Welcome to Cedar Valley Forest! Located in De Soto, KS, Cedar Valley Forest has 57 acres that will take your breath away! If you love nature, being outdoors, Christmas trees, whimsical trails covered by trees, sparkling creeks, a classic farm experience with a touch of modern style, then Cedar Valley Forest is the perfect place for you. Our fully renovated Barn can accommodate 250 guests for an elegant modern farm style reception, after your ceremony. With the roll-up door on the barn, you can walk right out onto the patio to enjoy the fire pit at dusk and have a drink at the silo bar. The Cottage on our property, has a bridal suite and groom’s suite, so you can get ready at Cedar Valley Forest and not have to spend the day rushing from place to place. It is our goal to build a package that meets your needs and budget. Tables, chairs, set-up/clean-up, and use of our Cedar Valley Forest Decor is ALWAYS included in our packages, no matter how much you spend. We have over 1,500 pieces of decor to choose from which includes votives, vases, chargers, farmhouse tables, whiskey barrels, table runners, greenery and so much more! The best part is, you never pay extra to use it.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience at CVF. Our wedding was planned for Nov 2023 and 10 days prior to our wedding day the original venue closed its doors. It was at this point the owners of CVF came to our rescue! Jill and Jered were fabulous to work with - they agreed to quickly flip their venue as there was another wedding that same weekend. Jill guided us through the whole process as we had less than a week to plan, coordinate and organize with our other vendors. Their support during this transition was invaluable. In addition, the venue is absolutely beautiful with a wonderful indoor/outdoor reception area. Our wedding day was just PERFECT - better than we could've ever imagined. It was a wonderful day for us, our family and our close friends for which we’ll be eternally grateful to CVF.

Cedar Valley Forest is truly a gem!!! The venue and property are absolutely gorgeous. The Love Oaks ceremony site is perfect as is, but easy to decorate if you wanted to. The reception hall was air conditioned, which I felt was a rare find for the more rustic venues in the area, and the venue had tons of decor items for us to borrow for no extra cost - that was a huge bonus for us, as we don't live in KS and didn't want to haul a bunch of decor from home. Andrea and Jill were a HUGE help to us throughout the planning process, as well as on the day of the wedding - they were quick to respond to questions, gave us helpful tips and advice when it came to decisions on floor plans, other vendors, and timelines, and Andrea worked so hard to make sure our wedding day went smoothly. The cottage is kept immaculately clean and was comfortable for the entire wedding party to get ready in, and it was really cool to watch our guests move from the reception hall to the ceremony site before the wedding from the cottage with my bridesmaids. I'm sure I could say much more about how great CVF and their staff is, but I think people should experience it all for themselves. Highly, highly recommend Cedar Valley Forest.

Cedar Valley Forest was everything we could have dreamed of and more! My husband and I wanted a winter wedding and when we found CVF how could we pass it up? I mean Christmas Tree Farm in December? Yes please! Andrea was our DOC and she made EVERYTHING so easy! She was easy to communicate with way before the wedding, during the wedding, and I can call her our friend after! She takes the time to get to know you and your vision and really helps put it all together. We are a gay couple, and they were so inclusive and welcoming that we couldn't have felt more comfortable to be ourselves! They also have tons of decor you can borrow for free which was amazing. I can't thank CVF and Andrea enough for all that they did to make us feel so special on our big day!!

Could not have picked a better venue. It had literally everything anyone could possibly need. Everyone was so nice and helpful. It was very easy to communicate with everyone before, during, and even after the wedding. Would definitely do it all over again if I could!

What an awesome venue! They were truly the best part of our wedding experience from the coordination to the day-of. Andrea did an incredible job so we hope CVF recognizes what talent they have there. She smoothed out the bumps and made everything run the best it could.

Wonderful venue! All our guests loved the site and we enjoyed working with them! We had Andrea as our DOC, and she was on top of everything. Really helped relieve stress from the day. We also had the DJ group they work with at our wedding, who were so flexible on our day of!

\"In my heart is a Christmas tree farm...\" may be the hook phrase of Taylor Swift's newest Christmas single, but in my case it is also a true statement. We first toured CVF the summer of 2019. We booked it the first day, and of course we had NO IDEA what the world has in store for us. Our first wedding date was 4/25/20 and we of course had to postpone in early March. They were SOOOO sweet to us and worked with us to find a new date. We pushed it back to 11/21/20 and ended up having the most WONDERFUL wedding. The venue is AMAZING! It's set up perfectly with the cottage on site. We did a full weekend package and are so glad we did. The staff was wonderful the entire time we worked with them (on and off for a year and a half) and I could not recommend this venue any more. Towards the end I had about a million questions and Andrea answered them all! She was VERY patient with me and never made me feel like I was bothering her. She was also on site for the actual wedding and most of the reception so that was a huge help as well. Do not hesitate on this venue! I cannot recommend them enough, and CVF will forever be one of my favorite places!

Dustin & Lindsey are so fun and are amazing at what they do! Plus their space is absolutely beautiful! We had our wedding there about 2 weeks ago and cannot say enough great things! The girls in the wedding party stayed over night the night before in the cottage house. It’s such a cute spot and and was a perfect getting ready spot. They even have a groom’s suite so they guys can get ready their too. Dustin and Lindsey were very responsive and so helpful! I feel like we had a million questions and they answered them all and made us feel so at ease about our big day. We have received soooo many wonderful compliments from family and friends about how gorgeous the whole property is. 10/10 would hands down recommend! And we can’t want to come back during Christmas and get our Christmas tree!
