Absolutely perfect venue! We had our reception here and it was perfect. Steve was very helpful when we had any questions. The space is lovely and has two floors that is perfect for dancing on one floor and dinner on the other. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful venue all around! Steve is amazingly helpful and responsive. The venue is gorgeous and I loved having the option of upstairs and downstairs for those that don’t want the loud music. Being able to have real candles was great and really added to our vibe for the night. Definitely would reccomend to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding space

Wonderful venue all around! Steve is amazingly helpful and responsive. The venue is gorgeous and I loved having the option of upstairs and downstairs for those that don’t want the loud music. Being able to have real candles was great and really added to our vibe for the night. Definitely would reccomend to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding space

My husband and I had such a magical night at Steven’s venue. The decor Steven already has makes it very easy to decorate as we just had the tables to decorate!! Steven was readily available throughout the process and was very hands on which was helpful and took some of the stress away.

Steve was absolutely amazing to work with! We were able to go see the venue very shortly after contacting him, and it was just as beautiful as the pictures, if not more so! The space is already so elegant that very minimal decorations are needed at all. Steve was available to text/visit whenever we had questions during the process, and was right there the entire day of our wedding to help keep transitions and processes running smoothly! We spent exactly 0% of our day there worrying about venue stuff, as he and his team were 100% on it the entire evening. The ability to move upstairs for cocktail hour while the ceremony space is flipped into the dinner space is incredibly convenient, and our guests LOVED being able to have both ceremony/reception in one place! We decided to book our wedding & reception at Cellar 222 in early 2023 and held the event in the fall of 2023. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We saved a ton of money because the venue decorates itself. The location is fantastic with beautiful hotels nearby. Almost all of our vendors had hosted there several times before, which made setup for them all very easy. Steven was one of the perks of the package. He was always available for questions, helped us organized the big day, and was there to help us get it started on the right foot. He helped make our special day even more special. Cellar 222 is a truly beautiful venue! It provided the perfect backdrop for a magical evening. The charming architecture was highlighted by its quality furnishings and decor. Owner Steven Bell made the experience that much better! Easy communication, guidance for clients who really needed it, and his help during set up were invaluable. He made the conversion from ceremony to reception appear quick and easy. All of our guests were talking about what a wonderful venue it was! I am so happy that Cellar 222 was the choice of my son and daughter-in-law for their wedding and reception!

100/10 When we walked into tour this venue, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. From selecting the date, making payments and coordinating vendors, Steve made the process very easy. He was always accommodating any time I wanted to come and re-walk the venue. He reached out to confirm vendors and timelines the week leading up to the day. He was also on site the entire day to help with any set up as well as to answer any questions. All of my family and friends that worked with him told me I made a great choice and that Steve was great. Everyone also commented on the beauty of the venue! I would 100% recommend the venue and would not change a thing.

We could not have possibly been happier with this venue! It was the perfect size for our 80-guest wedding. Steve made sure all of our questions were answered and encouraged us to visit the space often to make sure we knew exactly what we were working with. Very little decor was needed, as the building has wonderful urban charm with exposed brick and stone. And the bridal suite was the perfect spot to sit and recharge if sensory overload started to hit. I cannot recommend Cellar 222 enough to give it justice.

The Cellar222 was perfect for our wedding and reception. It was the perfect location, size, layout, and it reminded us of a little castle to support our Game of Thrones theme. Steve, the owner was great. He literally helped us with wedding planning by suggesting top notch vendors and responding to ad hoc questions quickly. He was always available via email, text messages, and 3 -way calls. His patience and experience kept us confident and calm that our day would be unique, special, and executed without major problems. Our decor complimented this venue, so the pictures are absolutely beautiful. The upstairs was perfect for a cocktail hour, a live band and a DJ. We cannot say enough great things about this venue and is owner, Steve. The venue itself is beautiful and requires very little as far as decorating. Our guests loved this place. Steve provided up front pricing and communicated clearly every step of the way. We ended up having our rehearsal here the night before and he accommodated every request we made. The day of, we literally worried about nothing. It was handled! Pro tip: use vendors from his preferred vendor list and you will have a hassle free event. They know their stuff!!

Cellar 222 was the perfect event space for our Night Before/Rehearsal dinner for 70 people. Steve was a fantastic host and was always available to answer questions and help in any way he could. We used the bar upstairs and had dinner in the lower level and our guest were amazed at the beautiful venue. We are from out of town, and Steve made it all so easy. Real candles on the tables made the entire place shine all night. Highly recommend this beautiful event space- lots of room, beautiful look, plenty of free parking and a great location downtown.

On the day of the wedding Steve was with us for pretty much everything, happily helping to help resolve any issues with decor, vendors or managing our family. Steve (the owner) was so great to work with. He was quick to respond to my initial emails asking for details about the venue and all my questions throughout the planning process. He provided so many good tips and made us feel very relaxed about the wedding process. We visited the venue several times before the day of our wedding and Steve was great at answering our questions and helping to plan everything out. On the day of the wedding, he sent me a text letting me know everything was set up and ready to go and it was a relief. Our wedding was great and we got so many compliments on Cellar 222. It is so naturally beautiful so there wasnt much extra decorating for us to do. Overall, a beautiful and great venue. Such a great experience and I will continue to recommend to those looking for wedding venues.

My husband and I just got married here April 15, 2023 and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful architecture & interior (we honestly didn’t need many decorations at all because the space was so gorgeous on its own), loved the bridal suite, plenty of parking & the vibe was exactly what we wanted for our special day. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it. I loved the two floors. Steve, the owner, is amazing to work with and was so helpful the entire way through. He made us feel comfortable & informed from the very first meeting. He was very accommodating & was there every step of the way. He also recommended preferred vendors and worked with our other vendors as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better person & venue to work with on our special day! Thank you Cellar 222, we would highly recommend this venue for any special occasion!

We had a smaller wedding (50ish people) and this venue was everything we needed and more! Steve was great to work with and was super calm during the entire process. I toured the venue a few different times with friends and family and he was always so patient with me. The venue looked incredible for our actual wedding and they did a great job of flipping the space between the ceremony and reception. If you are looking for a laid back space that has incredible preferred vendors (catering, bar, and linens) look no further than Cellar 222.

We used Cellar 222 for our wedding reception in March of 2023. We hosted a cocktail style reception with a full bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a 6 piece band for slightly over 150 guests. We had a lot of people in the space, yet it never seemed too crowded. The two floors allowed our guests to spread out and created some separation for those that wanted to dance the night away with the band upstairs (shout out to KC All-Stars) and those who wanted to spend the time talking in the more subdued downstairs. It was an amazing evening and we could not be happier with Cellar 222. Steve did a great job of supporting us and giving us advice along the way. The venue is beautiful and needs no decoration, although we added a few just make it extra special...including lots of candles! From the moment we walked through the space for our initial tour we knew it was the right spot for our event. Aside from the venue being turnkey ready some of the definite benefits of this venue is the flexibility you have to use outside vendors. We opted to use several of the preferred vendors that Steve provided us and they too were awesome to work with (shout out to Top Shelf Bartending, Dutzel Catering, and Sugar Beats Bake Shop). Additionally, as a gay couple we are always attuned to how welcoming the vendors we worked with seemed in the process. Not all businesses are as open minded as we would hope and it was import to us to work with people who are supportive of our tribe. From the start Steve was awesome to work with and it was definitely apparent he was a supportive ally. We honestly have not one concern, complaint, or issue and highly recommend Cellar 222! Cellar 222 is beautiful, affordance, flexible, and in a great location with lots of parking for guests. You will not be disappointed!

He recommended great vendors that frequently work with the venue so the planning process was a breeze, but we also appreciated the flexibility of choosing our own bakery for the cake. Overall, I am SO glad that we chose Cellar 222 for our wedding. I felt so pretty coming down the staircase in my dress to walk down the aisle, and everyone loved the reception that followed and kept talking about how beautiful and unique the venue is. We held our wedding reception at Cellar 222 on Oct. 16, 2022 and we had an incredibly wonderful experience with Steve and his team. Steve responds so promptly to every inquiry and is consistently flexible and gracious in his response. He provides a list of recommended vendors and we used the caterer, DJ, and bar tender from the list and they worked out great. This venue has the urban vibe we wanted and we created a soft and welcoming environment with lots of candles, silk flower arrangements and soft lighting. We loved having a cocktail hour on the first floor and transitioning down to dinner and back up stairs for dancing- the spaciousness was something all our guests commented on. They all loved this space and I honestly can say you will be in the best hands while planning with Steve and his team. Enjoy!

There are plenty of opportunities to decorate, but the space is so lovely by itself that it doesn’t require a lot of decor if you don’t want to focus on that. We absolutely recommend this venue for your celebration!

Cellar 222 was the first venue that we went and actually saw in person and we were instantly sold! Steve was a wonderful host and he always stayed calm and made sure that I had everything I needed and even recommended other vendors to me. It's a lovely venue with different levels for you to really enjoy and have a semi small wedding. The fireplace was the perfect setting for us to say I do and the entire place was exactly what we needed. They say to always look at more than one spot before you decide, but we knew that this was the place for us and was very reasonably priced. I wish I could give this an even higher rating, but just know that you are going to love having your wedding there. The professionalism and kindness Steve showed us makes me want to do it all over again because of that alone.

The venue is so beautiful and neatly decorated that it doesn’t take much to bring it to life. That was another big thing for me! We had the best night ever and our guest loved Cellar 222!

Steve is the venue owner and although his venue was beautiful he himself was just a great person and that helped us pick our venue! He is very responsive and worked great with our schedule! The venue is so beautiful and neatly decorated that it doesn’t take much to bring it to life. That was another big thing for me! We had the best night ever and our guest loved Cellar 222!

This is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding! We loved our experience with Cellar 222 and especially, Steve, the owner. Steve was always available to answer any questions I had and allowed us to come to the venue to plan several times before the day. The venue doesn't require a lot of extra decorating and we received so many compliments from guests on the unique venue. Our favorite thing about Cellar 222 is that it's 2 levels so you can have the party/dancing on one floor and chatting/relaxing on another to accommodate everyone. There is no elevator between the floors, but the stairs weren't an issue for our guests.

The best venue in the KC area! If you are looking for a venue, look no further. Cellar 222 is a beautiful hidden gem in Downtown KCMO. I am so happy we had our ceremony AND reception here. My wedding was about 110 people and everyone was complimenting how beautiful the venue was. The owner, Steve is hands down so amazing to work with. We had an issue with another venue (we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic and our old venue would not postpone or refund us & so we backed out of our old venue contract even though we lost money) when we found Cellar222 and met Steve he was so kind to us, he heard our story and discounted us for all the issues we had endured. Out of the kindness of his heart just took money off because he’s a great guy. He is very down to earth and calm, exactly the kinda personality you’re looking for when it comes to wedding planning! He made our entire process easy. The venue itself is so beautiful, i cannot say enough positive things about this place. The bridal suite was gorgeous, it allows for some beautiful photos! Plenty of room for food, cake, dancing, photo booth, we had it all! The perfect place for an intimate wedding. We even left behind a gift and Steve kept it safe for us and offered to drive it to us! I literally have nothing negative to say about our experience, it was simply perfect.

We had an issue with another venue (we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic and our old venue would not postpone or refund us & so we backed out of our old venue contract even though we lost money) when we found Cellar222 and met Steve he was so kind to us, he heard our story and discounted us for all the issues we had endured. Out of the kindness of his heart just took money off because he’s a great guy. He is very down to earth and calm, exactly the kinda personality you’re looking for when it comes to wedding planning! He made our entire process easy. The venue itself is so beautiful, i cannot say enough positive things about this place. The bridal suite was gorgeous, it allows for some beautiful photos! Plenty of room for food, cake, dancing, photo booth, we had it all! The perfect place for an intimate wedding. We even left behind a gift and Steve kept it safe for us and offered to drive it to us! I literally have nothing negative to say about our experience, it was simply perfect.

Steven with Cellar222 was awesome. We decided to go with the venue February of 2019 with our original wedding date of July 2020. We ended up pushing our date back to January 2021 and in those two years he answered every one of my questions within an hour. My husband and I were the only ones handling all the planning so we didn’t really know what to do and it helped knowing we could ask him any questions and get his input. This venue is absolutely stunning and requires very little decoration- venue layout was perfect. We loved having both the upstairs and downstairs. This slowed our wedding to feel so intimate. Instead of large halls that can feel huge we were able to have an eating space and dancing space that both felt intimate and friendly. Additionally, this venue is flexible so you can make the set up however you want. -given that we used the downstairs for eating and upstairs for dancing, it was so great that we could clean up and get items out to the cars while people were upstairs dancing. This way no one even noticed the clean up! -affordable!-easy parking which is hard to find in the crossroadsI cannot say it enough, I loved this venue: the staff, the layout, the vibe, and the location. We both loved this venue and Steve is absolutely amazing to work with. We loved the layout of the venue and didn't need a lot of decorations with the natural beauty this venue has to offer. Steve was very helpful in answering our questions and helping us get our vendors for the wedding. There is plenty of parking for guests and security to keep you and your guests safe. We were able to bring our dogs and include them in our special day which was great as they are our children. He was very welcoming to everyone and helpful the day of the wedding. Highly recommend cellar 222 for wedding ceremony and receptions. We got married on sept 26 and has an amazing wedding. During covid times it was stressful planning a wedding but Steve was there to help every step. Steve is the owner and He was very quick to answer texts, calls, and emails. When we originally had to move our date he was very helpful in finding us a new date! We were able to visit several times to help make wedding decor decisions. This is a great place for any couple to get married!!!

There are two levels that accommodate hosting the ceremony and reception perfectly.
