This place is a hidden gem!!!!! It’s secluded, romantic, beautiful and the owners are the nicest hardworking couple EVER! You probably will feel just like me when I first walked on the property, I just felt the history and beauty of the place! The food and staff are all amazing too! Did I mention how amazing the pictures are???!!! Don’t second guess this place, just do it! You won’t regret it!

Truly the BEST wedding venue out there!!! I absolutely fell in love with the place right when we toured it! Laura, Patrick and their whole staff were so kind and very accommodating!! The food is AWESOME!! The grounds are beautiful!! They have the most beautiful ceremony room with tons of natural light and sat our 150 guests comfortably!! Cannot say enough good things about this place!! Thank You Laura!! All of y’all really made our day very special!!

I fell in love with this place from the moment I stepped foot through the door. Laura was super helpful and stayed in communication with me periodically from the time I booked the venue and more frequently once the wedding approached. She was absolutely amazing and made everything easy and stress free. I loved that I didn’t have add any extra decorations, and that Laura has many of the small extra things you may need already. Everything is decorated perfectly and is absolutely beautiful the way it is. On the wedding day, Laura and the staff were all super attentive. Her husband, who does the cooking, even made sure to make special plates for my mom since she is allergic to garlic and it was in most of the dishes served. Everyone has been telling me how amazing the food and service was both inside and outside, and that it was once of the best weddings venues they have been to.

This place was a dream! I’m so thankful for Mrs.Laura she helped us every step of the way and answered any question we had! The plantation is so gorgeous and the glass windows made our photos so perfect! Everyone LOVED the food they still won’t stop talking about how incredible everything was. I think of all the wedding planning this place was the easiest decision. Everything was so simple and easy I really couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our wedding. My Daughter was married here last week.The key to this place is the management and staff. My daughter wanted to handle every aspect of the planing and Laura was a great. She can do as much or as little as need to pull off a spectacular event. I have never had better food or service at a wedding and I have attended many. It has been a week since the wedding and I still get compliments on how fantastic the food,venue and service was at the wedding. I would not change a thing!

What a night! Laura and Patrick know how to coordinate an amazing party! Our wedding was everything we could have wanted. Our family and friends continue to talk about the beautiful venue, delicious food, attentive staff, and the amazing food (again). So many of my guest said it was the best wedding food they had ever had and it was not in short supply. Laura is wonderful! She is calm, cool, collected, and so organized. Everything was easy to plan and the venue itself included so much in their packages from a beautiful ceremony space to food and drinks to chairs, music, and centerpieces. Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation is truly a jewel offering so much to a couple that want to have a wedding filled with love, fun, and great food.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to have our wedding. If it was up to us we would repeat this EVERY WEEKEND!! While doing the research through TheKnot.com, I felt very drawn to it energetically just based on the photos and other reviews. Once we landed in New Orleans, we scheduled an appointment to tour it, and we fell in love immediately and decided to not even look at any other venue. Laura is amazing, kind, and very professional. She has all the patience to go over any doubt you might have and is always willing to answer questions and go the extra mile, making sure everything is perfect and taken care of. She has checklists for everything which works great when you have so many things in your head and don't know what you are actually doing. They make planning a wedding as easy as it can be!! We planned ours in 2 months and everything went perfect with the venue! She took all of the stress out of everything.Another thing that drew us to Cedar Grove was the food reviews. Right from the beginning, by checking the food packages they offer, you can see the difference between this venue and the others. (I'm a trained chef and this was a big deal for us). Well, we definitely DON'T regret it. Patrick is an amazing Chef. The food was incredible!! Our guests and family are still talking about it.Laura let us customize everything we wanted, being that we have different traditions in Colombia, and everything was just as I imagined it. Even on the day of the wedding, during the ceremony, and later during the reception, we were tweaking things and asking for additional favors to make sure everyone was comfortable, and she took care of everything without hesitation. You'd be hard pressed to find a better planner, venue, food selection, and host individually let alone all wrapped in one. The number one thing that sets Cedar Grove apart from every other place is, Laura and Patrick. You can honestly tell that they care. They are attentive, thoughtful, and invested in making your wedding the best it can possibly be. We couldn't have asked for anything better, and this is definitely not the last time we will have a event there.

I cannot say enough how amazing Laura and the staff were in making our wedding amazing! From the time we booked until the wedding was over they were very easy to work with and made sure everything was as we wanted. We received so many compliments from guests after the wedding on how great the food and drink service were. There was never a time people were waiting on food or drinks. They definitely made this event so smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend using them.

Wow. We loved Cedar Grove, it was the perfect place for our wedding! We booked with them right before the pandemic started and they were so helpful and flexible. We had to postpone our original date due to covid and finally got married there effectively 2 years later. Laura and her team are wonderful. We had nothing but positive experiences working with them! Patrick makes amazing food. We have guests still raving about the food weeks later! Thank yall so much for making our wedding day special. The venue is stunning and has so much to offer.

I absolutely loved working with Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas! Laura was absolutely amazing and made sure that my day went off without a flaw! The thing that I loved is that she wasn’t just there the day of the wedding-days, weeks, and months she kept in touch with me. Checking to make sure I had items I didn’t think of, checking to see how planning was going, seeing if I needed anything. It was like your own day of personal attendant and wedding planner. She reached out to the vendors the week up and set up everything! (She also went as far as making sure I had everything planned and packed for the honeymoon!!). I can’t say enough kind words about her. She even saved the day on the day of-I hadn’t gotten any of my flowers delivered and had been calling flower place all morning with no answer. I was starting to panic-called the venue to see if maybe my bride Boyer was dropped off there. Laura had said the flowers for my cake and other arrangements but no bouquets. She could have ended the call like that but she said “It’s your day, no worrying, I will call them and figure it out and we will get you flowers!” Long story short-the flowers were found but she called and called and called until she could talk to someone. She didn’t have to do any of that but she truly cares and it just shows! She loves what she does, everyone there does!Now onto the venue…absolutely breathtaking. If you are contemplating having your wedding here or any event-stop now. Do it. It was amazing. I love the floor plan of the venue and everyone was able to spread out for eating and dancing. A lot of people even sat outside as the weather was really nice! And the food….oh my gosh!!! Everyone from my wedding has raves about the food!! They seriously can not stop talking about how good it was!! We had a buffet style meal and several pass around and when I say several-they don’t disappoint! So so soooooo many! And they were so good! As bride and groom-after we took our pictures we were taken into the “red room” which is a room to put your personal items and also have a quick bite to eat before going into reception. We had a huge platter of quick bites to eat and we honestly licked the plate. It was sooo good! The bar was great-no weak drinks and high quality liquor. Great bartenders. We had a band but the DJ played some after and they were great too! I just can not recommend Cedar Grove enough. I don’t think my wedding would have been a success without them and I don’t think I would have been able to relax and have as much fun without them. 1000/10 recommend. Did not have one complaint from me or a guest!

Laura at Cedar Grove is a literal angel on Earth. She is a top notch host who takes professionalism to the next level, and her attention to detail is amazing. Cedar Grove is so romantic, I had so many guests say they felt like they were in a fairy tale! 30 people came up to me and said it was the absolute best food they had ever had (not just best wedding food… best anything food!!) The s'mores bar had the dining area smelling like delicious roasted marshmallows all night! Cedar Grove is amazing and affordable. I guarantee you, this is 10000x better than having your New Orleans wedding in the middle of the city. It is the full package and you would be lucky to party at Cedar Grove!!! I wish I could do it again next weekend! Can’t stress it enough - most fun night ever!!

My husband (then fiancé) and I were scrambling around February/March 2021 to change venues when it was uncertain we'd be able to have the wedding we wanted in New Orleans. In our search for an alternative venue we found Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. In a whirlwind, we toured the venue and I just fell in love. Not to mention, Laura Higgins, the owner and coordinator was extremely communicative and thoughtful throughout the process and she made the transition from one venue to another seamless. Moving forward, she answered all of my questions in a very timely manner and made me feel like a valued client throughout the planning and day-of-coordination. She is organized and knows how to corral a bridal party like no other! My husband and I were impressed with how she kept everything on schedule throughout the planning process and the day of the wedding. Even if you're not the most organized bride, she's got you. In terms of the other staff, they are all pleasant and great at their jobs. Laura's husband, Patrick is the chef and Laura is the baker! The food is amazing, and we had many guests comment on how great the food was during and after. In addition, the bartenders were quick and friendly. There were family and friends that spent most of the night around the bar. It really was a great focal point for those not interested in the dance floor. We hired a band and we found the dance floor to be just right for our number of guests at the wedding (just under 200). In general, the night went off without a hitch and our guests throughly enjoyed themselves. Since the wedding we've gotten many compliments about the event and while COVID derailed our original plans, I'm glad it did. I could not imagine my day anywhere else. I recommend Cedar Grove to anyone looking for a little Southern Charm in the Greater New Orleans area.

We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding! If you want a relaxed wedding, this is the place to book. Everything is included and taken care of by Cedar Grove. We had to reschedule our wedding because of the pandemic, and they were very accommodating. When we finally had our wedding, Laura made sure that both my husband and I had anything and everything we might have needed or wanted the entire time we were there. The staff is very friendly and efficient. And the food! We got so many compliments from our guests about the food. This venue is for anyone who doesn’t want to have to worry about every little detail on their wedding day because Cedar Grove will take care of it for you. Everything from the music to the food to setting up and taking down the decorations was done for us by the venue. They also provided us with toasting glasses and a cake knife for cutting the cake. I’m so glad we were able to have such helpful people work with us on our wedding day. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an all-inclusive venue. They were amazing!

I had my daughters wedding here 3-19-2021 It was totally amazing. The owner and her staff were so very attentive to all our needs. All of the food was delicious so much so that a cousin who is single said he is almost willing to get married to have reception here and to have the fantastic food. If you are looking for a venue for the ceremony and reception this is the place, Or even just a reception. You will be very pleased with everything there

Cedar grove is the best place to have your reception! It’s so spacious, the staff is friendly, and the owners are the absolute best! Laura was so helpful with all the planning and even had a checklist to make sure everything was done. I really liked this venue because it already included everything- even the cake stand. Laura also passed out glow sticks and light up glasses which were a huge hit with the guests! When asking everyone if they had fun, everyone said the food was wonderful! There were no complaints!

The service and food was AMAZING!!!!! This venue was the perfect setting for my son's wedding! Every person associated with Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation went out of their way to make sure the Bride and Groom, as well as each and every guest had a fantastic experience. Wow, just wow. I can not begin to describe how incredible this venue is. Cedar Grove was not my original wedding venue, but with COVID making Orleans Parish go into phase 1 I had to change my location. WITH 10 DAYS NOTICE! I called multiple places, and Laura at Cedar Grove answered all of my prayers. She allowed me to come to the venue within 25 minute of calling at 10am. Once I arrived I was sold! Laura made sure that everything I wanted was taken care of! The communication was fantastic! Within the hour of me leaving, and signing my contract Laura had already called all my venders from the previous venue. She talked to everyone directly to take a world of stress off of my shoulders. With the last minute changes, I had already chosen a cake vender that the venue didn't normally use. She credited me for part of the cake, and called them directly for me! The entire place is magical. My wedding was this past weekend, and I can't say enough about how perfect it was. I've gotten so many calls about how intimate and fun the location was. The staff was so friendly! and the FOOD! Oh my gosh the food.... My parents, in-laws, and guest could not rave enough! Everything came out hot, and delicious. My personal favorite were the hot beignets at the end of the night with coffee! It is crazy that this place turned out the be my perfect venue, even with not knowing about it until days before. I don't think any other place could have made my day as special as it was. Please considering going to check it out, you won't be disappointed!

I can't say enough about Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation and the owners, Laura and Patrick. Moving a wedding reception two months prior to the wedding date because of Covid-19 restrictions and all the uncertainties with Orleans Parish was unfathomable. Luckily Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation was available. Laura and Patrick took care of every detail including coordination with vendors. My daughter's reception was so special, elegant and memorable. All of my daughter's special requests were integrated into the reception venue. The outside courtyard with fireplace was also available to guests. The food, all done in-house, was delicious plentiful and kept coming all through the four-hour reception. No one left hungry. The staff was amazing, constantly checking on the bride, groom and parents if they wanted anything including having on hand preferred drinks and ingredients. Many of the guests commented on how courteous and helpful the staff was going above and beyond, including serving guests who chose the outside courtyard area.I would absolutely recommend using Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. You won't be disappointed. Laura and Patrick were great to work with. They helped with planning and executing a special and stress free event.

10 out of 10! A+! Don't look anywhere else for your event. Laura and her team were outstanding and made our wedding and days leading up to it seamless and unforgettable. My husband and I had to deal with a lot in the months leading up to our wedding... Covid, postponing our wedding, moving our reception last minute and then Hurricane Zeta. Long story short, we booked Cedar Grove 1.5 months before our wedding date. Moving to CGTP was probably the best decision we made. Honestly, we should have booked them all along. Laura answered all my of emails and phone calls immediately. If she didn't have an answer, she got back to right away. Her and Patrick took care of everything and made an extremely stressful day before our wedding seamless. My husband and I are truly grateful for everything they did for us. Food was outstanding! People are still talking about it! Due to Covid restrictions, all our food was passed, which was a hit for our guests. They loved all the variety and constant flow of food passed throughout the night. Huge shout out to Athena, Danielle and Dan for taking excellent care of us and our parents during the reception. Book Cedar Grove. You'll be glad you did.

CGTP was an amazing place to have our wedding. Beautiful outside area and elegant and classic inside area. Not to mention the bar is huge!We loved it when we first saw it, and decided on the venue on the spot. Laura and her staff was the best organizer and co to work with. She gets the job done easily and stress-free! She gave us a tour (after we called last minute) of the place on the same day as two weddings and you can tell right then and there she loves this location. She gave us a checklist and recommendations of all the essentials. During the wedding she made sure the bride, immediate family, and I were comfortable with food and drinks and that we were on schedule. (By the way, food was loved by all). She even took care of a mishap that I have made when I order our escape vehicle too early. Would recommend Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation to anyone! We even revisit the location to remanence it!

Cedar Grove is the BEST place you could get married at. Laura (the person in charge) is a SUPERWOMAN and takes care of everything. She ensures that you have everything needed to make your day as perfect as you expect it to be. The food was amazing and I am still hearing how great it was weeks after. Laura makes sure everything goes perfectly, and is a quick thinker/fixer if something isn't perfect (our unity candle was too BIG for the unity candle holder that we purchased, which we found out at our rehearsal TWO DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING, but Laura came to the rescue and assured my husband and I that she would melt the wax to fit it in the holder, which she did and it all looked amazing). I can't fit in this review how much this venue is worth absolutely every penny it costs (which is comparable to all wedding venues in New Orleans, but Cedar Grove is nicer and has better food). As a young bride, I had many many questions throughout the entire planning process and Laura was there at mostly any time to answer ALL of my questions, no matter how ridiculous or ignorant they were (I ask a lot of dumb questions). Last but not least, even after everything Laura did for us before and during our wedding, Cedar Grove gifted us a BEAUTIFUL large ice bucket with our new family name. I cannot say enough great things about Cedar Grove, and about Laura and Pat. I immediately fell in love with this plantation the moment I stepped foot onto the property for a tour. It was my first stop on the venue viewing list, and every stop after I only found myself comparing venues to Cedar Grove. My husband and I quickly agreed this was a hands down - an easy yes! Every step of planning and organizing was made so easily with Laura's help. She was always so quick to respond and let us stop by as often as we felt the need to for planning and envisioning purposes. Wedding day was a dream - the plantation looked so beautiful and the staff was great! Guests complimented our wedding for weeks and raved about the food. They could not stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was. I'm so happy we went with Cedar Grove, and I'm so thankful to Laura and Pat for going above and beyond to make our day so special!

From start to finish, working with Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantaion was an absolute pleasure. Laura was there to help me plan along the way and was a treasure trove of insight, helping us make difficult choices that made our day extra special. We had a 250+ person wedding, with a huge wedding party and three sets of parents - a bit overwhelming to say the least! But Laura and the CGTP team handled it with ease, making sure I knew things were taken care of and coordinating the day so things went smoothly. And the food! Patrick and the team in the kitchen blew everyone away from pass around items, to the buffet. Laura and Patrick are wonderfully warm and caring people who truly want to make each couples day extraordinary- and they succeed!

If I could give this venue 10 stars, I totally would! My wedding day was STRESS FREE and everything with the ceremony and reception went so smoothly! Laura was so easy to work with and was very accommodating of all of our requests. My husband and I, along with all of our wedding guests, cannot stop talking about our big day! The food was amazing, the bar service was amazing, and my husband and I were waited on all night long! My daughter just had her ceremony and reception there and I must say that everything was excellent. Laura and her staff treated us like royalty. They took care of everything. Made sure the bride and groom and the parents had drink and food at all times if needed. The food was amazing. Everything came out piping hot so you knew it was fresh and it tasted wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about Cedar Grove! Jill was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. My grandparents weren’t able to make it to the wedding due to illness and Jill was able to set aside a staff member to help live stream the ceremony for us so that they could watch it in real time from the hospital. We got so many compliments on the set up, food quality, and overall atmosphere of the venue. Jill helped coordinate everything so perfectly and it all went very smoothly. I would recommend this venue to everyone!

Our first daughter had her ceremony and reception at Cedar Grove in 2016. Our second daughter after looking at different venues, has decided on Cedar Grove for her reception in June 2018. We all agree there is no other venue that provides the atmosphere, the attention to detail, food, service and amazing staff. We are excited to be returning to Cedar Grove and so are our guests. Jill is so amazing, easy and creative to work with. Our second daughters reception will be all her own and different than her sister. There is no other venue like Cedar Grove so if exceptional is what you are looking for, look no further. Cedar Grove is like returning home and where life time memories are made.

Wow, how do I start to review such an absolutely amazing place! I'm very lucky to have found out about Cedar Grove through a Bridal expo and it was literally the best decision we made during our wedding (other than saying \"I do\"). Jill is absolutely amazing!! I cannot say enough good things about her and her venue. We only met with her maybe 3 for 4 times before the wedding but she is a top notch expert in weddings and she knew exactly how we wanted everything and took charge in just those few meetings. She worked with us to set up late times to meet since my husband and I work late during the week. Its the only venue we went to see and I'm glad we didn't waste any time going to look at others. The price you pay for the service you get is outstanding! Jill let me take my bridal pictures onsite and they have the most beautiful grounds to get stunning pictures. The week before the wedding I dropped off a pile of pictures and favors and items for the wedding and honestly felt doubtful that it would be set up how I wanted it to be the day of. I got to the venue on the wedding day and everything was PERFECT and that's saying a lot because I am OCD and consider myself a perfectionist. I never had to worry about ANYTHING the day of my wedding! Jill had everything under control. She kept us all on schedule, we had our personal attendance that constantly refilled out drinks and gave us food (our parents had the same thing too), and at the end of the party they had already packed my parents car and our limo with food and cake and champagne. Speaking of the food....OUTSTANDING! Everyone raved about how good it was and how much food there was. Jill even let me and my husband sit down in the \"red room\" for 10 minutes while we stuffed our faces and took in the moment of just saying \"I do\". We also used the in house DJ and everyone was on the floor dancing and having a good time. Everything was executed exactly as we had pre-determined in our meetings, and everything was on point, on schedule, and perfect. I didn't think there was such a thing as a wedding that had NOTHING go wrong but with Jill and Cedar Grove you can expect a perfect a relaxing wedding (who knew that was even possible). Seriously though...don't look anywhere else.

Cedar Grove:There is just something about this place that will have you hooked forever! I was in a wedding in 2009 and the reception was at Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Planation and ever since then I knew I wanted to have my wedding there. I could not say enough wonderful things about this plantation. It truly is a beautiful place to get married. The owner, Jill Mercer is the sweetest lady ever! Everything she does is wonderful and graceful! She mad my wedding day amazing. She made me feel like family from the moment I walked into the door. I'm so grateful that I picked this venue as my wedding venue because it truly is perfect, from the food, to the decor, to the royalty you feel when you walk out of the door. BEST DAY EVER is all that our guests keep saying. We planned our wedding from Virginia and Jill made the whole process so easy. We looked at 6 venues in 2 days and once we walked into CGT, we knew right away that this was the perfect fit. The grounds are beautifully updated and maintained. The rustic/chic atmosphere inside the house and chapel were exactly the vibe we were going for. There areso many different spots around the venue to take beautiful photos. The food was absolutely incredible and all of the staff were professional and attentive. We cannot say enough great things about Jill and this venue. If you are looking for a top notch venue and a planner that absolutely knows her stuff, you can stop looking. Cedar Grove was the best decision we made.

Where do I begin .. I remember first making appointment with Mrs. Jill in November 2015 to view the venue , which was an AWSOME experience. I wanted something different , something that the Metairie and Kenner area didn't offer and something people would not know about something that was a \"Best Kept Secret.\" This was the place. They saying is never judge a book by its cover,because you never will know what's in the inside . The care and attention I receive up until the day of the weddings and during the wedding . We had so many different life obstacles that came about , but Mrs. Jill and her staff were recommending to our needs . I mean Kerry and I had drinks waiting for us food at the table at every second . The guest told me they have NEVER been to a wedding where they got full off the food . The young ladies and men who greeted each of our guest as they walked in and the music ,cake, and bar was just another added hit . Every guest asked me where did you find this place , I have never been here . This is exactly what I wanted people to see the beauty of the place and the staff. I could never begin to even express how happy I am with Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. It was the most unforgettable experience and definitely the best day of my life. Everything was so well planned out, and ran so smoothly. Everything was decorated beautifully. It was everything I could have ever wanted and imagined, and then some. First of all the venue itself is beautiful and so magical. Jill went above and beyond for some things we wanted, and made it happen with ease. The food was amazing, and everyone still tells me about how great it was. Everyone also told me how great and helpful all the employees at Cedar Grove were. I could write a book on how AMAZING this venue is and how AMAZING my wedding was. My husband and I are from Florida so we had no idea where to start when looking for vendors in New Orleans. I found Cedar Grove on theKnot.com and it was the second venue I visited, as soon as I walked inside I knew it was meant to be. Jill provides EVERYTHING you need for your wedding in one package and I promise that for the quality of everything she provides it is a steal for the bride! I was able to communicate with her while deployed to Afghanistan and when I came back a month before my wedding I was so nervous that I didn't put enough thought into everything, or that I should add more to the venue, but Jill calmed my fears and responded to every email and phone call leading up to the big day.I decided last minute I wanted additional flowers from what she provided on the tables but looking back I could have used that money an extra hour of party time because the venue is immaculate all on its own! At our final meeting I was able to walk thru the venue and go over the layout, the flow of the wedding, and go over specific things that I planned to bring to add our touch. I realized Jill had upgraded a TON of things at the venue and it made me even more excited for my family and friends to see this special place. 7 days before the wedding I decided I was going to sacrifice one of my guests and have them pick up 100 beignets from Cafe Du Monde and King Cake from Haydel's Bakery so that my guests could enjoy those classic New Orleans treats. In order to prevent my guest from missing the ceremony Jill offered to bake the beignets at the venue and serve them for me, and suggested I have the King Cake dropped off with my wedding cake and her staff would cut them up. My guests are still complimenting me on how unique and beautiful the venue was, how amazing and how plentiful the food and liquor were, and how we literally partied the entire time. The have convinced me that I had the #bestweddingever.. Im pretty sure that ended up being our wedding hashtag by the end of the night. Out of all of the decisions I had to make in order for my wedding to be possible I would say that choosing Cedar Grove Plantation was the best decision. Thank You Thank You Thank You Jill!

When you first walk into Cedar Grove, you are instantly hooked to the atmosphere it creates. I realized I wanted to have my wedding here when I went to a wedding 8 years ago. It was much smaller at the time, but the service and food was out of this world good. They've done a fabulous job constructing new spaces as well. I just loved the feeling I got there. Now 8 years later, I had my wedding, and it fulfilled everything I had hoped for. It was much more elegant than it was back then, but all the better. All of my guests seemed to enjoy themselves very much so. There was tons of dancing, so whoever the Dj was, they put on a great playlist. I never felt overwhelmed at all, and the reception ran very smoothly. This venue made all my dreams come true. Call while they still have your date!

Everything and anything about cgt was unbelievable. Lots of memories from our special night. The best thing about this place is the food. The food was awesome. I'm very basic, and I'm not hard to please, but all of the food still blew all of my expectations. Shout out to the gator sausage. Usually wedding food is not the best, but words cant explain how good it was. The servers were attentive, especially to my dad (thanks Rachel). This experience was hands down one of the best nights of my life, not just because it was my wedding, but that this venue was amazing. Thank you to all who made our wedding night great.

Exceeded all of my expectations. All of my friends and family told me it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. I couldn't agree more. Not being from this area, I looked at many different places and venues, but none of them were anything close to being right for me. I found this place on the internet and couldn't decide if I wanted to see it or not. I decided to give a chance. The front of the building looks very small, but as soon as you walk in, it is huge! I was shocked. The pictures online do not do this place justice. After talking to Ms. Jill, I knew I had to have my wedding here. The venue had a very soft, loving atmosphere, along with beautiful setup. On the night of the wedding, everything was amazing. Nothing will ever be a better experience for me.

Cgt created fantastic memories for our entire group. It was such a fun time! WE WERE A DANCING GROUP, so you know I was on the dance floor the entire time, drinking the night away. This place had exactly what I wanted and of course we added some things to it to make it our own (pictures, flowers, etc). This venue gave us everything we wanted and more. I loved that it was so easy after we booked here. I've been a bridesmaid multiple times and I've seen so many of my friends stress about how hard their day was going to be but not at CGT. That's what I loved. A great overall experience, would not go anywhere else.

On August 26th, 2016, Cedar grove Tchoupitoulas Planation set the bar with my reception. I invited 300 guests and each and every one of them came to my reception. I was a little worried about how we were going to be in terms of space but it was quite comfy actually. After my wedding, they redid the entire chapel with tons of tables and chairs so everyone had a seat. I always like to treat my guests well whether in my home or at place like this. We received a going away box with all kinds of food, and when we got to the hotel, I was sure glad we got it! We were so busy talking to our friends, we couldn't eat! haha. Best night of my life. 5 Stars all the way.

Our guest list was huge! We invited around 400 people, and 300 showed up. I liked how it never felt like people were on top of other people. I've been to too many weddings where that had happened and I DID NOT want that to happen at my wedding, so I chose the right place. Where do I began? I had my wedding here back in 2014, but just recently went back for one of my friends. When I had my wedding here it was a good time and fun, but when I just went back, it was a blast! I mean we had so much fun! The atmosphere, the music, the food! Don't get me started on the food. I'm so tired of going to places and they feed me like I'm a bird. Cedar Grove fed me like I was a royal princess and I was just a guest! They seem to always be upgrading everything they do too,because back in 2014 I wish I had some of the things that they have now (Gazebo/lights). I'm also glad that I could really experience being a guest finally 2 years after my wedding. I love this place.

This process started when my fiance and best friend asked me to marry him. And so then the planning finally began. We looked at a few places, but were sold with CGT. It was just what we were looking for. Kind of a rustic look. A good feel to it. We went to many places, but this venue just felt right to me. The night of the wedding went amazingly well. All of my guests had smiles and smiles and smiles galore. And there was so much food! We did private dining and were amazed at how good the food was. We were Kind of disappointed when we couldn't do a tasting but believe me, the food was incredible! Shrimp and grits, catfish, seafood pasta, gumbo, yum. If you're at least interested in this place, check it out,It was beautiful, and was a night made for Jimmy and I. Thank you Jill.

I'll start by saying my wedding was everything that I imagined it would be! When I first started to look for reception spaces around the area, I was amazed of how little everywhere had to offer. We had our wedding and reception at Cedar Grove, and were so glad we did. By having the wedding take place there, It relieved the stress of coming all the way from a church, and with older members in my family, I was relieved that I didn't have to worry about that. I was a little unsure about the amount of space at first, but Ms. Jill assured me everyone would have a seat. (i'm a stressor, I know). The only reason I was worrying was because I invited around 250 people, and wanted to be sure everyone had a seat, and they sure did, and comfortably at that. We did private dining, the food was yummy. I loved the duck quesadilla. I don't drink,( except for diet coke), but everyone I talked to said the bar was wonderful. Jill is so sweet and knows how to run a wedding. It's a great venue for both the Ceremony and reception. The staff is tentative and fun to work with. I heard nothing but great things about the food and how it never stopped all night. My only dislike was I would've liked to have taken bridal party or family photos in the ceremony room instead of in the front room.

The moment I saw Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas, I was so impress with the beauty of the place. We were welcome with open arms by Ms. Jill and her staff. The chapel was lovely, the food was to die for and, there was a lot of it. Jill, walked us through all detail of the planning of the ceremony and the reception. My daughter and my son-in-law was very happy with everything. All of my friends were so impress, they are thinking about renewing there vows at Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. So thank you Ms.Jill , for wedding we will always remember.

My son was married at CGT Plantation this summer. The experience we had at CGT was like no other, the personal service of the Mercer family and their staff was exceptional. Our event from planning to the \"I do's\" was handled with personal care, as if Jill was planning the wedding for her own child. She gives 110% to everything she does. I will recommend CGT for many years to come.

Awesome wedding venue! My daughter celebrated her wedding at CGT Plantation on October 10th. It was absolutely wonderful. Jill and her staff \rtake care of everything down to the very smallest detail. My husband and I had our own attendant all night. It was wonderful and allowed us to visit with our guests. I highly recommend this very beautiful place with wonderful owners and staff to everyone. I will definitely use this venue again for other special occasions

We had our wedding at CGT Plantation last Saturday and everything was perfect. This is a wonderful place for both the ceremony and the reception. One of my favorite things about CGT is that everything is included - food, cake, decorations, bar, and DJ. Everything they provided was beautiful. We received so many compliments on the decorations, the food and the venue. The staff was wonderful and made sure that our day was stress free. There was always someone to tell you where to go (if needed) and to provide us with food and drink. Everything ran seamlessly thanks to the extraordinary staff, especially Jill and Mo. They did an exceptional job with everything and everyone enjoyed the ceremony and reception tremendously!

Jill and her staff are amazing! We went to a wedding there before booking our own and had such a great time. The place is beautiful and they are always improving it. The food is amazing! The reception felt like it lasted 30 minutes because it was such a good time. Jill made sure everything was on point the entire time. She was such a pleasure to work with, she made everything stress-free for me. If I could do it all over again, I would book here again and refer them to everyone!

Our October wedding at CGTP was incredible! I have been working in the wedding venue business for several years and we were completely blown away by the service and atmosphere that Cedar Grove offers! The venue itself is PERFECT! The tables, chairs, centerpieces, and décor are already setup and flows beautifully together, I did not have to add a thing, not even flowers! I highly recommend using their chapel as well. It is also perfectly decorated and the pictures look amazing! The food and food service was out-of-this-world and kept on coming until all our guests could not possibly eat anymore. Our family and friends were dancing the entire night with their awesome in-house DJ and their bar was fully stocked with only the premium stuff, so I know the bartenders worked overtime for our guests and they did it with ease! Our friends that had recently gotten married at other local venues had asked how we found this place because it didn’t even compare to the places that they had chosen. Jill and Mohammad were there the entire time and coordinated the whole wedding from the beginning to the end. There was no guessing what to do next because they already had everything planned for us. I felt like I could really relax and enjoy myself because the staff had it all under control, and boy did we PARTY! We had such a wonderful time that it’s hard to express it in so many words but our wedding was perfect in every way and there is absolutely nothing I would change. The night was filled with love, laughter, impeccable food, and outstanding service! Thank you everyone at CGTP for making our wedding the most memorable night of our lives and we definitely agree when you say “there’s something about this place”!!!

My wedding was on 9/27/14 and everyone had the best time! My husband and I have nothing bad to say other then we wish it was longer! Jill and her staff go above and beyond for everything and I cannot say thank you enough! All of our guest had the best time and I do not think I heard one complaint. For me, being the Bride, it was nice to find a venue that came everything! From the chaviri chairs, to the tables already decorated, not having to pay extra for bottle beer and premium liquors, I was able to just drop off the little touches I wanted done and just show up. When I walked out of the brides room for the ceremony I was blown away on how beautiful everything looked. I wish I could do it all over again. If you are a bride looking for a southern, not stressful venue please check out Cedar Grove, out of all the places I looked at, I fell in love with this one and it was defiantly the best choice I have made. My parents and in-laws all loved the way it came out. I really only have nice things to say! So thank you again to Jill and her amazing staff!!

It was so nice to just sit back and know that all of the details would be taken care of - - from the venue and food to the DJ, linens and cake stand. Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation is by far the best venue anyone could have their wedding or event at! Mrs. Jill was so helpful and sweet. She took so much of the wedding stress and planning off of my shoulders by having everything all in one package: cake, ceremony, reception, food, DJ. The venue is absolutely beautiful and their service was beyond amazing! We still remember Mahummad who served everyone by himself at our wedding (let's just say when we were out of something to drink,he remembered what we liked, and had new one instantly for us). The food was so delicious! I wish they would become a restaurant just so when I visit New Orleans I could go and eat their amazing food again. Mrs. Jill and her staff made our day so amazing and memorable. We are hoping one of our friends get married there just so we can experience the venue again.

June 28, 2014 will be a day we will never forget! Jill and CGT family are people we will hold dear to our hearts. Jill, you are professional, a wish giver, and just amazing. You made our day exceedingly above all we could have ever asked for. When you surprised us with the second line band and fireworks, you heard from God because those were our secret petitions and request from Him. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to book a wedding. Just had our wedding there in May, and everything was perfect. Jill is amazing and makes everything move so smoothly. The service and food were great. The DJ was awesome and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Moe constantly made sure not only to take care of my groom and I, but even our families, all throughout the night. I cannot thank him enough for everything he did. Everything was amazing, and I'm so happy we chose CGT!!

I held my vow renewal ceremony at Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation during the day on 7/19/14. We decided to do a full wedding ceremony followed by a brunch. This was truly one of the best days of my life. Everything went so smooth and Jill went above and beyond to ensure everything went off without a hitch. We had 75 guest in attendance and they couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how good the food tasted. The food gets 10 stars, it was delicious and plentiful. If you choose this venue, you and your guest will have an awesome time and you won't have to worry about a thing because Jill will make sure that everything will be taken care of.

I chose this venue due to other events I attended there. It is not just a location, it is an experience. The owners and staff went above and beyond to make every event I have ever attended there memorable. I recommend them to everyone. You have it all and so many choices for pictures, location of actual ceremony on the beautiful grounds. It is always quality and worth the price, which is reasonable for the memories captured.

There is definitely something about this place!!\rOur Wedding was in November of 2012 and the main reason I am here\rIs because of all the disappointing weddings I have attended in the past few months.\rBetter late than never!!\rI fell in love with Jill first over the phone!! And the plantation second!\rFrom the moment we stepped out of my car and then on to the porch we felt like we had been transported back in time!\rIt’s hard to imagine just 15 minutes out of Metairie you can feel like this! It took My husband and I a total of 5 minutes to look at each other and say this is it!!\rWe cannot recommend Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation enough! \rThe night of our wedding my husband and I received the best service. And the food OMG the food was unbelievable\rAnd it just kept coming! My guest were shocked and months later still asking if they could purchase the gumbo! \rOur ceremony was elegant and we were super excited that the train blew its whistle \rTwice ..the old wives tale is when the whistle blows your deceased family is with you which made it even more special if that’s even possible! Thanks to sweet Jill for allowing us to have our angel face cotie (our dog) apart of our ceremony it meant the world to us since she passed away shortly after. \rAgain I cannot express enough how amazing Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation is and the lasting friendship I have formed with Jill!!\rIf you are looking for a venue that truly cares about you and will leave an ever lasting impression on you the bride, the groom and your guest!!! We started planning our wedding in 2012. In the back of my head I knew I wanted my reception at CGT Plantation but viewed other places to appease my mom. We saved CGT for last because I knew I would fall in love with the place. CGT offered everything I was looking for: food, open bar, cake, dj, and beautiful southern charm. We ended up booking our wedding for November 2013. By January 2013 we ran into some medical issues with my fiance and played around with the idea of pushing our date back. After speaking with Mrs. Jill, she helped make that possible. Since then, she made the planning process so easy. Any time I had a question she was very quick with a response. When it came time for the wedding itself, she made sure my day was fabulous. Everything ran smoothly and on time. The food was delicious (shrimp and grits were my fave), the decor was beautiful, and the service was BEYOND my expectations. Muhammed was assigned to be our personal server and he was on top of his game. He had our drinks refilled before we were ever half empty on the last one. I would recommend this place to everyone. I hope that I can attend another wedding there in the future to be able to just sit back and watch.

From the start, the folks (especially Jill & Mohamed) at Cedar Grove were very friendly and helpful. Jill is the owner and she really knows the business and is very organized. The place is gorgeous, and they are constantly doing upgrades to make it even nicer. Jill and her staff took tons of pressure off me the day I got married by having everything calmly under control, and knew where everyone was supposed to be/stand/go. They made everything so pleasant by leading us through all the different activities throughout the night. They got us through pre-ceremony pictures and instructions without a flaw. And they constantly asked me and my husband if we needed anything. The food there is great. They really took into account the fact that my husband is allergic to seafood, yet still made seafood dishes for the non-allergic guests. Everyone has said great things about the wedding. I really wanted a great time for me and my husband but I am really happy everyone seemed to really enjoy it.\rI would definitely recommend them!!!\r\rChristine Schwartz Taylor

After attending a wedding here in 2010, I had pretty much known that CGT would be the only place for me. I just had to convince my fiance'. When we arrived for our first meeting, we were both hooked. Between the outside (now enclosed but still beautiful) pavilion for the ceremony, the beautiful decor, the variety of food choices, and the price, we were both hooked. We went back a couple of weeks later and put down the deposit.\r\rAny time I had a question, Jill was quick to respond. She was great about setting up meetings and giving great advice. The lead up to the wedding couldn't have been better.\r\rOnce the wedding day was finally here, everything went smoothly. Mohammad kept a drink in my hand at all times, made sure my husband and I didn't need anything, and made sure our parents were fully stocked with drinks and food. At the end of the night, Mohammad and the rest of the staff packed up food, cake, and presents in my family's cars so that when we were ready to leave we could. We didn't have to wait for anything. My wedding day was perfect and I know it was in part to Jill, Mohammad, and the staff at CGT!
