Chester County History Center Reviews
Amy Maurice(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-09-2017 Our wedding at CCHS was beautiful! Cyndi was our coordinator, and she was super helpful and responsive to all our questions. I love that this venue is unique and right in town, and across the street from Hotel Warner. Highly recommend! Reviewed on 19-09-2017
Joyce Hoffman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-07-2012 I stumbled upon The Chester County Historical Society when looking for a location that would host my wedding ceremony only as I had already located my reception site (though they will host receptions as well). CCHS is a unique location, and we received many complements on our ceremony choice. Our guests were provided free access to their museum both before and after our wedding, which gave our guests something to do while our photographer took pictures of us following the ceremony. My reception location didn’t allow dogs, so I was searching for a ceremony location that would allow dogs. Though they don’t normally allow dogs, they made an exception for me and allowed my two dogs to participate in my wedding ceremony, which meant so much to me. It is also reasonably priced and very accommodating. They were willing to remove photos and curtains if we wished. They provided us with room upstairs where we could get ready with our families and wedding party. We were even allowed the use of their kitchen. We held our ceremony in the auditorium and held our ceremony on the stage. They even have audio-visual capabilities, which we took advantage of – we incorporated a slide show into our ceremony, which was a hit. We are very grateful to Melinda for seeking permission for us to include our dogs. She also did a wonderful job with our slide show, which was the one aspect of our wedding that we thought could go wrong. Melinda controlled the lights and projector, and made sure that the ceremony went off flawlessly. The slide show was the most memorable part of our wedding, and we cannot thank Melinda enough for the wonderful job that she did and for making our ceremony a success. We couldn’t have been happier with our ceremony. You can’t find a more unique and accommodating venue than The Chester County Historical Society. Reviewed on 19-10-2012
