My husband and I got married on October 1st, 2022, at The Chez Hotel. Our experience with The Chez was wonderful! We worked with Michelle for the event coordination, and she was amazing! Michelle is professional, kind and patient. Whenever we had a question, she was quick to respond. During contract negotiations, Michelle was fair with the terms of the agreement, and we never felt bullied during our conversations with her. She calmed our nerves leading up to the big day, and made sure that all the events ran smoothly the day of. She is one of a kind, and we cannot say enough good things about her!The Chez Hotel itself is also a beautiful venue to host an event. Our guests were impressed with the unique design of the space. In addition, The Chez offers all-in-one packages that include food/drink/décor/etc. By using The Chez for multiple services, we were able to reduce the number of vendors we needed to search for/engage with; which ultimately reduced stress and work for us.We would absolutely recommend The Chez Hotel to anybody looking for a great venue to host an event!

From when we starting planning the wedding (September 2020) up through the day itself, Michelle's communication was on point. We had gone in several times and looked at other venues, but the pricing, quality of food and what was all included at this venue was the best choice for us. If i had to say anything disappointed us, we were told the hotel portion of the venue would be completed in time for our wedding and it wasn't. In our contract we were guaranteed a suite on the wedding night, so the Chez actually paid for a night of ours at another hotel to live up to their end of the contract. All in all, it was not a deal breaker as there are plenty of hotels in the area if it's still not completed when you read this. On the wedding day itself the staff was incredible, they had a lot of people in there working every table and the bartenders were fast and efficient. The food was exactly as what we had tasted and the service for all of our guest was top notch. I would highly recommend the sweets table and a meat hut if you can add it onto your day. They use a few bakeries and everyone was drawn to the meat hut especially for how unique it is. The white dance floor with our initials and the flower wall made things look very nice and detailed to our liking. To those claiming you can hear music from another wedding if you have only half of the room, we heard nothing at all from one that was going on at the same time. If you are reading reviews and trying to decide on a venue like we did, this venue will NOT disappoint. We had been to enough weddings in the suburban area and this place will give you the best bang for your buck. Michelle, Kristyna and Payton all did an amazing job with any questions or concerns we had. Let them take care of your big day, you won't be let down!

We had our wedding here on 05-15-22. We were supposed to be married 05-07-22 but we got Covid the week of our wedding. The venue couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding in helping us reschedule even though contractually they didn’t have to. From the start of our planning process to the the finish we felt very well taken care of and communication was great from the venue. Anything we needed they provided and assured us along the way our day would be special and we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing. They delivered, our day was amazing. The staff and service was great, the food and drinks were amazing, and our setup was beautiful and the prices were some of the best we found. I highly recommend having your event here!

Wonderful people! We had our wedding here this month. Though we originally had some issues with one of the former staff members, Michelle ensured that we were provided lovely amenities as compensation to be certain that we would still have a wonderful time. The food was incredible and they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The space was absolutely beautiful and our cake was decorated so spectacularly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Michelle and the rest of the staff. Our wedding was absolutely incredibly, and we are very grateful we had it at The Chez.

We would not recommend this venue to an enemy. Contracts mean nothing to this establishment, they are not capable of handling two weddings simultaneously, and they mistreat you as soon as you pay the deposit. Also, Chez is terribly difficult to communicate with during the planning process. For anyone considering this place, PLEASE TAKE OUR ADVICE AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE. 1.\tA few weeks after paying the deposit and signing the contract, which permitted for select payments to be made using a credit card, the owner, Kristiana (phonetic spelling), insisted that despite what the contract specified, she changed her mind and now insisted that all payments be made in cash or check. She told us that she was being sued by another couple and did not want to \"take the risk \" anymore. We tried to remain calm and explain that the contract said otherwise, but we grew frustrated and she was insistent. So we left with an ultimatum from her to either cancel the contract, and get refunded, or pay in cash. Luckily, she eventually changed her mind.2.\tWhen we came to deliver the final check to the venue, after having an invoice from them specifying what the total amount should be, we encountered the owner again who insisted one of the amounts was incorrect. After discussing how unprofessional and dishonest the change in cost was, she finally acknowledged the listed invoice price was their mistake but insisted we pay them more money. Eventually, she attempted to guilt-trip us by telling us the difference would be taken from an employee's check. 3.\tOn the wedding day, we toured the room a few hours before the reception. We then realized while we paid for a full wall curtain, there was only a small curtain set up along the wall. This was frustrating because we had previously shown the Chez through pictures of other weddings at their venue how we wanted the wall behind the head table to look. What we saw in the room early that afternoon was not what was discussed. Also, the final invoice clearly specified that we paid for a full wall curtain. Before we headed to the ceremony, I asked our planners and day-of-coordinators to talk to the Chez. I found out the Chez was not only insistent that we had not paid for the full wall curtain and rude to our coordinators but had also been rude to the decorator. Apparently, they realized their mistake because a longer curtain was in the room when we made our entrance for the reception, unfortunately, it still was not a full wall curtain nor did it look like what we had shown them previously. 4. I asked one of the bridesmaids to hang my reception dress in the room which the Chez previously had shown me that I could change in. However, the bridesmaid told me that the employee put her finger in her face and told her that it had already been given to the other wedding party the Chez was hosting. While they market themselves as a venue capable of hosting two weddings at once, they only have one dressing room, you can hear the music from the other wedding reception through the shared wall, and they are short-staffed and unprofessional with guests – even the bride. We ended up changing in the office which has a door that locks when closed -- even if you are inside. Clearly a safety concern!5. There was no soap in the women’s bathroom during the reception. This is appalling at any time, but especially so during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We got married on November 20, 2020, and they were amazing. We did not have any guests at our wedding, just our officiant, photographer, and our Zoom person. They did so much to accommodate for us, and they even packed up our guests dinners so we can distribute it to them later that night. We had to make a lot of changes due to COVID, but they were able to make adjustments for us and make our wedding night beautiful. The planning process was very painless with them, the main thing is that they did not answer emails promptly sometimes. Otherwise, the staff was awesome. My husband James and I had our wedding reception at European Crystal and it was phenomenal!! Absolutely fantastic, amazing, over-the- top, and beautiful service and management! The owner Krystyna went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect for us and our guests! The food was delicious, high quality, and fresh. The room was beautifully decorated, and the entrance/lobby was just so beautiful with the white and black marble flooring and gorgeous grand staircase and gold accents! The whole banquet hall was very clean and had very modern, warm, and elegant setting and architecture! It was picture perfect! Thank you Krystyna, Anna, and Tiffany for making our day perfect! Very highly recommended for any events!!

The owner Krystyna went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect for us and our guests! The food was delicious, high quality, and fresh. The room was beautifully decorated, and the entrance/lobby was just so beautiful with the white and black marble flooring and gorgeous grand staircase and gold accents! I am so happy that we chose to have our reception at European Crystal. The price was perfect and the venue was AMAZING! We had 230 people and there was enough space for everyone to get around. The dance floor was never empty and the food and cake (which is included in the price) was top notch! We cannot wait to celebrate our anniversary here for many years to come.

I am so happy that we chose to have our reception at European Crystal. The price was perfect and the venue was AMAZING! We had 230 people and there was enough space for everyone to get around. The dance floor was never empty and the food and cake (which is included in the price) was top notch! We cannot wait to celebrate our anniversary here for many years to come.

We are reaching out to venders to get more information. James Cazares at this venue decided to insult and curse at me via email. We are not using this facility. I am sure it is pretty, but we couldn't even set up a tour, because the Manager was too busy being rude. I do not think Brides deserve to be treated this way. If you work with them, beware of which wedding associate you work with. Try to avoid this man to have a successful experience.

Michelle was our coordinator and she was great on our wedding day. She worked well with our DJ and photographer and videographer. She kept checking up on my husband and I the whole night so that was nice of her. My family and friends complimented the details of the venue like the high ceilings and the spacious ballroom. We also received compliments about their food which was delicious especially their filet mignon. Michelle and the team were helpful with making sure everything went according to plan and that everyone was well served. I highly recommend them for weddings!

Michelle was our coordinator and she was great on our wedding day. She worked well with our DJ and photographer and videographer. Everything about the European Crystal was so perfect for our Wedding day!! The pricing was incredibly competitive and the location was breathtaking. They had everything set up exactly how I wanted it to be. The staff was very friendly and attentive .The lighting and scenery was perfect and made for some gorgeous pictures.I loved that you could adjust the various lights to get the perfect lighting. If I had to do over again I’d still choose European Crystal in a heartbeat! Our wedding day was flawless and everything we imagined it would be!

Everything about the European Crystal was so perfect for our Wedding day!! The pricing was incredibly competitive and the location was breathtaking. They had everything set up exactly how I wanted it to be. The staff was very friendly and attentive .The lighting and scenery was perfect and made for some gorgeous pictures.I loved that you could adjust the various lights to get the perfect lighting. If I had to do over again I’d still choose European Crystal in a heartbeat! Our wedding day was flawless and everything we imagined it would be!

Our wedding was a few months ago but I'm just now getting time to review all our vendors. European Crystal Banquets was the perfect place for me and my Husband to have our reception. Not only does the place look beautiful on the inside, but the staff and coordinators are amazing. Anna helped me go through all the little details of planning a 300 people wedding and was such a great help on my wedding day. The whole planning was stress free and on the day of the wedding they were always checking on me and my husband making sure we had everything we needed. They really made me feel special and made my day unforgettable. The workers that day were so kind to use and to our guest as well. The venue is beautiful and clean as well. Our guests still talk about the food especially the main course we had a filet & shrimp combination as well as the sushi river for our late night snack. I would definitely recommend this place for any wedding. THANK YOU!!!

From the first meeting we had with Anna, we knew we wanted this to be the hall. Working with Anna and her team at European has been nothing but the best thing we could have asked for, she made everything so easy and stress free. She is amazing and knows what she is doing and will work her hardest to make your vision come true. She worked with us, listed to us and did everything she could to make everything we wanted happen and even had her own great ideas to help us out. The food and cake were beyond tasty everything was so amazing, all the guests loved our food including us. From the moment I walked into the hall on my wedding day I filled with tears from happiness when I saw the amazing job Anna and her team did to our hall, from the floor sticker, the guest tables and the sweetheart table everything was just as I pictured it to be. I had my wedding ceremony and reception here. And I have to say that it was the best decision my husband and I made. I originally had wanted to have my wedding in downtown Chicago for a special Chicago themed wedding... but, while looking at the Knot App, I noticed this venue was coming up a lot. So it was the first place we saw. We were blown away and so impressed with how professional and outstanding Anna Nava was. She was so welcoming and she was so passionate about what she does. The day of the wedding I was so happy on how she did everything... if I continue on it’ll be a book. Needless to say, I loved everything about having my wedding here. It was more than perfect.

I had my wedding reception at European Crystal Banquets on August 19th 2017. Me and my husband met with Anna about a year before our big day. We booked this banquet hall for many reasons:- Location- convenient, close to the highway with a ton of hotels surrounding it. Big parking lot.- Space - Our reception was in the grand ballroom. I fell in love with the space because of how classy it was. I was able to envision my decor and set up right away because of the neutral tones. Ceilings are very high and grand. - Food & Alcohol - The quality of food and alcohol was extremely important to me and my family. After our tasting Anna made sure that we were completely satisfied with the menu and was patiently helping me whenever I wanted to change something. She gave me a ton of great advice and suggestions. Alcohol was top shelf and that was a huge plus!- Service - Not only Anna but the whole staff at European Crystal Banquets was nothing but helpful and friendly. The day of our wedding, Anna was there the entire time making sure that everything was perfect. I saw her running around and fixing minor details that I'm sure only me and her would notice. Dinner was served hot and on time. Me and my husband, as well as our Guests, had a wonderful time. I had my wedding and reception at European Crystal Banquets on July 2, 2016. Anna was our coordinator for the event and she was very helpful and nice. I totally recommend her! But the owner/manager is very rude. She planned a wedding the same night as our wedding last minute and called to let us know that we might want to make our time earlier. Also, at our rehearsal she kept rushing us. And on the date of the wedding, she told all our guest that they could just leave the ceremony space for cocktail hour when there was supposed to be an order in dismissal. My experience was amazing but for our wedding planners, she was a major headache. This place is beautiful, has great food, great price, and nice wedding coordinators like Anna Nava, but the owner only cares about money and is really rude. So just be very vocal about your coordinator being at everything you have there because you don't want the owner to show up!!! She is a jerk!

Spectacular Venue! We had our reception on 9/10/16. Michelle and her team went above and beyond to create a magical wedding reception. We live in Hawaii and we have family in Chicago therefore we decided to have our wedding reception in European Crystal. Planning a wedding is quite challenging especially when you cannot physically be there to discuss all the details. Michelle and Anna made it quite easy by contacting us and helping us make decisions. We trusted their professional opinion and the reception turned out just as we imagined. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The food was delicious and was served quickly even though we had some last minute special requests. The sweet table was incredible with a variety of pastries, fruit and chocolate. We highly recommend this venue!! We thank all of you at EC for your hard work and making this a very memorable and stress-free evening.

We live in Hawaii and we have family in Chicago therefore we decided to have our wedding reception in European Crystal. Planning a wedding is quite challenging especially when you cannot physically be there to discuss all the details. Michelle and Anna made it quite easy by contacting us and helping us make decisions. We trusted their professional opinion and the reception turned out just as we imagined. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The food was delicious and was served quickly even though we had some last minute special requests. The sweet table was incredible with a variety of pastries, fruit and chocolate. We highly recommend this venue!! We thank all of you at EC for your hard work and making this a very memorable and stress-free evening.

We booked a wedding with this reception hall last year. At time of booking were told we could have room \"A\"; when our count dropped they moved us into room \"B\" without notice. (Read other reviews on Knot, Facebook or Google and you see that this has happened to brides/grooms before.) Very unprofessional...but at this point they have you though...you can argue with them...but for them it is all about who has more butts in seats versus honoring their commitment. I wish I had read all the reviews before we booked.

After visiting SIXTEEN different venues we settled on European Crystal and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Karen was simply amazing to work with and really had a lot of incite on having a wedding and offered advice on things we never would have thought about. For what you get, the price is unbeatable! Karen helped us establish our menu, gave suggestions on pairings of sides with entrees (the roasted potatoes she suggested were definitely a hit with our guests!), and gave some great ideas on decor. European Crystal we very flexible with our one site wedding rehearsal and allowed us more than enough time during the week leading up to the event to get into the space and do a ton of set up. They even let us leave our flower arrangement in their cooler so that looked impeccable on the day of the event. Karen was also very flexible with allowing us to get a cake from an outside vendor and comping us for the uplights we wanted instead. The day of, the meal was excellent several of our guest raved about the food. The appetizers were also excellent. We received a lot of feedback from guests wanted the beef skewers as a meal! Our photographer couldn't believe the food was not catered which is impressive for someone who attends TONS of weddings. The dinner service went off without a hitch! During the reception was had some uninvited guests occasionally enter our space and Karen was quick to usher them out which was a really nice touch. She was also accessible throughout the night for any questions that we had. European Crystal definitely earned the gratuity we paid and then some! I would highly recommend Karen and European Crystal to anyone that is looking for an elegant venue with staff that really care about making your wedding day special.

Honestly, the only reason I am giving this a single star is because I have to. The food was decent. However, I have never had such poor service in my life. First of all, the wedding ceremony was only scheduled to last about 10 minutes. As soon as the bride and groom walked out the door the staff immediately came in and started breaking down the tables and rushing everyone out. My 90 year old grandfather with parkinsons uses a walker and they were tripping him by pulling tables out in front of him. Secondly, they do not follow their contracts so be careful here future brides. The wedding was scheduled for 7pm to midnight. However, the venue decided that it wanted to start early at 6 pm. At the time everyone was so rushed and no one thought anything of it. However, in the most unprofessional manner I have ever witnessed, at 11pm the lights in the room suddenly came on and the bar was shuttered. This led to mass confusion amongst the guests and the bride and groom. Now, in my youth I have worked in the service industry, this is NOT the way to handle situations. The bride and groom ended up losing money on both the dj and photobooth, good job european crystal! I will not be using you for my wedding and neither will anyone I know.

We had a great wedding reception at European Crystal Banquets! We worked with EC for quite a while before our actual wedding day. Anna, our coordinator, was hugely helpful and always responded to our emails and phone calls. The venue was also incredibly flexible, adhering to my seating chart accurately and taking care of all the day-of arrangements with materials that we dropped off. They also accommodated food restrictions beautifully for our guests. The venue itself is beautiful, and what we really liked is that there's technically only two ballrooms, which we thought was nice because we wouldn't have to contend with multiple other weddings. I checked with multiple guests and they all raved about their food and the service. The price was also very good, and the lowest of all the venues we looked at (and we looked at probably 30-40 venues in the western suburbs alone). Anna made our experience perfect!!

Best Wedding Venue Ever!!! I can only say great things about European Crystal (EC). My vision for my wedding was to create an event that no one will ever forget. And I am happy to say European Crystal helped me out tremendously in achieving my goal. The professionalism of all the staff, the willingness to help give me my fairy tale wedding, the delicious food created by an outstanding chef and a stunning venue is all any bride could ever ask for from a venue. From the minute you step inside European Crystal's doors, your breath gets taken away, by the beauty of this venue. Next you meet the staff, who are always happy, wonderful and willing to help you. This venue knows how to take care of their customers and guests and they appreciate your business. They're very accommodating and just wonderful people. I cannot thank them enough. It has now been a month since I got married and my guests still keep telling me I had the wedding of the century. They keep raving about the food and this wonderful venue. I'm very sad my day is over, because I'm really going to miss all of the staff at EC.\r\rA little bit about my wedding: I chose the main ballroom, because it has this breathtaking sky painted on the ceiling, along with the most beautiful chandeliers. I had 350 guests that fit very comfortable in this space, plus a 14 piece band and large dance floor. I had 2 bars with 2 bartenders at each. I wanted to have a signature drink to serve all the guests. The staff and bartenders where happy to do it for me. I made sure to make the drink recipe easy for them, since they were so accommodating.\r\rAs for the food: It was delicious! I have a crazy loud Polish family and food is extremely important to them. If something is bad, they are not afraid to voice their opinion right there in front of everyone. However,I didn't have to worry, because everyone loved the food! My guests spoke very highly of their meal. We allowed our guests to chose what kind of dinner they wanted. Their choices were either Filet, Orange Roughy or Chicken Christopher. All were amazing. We chose the Au Gratin Potatoes and a Vegetable Melody to go along with what each guest chose as their main entree. Dinner came with a raspberry sorbet as a pallet cleanser, chicken soup and salad. For dessert each guest received an ice cream sundae (we wanted our wedding cake for the guests to take home). Everyone received a lot of food. But wait, we weren't done. We purchased, for a few extra dollars, per person, an enormous sweet table. Money well spent. The guests just flocked to the table after dinner. They couldn't get enough of the delicious treats. Chef gets an A+. As for the service, the wait staff were very attentive to each one of my guests as well as the head table. They catered to my ever need and made sure my drink and my husband's drink were always full throughout the night. Thank you for treating my guests right.\r\r All in all, my wedding was amazing. I will never forget it and I know my guests won't either. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, from the bottom of my heart European Crystal!

Where do I begin? Well first of all I live in CA but wanted my wedding in Chicago or near Chicago suburbs. I contacted several places in June for a September wedding so you can imagine how many venues told me they had no availability since it was a short notice and on a popular weekend. Well I'm glad this happened because after all the disappointments, I got an opportunity to book our wedding at ECB. Anna was extremely helpful in making my wedding beautiful in every aspect imaginable. Where do I begin? Well first of all I live in CA but wanted my wedding in Chicago or near Chicago suburbs. I contacted several places in June for a September wedding so you can imagine how many venues told me they had no availability since it was a short notice and on a popular weekend. Well I'm glad this happened because after all the disappointments, I got an opportunity to book our wedding at ECB. Anna was extremely helpful in making my wedding beautiful in every aspect imaginable. We had a great wedding reception at European Crystal Banquets! We worked with EC for quite a while before our actual wedding day. Anna, our coordinator, was hugely helpful and always responded to our emails and phone calls. The venue was also incredibly flexible, adhering to my seating chart accurately and taking care of all the day-of arrangements with materials that we dropped off. They also accommodated food restrictions beautifully for our guests. The venue itself is beautiful, and what we really liked is that there's technically only two ballrooms, which we thought was nice because we wouldn't have to contend with multiple other weddings. I checked with multiple guests and they all raved about their food and the service. The price was also very good, and the lowest of all the venues we looked at (and we looked at probably 30-40 venues in the western suburbs alone). Anna made our experience perfect!!

We visited many venues in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. We instantly fell in love with the decor, prices and Anna (Venue Representative) when we went to the venue for the first time. We got married in May of 2015. We had about 250 guests. Overall, we have no regrets and are happy with our choice.\r\rSome tips for the future brides who are considering this venue-\r\rDecoration, Ambiance and Lighting 5/5\r\rLocation 5/5\rClose to many hotels, airport and tourist spots for out of state guests\r \rService 4/5\rAnna was amazing to work with. She is very pleasant and helpful. Sometimes minor details are over looked by the venue. They may find it minor...some brides may not... like using wrong color chair. (Co-incidentally, I went to see the venue an evening before, saw the wrong color and notified them of the color issue. It was fixed) \r\rPrices 3.5/5 (Lots of hidden costs. Plus you may be required to rent certain thing from the venue. You can find linen and lightening cheaper outside. Basically, at the end of the day you are not getting special deal per se).\r\rFood- We catered from outside. Cake was delicious- however options for contemporary cake flavors are limited. \r\rSome hiccups- From day one we requested a type of Whiskey. We sent out a reminder too couple weeks before the wedding. Guest complained that drinks were watered down and the particular whiskey was not available. Plus, our cake decoration was not like we requested and expensive personalized cake topper was missing on the cake. They found it at the end of the event. Limited type of cake flavor are available and very few flavors included in the contract. \r\rLast Advice- get the whole package and \"freebies\" discussed during the meetings in writing in your contract. \r\rWould I recommend this place to my family and friends- Yes!

My fiancé and I loved it when we first visited European Crystal! For a Saturday the prices were very affordable! But it was too good to be true. This business runs on money. They said they \"double booked\" but in reality it was because someone came with more guests than us which meant more money for them. The food is amazing but the service is awful. They are rude and did not accommodate my brother's peanut allergy. They placed cake that was cross contaminated with peanuts on his plate. 7 guest didn't show up they said they would wrap the food and they didn't. I emailed the lady after and she said sorry about your brother and ignored what I said about the food. After your wedding they don't care about what you have to say. If I could do it over, I would not pick this place.

We had our wedding reception here just last weekend. I was very pleased with this venue. We fell in love with it because my husband and I didn't want a HUGE ballroom, we are more of an intimate crowd; so their parlor rooms were great! We used Palo ABC (so the entire space) and it was perfect. It is lower ceilinged, has fire places at both ends, has a pinkish wall, but during the event, I barely even realized it. \r\rWhen my friend told me about this venue, she said that her guests still talked to her abut the food. I see why! We did a combo plate, and it was more than filling and delicious! We had a steak and chicken combo. Steak at weddings is difficult just because of how people like it cooked, but most of guests liked it, and some just said they exchanged steaks with others at their tables to get one that was more/less done. \r\rThey have an on site pastry chef! SO EASY!!!! We didn't have to shop around for cakes! It was daunting at first, because they allow anything as long as it can be made with buttercream. We sent a picture, brought in the ribbon we wanted, and it was delicious and beautiful! \r\rThe service on the night of was great! The head table was taken care of nicely and guests told us they felt like the night was paced well. They didn't take plates before you were done, but they also didn't leave empty plates around too long either. \r\rWe primarily worked with Anna. She was great overall. When we would call or go in, we also met Michelle and Diana. All three were great. As a venue, they were incredible accommodating. Just make sure, somehow, that info you give them gets recorded somewhere. Other than that, you should be in good hands. \r\rHuge plus for this venue: They only charge you for the people that you report are attending. So.... we had some people let us know they couldn't come within the week lading up to our wedding. Instead of just being out that cash, European Crystal allows you to use that money towards something else they offer; so extend your time, sweet table, uplighting, ETC. The people that were no shows the day of, EC packed those dishes up for us to take at the end of the night.

I couldn't recommend European Crystal highly enough. My now-husband and I searched around the Arlington Heights area and previewed at least five different reception venues with no luck, and were almost losing hope until we found European Crystal. The interior is gorgeous, with navy carpeting, huge chandeliers, and a ballroom with sections painted like the sky. We met with Karen, who promised us that she would personally be there every moment of our reception to make sure everything was to our satisfaction (and she was!). The ballroom is so large that we only used half of it while another wedding was next door, and we couldn't hear them over there at all. The food was insanely good; I heard so many compliments from my guests (especially about the steak). Karen was easy to contact and made sure that we got the full value of what we paid, too. (We had significantly fewer guests attend than what we had guaranteed, so she let us reallocate that money toward an amazing dessert and candy bar + another hour of open bar.) If you choose this venue, you will not regret it!

Just wanted to say how pleased me & my husband were with having our reception at European Crystal Banquets, the venue is absolutely gorgeous and the people working there are on a highest level of professionalism. We were very picky about our reception venue and after a long search we are so glad that we chose them, everything that we discussed and planed for was delivered, the food was exceptional and the room looked amazing. One thing that we would do differently now that the wedding is over is to have a cocktail hour inside the room instead of in their beautiful lobby it seems that it would have been more comfortable for our guests. But we really wanted to have a separate space for that and then do the grand entrance. But at the end everything was perfect. Thank you Anna and the whole staff of European Crystal for making our wedding such a memorable one.

I used to drive by European Crystal when it was being built and always said to myself I would get married there. My sister and her fiance checked it out for their wedding, but ended up choosing a different venue. I fell in love with the Parlor Room and Michelle was great! We ended up booking almost a year and a half early, and I will never regret it! Michelle was always more than willing to answer questions and give advice, even though she was on maternity leave for several months. Bringing your decor ahead of time and hoping people can see your vision is stressful, but they blew us away. Since we got married on a Friday and were the only wedding there, we got to use the main table when you walk in for our escort cards. Getting married on a Friday also gave our pocketbooks a break and allowed us to upgrade on the sweet table. All 160 guests loved the food! All 160 people loved the sweet table. The bartenders remembered what you ordered and had it ready when you walked up because they were so aware! Also, top shelf liquor was included in the package which gave them extra points! During the ceremony they played the music we wanted through the Ipad and adjusted the reception room lights to what we wanted with a touch of a button from the office. European Crystal made my dream wedding a reality and I am forever grateful!

Our overall experience with the EC was great. The place is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very friendly! The food is FANTASTIC. We found it to be the best value for our money, and would not have been happy anywhere else! \r\rI didn't rate it 5 stars for the following reasons: Communication was a little slow. It took a few days (sometimes a week) to get a response to emails. They served the wrong pasta - we tasted one, and went with it over the other Veg. dish because it was so good. Then they served something completely different. We also payed for fireworks to go off as we walked in ($150 a piece) and only 1 of them went off..\r\rSmall potatoes, in the grand scheme of things, and I would not have wanted to change a thing!

I had my wedding at European Crystal and cannot say how great this venue is! My coordinator was Michelle and not only did she help me and guided me every step of the way she also became a good friend of mine. After working with her over a year and communicating non stop from phone and email, I knew we would still keep in touch after my wedding.\r The food at my wedding everyone raved about. I chose the filet mignon with chicken christopher. The dessert table was a hit, everyone went for it and ate more than they usuall could, they definitley did not hold back from the dessert table. they really went above and beyond for my wedding. the decor that i picked was like a fairy tale from a magazine. i loved it all. The price I paid for my wedding was a fair deal, if i had this exact same wedding in the city i would have ended up paying double or triple the price. My husband and I had a beautiful day and will always remember our wedding day. Again cannot rave enough about this place, the food, the service, the decor all were outstanding and so happy to of found this place! Highly reccomend this place.

My coordinator was Michelle and not only did she help me and guided me every step of the way she also became a good friend of mine. After working with her over a year and communicating non stop from phone and email, I knew we would still keep in touch after my wedding.\r The food at my wedding everyone raved about. I chose the filet mignon with chicken christopher. The dessert table was a hit, everyone went for it and ate more than they usuall could, they definitley did not hold back from the dessert table. they really went above and beyond for my wedding. the decor that i picked was like a fairy tale from a magazine. i loved it all. The price I paid for my wedding was a fair deal, if i had this exact same wedding in the city i would have ended up paying double or triple the price. My husband and I had a beautiful day and will always remember our wedding day. Again cannot rave enough about this place, the food, the service, the decor all were outstanding and so happy to of found this place! Highly reccomend this place.

We arrived a little bit early for our appointment so our sales person was just finishing up with her privies couple. We were offered a cup of coffee while we waited and had a chance to look around the venue. It was a very nice touch. After finally meeting Anna we were very impressed with the knowledge and high level of customer service she offered. I just had my wedding this past Sunday and it was absolutely perfect. First off, this was the only venue that we researched that let us have a tasting before signing the contract. They are confident that their food speaks for itself and it did. Not only was it delicious at our tasting, but on the wedding day, our guests lovedddd the food as well. We got the combo platter with chicken and filet mignons and the quality of both were top notch. \r\rAlong with the food...the service was amazing. We worked with Anna and she always made sure all of our questions were answered and everything was ready to go. She is very professional and easy to talk to to get things done. The serving staff was great too. On our wedding day, Anna was always present making sure everything was being fulfilled. I highly recommend brides to check this place out!!

What a great place. Had my wedding reception at European Crystal in August. Everything was excellent , we worked with Anna from the beginning till the end and she was awesome she helped us with everything from picking the menu to decorations( it was very easy since you can order everything thru them we just told her our colors and she gave us great suggestions and show us different set up options and samples of linens & lighting) At the end the ballroom looked absolutely beautiful we could not ask for more. Our guests were very impressed especially with the fireworks we had for our entrance( Thanks Anna for suggesting those if it wasn't for you I would never even knew they existed :) ) Not to mentioned the food - exceptional for a banquet hall we never expected it to be that good , we knew it was going to be good after we had our tasting but you are always worry ok they can cook for two for the tasting but how is it going to be for 300? But they definitely know what they doing the food was perfect. I strongly recommend European Crystal to everyone how is looking for a great place for their wedding.

I held both my ceremony and reception and European Crystal in October 2012 and it was just excellent! The facility is beautiful and the food is outstanding! It's not like any other banquet food you've had~ we chose the chicken christopher and orange roughy and our guests raved that it was like eating at a fine restaurant! We worked with Michelle and she was very helpful every step along the way. We also had a sweet table through the hall and it was worth every penny- the desserts were fresh and moist (not dry like most sweet tables at weddings). Definitely a place to consider if you're planning a wedding in the northern suburbs.

We had our wedding reception here in September of 2011. I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Alice was wonderful in keeping in contact with me and making sure everything was just how I wanted it. \r\rThe food was EXCELLENT. Our family and friends commented for months how they were so surprised how great the food was (so not \"wedding food\"!!). \r\rI had high expectations for how I wanted the ballroom to look with lighting, etc. and they really made it happen. Our cake was beautiful and tasty. I wanted a candy buffet and Alice and her crew took care of everything. It was set up perfectly with the colors I wanted and it was a big hit.\r\rThe ONLY thing that wasn't exactly right was the \"rose petal drop\" during our first dance. I think the petals got stuck in the machine or something... however, they made up for it by extending our open bar. I didn't know this until after the wedding, but the bar was supposed to be closed during dinner. They left it open the whole time... I'm sure my guests loved that :)\r\rAll in all, I was so very happy with everything. The room was gorgeous, the food was fantastic, and best of all, I didn't have to worry about anything! I definitely recommend this venue!

My wife went a little crazy on the decorations but it turned out beautifully. The wait staff did a great job and their bartendards made fantastic strong drinks. We also had our ceremony here on site and hired one of their coordinators to run the ceremony. Even though it was an extra cost- it was worth it and much cheaper than hiring an outside wedding planner. My guests all had a great time and still talking about what a great time they had. Many thanks to everyone at European Crystal for all their hard work they have put into my wedding!

We were drawn to this hall for its looks, stayed because of its potential, and were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the evening went. Everything was fantastic (nothing is perfect, but right up there and managed very well). The contract was no hassle, everything was spelled out - no hidden fees... the taxes, gratuity, and everything was all spelled out and Michelle got us an invoice before payment was due to keep things simple. Actually, when we came in with less people than expected, they agreed to let us have a dessert buffet instead of paying for 15 unneeded dinners and having it be wasted. I dropped off all my centerpieces, table cards/names, champagne flutes, etc the week before the wedding with a list of directions for setup. The day of the wedding, everything set up exactly the way we discussed and there were no \"surprises\" the day of the wedding. Michelle was our event coordinator and took us through the planning. The night of the wedding, she came to me a few times to ask/clarify the questionable things (random uncles bringing their own alcohol, DJ time change, do you want us to box the cake, etc). It kept us in control, but we knew that she was handling it so we could enjoy ourselves and she didn't track us down every three seconds with needless questions. The bartender left a little to be desired and we had to ask to turn down the heat (probably from too many people dancing!) but other than that, flawless evening from start to finish. We've gotten more compliments on the dinner than any other part of the whole wedding. Everyone loved it! It was BY FAR the best food we've had at a big group event ever (fillet minion, chicken christopher, and a twice-baked potato) The cake was beautiful and better than I'd imagined it to look. I just couldn't have asked for a better or more memorable wedding day.
