ended up being fun and something for people to do the next day! Also because the Castle now has a winery on site (1918 cellars) you MUST serve their wine at your wedding. You cannot bring your own in like with beer and liquor through your caterer. We got to have a fun tasting with Sarah to pick our wine we just prefer other wines. Castle Farms was a dream fairy tale wedding venue. Autumn Tull was our wedding coordinator.A wedding at Castle Farms is a beautiful unique experience for not only the Bride and Groom, but also for your guests. We were planning our wedding from Chicago, IL so Charlevoix, MI was a destination for all of our guests. We had people fly in from Illinois, South Carolina, California, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, and Germany. There was so much effort made from all of our our friends and family that is was really important to both my husband & I that we provided an exceptional hospitality experience. The Castle itself offers a wonderful canvas to create from, but the people you work with is what really sets this venue apart. Autumn was extremely patient & organized from the very first phone call. She knew we were planning from a distance & she was our eyes, ears & she was our advocate. It was obvious that our wedding experience & our vision was her priority. The Castle has very high standards & they have a wonderful list of recommended vendors to give you a great planning start. That does not mean there are not other great vendors in the area, but keep in mind that if you choose vendors off of the list, these vendors know the Castle & they know each other. More than one of them said to me, we work together all of the time & we will make sure we are in sync to make your night awesome. The vendors we selected did not disappoint. Sidnee from Thyme Hill Designs, captured my floral vision to perfection & she did it with in my budget. Autumn & Sidnee were honest with me that the Courtyard where we were to be married in late July would be full floral so I did not need to add to much to make my ceremony beautiful. Mike Davis Trio advised me on the perfect musical line up for my ceremony and cocktail hour. Reverend Jonathon made our ceremony both personal and filled with Faith. Simply Sweet by Jessica created the most beautiful Sweets table that was a big part of our overall decor. It looked romantic, abundant and it was Simply delicious! Catering By Kelly's, made my life so so easy. They cook on site with the freshest high quality ingredients. They provide all glassware for bar & dining, all dishes & all garnishes for the entire night. All we had to do was provide the liquids ( use Bill and Carol's for liquids). The caterer worked with Autumn, our band & photographer to time everything perfectly. And most important, my final price was the exact price to the penny of what I was quoted. No surprises! Awesome! Chris VanWinkle Photography & his assistant blended in with our crowd & were part of the family. We cannot wait to see the images. Last but not least, Mac Daddy Band provided an incredible entertainment factor to our evening. First off, the sound they create is amazing, they have a vast song list & their vocals are the very best. We wanted live music & most of the vendors for this were for DJ's so I had to find this source myself. They exceeded our expectations & the expectations of our guests. The more you communicate with the Planners at Castle Farms, the better your experience will be. Some things I didn’t like were that they had people touring our reception room like right up until just before the ceremony and I didn’t want to worry about stuff that I already had set up . Also hotel rooms are scarce in Charlevoix , there’s no big chains and they’re expensive in the summer and many require two night minimums. So if you have a lot of people traveling that’s something to think about. There’s also not Uber or lyft in the area yet so a shuttle is recommended. Kelley Gordon(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-07-2017 I got married in the Knight's Courtyard with the reception in the Knight's Castle in July 2017. As everyone has already stated, the venue is beautiful and sells itself as a venue. The only thing I didn't like about the venue itself was that they take away from some of the class of the venue by having installed a massive 2-3 story metal knight and a giant dragon out back -- I was glad the Knight's Castle was the farthest away from those so my guests wouldn't feel like I was getting married at medieval times. The reason why I removed a star was due to the contract process, management, and staff. Firstly, the contract I signed for the venue has conflicting and additional terms with the packet you get about a month out from the wedding that you must also sign, which is concerning. Secondly, I understand staff changes over time, but the time from when I was signing the contract through my wedding I probably was bounced around to at least 4-5 coordinators. They have 1 email address that goes to all of the coordinators and I almost never spoke to the same one, which made me uneasy and questioned how well each of them were aware of my previous conversations with the other 3-4 people (I'm sure they'll say that have some file with all my emails in it, but still - consistency of a contact person would increase comfort level for a bride). I also felt response times could have been better, especially when some of my emails were over the winter and it's not as busy. One of our vendors had also told us to leave a check in the office and they would pick it up from there since they were catering there the day before our wedding - my dad left the check and I happened to walk in just as the manager there was huffing an puffing about someone leaving a check and how on earth would that be ok etc. etc. - I immediately told her that was my family, and she tried to cover it up by blaming it on the vendor - totally unprofessional either way. Leading up to the wedding, our very last payment was in the mail and the day after it was due they threatened to cancel our event! Completely unprofessional, especially considering they received it the very next day and it was a minimal amount compared to the 97% we'd already paid. The day of, we paid extra to have access to the bridal suite much earlier and NO ONE told me there was actually going to be a wedding literally 1 foot away from where myself and my bridesmaids were all trying to have some fun, play some music and have some drinks, until about 10 minutes before the other person's wedding showed up. We had to turn off our music and basically sit in silence for half an hour because we could hear almost every word of their ceremony. Our coordinator was nice, but was pretty quiet and left very early - I don't think I ever saw her after the ceremony. Instead they had someone else come in, who was definitely drinking our booze and wasn't paying attention. He failed to timely play our exit song when we walked back down the aisle. After the wedding they had thrown out ALL of our boxes for decorations so we had no choice but to leave them there overnight. Then they tried to charge us a storage fee of $150! Once we raised the issue with them they removed it from our bill, but again - totally unprofessional. Venue is beautiful, but management needs some work. Reviewed on 18-11-2017

Walking down the aisle and saying our vows with the views of the castle was the most amazing experience. My coordinator was Autumn. Autumn was seriously AMAZING! I planned this wedding from California by myself and she was always quick to respond or answer questions. She was so awesome at rehearsal and wedding day as well. She helped with soooo much and it was nice to just relax and enjoy my wedding day. The day was even better and more dreamy than I ever imagined it. I don’t even have my professional photos back just iPhone photos and everyone tells me my wedding looked better than bridal magazine photos. I HIGHLY recommend this venue. Reviewed on 24-10-2017

Our coordinator, MaryAnn, was sweet and professional, and wonderful to work with, the venue is absolutely gorgeous, and we were able to decorate the reception hall exactly how we wanted to. Everything was so organized - I had a few people at the reception tell me that it was the only wedding they’d been to that actually started on time. There are so many different locations on the grounds for photos, so you never even have to leave!Everyone at the castle was so accommodating and professional and I cannot recommend it as a venue enough. Everyone who works there is amazing and so sincere. We visited many times but it always felt like the first when we were greeted! Our wedding was upstairs in the Kings Great Hall with MaryAnn as our coordinator. I honestly can't sing her praises enough! She was an angel! Kelly LeBlanc(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-08-2017 My husband and I are so happy we chose Castle Farms as our wedding venue! We were impressed by the property the moment we saw it. And our guests absolutely loved it too. Even our guests from Ireland were in awe of the Castle, and they know a thing or two about castles!. We were looking for a place that was naturally beautiful- where minimal decorations would be needed and there would be plenty of great photo opportunities. Well, Castle Farms fits that criteria in every way. We had our ceremony in the Queen's Courtyard and reception in the King's Great Hall. The staff is very helpful and we enjoyed working with our wedding coordinator, MaryAnn. Reviewed on 24-09-2017
Heather S(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-07-2017 The castle staff were all amazing and helpful at every step of the way. Once you get to a couple months prior to your actual wedding date they assign you a wedding coordinator and she will help with every question you may still have and help on your wedding day. I worked with Sarah and loved working with her. It couldn't have been a better experience. They help with the ceremony music, I just provided the music and they played it perfectly, they help your wedding party so that they know when they are supposed to be walking out to make sure everything ran smoothly at the ceremony. Before the reception started they went and lit all of the candles from our centerpieces so we didn't have to worry about rushing there after the ceremony before the guests walked in. The bridal suite was also perfect. I'm so glad that we chose castle farms for our venue and wish I could go back and do it all over again!! The wedding day was absolutely perfect! The castle of course gave us the most beautiful pictures with such beautiful scenery!! Reviewed on 24-09-2017
Sabrina Adas(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2017 This place is beyond spectacular! I got married there sept 1 in the knights castle. The venue was breathtaking and the staff for the most part was great! My only complaints were that they kept bringing in tours through our venue while we were setting up and after and people were touching things and picking up stuff off our tables! Plus the tour guide yelled at me to be quieter so she could do her tour! Unless those people paid even half the amount of money we paid for that hall that weekend they shouldn't be in there. Also if the bride pays for an extra hour for the bridal suite there shouldn't be other rehearsals in that space! Also my coordinator left pretty early day of which was kind of weird and I had a specific cocktail hour playlist that I wanted played and my bridesmaid said when she came into cocktail hour after pictures gangster rap was playing! Obviously the wrong playlist played by the assistant of my coordinator- we laughed it off but still not appropriate for the event... all in all if you have the bigger budget for it I'd recommend this venue for sure!!! Taylor Itsell(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-09-2017 Just got married at Castle Farms on Saturday. We booked the East Garden Room/Queen's Courtyard in April 2016 and were SO EXCITED! It's a GORGEOUS venue and seemed to fit all of our needs. However, I will say that we did not have a good experience with our coordinator. It didn't start off well so we spoke with the events director about it. We saw some positive changes after that and decided to stick with her. However, the day of the wedding made us wish we had changed coordinators. Luckily for me, my mom stepped in to handle all of the issues so I could focus on getting married. I am very organized and not high maintenance. I think because of this, things weren't worse than the were. We had pretty reasonable expectations and they definitely were not met. I wish that we could get our money back on the coordinator part of our total bill because I feel like the role was filled between myself, my mom and MIL. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars as one of the most beautiful venues I've ever seen but a 1 out of 5 for the coordinator services. The other thing is that they really need to edit their standard decor. It was hard to take pictures on their grounds and other parts of the castle without having very kitschy stuff in the background (thank goodness for photoshop). Another note for couples looking at the East Garden Room (in my opinion the most beautiful room the have). They are remodeling the room in December and they will be enclosing the beautiful ceiling they have that gives that dreamy boathouse look. My last bit of advise is that the rain space for the stunning Queen's Courtyard is the hallway between the East and West Garden Rooms. We did not like this at all so we created our own rain backup space in the East Garden Room with help of our wonderful draping vendor (Sweet Seats Chair Coverings). We lucked out and didn't have to use it but it gave me great peace of mind to know that we had a beautiful option in case of rain that wasn't a poorly thought out hallway.I do a lot of large events for work and if we had an experience like this we would be looking for a different venue. I hope that Castle Farms make some positive changes so as to give other couples a better experience!Luckily it was such a happy day that this won't be the first or only thing we will remember. I truly felt like a queen throughout my planning of our wedding. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and our coordinator, Sarah, was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I planned my wedding in 4 short months, from the opposite end of the country, by myself while being geographically separated from my husband, friends and family.
