Chelsea Sun Inn is a wedding venue in Mount Bethel, PA, that offers a very unique 24hr event experience! Situated on 200 private acres, Chelsea Sun is a 20,000 square foot Mansion surrounded by miles & miles of lush, unspoiled countryside with unparalleled views of the famous Delaware Water Gap Mountain pass from our ceremony hill! Conveniently located about an hour from the greater Northern New Jersey/ New York City area & only 1.5 hrs from Philly, Chelsea Sun Inn is an ideal destination location! No fee for ceremony on site! Reception table, chairs, tablecloths included! Ceremony chairs are included! An officiant is also available if needed! Chelsea Sun's main house can sleep 30 adults and 15 children comfortably with breakfast optional for everyone the next morning. Add in the large outdoor inground pool, outdoor heated jacuzzi spa, fire pit & you have all the makings for a perfect family & friends' celebratory weekend! I recently had my wedding here, and I loved every second of my day! This venue is gorgeous and my photographer capture beautiful candid throughout the property. Shane was so easy to talk to leading up to our day. The day of, we had Helen, and her and her staff, made sure everything was there in place, and Helen checked in with me throughout the day, and was such a calming feature to have during the day! Highly recommend having your beautiful wedding here!

Amazing venue and the most perfect weekend!! Loved being able to utilize all of the unique areas of the property! I highly recommend booking the entire weekend - we had a welcome event on Friday where we set up s'mores by the fireplace. We started Saturday early with drinks in the great room followed by the ceremony on top of the hill, which was absolutely breathtaking and the trolly was so much fun!! The ceremony was under the tents but we had the fireplace going and people were also exploring inside of the mansion. We finished with an after party in the oak room for another scenery change. Our guests really loved all of the different areas we were able to explore and take advantage of. Shane and all of the other staff from the Chelsea Sun Inn were amazing throughout the entire process!! They worked very hard to make sure the entire weekend was extra special :-)

We recently had our wedding at the Chelsea Sun Inn in Mount Bethel. It was a beautiful day, the venue was setup as expected and also the ceremony location. The ceremony location was BEAUTIFUL. OUR GUESTS LOVED IT! The professionalism of the staff, especially Shane was top notch. In addition, this venue came with rooms for our guests! We would absolutely work with Shane again and others within his team for other events in the future! Absolutely ECSTATIC that our day couldn't have been any more perfect. The most beautiful venue with lots of options and the most OKAYest wedding/event planner I’ve ever met. This review is tailored to those who are planning to rent/book an event at Chelsea Sun Inn- just an FYI. Let me start by saying that my now husband and I have been to Chelsea Sun Inn for more than one event as GUESTS and had an enjoyable experience each time. As clients who were renting the property & paying the bill, our experience was polar opposite. The theme of Chelsea Sun Inn (specifically an employee we’ll call “Richard”) was excuses, excuses, excuses.We were engaged in October of 2019 and upon starting wedding planning we set out to find a venue since we planned to get married in September or October of 2020. Every venue I contacted reached back out to us almost immediately to set up tours/meetings/etc. I left four messages and sent three emails to the Chelsea Sun Inn, never receiving return communication. It was not until someone gave me their event coordinators direct number was I able to get ahold of someone. Richard was accommodating, we toured, and booked the same night. In the beginning stages he was great, very chatty, and said yes to everything we asked (red flag!). The closer we got to our wedding, the worse his communication got. He claimed he didn’t have cell service anywhere on the property when he didn’t call back for weeks at a time. We had two (of our four payments) just sitting around waiting to be cashed for over a month, which I found both comical and annoying as we were paying for other things and continuing our wedding budget. They were not cashed until I reached out asking for it to be done, yet in many discussions Richard told us how expensive the property was to maintain. The day of our wedding was nothing but disasterous from the moment I woke up. We couldn't get ready in the room we were promised (and confirmed) due to Richard allowing it to be booked, grass wasn't cleaned up at our ceremony site until I complained and I was told \"the ceremony site is clean\" except the entire area where people walk through was not. My tables weren't set up correctly or on time which delayed everything, Richard was MIA for most of the day, which resulted in a late ceremony (I was ready!). Garbage piling up during our reception despite Richard telling us \"we're always watching and always here\". To sum things up, our wedding day was amazing, beautiful, and a cherished memory…but every time we talk about our wedding day there is this grey cloud hanging over it named Richard. The entire morning and afternoon leading up to our wedding was nothing but aggravation, lack of communication, and plain MIA business. This is a great venue, but look elsewhere if you don’t have bulldogs as friends or an event background like I do, because though he advertises his services, Richard is nothing but a real Richard.

Shane was a blast to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. We booked this venue for a July 4th 2020 wedding. We gave a deposit of $3840 and were to receive a signed contract which we never received. This was in July 2019. Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic which caused us to cancel our wedding due to PA covid mandates. We contacted all of our vendors all of which graciously refunded our deposit with the exception of the Chelsea Sun. Shane, the event planner said the pandemic decimated their business and they were close to bankrupt. He asked to set up a payment plan, and promised the owner would call us. We never received a call, and we never got one cent back of deposit back. We explained we were unable to take off any more time and could not reschedule our wedding for another time this year. We strongly suggest you reconsider of you are considering booking this venue. The are very unorganized, unprofessional, inexperienced and dishonest. According to Shane, the owner’s sons are running the buisness and Shane stated they have \"no clue\" what they are doing. Please save yourself from a disaster on your wedding day and dont book here. Not only did we lose almost $4000, we lost our long awaited wedding day.

The Chelsea Sun Inn is the perfect wedding venue! Upon our first visit to the Inn, we were sold. The building itself is a masterpiece of grandeur and quaint elements which makes it such a unique venue. The tented reception area on the back patio is just amazing- such an elegant yet also 'blank canvas' beauty where each guest can truly make it fit just their style. Shane was AMAZING throughout the entire booking process, he met with us on several occasions and gave tours of the property and each unique room in the Inn. He answered the many questions I had in the months and weeks leading up to the big day and was beyond wonderful when our May 2020 wedding was affected by the pandemic. Shane went above and beyond to ease our stress and made the experience so great although we had to change almost everything about our wedding day. He worked with us to reschedule our wedding reception for September 2020 without any extra fees or penalties. I could go on and on about how accommodating and creative Shane and the staff was for us! On the day of the reception, our guests could not stop raving about the beauty of the property! The hill overlooking the Delaware Water Gap was the perfect place to get sunset pictures with our photographer and really anywhere on the property is photogenic! To top off a wonderful day, we had the whole Inn for the night with our guests to stay over (including the pool and hot tub which were well loved by all!) and enjoyed an amazing breakfast for the overnight guests the next morning. I truly could not have been more happy with the Chelsea Sun Inn and the service we received there from Shane, Randy, and the wonderful staff!! A true gem among wedding venues!

My wife and I fell in love with the Chelsea Sun Inn from the first time we toured the property. The estate is just beautiful inside and out. There is a mixture of both old and new;From the amazing wood work in the panelings and moldings. The old stone work in the original sections of the estate. To the amazing fireplace as a focal point in the main sitting area. On top of that all of the guests rooms are unique and beautiful in their own way. From the suites to the standard rooms. None will disappoint.There are so many unique and interesting things showcased throughout the entire estate, it's just something you need to see for yourself. We loved it so much we decided to have our wedding there. Getting married on ceremony hill surrounded by nature and breathtaking views of the Delaware Water Gap is indescribable. Sunsets there are just magnificent. The sky bursts with blazing hues of autumnal colors. It's so incredibly peaceful and calming it feels like your in a some sort of fairytale. If you ever decide to stay at Chelsea it something you just have to experience. We had the luxury of getting married on Ceremony hill on October,12th 2019. We were even blessed with a rainbow if the view wasn't already incredible enough.Our reception went off without at hitch. Everything was so perfect. Our guests couldn't stop expressing to us how much they loved our venue. It's so unique and much more intimate then getting married at some Fancy Hotel filled with a bunch of strangers. You are surrounded only by the people you know and love. The staff there are both pleasant and a pleasure to work with. If you stay the night you will have the pleasure of meeting Apple in the morning for breakfast. She is such a kind soul and will do whatever she can to make you comfortable. She started our day off right. Whipping up a fantastic breakfast for us and our guests. Shane who is the coordinator/GM/a few other things, was our main contact from the beginning. He showed us the property on day one and was with us until very late the night of our ceremony helping to make sure everything was perfect for our special day. Randy was another star player during our time there. He helped us with whatever we needed and was on property most of the time we were there, both the day of and the day before our wedding. He is such an interesting person. Some of my groomsman and I had great conversations with him for hours one night. It was nice to get to know him on a more personal level. Randy also provided some amazing entertainment for us and our guests during our reception with an incredible fire dance. I also want to thank James and Alex who helped set up our tables and chairs for our ceremony and reception. There was another young man who was very helpful but unfortunately I don't remember his name. He was super helpful land even chopped up some firewood for us to use in the fire pit.I do apologize for forgetting your name but you deserve to be mentioned. We fully expect to return for another amazing weekend with friends.

I had my wedding at the Chelsea Sun Inn September 27th. It was so perfect! Everyone could not believe how beautiful it was. A month later and my vendors are still posting pictures of it. It's a photographers dream. There are so many spots to take pictures even inside. The wood work has so much detail. I actually had my ceremony inside, in front of the beautiful fire place just in case it rained. I wanted to be prepared and have it decorated the way I wanted. (It didn't rain it was such a beautiful warm day. There are many beautiful areas to get married outside.) My reception was just as beautiful the tent was lit up so perfectly which also makes for beautiful pictures! The staff were so nice and helpful. Shane was amazing he was so helpful he answered all my questions. He had so many great ideas and he is easy to work with. He has such a great personality and you can tell he really loves what he does. I recommend the Chelsea Sun Inn 1000%

The Chelsea Sun Inn is a gorgeous venue. I spent the weekend for a wedding and loved everything about it. The wedding on the hill was beautiful. Shane and Randy blended in like family, while remaining attentive to our needs. Having the venue to ourselves allowed us to stay up to the wee hours and soak up all the family time we could stand even after the official festivities wound down. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, exploring the beautiful touches of the building, walking the grounds , and sitting on the patio relaxing. To top it off, breakfast in the morning was delicious. Easily one of the best weddings I've attended.

The Chelsea Sun Inn is a gorgeous venue. I spent the weekend for a wedding and loved everything about it. The wedding on the hill was beautiful. Shane and Randy blended in like family, while remaining attentive to our needs. Having the venue to ourselves allowed us to stay up to the wee hours and soak up all the family time we could stand even after the official festivities wound down. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, exploring the beautiful touches of the building, walking the grounds , and sitting on the patio relaxing. To top it off, breakfast in the morning was delicious. Easily one of the best weddings I've attended.

Absolutely LOVE this venue!!! I had booked the venue sight unseen from Texas! Yes, I did have friends and family do some “drive-byes and stop-in’s” for me and between their pictures and working with the general manager, Shane, I was hooked!! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful with so many great spots for pictures and natural landscape you can’t go wrong! The staff treated everyone like family and worked with every request I had, even if it was a bit off the wall ... shout out to Randy who took every question with a huge smile. Booking a venue for your wedding is stressful enough but fully entrusting one persons hopes and dreams into another’s vision is something entirely different: and after it all I can say with no doubt the best wedding I’ve ever been to was my own! Guests and vendors raved about the venue!

Wow, what an amazingly perfect, beautiful dream come true wedding! We were married 05/18/19 and chose to have the ceremony and reception outdoors and the staff at Chelsea Sun Inn, are the most attentive staff you could ever hope for! I highly recommend hiring and utilizing their personal staff as servers/bartenders. They never said no. If I had a problem or a last minute change, I was able to fully rely on them. They gave me their personal cell phone numbers and made it easy to stay in touch. 5 minutes before the wedding started I realized the mother’s/grandmothers didn’t have their corsages! Unable to get a hold of anyone in my group, Shane not only saved the day and made sure they received them, but took a picture of the ladies and I that ended up being one of my favorite behind the scenes photos! When the buffet room was set up with round tables and our caterer (also the grooms brother) asked if we could have rectangular tables instead, the staff within 10 minutes were buzzing around making it happen!! It’s obvious they all work extremely well with each other! We had so many friends and family tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever attended, and that our atmosphere ended up being so fun, relaxed and laid back, it felt like one big happy family! People were free to mingle, visit the gorgeous view on top of the big hill, and we even had quite a few guests with young kids who were able to play games in the grass, keep busy and have fun without disturbing anybody. We even had a few guests take advantage of the pool and outdoor hot tub as the reception was winding down, which again, added a whole new element to our celebration!!! As I sit back and reflect on our day, I have no complaints, zero. It truly was a dream come true! Thank you Chelsea Sun Inn and all the staff for making this day the most memorable day of my life! You all made us feel like family, we could joke around with you guys and you made it feel we’ve known you forever and we feel truly blessed to have found you guys!!
