We booked the wedding date approximately three months before the wedding. We were not told there would be a marathon and running festival in downtown Baltimore that would close the majority of streets needed to access the boat and general area and severely limit parking on the same date and time. We were informed of this only five days before our wedding. I would not have booked that date knowing how much more difficult it would be for our 70 guests to arrive. I spent around 15 hours across the five days before my wedding calling the marathon organizers (six separate conversations) and area hotels and parking garages because City Cruises did not take the initiative to find this out.We had a dozen or so elderly guests with limited mobility that because of marathon road closures had to walk long distances to the boat and a few arrived in great pain. In addition, they had to wait a long time to board the boat, in the rain, despite that we were told we could have early boarding due to the inconvenience.I was told there would be a room for the bride and party to get dressed, but it was a dirty storage room with huge windows with view of the outside dock where people could see me getting dressed. In addition, they did not help us stick to our schedule so we had almost no dancing time as planned, the DJ did not play most of the songs we request in advance and played his own choices. I asked in advance where the ceremony backdrop would be if we needed to have the ceremony inside the boat instead of on the upper, open deck. I was told the altar would be in front of the staircase, but this wasn't the case. I only found out when I walked down the aisle that the ceremony was in front of the DJ booth. We requested a partial refund and got absolutely nothing discounted. We did not get any compensations, extras or even any admission that they were at fault. We could have been offered an open bar, for example or a better food package, longer cruise time, something. I would have not written negative reviews if they had even attempted to make right on poor customer experiences.

The best wedding reception I have planned and attended : My own 😇. Heather and Taryn were amazing in helping my dream reception come for a very affordable price ... my husband and I paid for 60 guests and then we allowed other guests to join and pay for their own tickets . Heather was awesome in helping us to execute this plan. ! Both Heather and Taryn were very responsive to emails and phone. They were both patient . The whole crew on the ship was PHENOMENAL!!! They accommodated all guests needs and requests . The DJ played music that catered to our style and he was so much fun !! The boat is handicap accessible , Taryn made sure we were on the first deck because we had a lot of people with mobility issues. The food was great , the tableDecor was amazing ... we will definitely be back again

We had our wedding with Spirit Cruises two days ago, and it was AMAZING. I have to write it right now, because if you are thinking about it, stop thinking and book it. Lakeya Carter was our coordinator and she was AMAZING. This is a venue of true professionals with personal touch. The food was FANTASTIC. I should admit i did not have high expectations (coming from 10 course traditional Russian dinner), and i was wowed. Many guests kept talking to me about the food (and desserts!) post event. Mushed potatoes were to die for. Velvet cake was amazing. The set up was impeccable. DJ rocked. And the view is unbeatable - could not have asked for better backdrop. But all i want to talk about is Lakeya. She addressed EVERY SINGLE QUESTION i had - and every time she was creative, prompt, and accommodating, Being a \"perfectionist\" i was worried about the little details of the wedding, and perfect they were thanks to the wonderful Spirit Cruises crew.

Nia and staff So, let me write you a glowing, shouting from the roof tops, THANK YOU. Everything (just about) was perfect for our day. Your waitstaff was excellent (polite, efficient and helpful), the food was dee-licious(!), the bartending staff was excellent (kept up with the orders with a smile), and your set up crew are hardworking (on a hot day, always willing). Thank you Nia for going through all the extra steps with our live butterflies, ice sculpture and anything else that was above and beyond I know I was not easy to work with I am a perfectionist. You were amazing Neek Meek and the families thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Where to begin- Getting married on the Spirit of Baltimore was such an amazing experience! The entire staff was extremely helpful and so sweet. The food was amazing and the night was so much fun. The atmosphere is so nice for a mellow, unique, and fun wedding. We had a smaller wedding and about every guest came to us the next day and said that was the best wedding they'd ever been too. I can't thank the Spirit of Baltimore enough for making the best day of my life, so much sweeter.

Where to begin- Getting married on the Spirit of Baltimore was such an amazing experience! The entire staff was extremely helpful and so sweet. The food was amazing and the night was so much fun. The atmosphere is so nice for a mellow, unique, and fun wedding. We had a smaller wedding and about every guest came to us the next day and said that was the best wedding they'd ever been too. I can't thank the Spirit of Baltimore enough for making the best day of my life, so much sweeter.

Spirit cruises was absolutely wonderful! We first went to a \"tour\" of the ship and Q&A session for couples thinking about booking Spirit. Nia was very helpful with all the questions we had. We ended up booking them the same day and set a date also. We had received a discount for booking in the off season, which helped out greatly! Nia had set us up with a sample lunch cruise so we could taste all the food and get a feel for how the day would go. We had more questions and Nia was just an email or phone call away. All the staff on the day of was very helpful and professional. They went above and beyond to got us whatever our guests or we needed. We had a small wedding of about 60-70 guests and everyone was comfortable- plenty of room on board! We also liked the many great photo ops with the cruise of the Baltimore Inner Harbor, such as the Key Bridge and taking group photos on the upper deck. Our ceremony was inside and everything was set up just the way i had wanted it to be. Everyone is still telling me how much fun and different it was compared to the traditional ball room venue. We signed up for the package that included cake- from Baltimore Cakery, DJ services, food and open bar. Having all these in one place really made it easy and we saved some $$ by having it all with one vendor!If you are thinking about booking with them.. Please do so! You will not regret it! :)

Very unprofessional and plain bad business practice - don't waste your time. I had spent a lot of time writing back and forth with Nia, who was my only point of contact for Spirit. Not only does the website advertise wrong pricing (I was informed it was outdated prices after I had seen the price increases in my proposal, misleading advertising if you ask me), but my appointment was cancelled only an hour before the appointment time. \r\rI had made an appointment to see the Spirit of Baltimore with Nia over a week in advance, an appointment time that she gave me which I worked my schedule around to make. The day of our appointment, Nia called me twice to confirm our appointment, but I wasn't next to my phone at that exact moment. When I received her voicemails, only 20 minutes later, I immediately called back to confirm, which was well in advance of our appointment, and she didn't pick up so I left a voicemail. Right as I was walking out the door to the appointment, Nia called and said that since she hadn't heard from me, she made another appointment during that time and I would have to reschedule. She was extremely rude to me and acted as if I was inconveniencing her. \r\rI was fully prepared to put the deposit down today at the appointment, you just lost a customer.

Everything was so easy. You're assigned a wedding coordinator and she is FABULOUS! Just had our reception on the Spirit of Baltimore. It was absolutely amazing. I'm most impressed with the wedding/event coordinator Jaime Legg- she worked with us sending hundreds of emails back and forth making sure every detail was taken care of and planned out. We ended up renting out the entire ship - both floors- so we could accomodate our guests, a photobooth, a larger dance floor, etc. We also rented out extra time before and after the dinner cruise (this was very necessary because the dinner cruise is too short for a standard wedding- 3hrs) When we went on our trial cruise, I knew we were in good hands because the boat staff were all SO FRIENDLY and HELPFUL. There were a couple of \"obstacles\" that occurred from the day we booked, til the day of our wedding. Jaime worked with us until our needs were met and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her, even though im sure it was a pain to be the liaison between us and the different vendors. The Wedding cake & DJ's and catering staff were all included in the rental. The one-stop shop was VERY appealing to me. The only problem is - one of my guests had her Iphone stolen from her table when she got up to dance for a while- and we only had 125 guests, our close family and friends, they would have never stolen her phone. So we suspect it was one of the staff members but we'll never know for sure... When I reported this after the wedding they didn't seem to pay much attention to that complaint. But that stuff happens I guess. It sure doesn't take away from the amazing night that my husband and I had this past June! Wish we could do it again. If you want a unique wedding that leaves all your guests raving about \"the best wedding they've ever been to,\" Baltimore Spirit Cruise is the way to go!!!

My husband and I were married aboard Spirit Cruises lines this September. Our experience was absolutely outstanding from the first time I contacted Jamie to the cake tasting to the big day. Whenever I would call or email with questions I always got a quick response and this made the whole process go smoothly. The prices were very reasonable and included so much and the vendors they recommended were great as well. I would recommend Spirit to any bride who wants a beautiful wedding in Baltimore and who wants the peace of mind that everything will be handled and delivered correctly.

I could not have been more pleased with my expereince with the Spirit of Baltimore Cruise Ship for my wedding. We are coming up on our one year anniversary and I can still remember everything as if it was yesterday. Having our wedding on the ship gave us our very own personal coordinator. We were lucky enough to get Jaime who was nothing short of remarkable. Any questions I may have had or anything I needed she was right there to help me out. She made sure that everything went according to plan and with my timeline. The packages they offered were more than reasonable and all inlusive. I loved that for a certain price we got the food, liquor, dj, cake and more and didnt have to go to other outside vendors. Everything was handled all in one place.To date we are still getting compliments from guests who said it was the best wedding they have ever been too and it had the best food they have ever had. My husband and I were so pleased with everything we have decided to take a cruise again for our anniversary. Back to where it all started. I highly recommend this venue to everyone!

We are coming up on our one year anniversary and I can still remember everything as if it was yesterday. Having our wedding on the ship gave us our very own personal coordinator. We were lucky enough to get Jaime who was nothing short of remarkable. Any questions I may have had or anything I needed she was right there to help me out. She made sure that everything went according to plan and with my timeline. The packages they offered were more than reasonable and all inlusive. I loved that for a certain price we got the food, liquor, dj, cake and more and didnt have to go to other outside vendors. Everything was handled all in one place.To date we are still getting compliments from guests who said it was the best wedding they have ever been too and it had the best food they have ever had. My husband and I were so pleased with everything we have decided to take a cruise again for our anniversary. Back to where it all started. I highly recommend this venue to everyone!

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our wedding aboard the Spririt of Baltimore. We decided to get married here because of the reasonable price and the convienece. Everything needed for the ceremony and reception was provided by the company. It took a lot of stress out of the planning. The ceremony was perfect, the reception was fun, and the food was amazing.
