City View Event Center is unique and beautiful event center located on the riverside in the heart of downtown Toledo! This picturesque venue offers panoramic views of the Maumee River for couples to have as their ceremonial backdrop which is surely one of a kind view and experience! City View Event Center has been thoughtfully designed to give couples a romantic, urban-chic aesthetic for their big day. Their main ceremony space gives soon-to-be-weds a stunning view of the river and cityscape. Your wedding arch can be placed right on the red brick walkway, creating a one of a kind view only found at City View. After your ceremony you can then take the water taxi for photos across the river to downtown or on the river for your phots! You and your loved ones will then move to the newly renovated elegant ballroom for your reception and cocktail hour where you enter the bar which is full of a stone lite up bar, wooden floors and double doors that lead to our new and large ballroom. Your guests are greeted with 3 large crystal chandeliers and ceiling draping along with large windows giving your guests the ultimate WOW factor. Outside the ballroom your guests have access to the patio which is furnished with nice lounge furniture and propane fire pits for your guests to enjoy their cocktails and evening under the stars and Edison bulb lighting! You can even have dancing outside under the stars and stunning roof lighting. City view also have two suites available one for the ladies which has a vanity area for getting ready, and a relaxing environment where you can enjoy unlimited mimosas and brunch! The other suite is a groom suite with a man cave feel enjoy a fully stocked beer fridge on arrival, a pool table, dart board, leather furniture and brunch while you get ready for your ceremony. I had my event this past fall at city view and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. Honestly there were a few times I honestly don't know what I would have done without Brooke. Whenever I reached out to her she was always so kind and accommodating no matter what I needed she always seemed happy to assist and give me the help I needed with my planning. The coordination is a HUGE plus with Forevermore and I couldn't be more thankful for Hannah my coordinator. This is a newer venue and we have nothing but great things to say along with our family and friends. Seriously if you are considering a venue please give this place a tour it's stunning.

I had my event at City View and it was everything I could ever imagine plus more! The food was great I know they had a chef change in the middle of the year and the new chef is FABULOUS! The bartenders were so nice and friendly also knew how to work the crowd which you don't see at most venues. I know their a tad pricier but worth every penny. They helped me with design, their portal is super helpful with the planning process and if I ever needed help I just reached out. Brooke and Mia were the best. Highly recommend this gem.

I booked with City View for my wedding a year and a half in advance. I do feel like when I booked they were more attentive than closer to the wedding day, potentially because the venue was getting busier. There were multiple planning tools provided to us in the beginning that we were never able to follow up on. It was frustrating though to try and coordinate with other vendors, but never get emails back from our venue. I do feel like they could be more organized with the business side of running their venue. For instance, when signing the contract we went through multiple revisions before we felt comfortable signing, due to multiple important parts being left out. The venue does come with a day of coordinator that you start working with 3 months before your wedding day. I had to be a little pushy to initiate that planning process and it didn't start until 2 months before the wedding. We were then informed that the coordinator we were working with for two months would be unavailable for half of our wedding day and we would need to switch coordinators for the rehearsal and the ceremony/reception. Honestly, this ended up being a huge blessing. The day of our wedding there were other events going on that caused the entrance to our venue to be blocked off, which caused lots of panic the morning of and I wish the venue would have informed us of this prior. We did utilize the bridal suite and the grooms room for the day of. I don't regret booking either, because it was nice to be on site, but I do wish their set up was better. The rooms share multiple doors, so we were constantly avoiding seeing each other and we had to play music so we couldn't hear each others conversations. Additionally, our first day of coordinator told me while I was arriving that I needed to call all of the vendors and inform guests of the road closure and a back way to get in. I do feel like the coordinator should have handled reaching out to the vendors instead. I also printed copies of a seven page set up guide for the reception and ceremony spaces that I went over with my first coordinator ahead of time, but errors were still made and my florist ended up staying over and setting up most of the reception space to do it correctly. Furthermore, there was an issue with the restrooms being stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Despite our efforts this was not corrected. However, when the coordinators switched, Hannah truly came in to save the day and make the rest of the day run so smoothly. She had a boat moved that was docked directly behind our ceremony space and figured out the parking situation with the other events going on for our guests. She also ensured ALL the restrooms had enough toilet paper. She kept everyone on schedule and made sure the bridal party and guests were happy. She was AMAZING. The food at the reception was good, we did attend a tasting beforehand to pick out what we wanted. The bar staff was super helpful in setting up, as well as for the cocktail hour and reception. There was a drainage problem, and maintenance was working through some holes in the floor directly next to the sweetheart table during the reception, which I understand there are problems, just a little inconvenient. Overall, this venue was fine. I do feel like it is overpriced for what you get, but our wedding day ended up being perfect.

Not what we were expecting for our big day. We paid extra for the grooms suite… that was a big mistake. So many of the balls for the pool table were missing, the dart board didn’t work, the couches were very worn down to the point where groomsmen(who never complain) actually complained about them. And the TV didn’t have a remote so they couldn’t change the channel. A majority of our guests did not enjoy the food. The chicken was dry, the potatoes were cold, and the beef was chewy. I would stay away from any dish that has these. One of the huge things that was so upsetting for us was that some of our tables were getting dripped on the whole night. Including our parent table. I understand this may not be something they can control, but it got to the point where our parents were sitting at other tables so they didn’t get wet. I had guests complain about this to me during my dollar dance as well because they were getting dripped on while waiting in line to dance. I didn’t think it was that big of a deal until our parents mentioned something about it the next day. Had we known, we would of mentioned something to someone when it was happening.We absolutely loved our wedding day of coordinator, Mia! She was a breath of fresh air and made our day run so smooth for us! I recommend her 1000%!!! The bartenders literally SAVED the day when it came to bustling my dress before the reception. I had a huge ball gown and my mom, who went to the fitting and was taught how to bustle it…had a little too much fun on the party bus. No one knew how to bustle my gown until my groom went and asked the bartenders for help! And they came to the rescue! Would we have it there again? No. Would we hire Mia if we had to plan again at a different venue? Absolutely. It is a very pretty venue! We specifically chose this venue based on the color scheme, the inside area, and the bar area! I fell in love with the bridal suit! But the selling point for us was the wedding planner that came with it. I was so excited about having a wedding planner and it was just not a good experience. We were supposed to get a checklist of what to do every month. Our wedding was in August. We stopped receiving a checklist in November of 2022. We only received 2 checklists the whole time and it was the first 2 months after we booked. Brooke was supposed to be our wedding planner. She sent me a portal and never explained how to use it and being someone that is not tech friendly, the portal was pointless for me. Brooke did not help us at all. Especially when we didn’t go with her company for flowers. Our budget for flowers was 3000-4000, and she still quoted us for over 8,000!!! My mind was blown. Until Mia reached out to us, when she was supposed to(this is not at all Mia’s fault), we had basically no direction. This being my first wedding I’ve planned, I was pretty much lost the whole time until Mia came along! Thank gosh for Mia!! It truly seemed like Brooke had other brides to work with and I was placed on the back burner. Very disheartening honestly. I made it clear in the beginning that I would need help planning our wedding, but I unfortunately did not get help even though the venue “came with” a wedding planner.

I’m not sure if she was frazzled from being late- by 15 minutes but we had vendors coming in for hair and makeup and wanted to steam dresses beforehand. In addition we were supposed to have help putting stuff into cars and getting packed up towards the end of the night, but instead of going to our hotel room and spending our first night together as husband and wife we were the ones packing everything up. We went through the forevermore florals as I was under the impression that was our only option. Whole flowers from my bouquet were falling apart and off my bouquet before I even walked down the aisle. I was super disappointed. Also, Brooke set up the flowers, didn’t say hello or congratulations, and left. Ultimately our day went well but a lot of issues could have been avoided. Obviously no one cares about your wedding more than you do, but in this business if I’m paying for a planner in the cost I don’t think I should have felt as stressed or overwhelmed as I did. Personally for the money we paid I think we should have gotten the amenities promised to us (showing up on time, giving vendors their envelopes with tips before they leave, and helping us load the car before just leaving.)

This is the most beautiful space in Toledo! I loved that everything was inclusive from the bar and food packages set up and help with literally every aspect of the wedding. Mia was my day of coordinator and I would not have been able to get through the process or the day without her. Brooke was always able to help answer my questions, especially when it came to the details about the day. The food was also amazing! I cannot say enough good things about City View!!

So happy with our choice! The cityscape was beautiful for an outdoor wedding and the indoor space is very updated and nice; I also love the patio attached! I especially liked our day-of coordinator, Mia Snow, she did a great job staying on top of everything (even when we thought we needed the rain backup plan)

City View was by far our dream venue. It was perfect for reception and for the ceremony. The views are unbeatable for the ceremony along the water with the city skyline. The space for the reception is perfect to dance and have the night of your life! We could have not asked for a more perfect wedding or venue. Brooke and her team were completely accommodating and made sure everything went smoothly before and the day of our wedding. This venue not only has the perfect space but they also have an awesome bridal and groom suite and coordination services included which could not have been better. This venue is an all in one package that makes things way less stressful when planning. We cannot thank city view enough for making our dream wedding come true!!!!!

City View was by far our dream venue. It was perfect for reception and for the ceremony. The views are unbeatable for the ceremony along the water with the city skyline. As a former fundraising/event planner myself I can not brag enough about City View! I grew up and have lived in Toledo most of my life and was excited that there was a new venue for weddings. From the minute we signed the contract we were in communication with Brooke and her planners from Forevermore, and always received a reply that day or within 24 hours. They provided a 'To do' list each month and helped find vendors with their preferred vendor list - which helped in the search. She created an aisle planner link for me and this was my 'go to' spot for inputting guests names/food choices/seating. The venue is absolutely beautiful and decorated elegantly - other venues would charge extra for the lighting and fabric! Anything we wanted/needed we could get through Brooke! Hands down the best venue in Toledo!

They provided a 'To do' list each month and helped find vendors with their preferred vendor list - which helped in the search. The venue is absolutely beautiful and decorated elegantly - other venues would charge extra for the lighting and fabric! Anything we wanted/needed we could get through Brooke! Hands down the best venue in Toledo!

We also took advantage of the bridal and groom's suites to get ready and just relax before the rest of the day took off. Overall we felt we received great value for the price we paid. 2022 was their first full year in business for this venue, but overall there were just a few minor issues we encountered that didn't even come close to ruining our day. No one even noticed but me & my husband. Thank you Brooke & team!

This space is beautiful and fit our 150 guests very comfortably. We had the ceremony outside with the gorgeous city view background and the reception inside. The fact that this space had everything included (ceremony, reception, food and servers, alcohol and bartenders, and a coordinator) is what sold it for us. We live out of state and wanted to limit the amount of different vendors we had so this made the day very organized and stress free. The bridal suite and groom room to get ready in were so convenient and made the morning so much fun. The food was also fantastic. 10/10 recommend. If I could redo this day I would not change a single thing!

This space is beautiful and fit our 150 guests very comfortably. We had the ceremony outside with the gorgeous city view background and the reception inside. The fact that this space had everything included (ceremony, reception, food and servers, alcohol and bartenders, and a coordinator) is what sold it for us. We were in a unique situation when City View first opened. We had already put a deposit down on a different venue prior to their opening but we toured their space for our ceremony. As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to switch and it was the best decision we made! Brooke was so helpful throughout the planning process and Hannah ran our day so well. Our day was absolutely beautiful and perfect and it was all thanks to their hard work!

I cannot hype this place up enough - City View was an amazing venue for our wedding! Brooke made the planning process incredibly easy, and on the day of the wedding Julia and Mia took care of LITERALLY everything. I spent the day with my bridesmaids in the bridal suite (without a care in the world), we were able to have our ceremony on the riverfront, and danced the night away in the ballroom. The venue is absolutely beautiful, but above that - the coordinators and rest of the team make it the greatest place to host a wedding. You will not regret booking City View if you get the opportunity.

I can't say enough amazing things about this venue. Our wedding day was perfect thanks to City Views awesome team! The entire planning process was so simple. Their team was so accommodating to our vision. They were very quick to answer any questions we had. They have a wedding planner there on site, which made our day a whole lot easier, my husband and I didn't need to worry about a thing. The space was beautiful, and the bridal suite and grooms suite are perfect for getting ready. They also give you the option to do an indoor or outdoor ceremony which we really liked that flexibility. Everything was perfect from start to finish. We cannot recommend this venue enough!

We cannot say enough good things about City View!! We had our wedding there this past weekend and wow. What an incredible pleasant and stress free experience from start to finish! Brooke is WONDERFUL at what she does! She could not have made the experience more perfect. Her calm caring approach with each detail gives a bride like myself the ability to put all my trust in her and just enjoy the process! Her assistant Bailey was also amazing! We had rainy weather on my day and they did all in their power to accommodate. It was a dream. And the venue itself was gorgeous clean and more than I could have asked for. Our favorite parts were the bridal/groom suites. This really sets them apart! My husband and his guys were so happy to have their own comfortable private space for the big day. The girls and I had a blast in our beautiful room as well! My husband and I highly recommend City View Event Center!!
