I truly do not have enough words to say how incredibly amazing the City Winery HV staff and the venue itself was for our special day. To start, Lerika was our on site event sales manager / logistical planner / main point of contact from our first tour of the venue, all the way through to our reception on the day of. She was incredible to work with, extremely responsive, flexible, and caring throughout a lengthy and involved planning process. Working with her was wonderful, and all future couples booking this venue will be so lucky to work with her. As for the venue, it was a dream come true. The space is so unique, the sound system is amazing - thank you to Connor for all our production needs, and our guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was and how cool the overall ambiance of the space was. The entire staff was so professional and so on the ball, and Kim ensured our timeline for food service was adhered to as best as possible - she was also fantastic to work with. The after party space was also incredibly unique, and truly felt like a whole new location - our guests couldn't believe such a different space existed on site. If you have it in your budget and the season is right (we were married late September) I highly recommend adding a fire pit or two to the after party for additional fun. All in all I could not endorse City Winery HV more, it was all perfect and the entire experience from start to finish was stress free and fun! Reviewed on 11-10-2023

I don't even know where to start! Our October 2023 wedding at CWHV was the best day / night ever. It far surpassed anything we could've ever dreamed of — and that's due to both the beauty of the venue and the quality of the service. From booking the venue 1.5 years in advance through to the day of our wedding, Lerika (and her team) were so responsive and accommodating. There was no question or request too big or small, and they made the planning experience so incredibly seamless. The day of, their on-site team made us feel so special and ensured everything went off without a hitch. We had a bit of rain in the forecast, and while it could've been a whole stressful situation since we planned to have our ceremony outside, they pivoted quickly and made the rain plan even more amazing than what we originally intended. Our guests were in awe of the space and the flow and the overall beauty of the venue. TL;DR get married here!!!P.S. We also stayed in the guest barn on site and it was stunning! Pictures don't do it justice, and being able to stay on the property was a game changer. Reviewed on 14-01-2024

From our very first visit, we were so impressed with the hospitality at City Winery Hudson Valley. We love the rustic industrial space and wanted a venue that could be revisited in other capacities. CWHV certainly outdoes itself in this regard. The food is absolutely delicious and the wine is amazing. The events team, especially Lerika, were so great to work with from start to finish. We had such a wonderful experience having our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and after party at CWHV. Reviewed on 11-01-2024

Could not say better things about City Winery. The venue is ridiculously gorgeous, with beautiful outdoor spaces for the ceremony and cocktail hour (the weather was perfect for our early Oct wedding), and a reception hall with tons of character (it's a converted grist mill with beautiful wood interiors and much of the original mill machinery on display overhead and on the walls). The staff took excellent care of us. The food was fantastic. And most importantly, our guests had a wonderful time.If you're anything like us, there's no way you'd choose a venue just based on reviews. But I highly recommend you visit to see for yourself whether CW could be the right fit. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Reviewed on 14-11-2023

Beautiful wedding venue. We had a few challenges with the venue double booking the airbnb space on the property, where we were planning to stay that weekend. But the issue was resolved well. City Winery Hudson Valley is an incredible spot for a wedding. There are so many options for each piece of the wedding and they are flexible and accommodating to any requests you may have. Highly recommend!!! We had a great experience overall :) Reviewed on 01-11-2023

HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!!! Best decision we made and will be yours too. Our guests could not stop talking about what a unique, special and cool venue it was. We had our rehearsal dinner, stay all the way thru our after party there, and it was seamless. The staff there is top notch (specifically Lerika who we predominantly worked with), and our guests even commented on how wonderful the team was. The food is out of this world good (especially for wedding food) and we will be coming back each anniversary. The day was perfect thank you to City Winery and their 10/10 team!! City Winery Hudson Valley was an amazing choice for our wedding venue! We were looking for somewhere rustic but elegant where the venue would handle the catering and other logistics, and it totally fit the bill. The property is beautiful with many choices of different spaces for each component of the event. Every member of the team is a real professional who is very experienced in putting on events; they were very well-prepared and organized a great schedule that was accommodating to our specific needs and they stayed calm under pressure. The food was delicious and left our guests raving. The only negative I can think of about our experience is that we had a little trouble with City Winery’s responsiveness early on in our wedding planning process (which was probably due to the large number of events they host), but this was rectified with very consistent communication in the immediate lead-up to the event. Despite the fact that they do host a large number of weddings, we felt incredibly special and very well taken care of on our wedding day. Would highly recommend using City Winery for any event in the Hudson Valley! Reviewed on 31-08-2023

Our wedding was perfect from start to finish at city winery. The staff was so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole planning process. This place is a well oiled machine. They know exactly how to organize a wedding and took so much of the stress out of it for us!! The atmosphere is gorgeous indoor and outdoor. The food is amazing. All our guests are still raving about it! We had a band and a DJ and the acoustics are ideal for music sound quality. The wait staff was awesome. The boiler bar is such a fun environment for an after party. Seriously can't recommend this place enough for a wedding!! All of our guests keep telling us how classy and fun our wedding was, everything we could have asked for! Reviewed on 01-07-2023

We had our wedding at City Winery Hudson Valley on 5/13/23 and could not have dreamt of a better experience—from our first time touring the venue to the day itself. The event manager Lauren is such an amazing asset to City Winery and she helped us create a vision for our wedding and then execute that vision to absolute perfection. Every single guest that attended our wedding described it as “magical” and I truly couldn’t think of a better word. We had our ceremony outside by the waterfront, our cocktail hour in the courtyard, and our reception in the main falls venue. Each space is so beautiful and dreamy and fit our guests perfectly and the transition from one space to the next as the night went on was seamless. The restaurant remained open during our wedding, but we never would’ve known as the staff did an amazing job of keeping our event separate and private. The food and drinks were amazing as well!Overall I really can’t recommend City Winery enough. From the start I knew I could trust the staff to make my wedding dreams come true and they couldn’t have done a better job. Do not hesitate to consider this venue! Reviewed on 31-05-2023

The communication with the staff and coordinator was great. I was having a small intimate wedding (50 people) and they were so flexible on what I wanted to do and helped make it happen. Trust goes both ways and they trusted my thoughts and opinions and I trusted them with the rest! I had my ceremony outside, my wedding was in the gallery room and we had cocktail hour outside on the gallery patio. Our families absolutely love the vibe and the food was delicious. The staff was also amazing, very attentive and kind which means a lot! Thank you so much again for an amazing wedding! Reviewed on 17-11-2022
Ruthie Birger(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-10-2021 We had an amazing experience getting married at City Winery. Our wedding was in October 2021, and we'd gotten engaged just a few months earlier. They were able to work within our very tight timeline, scheduling the tour and tasting right away, and responding quickly and flexibly with all our menu and setting choices. They worked very well with all our external vendors, and even built our doughnut-tower-cake with the doughnuts we brought up from Brooklyn. On the actual day, it was overcast and slightly rainy, and the staff did such an incredible job accommodating us so we could still have the ceremony and cocktail hour outside, going so far as to set up tents over the seats last minute, and then carrying them over with the guests to the cocktail hour in the Courtyard. The reception went super well too-- our guests are still talking about the food and the enthusiastic wine pours a year later! We just came back to stay there for our 1 year anniversary, and we were so well taken care of again, with a special anniversary dinner, and lots of wine and love from the staff. Aside from the great service, it's just such a beautiful setting, and the food and wine are delicious. Would highly recommend this venue. Thanks City Winery! Reviewed on 31-10-2022
Steven Kozar(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2022 My wife & I had an August wedding at City Winery Hudson Valley and had the absolute most incredible experience! As someone who works in events, I was very impressed with their (Lerika’s) level of service not only the day of the event but particularly leading up to the wedding. Lerika was always quick to respond, meet with us, and collaborate to make our vision a reality throughout the entire process. We felt totally taken care of and heard. Our wedding (120 people) fit perfectly & intimately in the Courtyard, the Barrel Room was a great indoor/outdoor cocktail hour and the Main Falls Venue was more than enough space for our ceremony! The food was incredible, service great & since the venue hosts many concerts the DJ’s sound was incredible on their sound speakers. One of the things we enjoyed about City Winery was the ability to “take over” City Winery for the weekend as we booked the Entire Barn for the groomsman & bridesmaid to get ready (and bride & groom sleep the weekend), a sibling lunch to kickoff the weekend & a farewell brunch on the patio.Don’t hesitate to book this venue because there aren’t that many reviews. Book it because it’s truly a step above all the other cookie cutter wedding venues that have been doing weddings the same way for decades! Reviewed on 17-10-2022
Eliel Talo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-04-2022 We were looking for a wedding venue in the Hudson Valley, accessible from the city, that would be warm, inviting, and a great space to hear music. As soon as we saw City Winery Hudson Valley, we knew it was the perfect choice. The space is gorgeous inside and out, and they seamlessly transitioned from the ceremony (which we did indoors) to the cocktail hour, to the reception. It's so great to listen to live music in their space, and our guests were dancing all night. Their food is excellent and worth coming back for regularly (which we plan to do). The City Winery staff was incredibly helpful throughout and made everything feel very easy. We chose City Winery wines as our gift for guests, and there were very, very few left over at the end of the night. Reviewed on 07-06-2022
D L(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2021 Positives: The actual wedding day was absolutely STUNNING! The staff present the day of were so incredibly attentive and kind. The assistant coordinator for the day at city winery knew everything about my wedding and needs. The assistant coordinator was not who I had been in previous correspondence with, so I was very impressed that the information was shared properly. The food was delicious and the wine/alcohol was wonderful. The set up was beautifully done and everything looked great in the photos. The space is big enough for many photo opportunities. If I were rating the venue solely based off of the wedding day, I would give 5 stars. Negative: communication with the venue leading up to the wedding day was horrible. The main wedding coordinator (not present on the day of the wedding) was very difficult to reach throughout the months leading up to the day. Weeks would go by without a response to my email, so I had to send a lot of double messages. The coordinator was more responsive though when a payment was due, so that was definitely annoying. I am definitely someone who needed to just be kept in the loop on certain things, but the ball was definitely dropped in terms of communication. I was having a microwedding (20 ppl), so I can only imagine how much more irritating this would have been for a larger sized wedding. I would strongly recommend having your own day of coordinator to take care of setting up and cleaning up. The venue will only set up the tablescape. Again, the lead up to the wedding was rocky and anxiety provoking due to overall lack of communication from the venue. However, the day of the wedding did turn out beautifully and the food was delicious. Reviewed on 26-12-2021
Anonymous Anonymous(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-10-2021 My wife and I got married at Hudson Valley City Winery earlier this year. Our day itself was amazing, the process leading up to it was challenging at times. In the end we recommend the venue, and look forward to celebrating anniversaries to come there. We first saw the venue in 2020 and instantly fell in love. Following that initial site visit, the planning process with the venue leading up to our day was quite stressful at times to be honest. The event management team was often hard to get a hold of. They were unaccommodating regarding some simple scheduling requests. There seemed to be up-charges often along the way. What our families paid for in regards to the rehearsal dinner and the reception dinner, it leaves me wondering if the cost truly compared to the services provided. There were a few hiccups involving props and display tables on the day of the wedding, which weren't deal breakers, but could've been avoided. My biggest qualm regarding that point (prop/table issues) is that the staff lied and told us there wasn't an issue, despite all of us knowing there was an issue. From our experience, it appears the City Winery Hudson Valley team is running lean and could use more support staff. We hope the location sorts out their staffing issues, because if they do, they would truly be able to bring their service to the next level and fire on all cylinders. That all being said, the venue was beautiful. The staff (servers, bartenders, special events manager, etc.) were attentive, patient, and always willing to help make our experience amazing. The barn proved to be a great and convenient rental choice for the wedding party and families. The food was good, and the wines were great. In summary, if you're a bride/groom who has a type-a personality and likes to be involved in the whole planning process along the way, know you'll probably be testing your patience at times. Ashleigh DeRito(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2021 I just had my wedding here (summer 2021). I only had a micro wedding with around 45 people. We didn't use the big event space, only the patio and room immediately inside. It was also a destination wedding for us so all of our planning was done remotely. Overall, I think it was a great place to have a wedding and I received many compliments on how nice the wedding was. Here's some details:Venue: The venue is absolutely beautiful. There were so many great places to take photos. Even for family photos during cocktail hour, there were plenty of areas with nice backdrops. We did a cocktail hour in the boiler bar which was a really nice space too and allowed us to easily go outside and do photos. The tables and the place settings were also beautiful. The only con was that it was pretty warm inside. Our wedding was in August and the air conditioning was struggling to keep up. I did walk through the bigger event space and that felt cooler. Food: The food was delicious. We did things pretty causal and did a choice of the hamburger with fries or salmon. Many people complimented the food, even the folks who had hamburgers. For the cocktail hour we just did a self serve table with charcuterie items. It looked beautiful and was pretty good. The staff was very attentive. The only con was that not all the food came out at the same time. But there was also an accident where they dropped a bunch of plates. Ceremony: This and a couple other reasons is why I rated them four stars instead of 5. I'm not sure what happened, but they put way more chairs out than needed. My bridesmaid said they had chairs out for the wedding parties to sit down at, which she had to asked to be removed. They told me it looked like not everyone had shown up since there were a bunch of empty seats but that wasn't the case. I don't know if they were counting the wedding parties and us as guests or what. Also, we didn't hire a DJ but the venue coordinator told us that there were speakers in all areas where we can connect via bluetooth. They also said they help with the ceremony music. They did the pre ceremony and walking down the aisle music correctly, but they didn't play the exit song. Then they started playing the wrong song, then suddenly stopped, then started playing something else. Not a huge deal, but shouldn't have been that complicated. So I recommend other people have more clear instructions or have someone else do it. Pricing/Planning: When I started planning my wedding, I thought I could do it for a lot cheaper than I ended up spending. But when I initially talked to the venue coordinator, she was really nice about working with me and my budget. She came up with something that would fit my small budget. There was some flexibility too, like they waved the cake cutting fee since I opted for no other desserts. It was nice to be able to start small and then add to it with what I wanted. The planning process was okay. I felt like the venue coordinator was really responsive at first, but then over time, it seemed like it took longer and longer to get information and answers to questions. We were a few weeks out from the wedding and I still had no real concept of what it was going to be like. The venue coordinator did finally reach out and set up a meeting two and a half weeks before. It seemed like they knew what was going to happen, I just didn't yet. I recommend just requesting a meeting earlier instead of being like me and being anxious. Reviewed on 28-08-2021
