Local lore has it that golf was first played in the Chartiers Valley in 1901 on a six-hole course in Thornburg borough. The founder of the town, Frank Thornburg, created this course - the Thornburg Plot - to help attract potential homeowners. In 1902, residents of Thornburg began an uncharted golf club at that course. This would lead to the founding of Chartiers Heights Country Club in 1924, which would later carry on that legacy as Chartiers Country Club. You can host your memorable celebrations in a number of indoor and outdoor event spaces on this property. These include the Grand Ballroom, the Gallery, Tudor Hall, the Chartiers Room, the Veranda, the Porch, the Board Room, the Grill at Chartiers, and the Men's Grill.
