Our daughters wedding at the end of March was an absolute dream. Sydney and Melissa and their whole team were amazing to work with. The food was delicious and they treated us like we were family! I love a business that makes you feel like you were their number one priority, they had integrity and high character, and the ballroom was immaculate. The set up was beautiful and our daughter said it was more than she could’ve even imagined!! Reviewed on 03-05-2023

The venue is beautiful! I cannot say enough great things at how stunning the ballroom is. The vault was a huge hit with all our guests! Amber, Sydney, and Tori were super easy to work with and did their best to make sure our day went as well as it could. We are happy with the all the work they did for us! I will say the one thing that was disappointing was the Entrees. It was about as good as diner quality. Given the price per plate, I would have expected a bit better. The kids chicken nuggets seemed to be microwaved and I'd definitely stay away from the brisket if you are any type of foodie. Thankfully the dessert shooters and pizza were great at the end of the night. We did also have issues with the apps, dessert, and pizza being replenished. My mom had to go and request they restock it up multiple times. The reason why I didn't give more stars is the hotel situation. It was a complete nightmare for us. We had to juggle rooms as people were booked into the wrong room types. There was zero response from Jordan on any of the issues we faced leading up to the wedding. Thankfully we had Amber on our side to help get things somewhat straightened out. What really got me the most is that when I was at the desk asking about certain situations and why things weren't being handled, I got a response of \"we have been really busy\" and it was from JORDAN! Who never once introduced herself to me and apologized/owned up to her lack of communication. With all the money we spent on the wedding and the hotel rooms, I would have expected a higher quality of service. I found it highly unprofessional. Fortunately the rest of the hotel staff was great and did their best to support us. The rooms are beautiful so the was a plus. All in all, the event coordinators are fantastic. If they can get their food on point and a new hotel manager in that knows how to do their job, this place is worth 5 stars. Reviewed on 17-10-2023

We absolutely loved everything about planning and having our wedding at CityFlats. From the very beginning before we booked, Amber and the City Flats staff were so accommodating and super responsive. It made planning so easy and the whole wedding process stress free. We really couldn’t have asked for a better day and planning process. All of our guests loved everything and we wish we could do it all over again. Thank you again to Amber, Mark and everyone at city flats! Reviewed on 05-10-2023

My husband and I got married here a year ago and majority of the process was unprofessional. We first signed when Riley and Jess were working there, summer of 2020, LOVED them, they were a big part of why we decided to go with the venue. When they left we were not made aware and I only found out when I sent an email and received a bounce back.I then worked with 4 or 5 different people until our 2022 wedding due to turnover. Only one of them had the courtesy of letting me know they were leaving before I was handed off to another coordinator, otherwise I found out by emailing and getting a bounce back. Which is extremely unprofessional when someone is supposed to be your point of contact for an event like this. And that’s not really on the coordinators, if they are moving on, a manager should be contacting couples to let them know.We had our tasting summer of 2022 and that is where we found out the prices had gone up. We understood that in the contract it stated market prices could go up, but it would’ve been appreciated if that were communicated, especially since they knew we signed the contract in 2020 and our wedding was 2022.They should know couples need to budget for changes like that and to be blind sided at the tasting was disappointing, especially because it wasn’t directly addressed, we noticed the price changes on the menu items we were interested in.Anytime I reached out to the venue I felt like a burden, either because they didn’t know the answer to my questions and had to do a lot of double checking or they made me feel like I was a chore. And, I had to reach out multiple times before receiving a response. When our final payment was due, the invoice was wrong twice, I had to correct the math for them.I also had to reach out for our deposit back, which we did receive. When my husband and I wanted to see the ballroom before our guests entered, we had noticed that an appetizer station was set up after we paid an additional fee to have them served to guests, then we were told it wasn’t on our order, which it was, because I had to look it over several times due to errors. The manager spoke up and stated it was on there and it would be fixed. But, we should’ve just kept the station and saved our money, because the way they were served was laughable.Except for a bartender that was very unfriendly and not willing to use the drink stirrers that we provided after being instructed to do so, all service staff were more than helpful and kind, it was the management and coordinators that are lacking professionalism and compassion for couples.Another thing that was missed was the podium that we requested since we also had our ceremony at the venue and now all of our photos during our ceremony have a butt ugly microphone stand in them instead of a podium we were told would be set up. There was nothing I could do about that though.I am a very detailed person, so I did a lot of the work for them, but they were too laid back when it came to following through, so much so, we had to hire a day of coordinator to oversee things and other than the appetizer station she along with the florist made everything happen as I had hoped. So, if you do decide to choose this venue you will have to stay on top of the coordinators in order to get the day you want and I would suggest hiring a coordinator. My sister got married in July 15th here, and the manager Bonnie was rude. She sent the decorator away which was the cousin of the groom. Proceeded to tell us (the wedding party) that we were responsible to set up the tables. My sister was in absolute tears due to this cause this cut into picture time and she had a plan. They were telling us it was a communication error. Luckily a few other cousins stepped in and made things happen so we could finish pictures. Dinner was a hour late. The AC wasn’t turned on during the ceremony or reception. But of course they had it on for the workers setting up the tables but not for the room of 200 people. attending. Food was terrible. Beef was dry and the salad dressing was basically oil. No flavor at all. And the staff didn’t come around at all with water refills. I had to go up and ask for pitchers for the tables. My sister deserves so much better. Reviewed on 19-07-2023

We loved having our wedding at CityFlatsHotel! For the value, it’s amazing! The staff was super helpful. We did have a communication issue intially, but they quickly corrected it. Food is pretty typical for a wedding venue/hall. We were able to get in the day earlier (no event scheduled on that Friday) to set up everything which really helped. They also let us bring in a vendor for a coffee cart which was a hit! Definitely recommend this venue. Reviewed on 29-06-2023
Kayla Rienstra(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-04-2023 The event team was fantastic! They were open to a lot of my ideas! They moved a coffee cart in front of the stairs so my one year old wouldn’t play there and let me buy my own Polaroid film. The ballroom is gorgeous on its own so I didn’t have to do much decorating and they even had an arch and tulle, table cloths, napkins, chairs, table numbers, cake stands, tip jars, Polaroid cameras, etc. included with the room rental. I could bring in my own dessert which saved us some money! The serving staff was awesome and had positive attitudes so we invited them on the dance floor at the end of the night! The event manager was amazing and even helped clean hotel rooms for our bridal party as we switched rooms from rehearsal day to wedding day! Another thing I loved was even though we chose a buffet, we got our salads plated and served to us! Only thing that I heard others say they didn’t care for was the hotel booking wasn’t well organized if you have a block, they ran out of bud light at our open bar, and the food wasn’t as great tasting as it was at our tasting trial. Tessa Torrez(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-02-2023 I’d love to give a better review, but there was some major communication issues at the venue. With switching of management and things changing certain things included that they set up they no longer did and was not communicated to me until about a month or so before my wedding. I had to reach out for the tasting and our meetings and response sometimes took weeks. The tasting is where we chose one of our entrees and it was not the same the actual day of my wedding. It was bruschetta chicken and it had NO bruschetta on it at all the day of my wedding. Apparently a change in chefs. Either way any changes should be communicated!! The food ended up being good and the day went smooth and staff worked well the day of. I got compliments of how beautiful it was. An improvement of the staff and how they communicate would make this venue a 5/5! Reviewed on 26-02-2023

Sydney, the new manager, was able to tie it altogether and execute my wishes so I could relax and fullt enjoy my day. Marissa Johnston(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2022 *BEWARE FUTURE BRIDES*My husband I got married here at the end of August...Physically this is a BEAUTIFUL place to get married and have a reception. No complaints in that department.. But unfortunately the management was very very poor. Every step was very complicated when it didn't have to be. The coordinator would take almost two weeks sometimes to call or email us back. We were told to give a list of eight rooms and people in them for a room block with a discount. We did so successfully and come to find out my dad (father of the bride) didn't even have a room even though he was first on the list! We had to embarrassingly ask a friend to cancel their room so he had one. We also we told in the beginning we would get a free room for having our event there.. that was never honored either. Night before the wedding they tried to run my husbands credit card for ALL the hotel rooms.. the front desk told him \"We thought you were rich or you won the lottery or something..\" I was APAULED!!!!! We go the master suite to stay in friday night and saturday night. Me and my girls got ready there on Saturday morning/afternoon. We had run out of toilet paper so a bridesmaid went to the front desk to ask for more and they said \"it wasn't included\"... i was APAULED AGAIN! Paid over $800 for two nights and COULDN'T EVEN GET MORE TOILET PAPER!!!! My husband the morning after our wedding was blowing his nose in the bathroom towels.. Night of the wedding they told me if I did not get all of my decorations out of the ballroom by 1:00 am that night that they were going to keep my decorations!!!!! I was totally taken back...What a shame a BEAUTIFUL place like this is being ran this way..I will never return.... Reviewed on 21-09-2022
Daniella Dusci(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-09-2022 I was actually surprised with all the positive comments given to Cityflats. I had my reception there earlier this month and it wasn’t the greatest experience. The whole planning up to the wedding was disorganized on their end. Had my event planner quit a few months prior to my wedding and in a meeting stated “ I don’t care about your wedding, this is my last week here”. This back set so much planning and caused so much confusion for my special day. Do not I repeat do not chose the “New York Steak” as a meal option. This is a $38 menu option that was served looking like a Sal’s berry microwave dinner! Beyond embarrassed!! I had to give an honest review, my experience was terrible. If you book here I hope your experience is much better. Also you don’t get room discounts like they may promise on your big day. Silliest thing I paid for was two salad dressings since not everyone likes just on dressing, over a $100 surcharge. All in all if I could change one thing about my wedding it would of been the venue.
