Castle Hill of Oxford is a wedding venue in Oxford, MS. Sitting on 40 acres of land, this setting sports a classic elegance for couples to enjoy during their celebration. Whether you dream of an intimate elopement or lavish reception, the in-house team will make sure you have everything you need to bring your vision to life. First established in 2001 as a bed-and-breakfast, Castle Hill of Oxford transformed into a romantic wedding and event venue by 2015. Rolling hills, flourishing oak trees, and classic architecture are present throughout the setting, making for a picturesque backdrop. With 15,000 square feet of space, this venue can host events with over 300 attendees. You will have multiple locations to choose from, including the Grand Ballroom, the intimate Courtyard, or the two waterfront lawns. The in-house team will work closely with you during your planning process. Catering, bar services, and day-of coordination are some of the many options they provide to complete your wedding experience. In addition, you and your guests will have multiple guest rooms to choose from, with cozy bedding and vintage decor to help you feel right at home.

All around outstanding experience @ Castle Hill with Ms. Jean and Ms. Emily in Oxford, MS. The Venue is beautiful and elegant and the hospitality and professionalism of Ms. Jean and Ms. Emily and staff is unbeatable. They were patient and flexible with me throughout the planning process and provided their expertise knowledge to help my first daughters wedding be everything we expected it to be in presentation, but also fun and enjoyable. Emily is amazing at Event Coordinating and she collaborated with all of the local business partners (@Oxford Floral, @Detail Rentals, @ Taylor Square Photography, @Dear Little Films) to plan and organize this event . I am so thankful that my daughter chose to get married at Castle Hill even though we didn't live in Oxford, MS. No words explain it better than hers the very next morning after her wedding day \"WE HAD THE BEST DAY EVER!!! It Truly was everything I ever wanted it to be. SO BEAUTIFUL.\" (heart). So if you are planning to get married in Oxford, MS, I would totally recommend you use this event Venue.

We recently had our wedding at Castle Hill in May of this year. The venue is absolutely beautiful & definitely brought our dream wedding to life! It’s nice & very convenient for guests to have everything in one location .. Chapel, Ballroom, Courtyard, Guest Rooms. (The chapel is what sealed the deal for us, absolutely breathtaking!) Jean, Emily & the staff were very professional, personable & accommodating. Emily went over & beyond to make sure everything went smoothly on the day of. All of our guests complimented on how gorgeous the venue was & had an amazing time! I could not have dreamed of a more beautiful wedding!

Castle Hill is a gorgeous venue and was the perfect place for my daughter's wedding. They made her dream wedding a reality! The staff was very professional and personable and we could not have asked for a better experience. Even when unexpected circumstances arose, they were very accommodating and took care of us. All of our guests bragged about how beautiful it was and how wonderful the food was. Jean and Emily are very organized and lend their expertise in helping plan and execute the perfect day!

When my daughter said she had found the perfect venue for her wedding I had no idea how true her words were. It was perfect for having the wedding and reception in 1 location. The outside grounds are gorgeous. The chapel is breathtakingly beautiful. The food delicious! -from the true LA Cajun guests -“the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had”. Mrs Jean was so easy to work work with. Emily -the planner was most efficient and accommodating. The wait staff so much fun and efficient. The perfect spot for the perfect wedding!

Absolutely the most amazing venue! Our daughter and son-in-law were married there 6/12/21. Jean, the venue owner, and Emily, wedding day coordinator, are incredible women! Very honest and great to work with! Jean does all the catering for the venue. I think this is what makes this venue so wonderful! Exceptional food and service! Every aspect of this place is simply beautiful! Perfect place for a southern style wedding! The chapel is brand new and is stunning. The courtyard and grounds are very well groomed and beautifully maintained. Their newly renovated ballroom is so elegant and perfect for a dream reception! Very clean and beautifully decorated! Emily is the wedding day coordinator, I have never met a more organized woman! She is worth her weight in gold! We also hired her as our wedding planner and she was amazing! Everything that Sydney and Hinton had dreamed for their perfect wedding, she was able to make it all come true! We could not think of one thing that we would change! Once we arrived at Castle Hill, we didn't have to worry about a thing or lift a finger for anything! It was all very well planned and top shelf service!! Emily has everything very organized and keeps the day on track!! Just perfect so you can enjoy every aspect of your special day!!We had their rehearsal dinner there, as well. Again, the food was absolutely amazing! The servers were exceptional. I can't brag on them enough! I don't think my wine glass was completely empty all night! Their wedding day was absolutely magical! From the huge bridal suit the girls used to get ready during the day, to the beautiful sparkler send off out front of the beautiful southern style white columned home at the end of the night! The bridal suite is equipped with great lighting and mirrored stations for hairstylists and makeup artists to do their work. Plenty of room for all 9 bridesmaids to hangout and sip on mimosas and eat brunch. The brand new chapel was something you would see in a magazine! Simply stunning! From the beautiful cathedral windows to the gold icicle chandeliers. So elegant and picturesque. Not to mention, the acoustics were perfect for our sting trio. It made the music sound so beautiful. I just can't say enough about this place! They had a cocktail hour after the wedding outside in the beautiful courtyard with a jazz band. Again, plenty of servers to make sure everyone were offered hors d'oeuvres and the bartenders were fast and great! The reception was the best!! Great place to have a live band! Their is a large stage and they have a green room for the band to go to between sets to eat and rest. Great dance floor and bar area! Just beautiful!! And did I mention the food? The food was so delicious!! Our guest have gone on, and on, how this was the best food they have ever had at an event or wedding reception of this size! The best beef tenderloin I think I have ever tasted! And the the late night snacks...be sure you have the hamburger and fries! She serves on a glazed donut! Yum! Jean makes sure everything is perfect from the presentation of the food, to the way it all tastes! Very high class venue! Just perfect for your once in a life time dream wedding!!

If we could rate Castle Hill higher than 5 stars, we would! We cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue is and all that it offers! It’s beautiful and helped bring my wedding dreams to life! Jean and Emily are incredible to work with and help with everything that you need! It was so nice to be able to get married in the new chapel and then walk a few steps over to the ballroom for our reception! It was also very convenient for my parents to stay the weekend in the rooms that are offered upstairs. Castle Hill is a one stop shop for everything you need for your wedding! We could not have picked a better venue. The food is also amazing! You cannot find a better venue filled with beauty, hospitality, amazing owners/employees and professional advice and help! Highly recommended!

Oh my! Castle Hill is a setting for a story book wedding. Every bride should have such a setting. Everything is right there at your fingertips. The Chapel is so tranquil and gorgeous that very few flowers are needed. The Ballroom is perfect, lots of room, a stage for the band and the perfect bar overlooking the ball room. The Bride’s Room is wonderful with a professional steamer machine right there at your finger tips with lots of makeup mirrors, and plenty of restrooms. The bride can, if she wishes, soak in the tub that could be a swimming pool. Our family chose to stay at Castle Hill for the weekend and the rooms are all so pretty and perfect. It was so nice to be right there and never get in a car. Ms. Jean and Mr. Randy take such good care of the venue and Ms. Jean and her staff prepared the most wonderful and beautiful food. Throughout the day of the wedding, if I couldn’t find something all I had to do was look up and either the wedding coordinator Emily or Easton who I think of as a Head Butler were there to help. All of them could not have been any nicer or more helpful. I just can’t say enough wonderful things about Castle Hill.

Emily and Jean made sure we were connected to the best vendors and helped us every step of the way. The food was incredible and the chapel is the prettiest one you will find!! They made what could have been a stressful event lovely!! We highly recommend Castle Hill!!

Castle Hill is an amazing venue and Jean Abrams, the owner, is nothing short of a miracle worker and Fairy Godmother rolled into one! Late one night I got a frantic phone call from my daughter telling me that the wedding venue we had booked in Oxford, over six months prior, had gone out of business without notifying anyone! With their wedding less than five months away, we were really in a pickle! Later that evening, we saw the sweetest Facebook post from Jean expressing her concern for all the brides affected by this situation. I called her early the next morning and two days later we toured her beautiful venue and booked it on the spot. That fiasco turned into such a blessing!!! Jean and her staff are awesome. They have great suggestions and are so easy to work with. The venue is so pretty for pictures. Since you have access to all the spacious facilities, guests can be at the center of the celebration in the ballroom or can visit and hold conversations in one of the parlors or beautiful bar area. My daughter and son-in-law loved every minute of their wedding reception at Castle Hill!!!

Our wedding at Castle Hill was an absolute dream! We toured every wedding venue in Oxford, but as soon as we came to Castle Hill we knew it was the perfect place for our reception. Castle Hill has an incredibly beautiful interior and exterior (perfect for first look, bridal party, and family pictures), and unmatched sophistication and elegance. The stage is a perfect performance area for a band, and people raved about the delicious food! Jean and Emily are very accommodating and easy to work with. I cannot recommend Castle Hill highly enough to any engaged couples who want to get married in Oxford!

When we found out that Castle Hill was available for our wedding date, Caleb and I were thrilled! Castle Hill had always been one of my favorite locations in Oxford and could not be a more perfect place to get married. Every inch of the property is well maintained and the decorations within the house are stunning. During the walk-through you see just how beautiful the venue is, but here are a few things that will really set your big day over the top: 1. Bridal Suite: This is a game changer. I had eleven bridesmaids, three mothers, two make-up and hair stylists, along with two flower girls and there was plenty of room for everyone to get dressed. Not to mention it is a beautiful space! 2. Green Room: Having had a live band, this was one feature they raved about. Having an area where they could change, take their break, and eat dinner was greatly appreciated. Style the Band was our entertainment and I HIGHLY recommend them. Amy was wonderful to work with! 3. Ceremony locations: The grounds are beautifully manicured which allows you flexibility as to where you host your ceremony. Whether it be in the courtyard, on the front porch (rain plan), by the pool, or under a tent in the front yard, the possibilities are endless. 4. Use of real candles: Many venues do allow candles to be lit, but Castle Hill does. To go along with the Southern theme of my wedding, we used many lanterns and candles as table decorations. 5. On site lodging: Caleb and I stayed on site the evening of our wedding. The room was beautiful and when you are exhausted after the wedding, it is nice to be able to go upstairs to your room. 6. Photos: Because there are such beautiful locations on site, I would recommend doing a walk-through with your photographer to see where you would like certain photos taken. I knew I did not want the same backdrop in every photo, so we really took advantage of the space we were given. Overall, I would highly recommend Castle Hill as your wedding venue. You will not be disappointed!

We loved our experience with Castle Hill! The entire staff went out of their way to make sure that our day was perfect! We utilized both the venue for our rehearsal/wedding and the onsite bed and breakfast for our honeymoon suite. The staff were all friendly and approachable, food was delicious, and the venue was perfect. If you are searching for a classic venue in Oxford for your event, I would highly recommend Castle Hill! We couldn't be more thrilled, and we received so many compliments from guests.

We got married on March 10, 2018, and Castle Hill was the perfect place for our wedding! Emily was our wedding coordinator, and she was so accommodating throughout the entire process. She checked on me multiple times while we were getting ready and made sure every detail was perfect. Jean, the venue owner, is also the chef, and EVERYONE raved about the food. Every bit of it was delicious! These ladies made sure everything was in check and helped make our day perfect. Not only that, but the property is just beautiful. Most of my husband's family is from Nebraska, so we wanted to show them a sweet southern wedding. They all just loved the venue and all the details in the house. Overall, we wouldn't have changed a single thing, and we very much recommend Castle Hill as your wedding venue!

My wedding was at The Colonel's Quarters on November 12, 2016. The venue was gorgeous - perfect backdrop for the wedding. It was so convenient to be able to stay in the Oxford Room on the property the night before the wedding, and the bridal party's getting ready area was fabulous. The food was amazing, and Tess and Jean made my wedding go so smoothly. I was able to stay calm and just enjoy my day thanks to their hard work. I can't recommend the Colonel's Quarters highly enough!

I'm not one to post reviews, but after attending a wedding of a dear friend's daughter at Castle HIll and reading a previous negative review, I decided I would give my two cents worth. This place is a gem! The property is absolutey breathtaking with the unmistakable southern atmosphere. Our overnight accomodations were perfect as was the breakfast. The owner, Jean, made us feel so at home and event coordinator, Tess was more than we deserved. On the day of the wedding, God Bless Her Soul, Tess is the one preparing our food! This is dedication! The late hours she was there on Friday and back again on Saturday morning show her commitment to not only her job, but to the bride and guests. The food was absolutely amazing! It was real food not just pretty food. Our friends are still talking about it weeks later. Her \"Southern Comforts' of little mason jars with shrimp and grits or catfish, hushpuppies and hoppin john were precious mini meals but the buttered beef tenderloin melted in your mouth! OMG! To Die For! :) OH! and her candied bacon...I have no words! OH and the DONUT BURGERS! Yes!!! We had Donut Burgers and Fries in little carry out chinese boxes for late night. Adorable and delicious!WE HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT CASTLE HILL!!!!I guess it bothers me to read reviews and comments when I know there is probably more to the story than the negative that has been posted because our experence was nothing but wonderful! I know as a business, you can't say certain things to defend yourself and I respect Jean and Tess for not stooping to that level. Some people are just unhappy and they find comfort in hurting others. I will say I find it almost comical that money was stolen from a couple's card box the way it was described. I'm sure there have been many years of card boxes and none reported missing. I wonder if the bride and groom didn't overspend and think they would extort cash from Castle Hill, or maybe the money was never placed in the box by the wonderful relative that claimed to have left it.Think about it... As for the coordinating of the wedding, Tess was able to handle our large crowd of outspoken young men and women and get them down the aisle. The rest of the night she watched our crowd and things took place as she, the sober one, felt should happen. If I am correct, some of her services are included in the venue fee and others are additional. Maybe some brides should hire an outside Day of Wedding Coordinator if they expect to be catered to every minute of the day and evening. I know from experience this can be an addional $3000 or more. I think Tess handled our event just fine and my friend saved $3000! The Staff! Oh My! We could not have been happier with the staff. The bartenders were fun and the rest of the staff kept our tables clean from dirty plates and cups all night. They worked hard and alway had smiles on their faces. We especially loved Lanie and Jessica!REMEMBER- there are 2 sides to every story. Unhappy people are usually that way all the time so please don't let a negative review influence you, especially one where police were involved and found no fault in Castle Hill. Jean has a great crew working for her! Castle HIll is an amazing venue and I would recommend it to anyone planning a wedding in Oxford.Mary Dale WalkerAllen, TX

Jean Abrams (Owner)

Jean has been helping brides make their wedding day dreams come true since 2003. As the first wedding venue in Oxford, she and Castle Hill has hosted over 300 weddings and receptions. After graduating from Ole Miss and the University of MS Medical Center with a BS degree in Nursing, Jean's first career was a Cardiovascular Nurse. That probably explains her nurturing personality. She and her husband moved to Oxford in 1999 and built Castle Hill from the ground up. She enjoys going to dog shows with her Toy Fox Terriers, traveling, the beach and reading.
