A Truly Private and Romantic Venue
**2024 DATES STILL AVAILABLE** ......EXCLUSIVE AND GLAMOROUS..... Located in Searsburg, VT, Chez Nous is a wedding and event venue brimming with sophistication and countryside charms. It is conveniently situated near Wilmington and Mount Snow, VT. Every detail of this mansion, barn, and property has been carefully thought out to provide guests with a welcoming retreat. Elegant and refined while still being cozy, the venue offers an ideal backdrop for “I dos.” Chez Nous was renovated by couple John and Cheryl Mincarelli, who lovingly transformed it into its current state. After meeting online, they became friends and took on the restoration project, which also encouraged their love for one another. Originally, it was the home of Mary and Celia Heather, known as the Heather sisters. The sisters purchased the property, which was a dairy farm, in the 1890s, constructing their cottage refuge, known as Chez Nous, on the site. John and Cheryl, after much research, had every detail of the mansion attended to, while building a new 3000 square ft. glam barn, creating a splendid setting for weddings and events. Nuptial celebrations can begin in the mansion, which features 20 rooms. Among these are six very spacious and beautifully decorated, bedrooms and five full bathrooms and can accommodate up to 12 overnight guests. On the main floor, there is a grand kitchen and dining room, as well as plenty of space to socialize with loved ones. The mansion has a covered, wrap-around porch that can seat up to 40 people and is well suited for rehearsal dinners. Outside, couples can choose from multiple spots to exchange their vows, with enough room for tents in case of inclement weather. Between the Heather Brook meandering through the property and the idyllic Vermont landscape, the photo opportunities are plentiful. Receptions may then take place in the four-season barn, which is able to accommodate 150-180 people. With beautiful chandeliers and lighting the barn is spacious and bright and has an additional comfy bonus room upstairs with TV, Foosball table and leather furniture. We allow you to choose your own vendors. We know every couple has their own preference for their food choices and we have compiled a list of caterers for you and we do allow food trucks as well. When you book Chez Nous it will be yours, exclusively. A private 21 acre estate for you, your family and friends to relax and unwind. You will find Chez Nous to be so comfortable and inviting, you won't want to leave!

Owners John and Cheryl have created an exquisite venue in Chez Nous. This beautifully restored mansion and newly built barn were the perfect backdrop for our rehearsal, wedding and brunch. Our guests enjoyed every inch of this incredible property.John and Cheryl's attention to detail shines through in every square inch of the mansion, the guest house and the barn. They were extremely easy to work with, supportive of our vision and so eager to share their property with us and our guests. We couldn't have chosen a better venue.

My husband and I fell in love with this venue the moment we arrived and had a tour. John and Cheryl are fantastic communicators and made sure we had everything we needed to have a relaxing celebration with our friends and family. We loved having our cozy romantic winter wedding and rehearsal dinner here, which was very convenient for our wedding party and out of town guests. John and Cheryl made sure to be as seen/available as we needed them, and this really added to the seedless flow of the weekend especially due to the snow storm the day before! I would definitely recommend this venue if you’re looking for a beautiful family oriented personalized experience!

My husband and I hosted our wedding at Chez Nous this past October. We had recently moved to the area and were hoping to find an affordable venue that could capture our dream of a New England fall wedding. Chez Nous was the perfect space to uphold this dream. The barn is the perfect place to hold the reception and staying in the farm house felt like being at home. The owners, John and Cheryl not only helped my husband and I create our dream wedding, but welcomed us into their carefully crafted home with open arms. I would recommend Chez Nous to anyone who is looking to have their wedding in Vermont. Thank you again John and Cheryl for everything you did for Spencer and I. We cannot thank you enough and will cherish the memories made at Chez Nous for a lifetime.

Do yourselves a favor, and check out Chez Nous. Our wedding was more amazing than I ever imagined and it was entirely due to this venue. The immaculate interior is carefully decorated down to the last detail, while the grounds showcase the natural Vermont beauty. The bridal suite in particular made us feel like genuine royalty with its four poster bed, personal fireplace, and luxury bathtub. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received at our wedding. Our guests were stunned by the location. When you rent Chez Nous, you also are lucky enough to get Cheryl and John, the most welcoming hosts you will ever find. They were both eager to help in any way they could. In our case, they even offered up their bar services for the reception! They have such pride in the property and want to share it with you. Please let them!
