A vintage venue in historic downtown Stoughton, WI
Dating back to 1898, our historic venue was known as the grandest building north of Chicago. New renovated, Chorus provides a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. With the grand staircase, 15-foot wood columns on one floor, classic white columns on another, our space brings out your style with a timeless feel and allows for weddings of all sizes, designs and needs. Chorus Public House presents an opportunity for you to create your own history. The chorus of a song is for everyone to sign, so join in and celebrate.
Catie Harris(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-09-2019 Chorus Public House is a hidden gem in Stoughton and was the perfect location for our wedding reception. It has really unique vibes, and we got so many compliments on how awesome the venue was. The bar was one of our favorite features of the place in addition to the beautiful staircase that was perfect for speeches and a grand entrance. Majority of our communication was with Christi, and she was highly responsive through the entire wedding planning process which is so important. You bring in all of your vendors which gave us the freedom to make our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. A shout out to Kadie the day of the wedding for being awesome and helping make everything run smoothly. We couldn't be happier with how our big day went and hope to see more weddings at the Chorus Public House! Reviewed on 22-09-2019

Haley Ocwieja(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-10-2019 The Chorus Public House is a beautiful venue for an elegant, vintage-inspired wedding. The wood floors and ceilings are already a great background with minimal decorating. We had a wedding of approximately 150 people, with a ceremony on the mezzanine, cocktail hour in the basement, and dinner/dancing on the main floor. Note that the mezzanine is best suited for under 150 but is great for having natural light and using the grand staircase. Christi from the Chorus House was professional, friendly, and fast to respond to questions via email. She also provided some helpful suggestions, such as using the same chairs for ceremony and dinner, and bringing in some “muscle” to help with moving those chairs. While I was happy with the final product of my wedding day, I think that Chorus House still has a few things to figure out as a venue. For example, we chose to upgrade to the “Diamond Package,” which included chairs/tables/linens in addition to use of the venue. Linens didn’t include napkins, which was a surprise cost. Christi did cover half the napkins as a gesture of good faith, which was appreciated. A few other costs we incurred that were not included in the package included upgrading the chairs from white to fruitwood (which looked much better in the venue), choosing colored tablecloths instead of white, and adding a booster seat. When touring the venue, we were told there was an option to hire bartenders for an hourly rate, which was then no longer available when the time came to set up the service. We ended up hiring a separate bartending service to avoid the hassle of having to buy and bring in our own alcohol/servers. An assistant is also available the day of your wedding for a few hours to help coordinate setup, which is nice if you don’t have a wedding planner. You could pay to have her there a few extra hours as well. One more positive note is that renting this venue gives you all of Saturday and then Sunday morning so you don’t have to clean up the night of the wedding. Reviewed on 29-01-2020
