Joanna Martinez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-02-2022 Chapel in the clouds was a beautiful venue and I am so happy that I chose this place for my intimate ceremony & reception. John and his team were very helpful every step of the way! The food, drinks, desserts and wedding cake were absolutely delicious! Stay away from John DeLon, the manager over catering and convention services, private dining, and chapel in the clouds. He promised me the Twilight room at top of the world was available for my reception dinner in THREE weeks from now and I get my event order form ready to sign and it has a totally different room on there and he said, oh yeah the twilight room isn't available. So.....when were you planning on telling me this? Communication was so slow and I had to double email a LOT. They are very disorganized. Such a shame. Now I have to find a new reception venue on super short notice. Reviewed on 05-12-2021

Then the butler told me he couldn’t extend it... Then finally got the ok to extend my wedding and reception but only after I threw a fitThe camera man was a joke. I told him there are two brides and this dude said I’m only supposed to take pictures of 1. To top things off.. the hotel lost power and running water causing my guest to have to move hotels. They did issue credit to us in return for the cost of 1 night. Also they’ve know for a long time that this was a same sex wedding.. so why were we receiving emails saying bride and groom. Just disrespectful. I called them Out on it several times and never 1 apology for it. The wedding Dj was absolutely amazing!!! He gets most vote. Victoria Chiong(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-05-2018 The Chapel In The Clouds wedding venue was absolutely perfect for our simple, spur of the moment nuptials. We decided to just take the leap and forget the extravagant wedding we had already dreaded planning, haha. So, after some quick research we decided on this venue due to the affordability of their various wedding packages, availability (we planned everything in less than two weeks), and for just the overall picturesque quality it had. Plus, it's pretty cool to say you got married at \"the top of the world!\" The wedding coordinators were very accommodating in every way possible. However, the team at Chapel In The Clouds truly blew me away when they actually upgraded our ceremony package for free, the day of, since the actual chapel was vacant. This was truly unexpected and made our day that much more special. I cannot thank them enough for that generosity! The officiant was very pleasant. Our photographer was proficient as well. However, our family members thought him to be a little on the bossy side and were hoping for more creative photo ideas. A lot of the poses were either generic or we had come up with them ourselves. Afterward, the coordinators reserved our tiny party a table at the Top of the World Restaurant for an amazing after-wedding meal. The food was spectacular, service was fantastic, and of course the atmosphere is just gorgeous and chic. Reviewed on 16-01-2018

Andi Anders(wedding party)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-01-2019 My daughter got married at the Chapel in the clouds in October 2017. We purchased the 'Stairway to the stars' wedding package (roughly $ 1800 on the weekends) and our wedding coordinator was Daun H. From the booking to the day of the wedding it was extremely difficult to work with our so called wedding coordinator Daun. It was very difficult to reach her by phone and emails would get no replies. I had to contact her because when I got my contract for the wedding it had the wrong time and a wrong contact phone number to reach us.We also had booked the wedding reception at the Crafted Buffet (Stratosphere) for 2:30 pm. When I checked online a few weeks before the wedding I saw that the buffet hours had changed and that it was now CLOSED from 2-4 pm. I immediately TRIED to contact Daun and got no reply for a week. It took another week to resolve the issue - I'm still wondering what would have happened if I didn't check the hours of the Crafted Buffet myself ? Since we had never been at the Stratosphere before we expected our wedding coordinator to show us the chapel and reception venue the day prior to the wedding (as stated in the contract). When we tried to make an appointment to meet with Daun we were told that she was off that day and could send us the neccessary information by email !!! The day of the wedding Daun never even introduced herself - she came out of the office took us to the elevator and turned around and left..... Upstairs in the chapel area we found the butler Mario. Another nightmare.... He was very rude and arrogant. We caught him more than once rolling his eyes and after the ceremony when all our guests were standing and waiting to take a few photos with the happy couple ,he came running through screaming \" Excuse me\" and ripping the white paper carpet off that went down the isle.Very unprofessional. Now to the positive parts - the chapel was beautiful. Our guests enjoyed the view and the minister Carlos V. was very nice. The photographer Anthony did a great job too.The highlight was the Crafted Buffet. We booked a semi private room that turned out to be private (we had almost 50 guests). Our guests enjoyed a great variety of tasty food. The set up was very nice with white table cloth and flowers on every table. There were 3 waiters that constantly removed finished plates and refilled drinks. The buffet manager Larry was on top of things and came by numerous times. Season Cross(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-10-2017 We originally had a rental house to stay at and have our wedding and after having it booked for months and sending out our invites to everyone with the rental house info on them the owner of the house contacted us stating that the county shut him down from having any type of party there and that he would need to cancel our stay and refund out money. So, with less than four months to go we were stressing on where to have a reception and stay within our budget. I have been dealing with Tori at the Stratosphere and she has gone above and beyond!! She has responded very quickly to all of my questions and concerns and bent over backwards to get exactly what we needed. She truly cared about our day being perfect for us. I love that she is making it stress free so we can just show up and not have to worry about anything. We can enjoy our day and celebrate with our friends and family. When one door closes another one opens and it was a blessing the rental house didn't work out. We are going to have the reception we always dreamt of. The real Vegas feel to our perfect day. If I could go back and do it again, I would still pick this venue. The view from the chapel is BREATHTAKING! I really don't think there's anywhere in Vegas that comes close for a casino chapel. However, communication was seriously lacking during the planning process. The wedding coordinator we worked with, Daun, was VERY nice, however the catering managers were cold and even rude at times. Again, everything turned out wonderful on the day of our wedding, but considering we spent thousands of dollars having our wedding here, I would have expected better service along the way. Shawn Davis(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2011 The view was beautiful from the top of the Stratosphere and having the reception at the buffet was fantastic. The staff was great leading up to the event and helpful with last minute question before we arrived in Vegas. The problem started the day before the wedding. We asked if we could use an area for pictures and told that shouldn't be a problem. Day of the event the place we were using to shoot was sudden not okay and we were rushed to wrap up photos. The minister provided by the hotel was great during the ceremony but then asked for a tip afterwards. The minister also took it upon himself to shout across the room as we were doing photos that we should also tip the photographer. We were pressured into starting the ceremony early, with some of our guest almost missing the event. We also paid to have the ceremony webcast, and with them starting the ceremony early our friends weren't able to view it at the proper time.\r\rThe next day when we went to view photos from our wedding the person helping us was annoyed that we didn't want to spend $3000 on our photos. She seemed annoyed at us after that because we didn't want to spend thousands on so-so pictures.\r\rAll in all the weekend was great but the ceremony was our least favorite part. In the end we felt like they were just after our money and our special day wasn't much of their concern. We loved having our wedding in Vegas. Reviewed on 11-11-2011

My daughter had a wedding in the Chapel in the Clouds and a reception in the Renaissance room for 30 people. There was some difficulty in the planning stages but that all worked out and we were pleased with the ceremony and the dinner. The food was great. I wish that they had told us ahead of time that smoking is not allowed anywhere on that floor. Guests leaving to smoke are required to take an elevator to the Observation Deck. This can take quite some time. The waiters held up the dinner service waiting for guests to return and our party ran late, costing us an additional $487. If discussed in advance, I could have requested that they not delay the service. This was an unhappy ending to an otherwise great party. Reviewed on 15-04-2011

Sunny Wanser(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-08-2008 We did the Stratosphere's 'mini-reception' package that takes place in wedding chapel after the ceremony. We lucked out and got a sunset time in the chapel so when we got there it was light outside but by the end of the ceremony the sun had set. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The chapel itself does not face The Strip which I was a little concerned about... But actually in the Chapel you get to see the mountains and desert of Vegas and it's quite romantic. We utilized the Stratosphere florist and cake baker too and both of them did an absolutely amazing job. I opted to upgrade both my bouquet and the cake. I sent them pictures and a description of what I wanted and they exceeded my expectations. I wanted orange lilies and at first they said they'd be too hard to get but the ones they found were exquisite. The cake looked even better than the picture I sent and was really good! The chapel also has this wall painted with these sort of flourishes in the back and at first I thought it was kind of cheesy but the pictures we took in front of it turned out so great! You wouldn't have thought it just by looking at the wall itself but it's actually a great backdrop.;The package we chose included three hot appetizers along with cake and champagne--served in the chapel. The food was actually very good but not many people wanted to hang out for the full two hours we had in the chapel. I really liked having the appetizers and cake in the chapel but I would strongly recommend to anyone else who books this chapel to buy additional booze too! Reviewed on 14-02-2009

nicola grissom(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-04-2006 The view was lovely, and the food was quite nice. I felt no pressure to buy up (get a cake if I didn't want one, get more expensive catering options). It was definitely a fun choice.;We were only able to book the room for 3 hours, but i really think an extra hour or two would have been worth it (especially as our time ended at 10:30pm and they were unlikely to be using that room for anything else that evening). They also become very efficient at cleaning up the room as soon as your time is up. Three hours is much shorter than it sounds! I also wasn't much of a fan of our DJ, but he came with the dance floor (either that or piped-in hotel music), and we were able to provide our own music which by and large was played when we wanted it. I think most wedding DJs have control issues, though, or else they wouldn't have become DJs. Reviewed on 05-10-2007
