We are so happy we had our wedding at Chestnut Ridge. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff did an amazing job setting up for our wedding day bringing our vision to life- they have a great staff that makes this happen and it is well worth every penny. We wanted a venue that was in the mountains with a special ceremony spot that could be closed off in the event of rain. Chestnut Ridge was the perfect venue for what we were looking for and even includes spaces for the girls and guys to get ready with so many great picture spot options. We highly recommend this venue and their full team!

We are so happy we had our wedding at Chestnut Ridge. My husband and I knew we wanted to get married somewhere close to home but in the mountains which led us to this beauty. While we had multiple other venue tours setup, this was the first one we had went to and I instantly fell in love. I told him that I didn’t want to get married anywhere else. This venue was absolutely breathtaking; from the views to its modern farmhouse style. We received so many compliments throughout the night about how beautiful our wedding venue was, which was very appreciative. From the beginning of wedding planning Chestnut Ridge was very proactive in communication. Once I got my wedding planner 60 days out ( which was a saving Grace ) , everything ran smoothly for me as she was doing all the behind the scenes things that I didn’t have time for. Emily was the absolute sweetest and I’d 100% have her as my wedding planner again. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone getting married in the area! My wedding day was honestly a dream come true.

My husband and I got married here October of 2022 and started planning our wedding the summer of 2021. From the very beginning Taylor and the Chestnut Ridge Team were welcoming, transparent, and so helpful! We were planning our wedding from CO as we are Asheville natives- scheduling calls with vendors and not being in the same state was a challenge, but the CR Team helped in everyway possible and worked around our schedule to ensure everything was moving smoothly throughout our planning process. As a very indecisive bride, they understood my likes and dislikes and helped narrow it down to a vision. Based on that vision they were also able to refer vendors that matched my style perfectly. They answered all the questions and concerns I had throughout the year leading up to the big day and helped keep me level headed when planning was becoming stressful. The day of could not have been more perfect or ran any smoother. These girls are a well oiled machine and have everything down to a science to ensure the day is amazing. The crew set up our ceremony and reception area better than I could have ever imagined with no help from myself- I was able to relax and enjoy getting ready with the girls feeling comfortable the team had it handled- and boy did they ever! I might be biased- but it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen and I owe it all to the CR Family. I kept waiting for a fire the day of and there never was one! They handled absolutely everything and there is nothing I would change about the day. I could not recommend this venue and the group enough!

Chestnut Ridge is an incredible venue! Absolutely gorgeous up in the mountains. The ceremony space, cocktail space, and reception space are breathtaking. She also made the wedding day run so smoothly as she took care of any issues and ensured everything was taken care of exactly how we wanted (I don’t even know if there were any issues because they were never brought to my attention because she took care of it). I highly recommend this venue and staff to anyone looking in western NC as everything about the day was perfect for my wife, myself, and all of our guests!

Everything was executed exactly how I wanted it and it was truly a magical day. All vendors were continuously communicated with and all set 30 days out! My planner was there every step of the way and she is a sweetheart. Taylor was also wonderful with communication and Maddy was amazing with anything I needed pertaining to the bar. Every single aspect of Chestnut Ridge is what wedding dreams are made of. From the breathtaking surrounding mountain scenery, to the absolutely stunning venue itself, and last but certainly not least, the wonderful people behind the scenes working countless hours to make their couples’ wedding dreams a reality. We knew from the moment that we discovered Chestnut Ridge online and then toured in person, that it would be the place where we would start our journey together as husband and wife. From start to finish, and every single day of the 999 days in between, the CR team was nothing short of amazing. Taylor, the owner & creator of CR and all that it stands for, went above and beyond on more occasions than I can count. From carving out time in her busy schedule to have an hour+ long conversation with my now husband and I as we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding day, to being present from beginning to end on our wedding day to not only make sure our bridal party was comfortable, but to also to help finalize ceremony design details and to help clean up at the end of the night. She literally does it all, and every single effort that she made, big or small, to make our wedding journey perfect, did not go unnoticed. Maloree, our go-to-girl of CR planning, was truly one of a kind and was certainly more than we could have ever wished for. Her positive personality is infectious and made a difficult wedding planning journey (thanks COVID) as easy as could be given the circumstances. Her open communication and her attention to every single detail exceeded all of our expectations and were the reason our wedding vision became a reality. Maddy, the lead CR bar babe, was beyond responsive to our bar inquiries. Her expertise helped us curate the perfect drink selection & made sure our guests glasses were never empty on our wedding day. Our guests could not compliment Chestnut Ridge enough, and clearly, I could go on and on forever about this dreamy venue and the wonderful people who make it all happen. If I could relive my wedding day a million times over, I would, and it is all thanks to this one-of-a-kind venue & staff.

I can not say enough good things about this amazing wedding venue! The day we pulled up to tour this wedding venue I knew it was the perfect place to say I Do to my best friend!Maloree from the beginning was well organized and very put together! She made it easy for my mom and I to commit to this wedding venue!When we set our date for December of 2020, little did we know we were going to be faced with a National pandemic I would be known as a “covid bride”. Taylor the owner of Chestnut did an amazing job of keeping up with the CDC guidelines and making sure that al of the CR brides were well informed of any changes that may impact our special day. I will never forget the day after thanksgiving on Black Friday Brandon and I had a very long time phone call with Taylor and our wedding planner Maloree one hat we should do about our wedding that was coming up with CoVid numbers increasing. They were honest with us and helped us make a decision that turned out to be the best decision for all. Maloree contacted all of our vendors with dates that were still available in the summer and then sent me an email saying all your vendors are available on these dates and it was up to us to chose which one. She handled all communication for us with our vendors and had everything perfect leading up to our new date!This venue and the staff lived up to every expectation I had as a Bride and I could not be more thankful! Maloree thank you so much for all the hard work you put into my wedding day to make it amazing and special in every way! I can not say thank you enough for everything!

If I could give Chestnut Ridge 100 stars, I would. To start, this venue is breathtaking and every detail of this venue was thoughtfully planned. Both the bridal suite and the groomsmen suite are full of amenities that make getting ready relaxing and fun for BOTH parties. Not to mention the the views are out-of-this-world. So many guests told me that this was the most beautiful wedding venue they had every seen. Not only was the venue stunning, but the team at Chestnut Ridge go above and beyond for their couples. Planning a wedding in COVID times was stressful and chaotic at times. Regardless, these ladies made sure to give me reassurance and support every step of the way. There were several curveballs and last minute things that popped up along the planning process and these girls were organized and on-the-ball every step of the way. Maloree, my planner at Chestnut Ridge, was an absolute rockstar. She was super organized, so sweet, and was on top of every detail. I couldn't have done it without her! I am so grateful for this amazing team and for the experience I had at Chestnut Ridge.

Maloree is an absolute gem, and I seriously cannot recommend her enough. Girlfriend is on it and so talented. She was incredibly responsive and organized and has the cutest personality probably ever. The venue itself is stunning and beautiful even with no decor. I knew after my tour I HAD to get married there. No other place even compares in my opinion. My guests absolutely raved about the venue and said it was the best they had seen. They truly made me feel like a million bucks wedding day, and I trusted them whole heartedly to execute my vision. They did not disappoint. This place will always hold a special place in my heart. I love the CR ladies. My wedding day was absolutely PERFECT.

Chestnut is the absolute best! Kayla, my planner, was so helpful from day one and is very organized, attentive, professional. She is passionate about her job and it shows! CR has beautiful Mountain View’s and the entire venue is so detailed and beautiful! High recommend and worth every dollar!

Chestnut is the absolute best! Kayla, my planner, was so helpful from day one and is very organized, attentive, professional. She is passionate about her job and it shows! CR has beautiful Mountain View’s and the entire venue is so detailed and beautiful! High recommend and worth every dollar!

We had the pleasure of working with Maloree as our planner who nailed our style and vision from day one! Maloree is so sweet and went above and beyond on numerous occasions to answer our questions, send us suggestions, and help with anything we needed. I cannot say enough great things about the staff at Chestnut Ridge. The venue itself is absolutely GORGEOUS at any one of the year, Taylor really did think of everything when she designed both the ceremony and reception spaces. As a COVID bride who had to push back our wedding 6 days before our original date, I thought this would be a nightmare, however, Taylor and her team actually found dates that worked for every single one of my vendors for a new date. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and I highly suggest using their decor closet for your big day. I truly felt like a guest at my own wedding and the stress of wedding planning was taken away with everything being included at the venue. It's a truly jaw dropping venue and was designed to perfection down to the bridal suite and the grooms den. We had the best experience and had so many compliments from our wedding guests. I cannot recommend them enough and am so thankful that my husband and I got to use their venue for our wedding!

Covid brides listen up! Your dream wedding can still happen with every beautiful detail you have been imagining. I got married on 7/11/20 and as I'm sure all of you know planning was STRESSFUL. I was trying to do everything by myself and had multiple vendors cancel on me. I thought I was going to have to cancel my wedding but sent a last minute email to Chestnut Ridge praying they would be able to help me out... Let me tell you, my prayers were answered! I talked to the owner, Taylor, on the phone and she was so sweet and understanding of all the stress I had been going through with Covid. She invited my fiancé and I to come and take a tour. Needless to say we were absolutely blown away by all of the natural beauty CR has to offer! Maloree was assigned to be my wedding planner and immediately I knew I (FINALLY) didn't have to stress any longer. Maloree was so on top of everything and I got to relax, pop the champagne and soak in all of the beautiful dreams that were coming to life. When we arrived the day of the wedding I could hardly believe it.... EVERYTHING. WAS. PERFECT. CR put so much thought into the smallest details. Maloree was right by my side to make sure the timeline was seamless and attend to any needs I had. Do yourself a favor and give them a ring. 2020 can still be your year!

We researched venues and Chestnut Ridge was the first on our list. As soon as we pulled up to the venue, we knew this would be the place we would get married. The views of the mountains are breathtaking. The venue alone doesn’t even need to be decorated for a wedding because it is that beautiful. You can tell that Taylor did a lot of research when building her venue. Besides the venue, Taylor has put together the best team of preferred vendors. They made planning an out of town wedding so easy. They were always available to answer any questions that we had. They also post so much on social media which was very helpful to get ideas and make decisions on what I wanted when planning the wedding since I was not local. All of our guests said it was the most amazing venue and wedding they have ever been to. They made sure every detail was taken care of and made the wedding day go smoothly. Taylor has really outdone herself - this venue is nothing shy of perfection! Nestled up right outside of Asheville, NC - we found our DREAM wedding venue. There was not one detail that went unnoticed when crafting CR. When working with Taylor and the Chestnut Ridge family, our wedding day vision became a reality!The very first time we had seen the venue - it was pouring down rain. Even with the less than ideal weather, we fell in love! We knew in that moment that if we loved the venue this much on a rainy day, that a warm fall day would be out of this world. We loved the fact that the girls were spoiled in the Bridal Suite, that allowed us to have our own BEAUTIFUL space to relax and get ready in, while the boys enjoyed the Groom's Den after they participated in Shoot Skeeting on site that morning. The ceremony pavilion gives the feel of a chapel with the gorgeous pews, and is so simple, yet elegantly crafted. The cocktail hour and back patio are perfect spots for guests to enjoy throughout the day, and the reception area is STUNNING! We loved that we got to bring our family (from Pittsburgh, PA) to our new home in NC. It became a \"destination\" wedding - if you will. Chestnut Ridge allowed us to bring everyone together, and keep us in one place for the entire event, which was a huge plus for us! From the moment we arrived at Chestnut Ridge to the time we hit the buses to head home after our sendoff, the day was flawless. The entire staff, including Maloree (huge shout out!) went above and beyond to ensure every single person in the wedding party and family were well taken care of. The team made it such a breeze, and we did not worry about a single thing throughout the day. Thank you to Taylor, Maloree, and the rest of the CR Family who made our wedding day literal perfection! Chestnut Ridge is a beautiful venue, unfortunately that is it. You are paying for the barn, tables and chairs. It was brought to my attention from a guest at the wedding there were some dirty chairs which was very disappointing to us. What you’re not getting with this venue is any sort of communication. We booked with Chestnut Ridge in June of 2018, after booking there were many changes which were not communicated to us. These included no longer offering fireworks to more than 1 bride a month. We were very disappointing to learn this as we were looking forward to the traditional fireworks, instead we were able to use the fountain fireworks. The fountain fireworks were also beautiful but not what we had originally hoped for. After booking the venue, they had sent us home with recommendations for vendors which we choose including our rental company. We had signed a contract and put a deposit down for us to learn at our 60 day walk through from our planner that Taylor now charges a fee to use that company. This caused a bunch of stress and was not fixed until 10 days before our wedding day when she did waive the fee for using the company. But through all the back and forth we still ended up with two rental companies and paying two delivery fees. We were extremely disappointed about the fireworks as it was one of the reasons we choose the venue. During our 6 month walk through we were brought on a tour since that’s what they thought we were there for. Our families flew into town for our Chestnut Ridge employee not to even know we were booked already. Wedding day I did not receive any hello from the owner Taylor but instead asked about a check. Ironic since it took her well over the contracted 5 days for her to return our security deposit. On wedding day there was another bride’s tour/walk through/rehearsal, I can’t be sure what but it took away from us feeling like it was our special day.The lack of communication we experienced cause a lot of stress in planning our wedding day.

Taylor gave us our initial tour and it was clear how much work that her and her family had put into the venue. They thought of every detail and have so much pride for their space. The chapel is gorgeous - those windows at the front! The porch, back patio, and grounds are stunning. And the event barn is beyond perfect - from the wooden beams and fireplaces, to the farmhouse tables, to the amazing bar area, to the beautiful and comfortable bride and groom suites. My husband and I wanted a destination wedding in Asheville, and the minute we arrived at the top of the mountain and saw Chestnut Ridge, we knew it was were we meant to get married. Aside from the beauty of the Chestnut Ridge, it has so much to offer. Taylor and her husband built this venue with love and paid attention to every single detail with brides and grooms in mind. With this being a destination wedding it was so helpful to have a venue that had a decor closet, because we didn't have to pack up decorations and bring to Asheville. Hands down, the best part of CR was the people. Taylor and her team were always responsive and thinking about things that I would never think of. In the 14 months of planning, there wasn't one time I felt overwhelmed or stressed, because Taylor had it covered. We did the all-inclusive package and I think every bride needs this! CR and the vendors have such a strong network that we never worried about the communication/coordination between them all. I highly recommend Chestnut Ridge to any couple because they made our wedding dreams come to life!!

I could not have dreamed up a more picturesque wedding than April 13th, 2019 at Chestnut Ridge in Canton, NC. My husband is from Nashville, TN and my family is from Greensboro, NC we wanted to meet in the middle and hold our ceremony near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Luckily, I didn’t have to search for venues very long…one look at Chestnut Ridge and I was immediately sold! We called and booked the only spring date left on the schedule before ever visiting the property, sometimes when you know, you just know! Chestnut Ridge is more than just a beautiful venue, when you become a CR bride you become part of the family. I am forever grateful for my all-inclusive team, thanks to you guys my husband and I were able to relax and soak in every minute of our big day, knowing all the details were in good hands. Chestnut Ridge is like a dream! I always wanted to get married in a white chapel and didn't want to have to worry about the weather. So, this was the perfect location. I love the outdoor and indoor accommodations this venue offers. All of my guests commented on the beauty of the property! Taylor and the entire staff were very helpful, kind, and accommodating. I knew I wanted to get married there the first time I saw it. My wedding day was perfect. It was beautiful and sunny all day, and when the rain came later that night we were able to move the DJ inside and keep the party going without skipping a beat. I love everything about this venue and would definitely recommend it!

You want it, they got it or can help you find it. The venue itself is perfect, I know there are tons of spaces out there and they are probably all very nice, but we can't imagine a better set up. From the moment of booking to our wedding day – Chestnut Ridge was on top of the game. They are the best of the best. Taylor is very organized, provides efficient and effective communication for any planning, ideas, questions, is so extremely flexible for planning visits, and hospitable in every way. Some huge benefits to us about Chestnut Ridge were the all in one ceremony and reception location, the fact that you get access as early as 9am with both bridal and groom suites (not to mention they are FABULOUS to spend your day of in), it includes chairs and beautiful farmhouse tables (you can’t beat those), the décor closet (HOLY COW! You barely need to buy any décor items it has you covered!), the covered pavilion gave us a peace of mind that if it rained it would be incredibly beautiful and stress free regardless, and just how beautiful the venue is period. On the day of our wedding the Chestnut Ridge staff went above and beyond with helping set up, direct guests, checking in with the wedding party, and ensuring that all went smoothly throughout the entire day and night and they were so so wonderful at all of this. We seriously are going to miss visiting this beautiful place so much and miss interacting with Taylor, Preston, and the CR staff because we enjoyed it so much. I’m telling you Chestnut Ridge has it all between the staff and the venue itself, you will not go wrong with choosing to spend one of the most special and biggest days of your life here!

We signed our contract for the venue 8 months before the venue was completed and at the time it was only just the beginning of construction. I was a little hesitant at first but they were so great to work with and we trusted their vision. Chestnut Ridge turned out to be more amazing than I had ever imagined and if we could do our wedding 100 times over I would choose Chestnut ridge every time. Thank you Taylor and the rest of the staff for making sure our wedding was a dream come true!

Chestnut Ridge was beyond anything we could have imagined for our wedding. The facilities are beautiful, the staff is incredible, and the hospitality is top notch. Taylor and Preston did an amazing job with making sure this venue was perfect. Thrilled to have found this venue! The location is out of this world! Taylor (Venue Manager) has been amazing to work with and the farm has everything I envisioned for my wedding day! The all inclusive package is the way to go because these vendors are rockstars, I have loved working with everyone! We can't wait for the big day this fall!

Taylor (director and owner) has been incredible at keeping us updated though the construction process and has been responsive and readily available throughout our planning. So far all of our planning as been relatively stress free thanks to Chestnut Ridge's packages and their great list of preferred vendors. We cannot wait for our ceremony and reception on their beautiful property! We could not be more pleased.

Although I have not actually had my wedding yet, I can honestly tell you that this venue and those who work here are amazing. We booked this location when their we hardly any walls up, and it has been great to see all of the development. Taylor is so easy to work with and will respond to emails quickly. They have made this whole process easier and I could not ask for a better place to get married.

Taylor & Preston Gregg (Owner) On the same farm that now is home to Chestnt Ridge, Taylor and Preston were married on the rolling heals of the mountainside in August of 2011. When their dreams far surpassed their wildest expectations, they always knew that one day they'd help others happily-ever-after come true for years and years. What started on a scratch sheet of paper 5 years ago is now coming to life, and the owners of Chestnut Ridge couldn't be more excited to share it with you.
