My daughter's wedding reception was held at Cedar Hall on 8/5/23. Just over a month prior to the wedding a huge storm hit the venue. It knocked down trees, tore up the fence and did damage to the building. It was truly awful. The staff assured us that everything would be beautiful for the wedding but it was really hard to see how that could be possible. Being so close to the wedding date we had no choice but to trust that they would come through. Let me tell you, they certainly did!! The staff worked tirelessly to make the venue perfect.There was nothing that they did not touch. It was more beautiful than we could have imagined! When the wedding day arrived it was like a fairy tale. The staff was so attentive and made sure that even the smallest details were perfect. They handled everything! We did not have to worry about anything and were able to completely relax and enjoy the day. Every need was taken care of with a smile. Carol, Katelyn, Lacey and everyone at Cedar Hall that helped to make my daughter's day amazing, THANK YOU!

So beautiful and amazing! The venue is so beautiful you hardly have to decorate anything! They do in house catering (not included in initial pricing) and coordinating (is included). I pretty much planned the entire wedding by myself but Carol and Katelyn were in touch with me the entire time to see if I needed anything. I’m pretty controlling so it was hard for me on the day of to let got and have other people control things but everything went off without a hitch. It was beautiful. The only problem I had was that I was told by the owner on the day that we went for our tour that decor was included and it’s not. Probably my fault for not reading into it more but that’s what I was told to my face. Other than that everything was perfect

Cedar Hall isn’t just a beautiful space. It is truly and all in one venue. They provide tables, chairs, linens, silverware, plates, cups, food, bartenders, a coordinator, etc.. EVERYTHING. My wedding went so perfectly and at least half of the thanks goes to Cedar Hall.

Cedar Hall made planning a wedding easier. We toured three other well-known wedding venues in Memphis, but all required a vision. Plus, you had to hire caterers, rent linens and tables and chairs, and hire a planner/coordinator. All of that is provided with your Cedar Hall experience. And, you can still find plenty of ways to make it \"your own\". My guests have raved about the food. I even had a girlfriend say ours was the \"best wedding she's ever been to\". Thank you to everyone at Cedar Hall!

The venue space is beautiful, I did experience a few minor hiccups but nothing that ruined my day. Also the marketing representative emailed me to send her pictures of our beautiful day. I was hoping that our pictures were chosen to be featured on your Instagram or Facebook but I still haven't seen any. I felt like we were the first black couple that booked this venue because there are not representation on your website that states otherwise. My only advice is to market to all instead a certain demographic of people.

Everyone at Cedar Hall was amazing. They did a wonderful job with the setting up the outside and inside. Even though mine and my husband had some hiccups with something’s it still was beautiful. All of our guest and family still talk about how beautiful everything was. So again the team at Cedar Hall did an amazing job for our amazing day.

I definitely recommend getting married at Cedar Hall! As an out of town bride, it was so nice having everything (ceremony, reception, catering, day-of-coordinator, etc.) in one place! The staff made the planning process so easy and were very attentive to all of my questions! They were also so accommodating when we moved our wedding a year later due to COVID. They made the day-of as stress free as possible, made sure we had dinner, and Carol even packed our getaway car with our luggage and pieces of cake! Couldn't have had a better wedding day!

Since the moment I stepped into Cedar Hall for a first visit, I was sure that was the best place to have my wedding. Apart from being a gorgeous venue, the all inclusive package makes your planning process very easy and the staff was super helpful throughout the whole process. Carol Johnson was the best day of coordinator we could have ever had. She gave me a stress-free day by making sure everything was flawless, well organized and in time. Our wedding day was perfect! I highly recommend Cedar Hall to any bride!

Cedar Hall was the perfect venue for my wedding. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Both the outdoor ceremony and the reception in the Stables were absolutely gorgeous. The catering was amazing. We had so many guests comment that this was the most beautiful wedding and venue that they had ever seen. I’d highly recommend the bride and mother or bridesmaids stay in the House the night before the wedding because that was a very cool bed and breakfast experience and super fun to wake up at the venue with all of the excitement happening!! I’d recommend Cedar Hall to anyone wanting a beautiful wedding with a super helpful staff and wedding coordinator!!!

I absolutely loved having my wedding here! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating! All of the staff and coordinators are so helpful and understanding. We only had a 5 month long engagement and Cedar Hall made everything so smooth and easy! The have pretty much everything you could need such as food and flowers. Plus, the grounds are gorgeous all year round! Perfect place for an outdoor wedding--I highly recommend!

I can't imagine having any my wedding at any other place! Like others are saying, Cedar Hall makes the wedding planning process as stress-free as possible. Of course, it is a little more expensive than other venues in the area, however I feel that not having to worry about food vendors/flowers/decor/etc is definitely worth it. Cedar Hall takes care of all the coordination, all you have to do is show up and have a blast! I didn't have to worry about a thing while I was getting ready or taking pictures. We had the pleasure of having Carol Johnson as our provided day-of coordinator, and she was a huge help. She made sure everything ran on time and that things/people were where they needed to be. You're treated like royalty here and I felt zero stress the day-of; it's so nice to know that you'll be taken care of no matter what. I personally did not experience any lack of communication--any questions that me or my wedding party helpers had were answered swiftly and thoroughly. Most other vendors around the area also had experience coordinating with Cedar Hall so that alleviated stress there and I didn't find myself being a middle man between anyone. If you're looking to have the perfect day and to have and plan it to be stress-free and get as much help as you can, Cedar Hall is definitely the place to be. I can't recommend them enough!

If you're reading this, you're shopping wedding venues- congrats! By now, you probably already know that Cedar Hall is gorgeous & has a great reputation which is true and well deserved. However, I want to take this moment to share with you a few things that I wish I'd known prior to selecting Cedar Hall as my wedding venue:1) Communication was frustrating & disappointing. I waited days for email responses and felt completely forgotten about at multiple times during the lead up to my wedding day. I've since learned that the way they have their inbox system set up may be inefficient, but it does not excuse the way it made me, as a client and bride, feel. The staff was also out of office several times during the week without an autoresponder; letting me know a response would be delayed would have made me feel much better served. I felt that the team was not staffed appropriately to handle the volume of business they have or that my business was unimportant. I spoke to Noel on a couple of occasions about this, & she was warm & understanding, but ineffective at changing the tide with her team. Unfortunately, this perception was never truly corrected, though our Day Of experience was flawless (more on that in a moment).2) Plan to spend more than you think. Weddings are just expensive, but was still floored by the estimates given on the floral portion of my Cedar Hall experience. When John Mark first contacted me, he sent a new info sheet & one section was on expected budget. After we met (and I had to follow up over a week later to receive my estimate), it was over $3k more than my budget, with no explanation or handholding. If I had a magic wand, I'd have wanted John Mark to tell me during our meeting that my vision was bigger than my budget, but to just receive an email with a \"here ya go!\" with an enormous invoice was a shock. Don't get me wrong- John Mark is incredibly talented & deserves to be compensated for his time/effort and I was truly in awe of the beauty he created for my wedding day, but I wish I had been handled differently and been able to feel that my budget was respected or considered.I was originally pleased with the idea that I would not need to shop around for florals, catering, & alcohol as it is all included in the package, but in hindsight, I wish I'd been able to shop market norms for these items to ensure I was receiving a fair deal.3) If you plan to have a first look before your ceremony (which I see 99% of brides doing now) you will not have time to enjoy the bridal suite with the regular package of 7 hours at $7,000 if you plan to also have a normal reception length. An extra hour is $500 & is needed to make a reality all the photos you see of you and your bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite.Cedar Hall, and specifically, Carol Johnson made the day of our wedding flawless. I could not have dreamed of a better bouquet, a better coordinator, or a more beautiful setting in which to begin our marriage. It was indeed a fairytale as others have said.In conclusion, Cedar Hall delivered, but with a frustrating process. I do hope that the team at Cedar Hall reads this and takes to heart that communication desperately needs to be improved upon, whether by a different email system or auto responders when they are OOO. Brides and their families are spending a great deal of money to feel taken care of and inconsistent communication and a lack of realistic expectations fail to meet the mark.

We highly recommend Cedar Hall for couples looking for a smooth, easy-to-plan wedding! Trey and I got engaged in March 2019 and married in October 2019. With less than 7 months to plan our wedding, it would not have been possible without Cedar Hall and all the staff that work around the clock before your big day and especially on the day of! Our wedding day, it rained and we had to move the ceremony inside, which was a disappointment, but the staff at Cedar Hall calmed my nerves and made a stunning ceremony space out of the reception hall that took our breaths away! We cannot say enough good things about our entire experience!

Cedar Hall was the absolute perfect venue for us. Everyone was so easy to work with and they really have everything that you need. It made planning a wedding from a distance much easier when everything was already available. My bridesmaids and I had so much fun staying in the house the night before the wedding and waking up to breakfast was the perfect start to our day. They truly made everything so special!! I would highly recommend Cedar Hall to any bride who is looking for a beautiful venue and stress-free planning process. Our day was so perfect!

If we had to do it all over again, we would definitely choose Cedar Hall to get married! My husband and I have demanding jobs, so it was awesome to have a venue who takes care of everything for you! It is so nice not to have to worry about the middle man for catering, flowers, etc. We got so many compliments from family and friends about how gorgeous our venue was. Carol Johnson was our coordinator and was wonderful- she took the time to meet with us and listen to our needs and our day ran super smoothly because of her!! The only issues we had was as it got closer to our big day, my e-mails weren’t getting responded to as quickly as before, and there was less flexibilty in being able to meet with Cedar Hall coordinators than previously (e.g., we had weekend and evening appts with no issues months prior to the big day, but then were told we could only meet during business hours as we got closer to the day). However, when we did get a response via e-mail or phone, we got all of our questions answered and concerns addressed. Another thing was the bridal suite was missing our champagne and OJ tray for mimosas. I wasn’t sure whom to contact, so I just asked my brother to bring something for us ladies to toast with. However, by the time we got it, we were so busy getting ready, we didn’t get a chance to do that. We also made changes to our menu and everything was correct on the final invoice. However, on the day of, the original items were served and one item was incorrect. However, everything was absolutely delicious and didn’t put a damper on our day. I would just advise future brides to double and triple check everything. Other than those super minor things, our day was absolutely wonderful and I wish we could do it all over again!

Picking Cedar Hall for my wedding was hands down the best decision. Leading up to the wedding, all my friends and family told me I would only remember the overall feeling of my wedding day. Because of Cedar Hall, I had a completely different experience. I can remember every single minute of my day because Cedar Hall takes care of everything for you. All I had to do was enjoy my day. Every employee I came in contact with was very professional and kind. This venue helps you every step of the way during the planning process and even knows how to plan for things you don't think of. This is an all-inclusive venue which really helped with my stress level. My wedding coordinator was Carol and she made my day perfect. She is very good at what she does and makes your day a breeze! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Cedar Hall was the best decision I ever made! My wedding there in June 2018 was as perfect as can be! My guests RAVED about how it was the best wedding food they had ever had and how amazing the venue was! All of the staff is great too - they are so willing to work with you and make your vision come to life! The bridal suite and groom's lounge were so perfect and fun for before the wedding. And of course every inch of the property is gorgeous! Cedar Hall is a one stop shop - they are really able to take a lot of stress off wedding planning! I would totally recommend this venue to anyone!

If you are considering Cedar Hall as your wedding venue, go for it. Cedar Hall was everything we hoped for and more. Obviously the place is beautiful, but what sets them apart is their dedication to giving you the wedding you want. They are so responsive and will do whatever they can to make your vision a reality. My wedding had some challenging circumstances regarding weather i.e. a downpour that started right before the ceremony which I was hell-bent on having outside. Well, huge shout out to Carol (our day-of coordinator) because she made that happen and never stopped smiling despite immense stress. Carol looked out for us all night. One small example that stuck with me is how she noticed I (bride) was immediately swept up in people at the reception and diverted away from the bar. She came over and asked me if I would like a glass of wine- she read my mind. Everyone at Cedar Hall was so wonderful. The staff all reception long were fantastic, extremely professional. I had so many people tell me how good the food was (agree). overall, I highly recommend. Our day was absolutely perfect.

Securing Cedar Hall for my venue and reception space was the best decision I ever made. Everyone from the initial meeting to the final meeting with the Wedding Coordinator was beyond amazing. As a bride that lives in Las Vegas attempting to plan a wedding in Memphis the staff was very helpful and considerate. Day of, everything went beautifully. My guests raved about the beauty of the space itself. The food was amazing and the bartender was well liked. :-) Thank you Cedar Hall for everything.

Cedar Hall is not only breathtaking with it's wonderful southern charm, but the staff knows exactly what they are doing! Flowers by John Mark on staff are so beautiful and elegant! Catering on-site is yummy and all my guests said it was the best food they have had, and Carol the wedding planner knows every detail of the day! There is no doubt that Cedar Hall is the place to get married in Memphis, TN! If I had to do it again, I so would!! The staff answered all my questions, concerns, emails and made me feel like family. I literally showed up the day of the wedding and felt like a princess! Thank you to ALL the Cedar Hall family for making me feel special and like I was a part of your home! I look forward to take anniversary photos in the house and garden and make more memories with my family at Cedar Hall!!!

I had an absolutely flawless experience with Cedar Hall! it was easy, fun, and an amazing setup. Their staff was quick and thorough. This is the place to book if you want to sit back and enjoy every moment of your day. Carol and the staff will take care of every detail for you! The food was amazing. The decor was beautiful. Everything went perfect.If I had one comment for improvement, I would say staff needs to slow down on the clean up. Some guests had their plate and cup picked up while walking away for just a moment. But also the staff was prompt!

The first time I saw Cedar Hall, I knew it was the only place I wanted to have my reception at. There is no other place like it! Everything from the main house, The Stables and garden was beautiful!!! There are so many pretty details!!Picking out the food was tough because there is so much to choose from. Our food came from the Fall/Winter menu and everything we picked out was amazing!!Our guests were so impressed with everything and complimented how the venue looked and how good the food was!!The Cedar Hall staff was also super helpful and great to work with. If I had a question, the ladies were just an email/text away— I would receive responses pretty quickly. I especially can’t thank my day-of wedding coordinator, Carol Johnson, enough!!My husband and I cannot get over how perfect our reception at Cedar Hall was!!

Wedding planning was so much less stressful because Micah and the team were on top of everything...the house and grounds are gorgeous, the food is fabulous...Cedar Hall provided me with the setting for my dream wedding to my dream guy! Cedar Hall is sheer perfection! My now husband and I had the most fantastic wedding and I know that was in large part to Cedar Hall and all their staff. We didn’t have to worry about a thing because we knew we were in good hands. Carol, our wedding coordinator, was on top of EVERYTHING! We didn’t have to lift a finger and Carol made sure our night was flawless. I wish that we could do everything all over again, not because I would want to change anything, but because I want to experiment the magic all over again. The venue is stunning and the people were amazing! We hands down, could not have chosen a better venue.

From the ceremony site to the cocktail hour in the English garden to the reception in the stables, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. All of our guests raved about the venue and many said that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. The food was great, and the bourbon bar was perfect!

This is a fantastic venue! We had our wedding here earlier this year, the staff are so very friendly and attentive, which made the whole day go that little bit more easier, and more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions made sure that everyone of our guests had plenty. The grounds are a beautiful sight, not to mention the building itself. Really could not have asked for a better day!

I really can't adequately put into words how PERFECT & seamless our wedding day/wedding process was because of Cedar Hall's staff. The venue grounds are drop dead gorgeous and I instantly fell in love with the place during my first visit. The venue manager is amazing, so kind, and extremely professional. All of my questions were eagerly/promptly answered and everything you need to know is laid out in the contract. There are absolutely no hidden fees. The food was amazing and all of our guests also complimented our food selection and the delicious taste of our food and beverage choices. I also can't say enough kind words about the wedding coordinator. The coordinator was so calm, kind, and level-headed. All wedding details were executed as desired and truth be told, the staff went above and beyond all of my wildest expectations. I will forever treasure the memories I shared with my loved ones in that BEAUTIFUL venue, more importantly, all staff members were incredible and made it their priority to ensure that all individuals were having a fun, stress-free time. Cedar Hall is absolutely beautiful!!! I loved everything about it! The staff is amazing and so helpful! I am so glad I picked Cedar Hall to have my wedding and I would highly recommend it to everyone!

There were so many awesome things about Cedar Hall that I'm not really sure where to begin.... So I'm just going to ramble through things as they pop to my mind! :) First, don't be scared that you can't taste the food! Everyone RAVED about how awesome, warm, and flavorful everything was. Go low on the alcohol number because you can't take the extra with you. Regardless of how many emails you send, Micah, Noel, and Stacy are ALWAYS going to be happy to help you. They are literally AMAZING! You're wedding coordinator will be a PRO. I mean seriously Carol was the woman and everything about the rehearsal, ceremony, and rehearsal was better than I expected. Our two huge floral arrangements for the ceremony blew over before and I had NO idea until we were heading into the reception. They were ninja quick, got everything cleaned up, and used the flowers throughout the barn like they were supposed to be there. Eat in the house after your ceremony... you will definitely appreciate the time being away from your guest and actually being able to eat. Get the votive candles and holders from Hobby Lobby! It stinks having to buy so many (we got 144) but if you catch them 50% off its worth it. I mean seriously the look of the venue under candle light is AMAZING! From the incredible grounds, the amazing main house, and the gorgeous stable, you seriously can't go wrong with Cedar Hall. The staff is incredible and so helpful and I promise you will not have to worry about anything on your wedding day. Thank you to the Cedar Hall staff - Micah, Noel, Stacy, and Carol - for making our wedding day PERFECT! We couldn't have picked a better venue for our perfect southern wedding.

Cedar Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding! The venue is beautiful, the staff are great and easy to work with, and all of our guest raved about the food! Carol was so great at her job of wedding planning. She covered all of the details I wouldn't have even thought of! The grounds and house are so picturesque. It is also a pretty affordable options because Cedar Hall includes so much in the price!

We absolutely loved having our wedding here! They did so much for us, so we didn't have to worry about anything. The stables for the reception was the most beautiful thing I could have imagined, and the outside ceremony was wonderful (the weather cooperated). If we needed any extras for the ceremony, it was almost guaranteed that they had what we needed (basket for programs, easle for a sign, etc), and they let us just use it for no extra cost (reception extras, such as table overlays and plate chargers were extra, but that was expected). Carol, the day-of coordinator, was so organized, and knew how to let the day flow. We had a time set for cake cutting, but she came up and asked if it was okay to push it back, since everyone was having such a good time dancing. It helped everthing run smoothly, rather than jumping from one thing to the next.

I had my wedding last Friday at Cedar Hall and it was absolutely amazing. Micah, Stacey, and all the staff were so helpful and easy to work with throughout the engagement process and the day-of. The most phenomenal aspect of our Cedar Hall experience was our wedding coordinator, Carol. Without her I know the day would have been much more stressful! She took care of so much throughout the day and was so genuine, making sure everything ran smoothly. I would 100% recommend Cedar Hall. They made our wedding day that much dreamier :)

All the ladies at Cedar Hall were very sweet, helpful, and gracious throughout the entire planning process! Also, they prepared a beautiful reception for my husband and me. We are so excited that we chose Cedar Hall for our reception venue! They went way beyond our dreams!

We held our wedding here earlier this month and I can't say enough good things about it! The property is absolutely stunning. From the gorgeous historic home (with SO many photo options!) to the meticulously manicured grounds, it is absolutely perfect. There are indoor options and outdoor options for the ceremony, and the Stables is a stunning reception space that really wowed our guests. I barely had to do any decorating because the property is so ornate and natural beautiful. The staff is also wonderful and very accommodating! We were coming from California to get married here, and they did everything possible to make this a stress-free experience! From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew this was where we had to get married, and I'm so thankful we decided to start our life together at Cedar Hall!
