Catamount is a ski resort and wedding venue located in Hillsdale, NY, just about two hours outside of New York City. Nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, the grounds feature panoramic views of the Catskills and Taconic mountain ranges. Offering breathtaking scenery all year round, the resort is ideal for couples hoping to incorporate the outdoors into their special days.
Catamount consists of two lodges where you can host your milestone occasion. The renovated Berkshire Lodge features multiple event spaces that can be used for all aspects of your celebration. The space includes wrought iron chandeliers wit white washed tables and sweeping mountain views for you and your guests to admire. Attached to the main room is the Fall Line Tavern, which is stocked with an array of beverages that can be enjoyed throughout your reception. Another option is the Catamount Lodge. This event space showcases floor-to-ceiling views and offers a cozy ambience thanks to its indoor/outdoor fireplace. For a ceremony in the fresh air, you are also welcome to exchange vows at the base of the mountain. After, you and your partner can enjoy a scenic chairlift ride together as newlyweds.
Led by events manager, Victoria, the attentive staff at Catamount delights in supporting couples at each stage of their wedding journey. Whether you’re planning a romantic ceremony, a relaxing brunch, or anything in between, they are happy to accommodate your vision. To simplify the planning process, you are welcome to refer to their handpicked list of local, recommended vendors.

Catamount Reviews
Emily Arrighi(other)5 out of 5 Rating
Every single person I interacted with at Catamount was kind, helpful, and truly cared that we had a great experience with our wedding there. We partly chose them because we didn't want a \"wedding factory\" type of venue. We wanted a personal touch and connection to nature and that is definitely what we got working with Catamount. The new lodge is lovely, their on-site housing is excellent and, most importantly, the people are amazing. From Stephanie, the excellent event coordinator who worked over time when it started to pour rain all over our wedding weekend and did an incredible job pulling off a rain plan that kept our wedding vision intact, to the couple who operate the ski lift and helped us have the best mountain summit photo shoot, absolutely everyone was great. We formed the most amazing memories to carry throughout our marriage. Thank you Catamount team!!! Reviewed on 06-10-2023
Katie Francis(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2022 We had our wedding at Catamount on 10/8/22 and it was a fantastic day. Victoria was great to work with and was able to communicate with some of our vendors that needed some details about the venue. One huge perk of booking either of the lodges is that you are the only event there all weekend (no double booking) and have access to the space to set up Fri 9-5 and clean up Sun 9-11. As we had a ton of DIY decor and no professional set up people, this made it possible to get it done with our wedding party/family. The Catamount lodge is absolutely beautiful and has ample space in the loft upstairs to host and inside ceremony if the weather is poor. The fireplace at night created a great backdrop and there are fire pits outside if your guests need a break from the party.Christine, the beverage manager at Catamount, worked with us to make sure we had everything we wanted for the bar and even sourced a special maple whiskey product for one of our specialty cocktails. She also had one of each of the specialty cocktails on our table for us when we arrived at cocktail hour. We loved having the ceremony near the pond (and they have an arch available to use!). They offered a free ride up the mountain for us and our photographer to get some stunning photos. I'm pretty sure they were shuttling guests over from the parking lot to the ceremony which we hadn't asked for but appreciated! We did use the onsite accommodations including the main house, mountain view rooms, and pond view rooms. There were a few maintenance issues at the pond view rooms and some dead bugs/mouse droppings in one of the rooms in the main house but both issues were attended to promptly when we reached out. The main house (5 bedrooms) was a perfect home base for family/wedding party for the weekend for brunch, getting ready, and hanging out. Reviewed on 18-10-2022
Olivia Cristo(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2022 I got married here 8/27/22 and let me say if I could give them more stars I would. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. catamount staff went above and beyond with every detail small and large. they even found multiple spots for our wedding photo shoots, they drove us to the top of the Mt at sunset and we'll the photos and videos are to die for <3 the bar , the housing, and ceremony site could have not been any better. we had a hot dry summer and they made sure my ceremony site was green (while my yard and everyone else's were super dry and brown). the staff was so easy to communicate with and they did everything to make my day perfect. every one of my guests were blown away with how wonderful and classy everything was. I attended 10 weddings in my engagement and by far this venue hit everything on my list and more. if your thinking about it Call them!! best venue ever Reviewed on 07-10-2022
