Regularly voted into The Knot's Best Of Hall of Fame, The Circle S Ranch & Country Inn is an event venue located in Lawrence, Kansas. It is set in a stunning countryside area that has charming country style and rustic ambiance. With over 22 years of wedding planning experience, Circle S welcome couples to make the Inn their home for the day of their wedding. Facilities and Capacity: There are a few different options at Circle S Ranch & Country Inn for your wedding events. There is the Party Barn recption area, over 3,000 square feet, the Great Room, The Indoor Wedding Chapel and the Outside Wedding Gardens. These venues are all-inclusive, and the venue can host up to 200+ guests per event. You may also book all 12 rooms at the Inn so you have exclusive use of the property during your event. Services Offered: There are endless services offered at Circle S Ranch & Country to help make your event go smoothly. With so much to consider, the lovely professionals offer these extras along with the venue rental: Linens Tables Chairs Plates Glassware Flatware Banquet staff Bonfire s’mores after rehearsal dinner Breakfast for overnight guests Garden social before the ceremony Lunch for overnight guests before the ceremony Financing and Insurance: We utilize the services of www.eventsured.com to keep our potential brides and grooms protected. Everyone is recommended to insure their event and wedding investments with coverage in case of cancellation or unforeseen delays. We also utilize www.vuexo.com in financing options to one's investment. Your event deposit and monies are large purchase items, so finance them in a way that works well for you, even after that big day has come and gone. Accommodations: There are 12 country-style guest rooms at the Circle S Ranch & Country Inn. Each room has a very different style, from log cabin to countryside chic, and the owners make you feel very much at home as well. History: The ranch has been a working ranch since 1860, having passed through six generations of the same Stewart family. They have taken pride in the property and just over the last few decades have decided to expand it with the Inn. The Inn opened in 1998 for their first wedding and they have since added quite a bit on to create the lavish venue that is there now. They love sharing the heritage and breathtaking scenery of the countryside with couples who are entering such a beautiful time of their lives.

Wedding Date 05-03-2022
We booked the entire ranch for our daughters wedding in March. They wanted to get married quickly and on the anniversary of the date they met. With only 3 months to plan a wedding we were a bit worried about getting everything done. Mary took care of everything, food, decor, Diane did the spectacular flowers. Since it was an early March wedding the decision was made to have the ceremony in the barn. The bride and groom really wanted to make the barn feel more intimate and romantic which Mary and her team accomplished. We checked in Friday and were able to relax and enjoy the ranch. The wedding party spent the day horseback riding and taking longhorn tours. We had a great rehearsal followed by an intimate dinner in the great room by the huge fireplace. Later that night we had a bonfire and s'mores. The wedding day was so relaxing. They fed us breakfast and lunch while we were getting ready. The groom wanted to add some of his Dominican heritage to the reception dinner and Mary and her team didn't hesitate to make that happen. After the reception we were able to go back to the house where there was a late night snack waiting for us. Sunday morning they served us breakfast as we packed up and headed out. It was such a joyful experience. Everyone has gone out of their way to tell us this was one of the best weddings they have ever attended.

I could not have asked for a better venue or people to help us plan our special day! The staff was always easy to get ahold of and willing to answer and questions I had. Not only were they wonderful to work with throughout the planning processes, our wedding weekend was perfect. They made everything so stress free and I didn’t have to worry about anything the entire wedding weekend. Highly recommend the full weekend package. All of our guests had a wonderful time and our bridal party was so grateful to all be in one place. It was a destination wedding at home.

Circle S was great for a customized wedding. They accommodated all of our ideas and were very friendly the whole time. We were nervous about the forecast of rain but Circle S was very prepared with many covered areas so the rain didn't even affect us! We had a wonderful time !!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding here last spring and I can’t say enough good things! The ranch is absolutely gorgeous, with so many pretty places for photos! The guest rooms are a great size. The food was fantastic and the staff was super friendly and helpful!!

Circle S Ranch is truly the best place to have your wedding. The staff was so accommodating to make sure our day was special. The staff was always willing to go out of their way to make sure all our needs were met. The ranch is the most beautiful location you could ask for. It is acres and acres of beautiful landscape. The party barn where we did our reception was amazing. We were able to set up the night before and day of to make it look just like we wanted. The food we had was out of this world. We received so many compliments on how delicious it was. The rooms we stayed in were very clean and it was the perfect place for our us and our guests to stay. With two hot tubs, a fire pit and a great porch area, we had no problem keeping our guests entertained throughout the weekend. I cannot thank Mary, Alayna and Chris enough for make our special day absolutely perfect!!

What is there to say about my absolutely perfect wedding day at Circle S Ranch? I know it is a day I will remember for the rest of my life, and with good reason. From beginning to end of our contact, Anna made me feel like I, the bride, was in control and that she would do everything possible to make sure that everything ran smoothly on my wedding day. Circle S Ranch has amazing, beautiful, unique rooms and accommodations. All my relatives from Chicago thought it was the best hotel they'd ever stayed at. The staff were attentive and made everyone comfortable, and the meals I ate there (breakfast, lunch, wedding dinner, and breakfast the next morning) were among the best meals I have had in my life. I absolutely think it is some kind of magic how they manage to cook so much delicious food in such a short space of time. Have you ever wanted to pet a horse while you are setting up for your wedding? The horses are friendly, as is the lone dog who will entertain everyone from uncles to nephews. Or is your dream to soak in the hot tub with your girls late night before the big day? Maybe you want to spend alone time in a giant bathtub in front of a roaring fireplace...or have s'mores at your rehearsal dinner...or hear cows moo loudly to signal that it's time to kiss your new spouse! (Maybe that one was a coincidence). Any one of those items would have sold me, but I didn't have to choose. You can really have it all. Circle S paid attention to my every need, want, and wish, and they delivered. Nature was my decoration, friends and family were part of the experience, and even though it's just up the road, it felt like the destination wedding of my dreams. It's all over now, and I will miss those moments. But my new husband and I can always go back to Circle S and stay for a weekend, reminiscing on and reliving the best weekend of our lives.

Anna and her team were very professional; they were super responsive to emails and always quick to respond to questions. Anna and the rest of the Circle S team were also very accommodating with scheduling video conferences. When my husband and I arrived for our wedding weekend, Anna and Shelby welcomed us like old friends and took care of every single detail so that we could focus on spending quality time with our family and friends. My best friend got married here and the family+wedding party stayed at the Inn for the weekend - having such a warm home base for everyone made the weekend so much more fun. The rooms were comfortable & the food was great. Someone from the Inn was there to answer our questions (Mary and her family are so sweet!). The grounds are beautiful (bonus for pictures) and for the rainy day ceremony, the chapel was really intimate and looked lovely with the flowers. Laid back, warm setting, kind people - would definitely recommend!

My best friend got married here and the family+wedding party stayed at the Inn for the weekend - having such a warm home base for everyone made the weekend so much more fun. The rooms were comfortable & the food was great. Someone from the Inn was there to answer our questions (Mary and her family are so sweet!). The grounds are beautiful (bonus for pictures) and for the rainy day ceremony, the chapel was really intimate and looked lovely with the flowers. Circle S Ranch was the perfect venue for my husband and I. I was initially drawn Circle S because of the outdoor ceremony space. Its even more beautiful in person! We loved that we could rent the entire property for a whole weekend (we had a ton of out of town guests)! The price for renting the bed and breakfast out, also included meals for the guests staying at the property. Circle S has a lot of rustic things for couples to use on tables and furniture to play with to create the perfect reception atmosphere. I would highly recommend Circle S for couples looking for a rustic and outdoorsy day/weekend!!

I'm torn.We rented the whole inn for the weekend&chose the middle wedding package.Everything throughout planning ran very smooth, part of the reason I chose the venue.I enjoyed working with Theresa&she was usually quick to respond to emails.The weekend of the wedding was great in the inn,however the day of the wedding was a disaster.Maybe it was because we did not pay for the biggest event package&we were somehow less important,or maybe it was untrained staff,or maybe it was just an off weekend. During the week of the wedding weather called for rain,we were supposed to get married outside.I emailed Theresa about a plan B.I never heard back from her.Not a big deal,but I was juggling family flying in,moving wedding decor,etc.For the money we were paying,it seemed more like an inconvenience.It was eventually worked it out.I was told there was to be accommodations via polaris cart for people w/disabilities.This apparently was an issue. It was upsetting to hear about later from guests.I was also told there would be a welcome board for guests staying at the venue for the weekend(they did it for prior weddings),but we didn't get that.There were other brides touring the venue on my wedding day.I was actually cool with this, didn't mind, but there was not an employee with them.So instead of being able to ask them,they followed me around &asked questions.Again, not a big deal, purely inconvenienced. It says online there is wifi,but there was basically no wifi on the property.To save money, I had a playlist on Spotify&an emcee.I was told that there was stronger wifi in the barn,it wouldn't be a problem.We rented the speakers&mic from the ranch (which we were notified as an added charge a month before)&were told this had been something past brides had done.During the reception,we couldn't get the wifi to work, which meant no music.Theresa had left sometime during the ceremony &the staff had no clue as to the password to connect nor would they call her.Friends/family tried to resolve the issue without help,eventually I had to get upset in front of guests because we couldn't have our first dance,it was embarrassing.The staff then said it\"wasn't their problem\"&that it was either Spotify or weather to blame(it had stormed that evening,however the following sunny day the wifi wouldn't connect).In retrospect, I should have hired a DJ that didn't need wifi.I was trying to save money since we paid $10k up front to them.The staff was extremely unhelpful &were rude-if they were at all visible.I had put out vases with floating candles that were supposed to have water.Asked for water to be put in&they said they \"didn't know what to tell me\".Bartender was not in a good mood.The staff rolled their eyes at husband when asked for them to give us our cake structure back(we had to return them to baker),said they had already thrown them away.We had specifically asked,prior to, for it to be saved.The barn flooded on the back wall,where the bridal party/cake are set up.I didn't realize it flooded until after the cake was cut&sat down.The flooding &dirt in the barn gave my dress an awful grey ring &ruined my dress. For the money we paid/the way were treated,it's upsetting.I felt absolutely no stress whatsoever up until the reception&then felt nothing BUT stress trying fix things myself at my own reception.All in all,my wedding was beautiful.It was wonderful staying at the inn that weekend with family&friends, I heard nothing but good things from those who stayed.

The Circle S Ranch gave me my dream ethereal bohemian wedding!To start, Theresa & Mary were amazing throughout the entire planning process and always answered my questions very quickly. They listened to my vision & gave me all the tools to bring it to life! I was originally worried that the venue might be too country/rustic to fit my bohemian vision, but once I saw the outdoor ceremony site & how secluded in nature it was....the simplicity of the beauty of the nature was perfect. & the party barn was easily transformed into what I wanted. Being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same venue was something I wanted, and them having rooms available for guests & family to stay in at the inn was a relief. Not to mention they took care of alcohol, linens, serviceware, & transporting decor from the ceremony to the reception took so much of my planning stress away. They even made vendor recommendations & accommodated the taco truck we wanted at our reception! Neither my family or I had to worry about the clean up at the end of the night either. It made me so happy that everyone could just enjoy themselves and relax and not stress about all the details. It made our big day even more special! I would strongly recommend Circle S!! Having so many things included in this venue pricing made it such a major value and well worth it.

My wife and I held our reception at the Ranch after getting married at a nearby church. I can't imagine holding the reception anywhere else. Not only was the scenery gorgeous, but we had a double rainbow to compliment it!The staff are very accommodating and work hard to help you create the best experience for you.The seclusive nature of the ranch really helps to build up the event. You really exist in a little universe of your own creation out there, free of the worries and stresses of day-to-day life.Many people talk about the stresses that a wedding puts you through, but I have to say, I don't understand what they are talking about. My wedding week was so stress free, and that is due in no small part to the work put in by the Circle S Ranch. My wife might have played a part in that too :)All-in-all, I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for any reason.

For us, it was totally worth it to be able to host our parents and wedding party for the entire weekend, and know that no one would have to stress about their travel and accommodations. Overall we had a fantastic experience with Circle S. We did have a wedding coordinator who helped with most of our planning, and she had been employed with the Ranch for several years as their Events Coordinator. Even when a new Events Coordinator was hired on mid-way thru our planning, she picked right up where ours had left off, and didn't miss a beat in quickly returning our emails or helping us with every last detail of our big day. I had many, many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was, which was all prepared by the Ranch. Our one disappointment in the Ranch was that we were guaranteed we'd have full access by 9am on Friday morning, with rooms ready for check-in by noon. However, it seemed a group was double booked on Friday and the main inn was still occupied til close to 2pm. It did not end up being too big of a deal, as many of our guests didn't end up arriving til 2-3pm, but we did feel slightly inconvenienced, mainly - again - due to the price we're paying for this venue. Overall, however, the weekend went off without a hitch, largely in part to the staff that work at Circle S. and their attentiveness to detail and customer satisfaction. I'd absolutely recommend this venue to couples in the KC area looking for a truly rustic, romantic wedding experience. Thank you for giving us a weekend to remember for a lifetime!

We got married on December 5th 2015 at the Circle S Ranch. We opted for the big wedding package, which includes all 12 rooms at the bed and breakfast for up to 24 guest, the ceremony venue, the reception venue and so much more! There is something about having 24 members of your family and closest friends under one roof for a whole weekend that makes the whole experience even more special! The service is 5 star quality! The staff make your whole family feel like VIPs, the food all weekend was phenomenal and I would highly recommend this is venue to anyone that asks!!! We checked in on Friday and had the rehearsal and dinner that night with our family and friends. Friday night they had a bonfire for s'mores. Woke up on Saturday to an awesome breakfast and then lunch later that day. We had the ceremony and reception Saturday night, followed by a midnight snack of pizza after the reception for the guest that stayed at the ranch. We got up Sunday morning to another wonderful breakfast before we checked out and went to the airport to start our honeymoon! It was truly a magical weekend and I could not have asked for more. By beautiful bride had the dream wedding she always wanted!\r\rI don't what our total cost for the ranch was...I will say that the price depends on the time of year. We chose December to try and save some money. The ranch can do indoor or outdoor weddings depending on what you want. \r\rBottom line is this...I WOULD CHOOSE THE RANCH AGAIN ANY TIME NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!

We got married on December 5th 2015 at the Circle S Ranch. We opted for the big wedding package, which includes all 12 rooms at the bed and breakfast for up to 24 guest, the ceremony venue, the reception venue and so much more! There is something about having 24 members of your family and closest friends under one roof for a whole weekend that makes the whole experience even more special! The service is 5 star quality! The staff make your whole family feel like VIPs, the food all weekend was phenomenal and I would highly recommend this is venue to anyone that asks!!! We checked in on Friday and had the rehearsal and dinner that night with our family and friends. Friday night they had a bonfire for s'mores. Woke up on Saturday to an awesome breakfast and then lunch later that day. We had the mot amazing weekend at Circle S celebrating with our family and friends! We purchased the biggest package allowing us to use the property for the entire weekend and utilizing both the ceremony and reception sites as well as the Inn. Our entire immediate families and wedding party including their spouses and kids were able to stay with us on the property at the Inn all weekend and it made for such a fun and exciting atmosphere for everyone. The landscaping is beautiful and makes for amazing pictures! We also used their catering services throughout our stay and all of the food was great! The staff is so easy to work with and is willing to go above and beyond to make the event exactly what you have envisioned and more. We hired Sara to be our coordinator the day of and couldn't have asked for anything more from her! Our day definitely would not have ran as smoothly as it did if not for her. My husband and I were so happy with how the whole weekend turned out and couldn't imagine using any other venue! It was perfect!

The Circle S Ranch gave me everything I could have ever dreamed of and more for my wedding. We had the most perfect weekend. Sarah Bronson was beyond amazing throughout the entire planning process and always answered my questions very quickly. Being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same venue was something I had always wanted. Having rooms available to stay in at the ranch as well as them taking care of all of the catering, alcohol, and rehearsal dinner, took so much of my planning stress away immediately.The beautiful decor of the party barn where the reception was held also eliminated a lot of my stress because I didn't have to worry about decorating or cleaning up afterwards. I loved that I could enjoy an entire weekend rather than just a wedding day with my family and bridal party. The wedding day went off perfectly without a single hitch thanks to Sarah. Everything was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the reception was the most fun I had ever had. Having so many things included in this venue pricing made it such a major value and well worth it. Sarah was also so great about communicating the costs of everything at the highest end upfront so that there weren't any surprises. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to any bride and I will definitely be returning to the ranch for an anniversary weekend trip in the future!

The Circle S Ranch gave me everything I could have ever dreamed of and more for my wedding. We had the most perfect weekend. I loved that I could enjoy an entire weekend rather than just a wedding day with my family and bridal party. The wedding day went off perfectly without a single hitch thanks to Sarah. Everything was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the reception was the most fun I had ever had. Having so many things included in this venue pricing made it such a major value and well worth it. My fiancé and I were very picky about choosing a venue because we both have different styles. A lot of venues we had visited were over priced and the staff was not very friendly. When we met Sarah she was nice and funny. We were trying to come by and have a tour but we had missed the tour time. She was very polite and told us she was still around and she would wait for us to arrive. Which was different because other venue staff did not care about us being out of their areas. It took us an hour to get there and she was just so chipper and sweet. We hit it off instantly. During the planning she was more than amazing. She responded quickly to emails and returned calls. Sarah basically helped me every step of the way. \r\rThere were no hidden fees and I never expected to be overcharged for things because Sarah always told me up front what things were costing instead of me telling her what I wanted and her not giving me the prices until the end. If there was a $3 charge extra, Sarah would notify me. We met the owner and a lot of the other staff and never once were any of them rude or mean. \r\rOur rehearsal dinner was amazing! Everything was like I planned. There was always staff present during the day and early morning to assist with anything that our guests needed. Our ceremony was just as special. I cannot say anything bad about this venue. It was exactly what I wanted. For the money we paid and the way people treated us, I would recommend this venue every time! All of my guests kept talking about how great this place was and I couldn't have been any happier! \r\rI also liked the location. It is in the middle of no where and it forces families and friends to interact. After our rehearsal dinner we played games on the lawn and we had a s'mores bar compliments of the ranch. Circle S Ranch is by far the best and helped me have my dream wedding weekend!!!!

I have always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding, and started to fall in love with the idea of rustic receptions. Once my fiancé proposed, and we came to tour the Ranch, we both just fell in love. Not only did it have everything we were looking for, but we purchased the package that came with the Inn as well. Our bridal party and family stayed the night on Friday after our rehearsal where we enjoyed a bonfire with smores, and we were all so relaxed and stress free.\r\rBeing able to come in on Friday to set up all of our decor, and not having any pressure to be on a schedule was the best part of our wedding experience. We also stayed the night after our reception, and to our surprise the staff had already cleaned up the Party Barn and put together our decor which was ready for us to load up and take away Sunday morning. \r\rNot only did the venue completely blow us away, but the staff there is simply the best. They are fantastic about keeping you calm, and taking care of everything on their end, as well as making sure everyone is having a terrific time. They are professional, full of knowledge about the wedding industry, and were more than happy to help.\r\rNot only do I recommend the Circle S Ranch to all of my friends and loved ones as a place not only for their weddings, but I tell them to go out there for a romantic weekend, family reunion, or something fun because the experience you get is one that lasts a lifetime. We have family and friends who still talk about our wedding and how great it was! \r\rThe best way to feel after your wedding is to think back on everything that happened and know you wouldn't change a thing. my husband and I got married here last year on December 7th. Our families came in and all stayed at the ranch. Everything was perfect. we came out once before the wedding to take engagement pictures and to try some dishes for the wedding dinner.everything we tried was delicious.the owners are extremely accommodating and offered to make available anything that might make our guests more comfortable (I had family coming in from Japan). everything we had asked for was done, and even a little bit more. I had flowers delivered for tables and was going to arrange them myself, but the Ranch offered to do so instead and they turned out great. the guests loved their rooms. Because of the cold, we were inside, and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Again, the owners were, accomodating, offering to take anything down we did not like. We did not have them take anything down because it looked great. We were married in front of the fireplace and had dinner in the same room. They switched furniture very quickly, while we were out taking freezing pictures. The venue offers so many beautiful options for pictures, inside and out. they even moved this beautiful old red couch outside so we could take a picture on it. after dinner, everyone was able to mingle and have a few drinks.I think you can tell a lot about a place from how they handle unexpected issues. My husband got sick a night of our wedding and we had to go to the hospital the next day. The roads were iced too. even though we were supposed to be out on Sunday, they allowed us to stay until Monday at no charge.the hospitality was exceptional. I felt like family. I can't say enough positive things about this place. I will be returning for a girls weekend, a romantic weekend, or just a getaway weekend,it was so great!

Everything was perfect. we came out once before the wedding to take engagement pictures and to try some dishes for the wedding dinner.everything we tried was delicious.the owners are extremely accommodating and offered to make available anything that might make our guests more comfortable (I had family coming in from Japan). everything we had asked for was done, and even a little bit more. I had flowers delivered for tables and was going to arrange them myself, but the Ranch offered to do so instead and they turned out great. the guests loved their rooms. Because of the cold, we were inside, and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Again, the owners were, accomodating, offering to take anything down we did not like. We did not have them take anything down because it looked great. We were married in front of the fireplace and had dinner in the same room. They switched furniture very quickly, while we were out taking freezing pictures. The venue offers so many beautiful options for pictures, inside and out. they even moved this beautiful old red couch outside so we could take a picture on it. after dinner, everyone was able to mingle and have a few drinks.I think you can tell a lot about a place from how they handle unexpected issues. My husband got sick a night of our wedding and we had to go to the hospital the next day. The roads were iced too. even though we were supposed to be out on Sunday, they allowed us to stay until Monday at no charge.the hospitality was exceptional. I felt like family. I can't say enough positive things about this place. I will be returning for a girls weekend, a romantic weekend, or just a getaway weekend,it was so great!

Circle S Ranch was absolutely beauitful and perfect to have our wedding! We wanted a place that we could have to ourselves all weekend. Our families and wedding party all stayed with us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the 12 rooms that were there. We were provided with meals all weekend. My husband and I made an appointment a year ago at Circle S Ranch to check it out. First appearances were great, but the owner apparently did not know we were coming, or she forgot. We were greeted with confusion by the staff and waited about 20 minutes for her to show up. Any questions we asked were met with \"oh its not a big deal\" or \"yes, that's included\". I took notes of these questions and answers. We were given a tour that was not as informative as we would have wanted, though the venue itself has such a beautiful rustic quality that we really enjoyed.\r\rNot long after, when we wanted to bring our parents to visit the space, it became close to impossible to get a tour arranged. We understand that the staff likes to give tours at certain times, but if people simply cannot be there because of work or other obligations, especially after putting down a $2000 deposit, the vendor needs to be a little more accommodating. \r\rThis tour was more informative, and the parents all seemed to like it, but when we sat down with the owner to talk about money, it became very clear how uninformed we were. There were hidden prices that came out of nowhere. For example, I had specifically asked what was included in the price of food, like flatware and linens. I was told on our initial tour that those were included, which I wrote down, and we went to our parents with this information. Well, linens and flatware are definitely not included, and the wedding package that we thought we were looking at for $10,000 quickly turned into a $20,000 event. Linens and flatware are certainly not the end of the world, but I lost count as to how many promises she backed out of that day. I cannot convey my embarrassment enough, after trying to be as informed as possible before telling our parents about this venue, and my anger at feeling mislead and honestly, lied to. I was so upset I was literally trying not to cry in the car on the way to the dinner we had planned to celebrate and talk about the wedding. \r\rWe broke off contact with Circle S for a few months because we were at a loss as to what to do. They didn't seem to notice anyway. We invested $2000 already and did not expect to get it back if we decided to part ways. I realized around that time we had never received a receipt for our deposit, another worrisome factor. I sent an email with my concerns and some questions, and I received two responses. The first was from the owner and was more than rude, not addressing any of our concerns, and asking if we needed help with our budget, which we did not. The second was clearly sent to us by accident, asking the owner who we were, since there was no record of us on file there. Absolutely unacceptable. I immediately called the venue, spoke with the owner, and demanded our deposit back. She agreed, given the circumstances, though it took weeks to get our deposit and I had to contact her once again to make sure it was actually coming to us.\r\rAll this happened about a year ago, and I have waited to write a review because I wanted it to be calm and clear, not full of the frustration and misgiving I was feeling. Circle S appears to be wonderful, but please approach carefully. It's hard enough, this process, without such things. \r\rWe adore the venue where we had our ceremony and reception, and we are wishing all the brides out there the best of luck!

The folks at Circle S Ranch are amazing. They helped us pull off a perfect wedding weekend. They were accommodating, flexible, helpful, and responsive. No wedding is without a few stressors along the way, but in the end, they helped me put together a wedding that was even more amazing than I had hoped. The venue was beautiful. Our guests loved every minute of the space. And, most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS! (They have an amazing chef who went the extra mile for us). We had held my grandpa’s 75th birthday party here when I was in high school and I remembered it being beautiful. So, when the time for us to research venues we looked into it. The more we researched the more we realized how perfect it would be for us. 30 of our guests could stay out there with us (it is also a bed and breakfast), we could do EVERYTHING on site (rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception), they have fantastic food (our guests STILL talk about the food), AND they had farm animals everywhere- buffalo, horses, pigs, sheep, long horned cattle, donkeys, and the world’s sweetest golden retriever (as animal lovers this was definitely a bonus!). We flew to Kansas for a long weekend in March to visit the ranch and do a tasting. The rooms were beautiful, the ceremony site was perfect, the people were warm and friendly (gotta love the Midwest!), and the food knocked our socks off. The fact that the chef was committed to locally sourcing as much of the ingredients for our meals as possible was really just the icing on the cake. When July rolled around and our wedding date creeped closer the staff were always quick to answer emails and phone calls (important for anxious brides and mothers of the bride!) and left us feeling incredibly confident. We were able to get to the ranch early on the Friday before the wedding to set up the party barn and finish up some DIY projects. The staff worked with us on seating arrangements for both the ceremony and reception and helped us work out some options for the heat (it was 107 degrees on our wedding day!). As the guests arrived everyone raved about their rooms, the beauty of the ranch, and (of course) the buffalo. Throughout our events there was always someone handy making sure things were going smoothly and to see if there was anything they could do to accommodate us further. As I've mentioned quite a few times, the food really blew everyone away. We didn't have anything too fancy (Southwestern for the rehearsal and upscale barbeque for the reception) but everything was delicious. It was great to be close to Lawrence but far enough away that you could really unplug and relax. Many of our guests commented on what a relaxing weekend it was for them. One of my aunts took advantage of the horseback riding offered and my husband and his groomsmen spent their time before our evening ceremony playing croquet on the lawn. My husband, our families, and our guests all truly loved our experience with the ranch!

I rented Circle S for our mothers wedding to my father. I know that this wedding and circle S ranch will be in our hearts forever. The staff is without a doubt the most kind hearted, down to earth people I have have ever met. The farm was wonderful and we had a great time. Rooms are clean, staff is wonderful, Food was AMAZING and i hated to leave. 2 days later i still feel sad that we had to end our time there. The wedding was wonderful and it was becasause we chose this ranch to have it at. I could go on and on about this wonderful GODS COUNTRY VENUE..Thanks to Amy, Ahnanya, Mary,Valerie,Jennifer, Jason, and anyone that we came into contact with at this beautiful Ranch.

I rented Circle S for our mothers wedding to my father. I know that this wedding and circle S ranch will be in our hearts forever. The staff is without a doubt the most kind hearted, down to earth people I have have ever met. The farm was wonderful and we had a great time. Rooms are clean, staff is wonderful, Food was AMAZING and i hated to leave. 2 days later i still feel sad that we had to end our time there. The wedding was wonderful and it was becasause we chose this ranch to have it at. Circle S Ranch gave us all we wanted in a wedding venue! My husband and I always wanted an outdoor wedding with a vintage-rustic feel. Circle S provided just that for us. We would recommend Circle S to anyone looking to have an outdoor Kansas wedding. It was perfect. The scenery was great and it is a very kid friendly venue. A lot of our guest’s kids had fun looking at all of the animals and playing on the tree swings. The scenery allowed for some amazing photos that we will treasure forever. We were very happy with the planning process. Amy was always available by phone or email and all of my questions were answered promptly. Great venue! Great staff! Amazing wedding experience.

We bought The Big Event package, which included the inn for the entire weekend, all the rooms, and the wedding and reception areas; we were completely impressed with the ranch! The food for the weekend was phenomenal! Be prepared to bring an appetite; they know how to feed their guests. The scenery was beautiful and our family that stayed with us at the ranch had nothing but wonderful things to say about the rooms, the food, and the buffalo roaming. Our wedding went just as planned; we couldn't have asked for anything better because the help at the ranch came through in a big way. They were readily available for all of our questions and needs, provided us with everything we asked for, and also did a lot of the clean-up after our reception had ended! Amy (the events coordinator) did a great job keeping everything organized and ensuring our wants and needs for the wedding were met; I have an intolerance for pork so they used no pork in any meal which I am sure was quite a hard feat considering breakfast is served with mostly pork products! They also did an excellent job of ensuring the privacy and satisfaction of our family throughout their stay; they are a very accommodating place and Edward and I have many memories for the years to come that we will cherish forever! We would recommend anyone having their wedding at CIrcle S Ranch; it will be the best decision you will ever make!

I had my wedding here at Circle S Ranch, it was absolutely amazing!! I loved it, and everyone else that was there did as well. The staff was amazing, doing everything that we asked and helping us in any way possible, just to make sure we had a great time! he bartender was amazing as well, and the cooks were awesome! the food was delicious! I wish we could have stayed longer, but it was definitely a place we will return to someday for our anniversary or a trip sometime! We loved it!!!

My daughter recently held her wedding and reception at the Circle S Ranch and Country Inn in May 2012. Everyone at the ranch was so nice, polite and easy to work with. All of us fell in love with the place as soon as we saw it the first time and every visit afterwards as the dream became reality. On the day of the wedding Amy and Jane were flexible and willing to make little changes to accomodate the wind, the ceremony, extra beds in rooms for kids, etc with every request I had. Absolutely wonderful to work with and I would recommend them to anyone who asked. The food was fresh, home made and tasted fantastic for both the dinner and breakfast with very attentive service. My only regret is I wish I would have stayed one more night to truly enjoy the peaceful setting and the buffalo too!

My daughter recently held her wedding and reception at the Circle S Ranch and Country Inn in May 2012. Everyone at the ranch was so nice, polite and easy to work with. All of us fell in love with the place as soon as we saw it the first time and every visit afterwards as the dream became reality. On the day of the wedding Amy and Jane were flexible and willing to make little changes to accomodate the wind, the ceremony, extra beds in rooms for kids, etc with every request I had. Absolutely wonderful to work with and I would recommend them to anyone who asked. The food was fresh, home made and tasted fantastic for both the dinner and breakfast with very attentive service. My only regret is I wish I would have stayed one more night to truly enjoy the peaceful setting and the buffalo too!

Everything about this place is perfect! It's like a mini destination wedding nestled peacefully just outside of Lawrence. Amy, Mary, Jane, and the rest of the gang are so amazing to work with. We will be using Circle S for many family events to come :)

When my husband and I started looking at venues for our wedding, we were not sure that a ranch would really work for us because we are both more \"urban\" people (as my mother would say) but we thought \"We should at least go see the Circle S Ranch\" and we fell in love with it right away! They are just such wonderful people and helped us in every way they could! When it came to the weekend of our wedding (we did their Big Event package which included 12 rooms for 2 nights and meals plus catering for the reception and the ceremony/reception areas), we fell in love with the ranch even more than we had when we first visited it! We had great help and the food was awesome! Our families stayed with us at the country inn and it was fantastic, everyone raved about everything from the beautiful rooms to the fabulous staff to the delish food! The wedding and reception were everything we could have wanted and we still have people talking about what a great time they had! We would recommend the Circle S to anyone!

We couldn't have found a better venue for our wedding.\r\rThe staff was absolutely incredible. They enjoy what they do and they were totally focused on helping make our wedding weekend perfect. If we wanted something, their staff found a way to make it happen. Mary, Amy and Linda were so helpful and kind throughout the whole process. Their experience with weddings and events allowed us to focus on enjoying the moment and not worrying about details.\r\rIt was so convenient and relaxing to have our entire bridal party and family in one location for the whole weekend. It was also convenient having the rehearsal, wedding, and reception at the same location.\r\rEveryone raved about the food; whether it was breakfast, lunch, rehearsal dinner or the reception dinner.\r\rThe rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable, and fun. You cannot get the value on the size of the rooms at any hotel.\r\rThe view and landscape was breathtaking. The entire environment seemed to have a calming effect on everyone there. It's so serene and relaxing it just seemed to soothe everyone and minimize the stress level.\r\rWe love the Circle S Ranch. We look forward to returning for an anniversary party in a few years. We would recommend Circle S Ranch with the highest regard.

We had our November wedding this fall at Circle S Ranch. It could not have been a more perfect setting. From the very beginning, Amy, and the rest of the staff were exceptional in helping us pull together our dream wedding! I am an interior decorator (& wedding stylist) so I had LOTS of ideas on what I wanted for decor & EVERYTHING else. They accomodated all the crazy things I wanted to do from decorating, bringing in vintage furniture for the reception to letting me bring in my own lighting! It was awesome! To give an example of how much they care about making it great: The day of the wedding Matt the fantastic \"ranch hand\" drove us around the property with our photographer to capture some fantastic photos (Buffalo included!). We also want to give HUGE thanks to all of the folks who prepared food throughout the weekend. We had innumerable compliments on how totally yummy the Italian dinner was (all the food, really!). Amy, ranch co-ordinator, was by far the most fantastic to work with. She is easy going, super helpful and did so much for us...I even ended up buying jewelry she designed to wear in my wedding! The Circle S Inn is so charming and absolutely wonderful to stay at for the weekend. We had our family stay there with us that weekend and everyone raved about how charming it was. I HIGHLY recommend staying the weekend if you can. We could not be happier that we chose to have our wedding at the ranch. We had planned on a destination wedding but scrapped it when we found the ranch and I'm so glad we did!

Little did we know that we had found the perfect place for the laid back elegance she was looking for. The food was absolutely incredible. When a venue cooks for that many people it can be difficult to deliver a consistent product. We hoped for good and would have settled for decent. Boy, were we surprised! The ranch started off at delicious with the rehersal dinner and finished with absolutely awesome at the reception. The staff must have magical powers. They never hovered but seemed to always be available and attentive at just the right moment. Being able to have the wedding party and family in the same spot on the day before and the day of the wedding definitely decreased the stress potential and all we really had to do was relax and wait for the bride. Circle S Ranch was a huge part of a day that for us will always be one of our most special moments. I can't imagine any other place that we would have been happier.

Where do we even begin? We just had our \"Big Event\" weekend at the ranch and all we can say is THANK YOU! To Mary - Thank you for sharing your ranch with us, our family, and friends. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or staff to work with! Amy - Your patience, cooperation, and friendliness in working with us helped make our weekend one to remember! Not only was the wedding a hit with our guests, but the weekend stay with our family/friends was too much fun! The only unfortunate thing about the weekend was time - we didn't have enough of it! We just didn't want it to end. Special thanks to the other staff (Matt & his crew) and Jason & the kitchen staff. Without Matt's assistance, the weekend just wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did. He took us out on the 4x4 to beyond the hills and next to the longhorns, just for pictures! He was truly dedicated to making sure our weekend would go well. Jason's kitchen talent left us craving more! ALL of our weekend meals were great! And our wedding guests were raving about how great the reception dinner was (chicken and pulled pork). AMAZING!\r\rTo all future brides and grooms, if you are searching for a venue that is unique, private, cozy, rustic, and just different from all the other venues out there... you won't be disappointed with Circle S. They have buffalo roaming in the pastures! And although it may be a little pricey, in the end you'll feel like it was all worth it for the memories you'll end up having with your close friends and family. Just visit the ranch and you'll see.

As mother of the bride and helping plan a \"long distance\" wedding, the Circle S Ranch is the PERFECT place, and the people to work with are superb! \r\rMy daughter and son in law had some very special and unique twists that they hoped to do for the wedding. Amy and Mary and staff were delighted to make their dreams come true--and they did. From the superb food (farm to table) to special, unique drinks to the gorgeous Kansas setting it was truly the dream wedding. There's no way to begin to tell you in this space about the food--but believe me, it was beyond our expectations even! Not only a joy to the taste buds, but also a delight to the eye! Even my cookbook author/food show friend who attended was impressed! \r\rAll the \"twists\" we threw at Mary and Amy, they never blinked an eye. But said \"we can do that.\" And then we'd plan. They were truly there to make the day special, and make it all happen.\r\rVery few of the guests had ever been to Kansas, so it was a beautiful spot to showcase our state! Guests were delighted (and kept their cameras with them at all times!) to see the buffalo peering over the fence at the ceremony! Later that evening as the guests stood around the fire making s'mores (yes, Circle S provided), they were in awe of the mustang and long horns romping behind the fence. The setting in the gorgeous green hills was just stunning. \r\rI could go on and on, but you get the picture. It was a great weekend for us all--thanks to the Circle S Ranch and staff! \r\r

It really is Kansas at it's best. Gorgeous rolling hills and prairie. Beautiful old trees and farm equipment. But, they also provide all the modern conveniences you need to throw a great party for 200 people. Our friends are still talking about the views--and the buffalo of course.\r\rFood:\rWe asked Circle S to switch things up and source all the food locally. Not only did they agree to do that, they managed to turn out a simply amazing meal--all made from food grown at nearby farms.\r\rAs you can probably tell from my gushing, we just fell in love with this place. If you've got the opportunity to get married here, you should do it!

Words cannot begin to describe how wonferful Circle S Ranch was from beginning to end! On our first visit to the Ranch, we knew that was where our dream wedding would be. Mary, Amy and the entire Team made our wedding perfect. Our wedding party came in nearly a week before the wedding and the entire Team made it feel like home. We ate all of our meals there at the Ranch and they were all amazing. Our Rehearsal Dinner and Reception Dinner were both especially fantastic, and their breakfast is something that should not be missed! Having all of our immediate family members stay there at the Ranch with us allowed the two families the time to relax and get to know eachother better. The memories we made just sitting on the porch with coffee watching the sunrise, our roasting smores over the campfire in the evening are ones that all of us will never forget. It seemed that the Circle S Team even had a special connection to \"mother nature\" who provided us with an amazing thunder shower and \"firework\" show that amazed all of our guests each night. I live in Washington State and for a bride to plan a wedding 1800+ miles away in Kansas can be a nerve wracking ordeal. But, they made it so easy and simple for me. Each time I had a question it was answered quickly and with great detail. Having been in the wedding planning business, I know how difficult it can be to meet time lines, but Circle S never missed one. We had 200 guests at the wedding and dinner was served right on time and everything was HOT and tasted fresh and wonderful. The venue itself is second to none. The natural beauty of the Ranch will take your breath away. I cannot say enough about the Ranch and the Staff. I HIGHLY recommend the Ranch and know that my husband and I plan to go back as often as we can. They treated us and all of our guests like we were family and the Ranch, Mary, Amy and everyone else at the Ranch will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Amy and Mary are truly amazing to work with! Our families and us were blown away! Everything went as planned with no bumps. We had the place for the whole weekend and they made us feel like family! All of our guests were blown away too. Had many of them tell us it was the best reception venue they had ever been to. The food is awesome! We had breakfast two days, lunch one day and of course the reception dinner. Everything was good ole home cooking! It is a bit off the beaten path but with the few signs we put up, no one had any problem finding it. If your looking for a laid back atmosphere this is the place. The setting is so peaceful. The views are fabulous! The Bison and Longhorns make you feel like your in the wild wild west. All the kids had a blast petting the ponies and riding the mechanical horse. Everything is first class at the ranch! The rooms are amazing and the beds are so comfy! I can't say enough about Amy, Mary and the Circle S Ranch! Truly Genuine people! We will be returning soon just to stay for a weekend! Amazing!

Amy and Mary are truly amazing to work with! Our families and us were blown away! Everything went as planned with no bumps. We had the place for the whole weekend and they made us feel like family! All of our guests were blown away too. Had many of them tell us it was the best reception venue they had ever been to. The food is awesome! We had breakfast two days, lunch one day and of course the reception dinner. Everything was good ole home cooking! It is a bit off the beaten path but with the few signs we put up, no one had any problem finding it. If your looking for a laid back atmosphere this is the place. The setting is so peaceful. The views are fabulous! The Bison and Longhorns make you feel like your in the wild wild west. All the kids had a blast petting the ponies and riding the mechanical horse. Everything is first class at the ranch! The rooms are amazing and the beds are so comfy! I can't say enough about Amy, Mary and the Circle S Ranch! Truly Genuine people! We will be returning soon just to stay for a weekend! Amazing!

On our first visit to the ranch, we were excited about the thought of having all our friends and family together for the whole weekend in such a beautiful setting. \r\rWhen the big weekend finally arrived, we found our experience to be even better than we could have ever imagined! The rooms were pristine, each one decorated with its own unique theme. We spent Friday afternoon relaxing on the porch, throwing the football around on the lawn, and staring out at the beautiful scenery. It was a great opportunity for both sides of the wedding party to get to know each other before everyone showed up for the rehearsal dinner. \r\rThe rehearsal dinner was EXCELLENT; you can tell that Corey puts a lot of love into his cooking-our guests were going on and on about how good everything tasted. After all the guests left that evening, the wedding party enjoyed the hot tub and a big bonfire complete with s'mores. \r\rThe actual wedding day was just as wonderful. The staff was so helpful and eager to provide us with anything we could possibly need. They were so good, yet you didn't even realize they were there as they did everything so discreetly and professionally. \r\rWe planned this wedding from Colorado, and Amy stayed in contact with us and helped us throughout the entire planning process. Mary (the owner) and the rest of the staff are such a pleasure to work with, and we could not have felt more welcome. My husband and I went to the Circle S Ranch and Country Inn to get married this last April, and the experience was more than I ever hoped for! We eloped just the two of us because we didn't want the whole big fairy tale wedding, but getting married at the ranch was a fairy tale in itself! Everything was gorgeous and we felt so at home. The staff was exceptional- Food was great- amazing scenery- everything was perfect! We couldn't have dreamed it to be anything but what it turned out to be. I completly and totally recomend anyone to choose Circle S Ranch and Country Inn for anything from Elopments, Weddings and Anaversaries to a simple romantic weekend getaway. I couldn't be happier with the experience reveived while there!

We spent the entire wedding weekend at Circle S Ranch and everything was perfect. We loved having our family and friends share the bed and breakfast with us. Having the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all in one place made it so much more relaxing and easy on our guests. Every single one of our meals at the ranch were outstanding. The scenery is breath taking. The long horn steer, buffalo, horses, ponies, wild flowers in the fields, peonies in the gardens, birds singing, the babbling brook at the ceremony just make for a great experience. We could not have found a better bunch of people to plan a wedding with. Mary(the owner) and her \"family\" are so accommodating and easy to work with that you become part of the family by the end of the weekend. They all love what they do and it shows. I would recommend Circle S Ranch to anyone as a wedding venue or just a great place to get away from it all. We can't wait to go back.

I had my reception at the Circle S Ranch in August of 2005 and it was such a beautiful place to have it. I grew up with horses so having my reception surrounded by beautiful country side and animals was perfect for me and my husband. The staff was great to work with and extremely helpful and welcoming to everyone in my wedding party as well as all my 350 guests!
