I have really mixed feelings about the wedding process at Cedar Shores. I want to start by saying my wedding went AMAZING and the day went off without a hitch. The planning porcess however, was a totally different story. Kathi was impossible to get ahold of and all of the commitments were over the phone. Reservations were next to impossible for guests to make... our room block was full but the hotel was not. The front desk would tell our guests that there were no rooms even though there were... There was just so much confusion leading up to it I was horrified. I don't even really want to talk about the food because we had a tasting and it was completely different that what was served at the wedding... you would not have even recognized it if you tried to. I am not saying the food was bad... it just was not what we decided or thought we were getting. At the end of the day a wedding here is a great value compared to places in SIoux Falls that we looked at. Drinks were affordable and the day went off without a hitch. Just be ready for ALOT of stress if you are planning a wedding here.
