They made our special day the best it could have been. So professional yet friendly, they were constantly anticipating needs and taking the stress of the day off my shoulders. Countless people said it was the best wedding venue they’ve been to thanks to the beauty of the place and the delicious food. The Castle Unicorn staff was incredible— John & Ray especially catered to our every need, and were on top of every last detail! The little things like pouring our champagne glasses for toasts, making my plate up for me for dinner, and gifting us with a Polaroid picture from after our ceremony made our day even more special. From the moment I stepped foot on this property I fell in love ! The entire process leading up to the wedding was super easy and John made it stress free. He has everything well planned and laid out. Made planning our wedding a breeze, on the day of the wedding John kept everything on track, and well organized. He coordinated with the officiant, the dj, the photographer perfectly. The food was the best wedding food I’ve ever had. I can’t commend John and his staff enough. They made our wedding absolutely perfect and not a detail was spared. Thank you so much for everything you did to make the evening magical.

John and Ray were fantastic! We couldn’t have asked for a better day, they and their staff made sure the whole day went smoothly, and were a huge help with coordinating everything, making sure everything was set up - even down to the guest book table decorations! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and we received so many compliments from our guests. They were also very accommodating for our guests with mobility issues - even offering a ride in a golf cart up to the ceremony area for my grandmother. The food was delicious. Nothing but amazing things to say about our experience!

John and Ray were fantastic! We couldn’t have asked for a better day, they and their staff made sure the whole day went smoothly, and were a huge help with coordinating everything, making sure everything was set up - even down to the guest book table decorations! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and we received so many compliments from our guests. From the moment we drove up the hill for our tour, we knew Castle Unicorn was where we were going to get married. Not only is the venue STUNNING, but the service and amenities are even better! My fiance and I were pleased that the food, alcohol, DJ, wedding night suite, linens, tables and chairs, and even decor was covered in our costs at Castle Unicorn. That saved us so much time and resources, which helped make our wedding experience more enjoyable. Castle Unicorn even set up decor up and took it down at the end of the night. There were never drinks or plates sitting on tables because the staff was constantly walking around and picking up, making sure our space looked tidy and beautiful throughout the night. John and Ray went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that we had a perfect day. They were excellent communicators, invited us out to the Castle for a food tasting months before our wedding, and were on top of everything throughout the process. We were never worried about anything and they truly helped us feel peace. I have heard from several of our 175 guests that we had the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. From the Castle, to the trees, stunning views from the hill, and water/fountains. It was truly a beautiful and perfect day and we cannot thank Castle Unicorn enough! I cannot share enough positive words about our experience with Castle Unicorn.

They were great! Ray and John were amazing, the communication was perfect, just enough but not overwhelming. They made the whole process so easy and just stress free! They were there every step of the way! They even have a few tips and tricks up their sleeves that come in handy! When we arrived at Castle Unicorn for the first time, the two of us look at each other and knew this would be our venue. Castle Unicorn is the first and only palace we look at for our weeding… if you are wondering the answer is YES, Castle Unicorn is that beautiful! The day of our weeding the place looked absolutely beautiful, just like a place taken out of a fairy tale, everything was perfect and in place, this in turn allowed us to just enjoy our big day, this a testimony of the staff actually listening to us and materializing all our likes and needs in the decoration and atmosphere. The set-up of the whole place was detailed and immaculate, just stunning, and the service stellar, impeccable from the way the staff dressed to the way they catered and serviced our guests, impressive, remarkable… just incredible. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Most of our guests said that this was the most beautiful wedding they have attended in their lives. This in large was due to John and Ray, the owners, and their staff at Castle Unicorn, that provide us with tons of useful advice and at the same time were open to our ideas. This truly was the wedding we always dream of; I could not imagine us getting married anywhere else. Castle Unicorn and their staff really made our wedding the most beautiful wedding ever! They are the best! If you are planning a wedding or just thinking about getting married, pay them a visit, you will be glad you did, I can guarantee it!

Personally, I don't think there was a better place to have a wedding. John and Rey were 2 of the best guys to work with on such a monumentous occasion. The venue is beautiful. All the employees were so helpful. And I am a it neurotic and John or Rey always picked up and walked me through whatever I had questions about. So I would I am so glad my husband and I choose this venue as it is one of the best looking venues in Iowa or Nebraska and so much was included. The price also wasn't bad for the venue and perks that we git. 10/10 would definetly renew my vows here in the future.

All the employees were so helpful. And I am a it neurotic and John or Rey always picked up and walked me through whatever I had questions about. So I would I am so glad my husband and I choose this venue as it is one of the best looking venues in Iowa or Nebraska and so much was included. The price also wasn't bad for the venue and perks that we git. 10/10 would definetly renew my vows here in the future.

John and Ray are an amazing duo along with their staff to make sure your day goes smoothly!! I was able to trust them and they were able to set up, and take down everything. They made my vision come to life. They communicate frequently with you and will answer any questions you may have. The venue itself it worth the cost. BEAUTIFUL scenery for your photos, and their food is yummy as well!! They also have a room for the couple to stay in over night so you do not have to worry about driving home after all the fun. It was an experience that has had family and friends still talking about it :)

On the day of my wedding, I was incredibly relaxed thanks to John and his staff. They handle everything! I brought some decor pieces I wanted displayed and they put it all up themselves so that I could relax in the bridal suite. Caleb and I loved staying the night as well, it was the perfect way to end the evening! I highly recommend Castle Unicorn for your big day.

Castle Unicorn was everything we had hope for. From day one John and Ray are on top of everything. John and Ray are in constant communication with you through the whole process, even a year away from the wedding. Castle Unicorn provides a lot for the big day, so there is not too much you really have to stress about. By the end of the whole process, you do feel as though the Castle Unicorn staff are your friends because that is how much you are in communication with them. There was no need to invest in a coordinator because John was there to help with almost everything. The day of seems like it would be such a stressful time, but the staff does a wonderful job being there every step of the way to make sure everything is set up perfectly and going smoothly. Where the ceremony was has perfect greenery in the background. The food was amazing and thankfully how it was served allowed us to actually have a moment to eat. The staff did a wonderful job serving the food and the desserts. The set up was perfect to where everyone could move around easily. John and Regan continually checked in on us to make sure that we were happy and did as little as possible. John really does an awesome job making sure that everything runs very smoothly. Castle Unicorn is definitely worth the investment. It was the wedding of our dreams! Thank you, John and Ray, for the most beautiful wedding we could have asked for.

John and Regan continually checked in on us to make sure that we were happy and did as little as possible. John really does an awesome job making sure that everything runs very smoothly. Castle Unicorn is definitely worth the investment. It was the wedding of our dreams! Thank you, John and Ray, for the most beautiful wedding we could have asked for.

Having our wedding at Castle Unicorn was a dream come true! Ray and John really made us feel special, and provided undivided attention every time we spoke. THey were very quick to respond to all my questions and helped calmed my nerves while wedding planning. One of the many things i loved about Castle Unicorn, is there all inclusive approach. Not having to worry about hiring all the individual people like caterers, linens, chairs, tables, DJ, decorations, etc. Castle took care of everything. THe location is also spectacularly beautiful, so very minimal decoration was needed on my part. THey helped me to set up on day of and handled the rehearsal and every aspect of my day to ensure a smooth and perfect event!

The wedding was amazing. John and Ray were there with us every step of the way and ensured that we had the best night ever. We were dancing and eating and drinking till the very end. The staff was very courteous and insured everything was very clean. It was the most beautiful setting, lots a fantastic food and the DJ through Complete played great music! Nikki set the tone that we wanted for our special day and couldn’t of asked for more! The outdoor ceremony was beautiful for a September day. We were covered in shade by the trees and our guests were comfortable. The reception was underneath the pavilion. On our wedding day it was windy, but we we’re lucky they were able to close the pavilion walls like a garage to keep the wind out! Once the wind died down they were able to open the walls and the weather remained beautiful with a light breeze throughout the reception. The venue itself is so beautiful you hardly need any decorations. We were also fortunate to be able to use some of the venues decorations for free. The bridal suite is huge and has nearly 3 vanities for the women to get ready and a huge master bedroom. The groom suite is also amazing and the guys can go on the rooftop to hangout! Highly recommend!!

Castle Unicorn went above and beyond to ensure our day was exactly what we wanted. Even during a hectic time in our lives, the middle of a pandemic, they moved our date and accommodated for the ever changing situations surrounding the virus. Once our second date arrived they stayed in contact with us regularly making sure we were on track with every detail. The big couldn't have ran more smoothly! They had staff that meet us at the driveway and were with open arms willing to collect our items and take them to where they needed to be and set up anything that we asked them to. All throughout the day while we were getting ready and having photographs taken they were making sure everything was placed perfectly and tuned up so that we could rock n roll on time and without a single glitch. They take care of the DJ for you, which is a HUGE perk, they know the DJs and have worked with them before so they know how to cue them and keep everything running perfectly. The menu choices that you get to choose from are absolutely amazing and our meal was delicious. They also take down and help you get loaded back up after the wedding leaving clean up and departure a breeze.The couple gets the pleasure of staying in the Castle the night of their wedding this is a very special time and a time to unwind and reflect on the day. I think hands down this was the most amazing venue and am so extremely thankful we chose them to take care of us on our WEDDING DAY!!!

John and Ray and their entire staff made our wedding the best day of our lives! We didn't have to stress or worry about ANYTHING! They had everything covered, they knew all the right questions to ask us before our big day to make sure our wedding went smoothly with no hiccups or last minute \"we didn't think of that!\". When people get engaged, my best recommendation is to go with a location and bundle deal that is all inclusive because it takes the stress off of those little details. There were several times I asked them where/when I should do something, and they'd tell me, \"Oh, no, we'll do that for you.\"We had hundreds of little desserts that needed to go in cups, so I asked them where I should go to start doing that. They grabbed everything and did it all for me! They also arranged hundreds of little pumpkins and gourds around the area for me, then took pictures to make sure I was happy with it. Not having to worry about set up or tear down made the day so much easier!You can tell John absolutely loves what he does; at one point he was out there with us on the dance floor having a blast. He and his staff treat the couple like they are the actual king and queen of the castle throughout the entire wedding. There's none of that \"we already have your money\" attitude, they will go so far above and beyond for you, even to the very end.The grounds were stunning, clean, and everyone was in awe of how beautiful everything was. The ceremony was perfect, with a cute little arch all set up for us. Staying the night at the castle was also perfect, with a big jacuzzi tub and that giant, comfortable bed.The little cherry on top was that the next morning, they loaded us up with all the leftovers, so we don't have to worry about cooking for a few months now!I have absolutely nothing negative to say about these guys, and if we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!!!

We did have a ton of children at our wedding which was an initial concern with some of the previous reviews that we read online but we didn't have any problems at all. The staff members were very welcoming to the children and parents. Our wedding day was perfect , John and Ray were there when ever I needed a hand or looked confused. So much was going on at our event they kept me on time and STRESS FREE . All of our vendors turned out to be very well acquainted with Castle Unicorn so it was almost like Family working together but the good family that gets along. Castle Unicorn allowed My husband and I to visit the Venue as many time as we needed to go over all the details of our day. Their process is fool proof and they will not rush you to make a decision NOR do they have any hidden fees. These lovely owners are as transparent as glass making every aspect of this crystal clear. PERFECT!! All of our guests are still talking about the food, We got the three tier menu with garlic chicken house beef potatoes etc and I don't even think there was any chicken left. We spent the night in the castle and the next day all of our items were packed and delivered to our car. TALK ABOUT SERVICE!! I feel like this place should be priced higher for what you really get . The package is outlined with specifics as any other venue but what your really taking from Castle Unicorn is priceless !! Everything was professional and well handled. It was organized and timely. Castle Unicorn was a dream wedding. Everything was perfect. John helped out with everything from a needle and thread to a glass of wine when I needed one. Everything was professional and well handled. It was organized and timely. Before the wedding we were guiding through the process to make us feel comfortable and make sure everything was thought of and and all planned out. They helped us through every step. Our guests raved about the food and how beautiful the location was. We couldn't have had a more perfect wedding and we owe it all to Castle Unicorn!

Castle Unicorn was AMAZING! We did not have to worry about a single thing the entire day, they set everything up, they organized the ceremony, they got us everything and anything we needed. John and Ray, along with all the staff, truly made our day as magical as it could possibly be. The food was amazing, one guest told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The grounds and reception area were phenomenal and just absolutely gorgeous. 100000% recommend to anyone looking at venues!!

This wedding venue was absolutely perfect. Everything was taken care of by the two men in charge all we had to do was show up with a cake and a pastor. I absolutely loved it there and that is saying a lot being from Texas and all. The views were stunning, the food extremely delicious, the price was just right for what we wanted, and even more the night stay in the castle was ghost free. All in all if what you are looking for is a day of to enjoy your new found life with your other half then Castle Unicorn is the way to go.

Truly the best experience ever. It rained on our day. We still managed to have the ceremony outside. Even still after the rain the winds came in and they still without a beat made sure everything was good to try and keep water out of the venue. It wasn't just that. We never had to do anything. Our day was absolutely amazing thanks to Castle Unicorn. Since I was a little girl I have dreamed and pretended to be a princess or Maid Marian from Robin Hood getting married in the forest next to my castle. Castle Unicorn made all of those dreams a reality, and they did so much more! My husband and I live in California, and I am from Nebraska. This was the perfect venue for us planning long distance as they do everything for you! It was also wonderful that I could have my outdoor wedding back home and not have to stress about having a backup plan for the weather, they’ve got all of that figured out! John and Ray are both phenomenal and amazing at what they do: John is hilarious, and so much fun to have around- he keeps the day going like a day-of wedding coordinator too! He even saved me back a piece of each kind of cake we had and thank goodness too because I ended up never making it to the cake table for any on my own time! I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and thoughtfulness when it came to the day of and even after. Castle Unicorn was the best decision we made as a couple! Perfect, absolutely perfect. From the moment we drove up the driveway for our first tour, to the moment we left as husband and wife, everything was perfect! \rJon took us for a personal tour of the private property. Jon made us feel right at home and even let us walk around alone for a bit before we talked about the pricing. Once we sat down with Jon back in the castle, he began going over everything the castle includes with its service. Once Jon showed us the pricing options, I had to do everything in my power to pretend like I wasn’t sure. We asked more questions and talked about the castle some more and then we were on our way. There was no pressure to book that day at all. \rWe booked a week later. Jon set up a payment plan with us where we sent a check every two months until the wedding. Once we got closer to the wedding, Jon sent us all the info on the remaining decisions and made it super easy to decide. \rThe day of the wedding, I was nervous. I had read some reviews on the castle and they raved about how Jon took care of everything and was always there when you needed him. I was honestly afraid that he would be too in my business and I wouldn’t be able to just enjoy my wedding with my friends and family. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Jon really did take care of everything and was always around if I needed anything, but yet, I felt like he was barely there that day. Anything we needed, he handled. It was like having our own personal wedding planner to run around and make sure everything was going just as planned. I don’t think we could have hired anyone better. \rThe pictures we took at Castle Unicorn were incredible, I am pretty sure we got more pictures of the castle and grounds from our family and friends than we did of anything else. The one thing I will say about the castle, is to hire a photographer that has been there before. We went with one that had no idea where or what it was. So on our wedding day, he was still learning where the best locations and greatest features were located.That being said, it is really hard to take a bad picture when you have a gorgeous castle and grounds in the background. \rThe reception went perfect. We had selected the trees as our location which worked out perfectly. Jon had everything set up for us, even a table to place our unity supplies on. Which we didn’t know we wanted until an hour before we got married. Jon got it handled for us. \rAfter the wedding, my wife and I did a receiving line at the end of the trees and then got to send everyone to the reception. We decided on an open bar. This is completely a personal decision for most, but if you are debating to or not. Do it! Out of all the decisions we made about the wedding, the open bar was the best decision. We still receive comments about how awesome that was. Jon has it set up real easily so not only is it affordable, but you can choose an option based on your budget.\rThe food was awesome! Once again, a few bad reviews had left me a little uneasy about the food, so I was cautious going in. I was in for a surprise, everything tasted incredible! It a perfect buffet style dinner that tasted great! Jon also packages up all the left overs for you to take home, which is a huge benefit.\rOverall, I would rate Castle Unicorn perfect! Everything that Jon could have done, he went above and beyond to get it done! This is the perfect place for an outdoor wedding!

Castle Unicorn was the best decision we made as a couple! Perfect, absolutely perfect. From the moment we drove up the driveway for our first tour, to the moment we left as husband and wife, everything was perfect! \rJon took us for a personal tour of the private property. Jon made us feel right at home and even let us walk around alone for a bit before we talked about the pricing. Once we sat down with Jon back in the castle, he began going over everything the castle includes with its service. Once Jon showed us the pricing options, I had to do everything in my power to pretend like I wasn’t sure. We asked more questions and talked about the castle some more and then we were on our way. There was no pressure to book that day at all. \rWe booked a week later. Jon set up a payment plan with us where we sent a check every two months until the wedding. Once we got closer to the wedding, Jon sent us all the info on the remaining decisions and made it super easy to decide. \rThe day of the wedding, I was nervous. I had read some reviews on the castle and they raved about how Jon took care of everything and was always there when you needed him. I was honestly afraid that he would be too in my business and I wouldn’t be able to just enjoy my wedding with my friends and family. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Jon really did take care of everything and was always around if I needed anything, but yet, I felt like he was barely there that day. Anything we needed, he handled. It was like having our own personal wedding planner to run around and make sure everything was going just as planned. Where do I even begin...the Castle Unicorn is not only a beautiful setting for a wedding but John, Ray and their staff are so incredibly helpful! It's been a little over 2 months since we were married and I'm still getting compliments on how beautiful the setting was. They took care of EVERYTHING for me and my husband and our families. I am also a paraplegic and they made sure all accommodations were made! The food is delicious, the new hydraulic walls that are able to enclose the reception area are huge! Kept out the cold breeze and kept in the heat from the heaters they had brought out.\r\rIf you're looking for a fairy tail, day of your life that people will be talking about for weeks...I strong recommend going to Castle Unicorn! You wont regret it! :)\r\r- Extremely Happy Bride! :) \r

This place was amazing! I never wanted an outdoor wedding but decided to take a look at this place anyway. We immediately fell in love with it, and I knew I HAD to have my wedding here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped with decorating and tear down afterwards. It was everything I had hoped for. The food was very, very good. Lots of things to choose from (they even have a tasting a few months before your date, so you can decide) but it was a little pricey with a 20% \"food tax.\" All in all though, I loved it and my guests just gushed about how beautiful the setting was. A++

They had heaters out, and thought about the wind when setting up. They made sure even husbands Grandpa could enjoy the day by keeping him warm inside right up until the ceremony and then using a golf cart to get him to his seat. I only wish there would have been slide down walls for the reception area to block the gusty wind!

It's only a short 30 minute drive from downtown and the visual impact driving up the windy road to the gates is amazing. It will leave a lasting impression for your guests!\r\rThey are also super flexible in creating the event of your dreams. We wanted hors d'ouevres at our cocktail and wanted something not from their typical menu. No problem! Absolutely beautiful! All our guests couldn't believe how breath taking the place was. We had the most perfect weather and day. Also there are no worries the entire time b/c the service is amazing! It can get expensive though which is the only down fall......but you only experience this day once so live it up!!

Besides the breath-taking views, suites fit for a king and queen, and food to die for, Castle Unicorn went over-and-beyond our expectations to accommodate our every need. They helped us with every detail, setup and took down everything at the wedding, and even were there to consult us if we were stressed out. It truly was a destination wedding in Nebraska. Ever since my Princess Barbie walked down the isle to Prince Charming Ken I have wanted the traditional Fairy Tale wedding. When my prince popped the question I Googled venues around Omaha, and I found a real Castle! Castle Unicorn was exactly where I had always imagined my wedding being. The first time I went there, I met with John, who answered all of my questions and concerns, and gave us a price guest-amite based on our number of alleged guests and it turned out to be pretty much exactly spot on to what we ended up paying...no hidden fees!!\r After booking I read reviews and they shook me up.. a lot... there were tons of complaints, especially by former guests with children, but I am going to presume that credited to this day and age, the parents who wrote these reviews were not keeping an eye on their children and were allowing them to run amuck with no discipline what so ever. This is a nice classy formal fairy tale venue, WELL BEHAVED child friendly, it is not Chucky Cheese. We had a hand full of children there, maybe 10-12 and they all danced or sat with their parents the entire time, so we had NO ISSUES!! I would presume that had they been throwing stuff in the ponds, or putting sticky finger prints on artwork, it would have been a different story, and rightfully so!\r My wedding went perfect, period. The staff was so on top of clearing away plates and glasses, and the DJ we hired worked so well with John, Ray and the schedule. John kept coming back to us with updates about the flow of the day, they were aside us, queuing us as we walked down the isle, which as I walked up in the forest ( where we said the vows)to a few family and friends the trees were lightly \"snowing\" leaves and buds, just like a fairy tale, until I met my Prince!!! It was so beautiful!!\r The whole night went exactly as planned, everything I asked for, John or Ray obliged with a huge smile upon their face!!! All that I had to do was be there and enjoy myself. I also had a personal attendee who helped get my personal items I had brought at the end of the night ( clothes, make up, etc.) So I suggest every bride do the same, that way you literally have nothing to worry about! \r I was so impressed with Castle Unicorn and staff, and I have gotten so many compliments from every single guest, the Maid of Honor and I are toying with hosting a Masquerade Benefit there next Halloween season... \r All in all, if you want a unique fairy tale wedding with amazing staff, who treats you like a princess, then might I suggest this place!

Ray, John & Lisa went above and beyond before, during and after the reception. I couldn't be more pleased with how they handled everything that came up - including a tornado within 15 miles of the site! They had to tear everything down because it got soaking wet and start all over again. After problems with almost every vendor that day, this was a refreshing change. I could not recommend them more highly - they are true professionals and so much fun in an absolutely beautiful setting. You could never talk me into believing any other wedding reception topped this one!

Ray and John took care of everything! They helped with the planning and took care of the set up and clean up. It rained the day of my wedding ten minutes before I walked down the aisle--> they quickly moved everything to under the pavilion and made sure all the guests were taken care of.
