Community House of Moorestown is a historic wedding venue located in downtown Moorestown, NJ. Originally built in the 1920s, this enchanting English Manor is an iconic landmark situated just 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia’s city center. The building is now a non-profit and vibrant hub for the community that hosts numerous local clubs, fundraisers, and charitable organizations. The estate sustains itself by welcoming couples through its doors to celebrate their dreamy day of love in its breathtaking halls.
The fairy tale grounds at Community House of Moorestown feature verdant lawns that are magnificently framed by the stunning brick facade. Exchange vows out on the green and then head to one of two brick patios for your cocktail hour or intimate reception. From here, retire inside to several signature banquet halls, which include the Club Room, Garden Room, Ballroom, and Library. Accommodating 200, the Ballroom is the largest of these spaces and is furnished with elegant wrought-iron chandeliers, a grand fireplace, and a wrap-around wood verandah. Other rooms boast draping bistro lights and large arched windows through which natural light bathes the hardwood floors. On the second floor, a chic and light-filled get-ready suite is available for you to prepare with your wedding party.
Packages at Community House of Moorestown come with exclusive use of the property from 9am until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The team provides an extensive list of trusted vendors that includes florists, photographers, DJs, and bands for all your wedding day needs. Reception dinners can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, which an approved caterer is welcome to use. These caterers have been carefully selected to give you a variety of cuisines for your big day and are familiar with serving at the venue. Refined and luxurious, this mansion is a beautiful and all-inclusive spot to make timeless memories with family and friends.
We absolutely LOVED the Community House of Moorestown for our October 2023 wedding. We had a Friday evening wedding and rented out the additional library space for our indoor ceremony--this was a non-hesitation for us (and luckily it was available). You get the entire venue (library is extra) from start to finish which was WONDERFUL. All of our guests loved the venue. There are so many beautiful spaces for photos, we took advantage of all of them--our photographer thanked us for giving him the chance to take photos here! We also worked with Chef Rob from Bacio's and we highly recommend the MCH + Bacio combination. Also, during our first look on the front terrace/steps, patrons at the Pie Lady Cafe across the street were very respectful and started cheering for us once the reveal happened--it was really sweet. We then went there for breakfast the next morning with some of our bridal party and they were so happy that we came for breakfast that they generously gave us free scones. Happy wedding planning! Beautiful, unique, breathtaking. We loved the unique and classical vibe at The Community House of Moorestown, for our wedding! After visiting several other \"typical\" venues, we met with Joan and toured MCH and fell in love. Inside, outside, the front and back patios, the library, the ballroom.. it's perfection. We captured photos in just about every area of the venue, and we are so happy that we did! We loved that there was space for both bridal parties to get ready on site, without extra fees, which really helped keep the day flowing! Our guests LOVED it! Reviewed on 24-12-2023

We are eternally grateful to Joan and the entire team at the Community House for helping make our dream day come to life. We were looking for an out-of-the-box, unique venue for our vintage-inspired wedding and the Community House was the one and only venue we toured. The library sold us! Guests and vendors WILL NOT stop raving about how perfect our wedding was and how much they loved our historical venue. The most gorgeous backdrop for all your special moments - we utilized each room and nook of the venue offering our guests so many unique and fun experiences. We had our service at the Episcopal church on the Main Street which allowed our guests to easily walk over to cocktail hour. We worked with Due Amici catering - referred by the Community House - and were blown away by their food, service, and execution of our day. The biggest bonus was the bridal suite and groom’s room which allowed us to spend ALL day at the venue - getting ready, first look, formal photos, etc. Most venues (especially mansions) do not offer you the venue all day - such a treat! The location is truly perfect for out-of-town guests traveling from Philly or NYC too. Thanks again for making our wedding day so special! Reviewed on 22-12-2023

Moorestown Community House was at the top of my husband and my list of wedding venues to view. It's so perfect for pictures and that certain vibe we were going for. We got married at the height of covid, so that could be why not everything felt like smooth sailing. I rolled with the punches and everything came together beautifully and I wouldn't trade the day for anything. The building is very spacious and has all of the accommodations you could need. The reason why I give this venue 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the communication leading up to my wedding. Since this was covid changes were made last minute - which obviously is super stressful for a bride. I felt like the building's coordinator and my head caterer were telling me two different things. Also, a few days before my wedding I was told there would be a canopy tent that had been put up from another wedding last minute and had been pleaded not to have it taken down. Did my pictures still come out great, yes.. but it definitely changed the overall look out front of the venue which I had always envisioned. Otherwise, everything came together great. Whomever your head caterer is/wedding planner is will make sure your special day runs as smoothly as possible - since really noone from the building is required to be there the day of. Lauren DeLorenzo(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-09-2019 We had a wonderful experience hosting our daughter’s wedding at the Moorestown Community House in September. The groom’s out-of-town family was thrilled with the look of the mansion on the website and convenience to hotels in nearby Mt Laurel. We were able to use the front lawn for the ceremony, and move inside for the cocktail hour and reception seamlessly. The grounds looked beautiful and had just been professionally decorated with seasonal planters and flowers on the front terrace and in the back of the building. Our cocktail hour was hosted inside as well as on the front terrace. The ball room was beautiful in its traditional and simple elegance. The space was perfect for our wedding of 145 guests and we appreciated our caterer’s advice to keep the bar in the ballroom. There was still plenty of room for dining and dancing comfortably and the majority remained in the ballroom while others could visit in the quieter rooms if they wanted to. Dessert was served in the back garden room. We especially loved having the use of the entire mansion- it felt like home! The caterer and MCH staff attendant, Tyler, were wonderful with set up and breakdown. The photos were amazing with so many architectural elements inside and outside. I can’t wait to host another event there! Lauren DeLorenzo Moorestown, NJ Reviewed on 23-10-2019

I got ready with my girls in the bridal suite upstairs, had a first look in the library with my husband, got married on the front lawn, enjoyed cocktails on the terrace, and danced the night away in the ballroom. So much flexibility in how you can decorate and make it your own - we went with a romantic rustic vibe, but I could also see the potential for industrial decor. I highly recommend this space! The included bridal suite is spacious and well placed. Plenty of room for 100 guests, which was both their max and our caterer's min.If you use this venue we would highly recommended booking Due Amici and DJs Available as they have experience with the venue and kitchen. Diane Trump(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-04-2019 What a lovely, historic, and stately venue. We hosted our daughter's wedding here in December 2017 and, Joan Brown, the event coordinator, was over the top helpful and quick to respond with answers to our million questions over the year of planning. You must also secure a caterer from their approved list (we used Summit, also exceptional) and book quickly to get the date you want, especially if planning a Saturday event. This venue is definitely for the couple that wants something different, rather than a \"wedding factory\" venue that holds multiple weddings in a day. You have use of the entire facility all day, including a lovely bridal suite upstairs which is well-appointed with a salon room and seperate bridal lounge, all with great natural and artificial lighting for your wedding prep needs. The grounds are beautiful for photos year round. There is a Ballroom, a beautiful Garden Room, the Club Room for cocktail hour and bar, as well as the newly renovated library room for your ceremony if you want to hold on site. There are multiple fireplaces throughout the venue which added to the ambiance. Our final head count was 125, and there was ample room for both the coctail hour (which was set up with rented high tops in the club room and foyer area) and the ballroom for the reception. We opted for a DJ but there is a stage that can accommodate a large band as well. As it was the week before Christmas, the exterior was decorated tastefully with holiday wreaths on the windows and a lighted tree on the lawn. Downtown Moorestown is also very festive in December for your guests arrival. Our guests couldn't say enough about how lovely everything was and how much they enjoyed the venue. We booked a block of rooms at the nearby Westin Hotel (10 minute ride) and provided guest transportation through Albert's Limousine but there is plenty of on-site parking for your guests at the venue as well. Michelle Buchanan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-08-2017 This venue is truly a diamond in the rough! Before we booked with the Moorestown Community House, we had looked at several venues from plain to fancy. What excited me about having this as my venue was the fact that we could have the venue for the ENTIRE day. It was also reasonably priced! We initially weren't going to look at the MCH because we figured it would be to expensive since we got it all day and we were the only wedding. Boy we're we wrong! All the fancy ones with grand chandeliers were nice, but I didn't feel as if we'd be given much attention up until the day of since they had multiple weddings in one day and you got a time slot to arrive so as to avoid the other weddings. At the Moorestown House, we got to use the upstairs and downstairs the entire day. I didn't use the Bridal suite, (which I was on the fence about considering how beautiful it was) but my husband used the Grooms suite. He and his Groomsman got there early and had plenty of time to relax and unwind before our wedding. I got ready at my father's house because I wanted some photos there for sentimental reasons. The rooms upstairs at the MCH offer plenty of nice photograph opportunities because they have such nice decor. I also loved the fact that I could come by the MCH if I needed to check out a room to be reminded of the layout, or see progress in the upgrades they were making at the time. Joan, the Event Manager was so nice and accommodating. She met with us and told us all about the house and also gave us a packet of info with various approved Caterers to fit within any budget. We chose Due Amici! It helped us having that list of approved Caterers because they were familiar with the layout of the house and knew exactly what to do on our big day. We had our wedding in August outside on the front lawn and when I walked out those doors to walk down the aisle, the view was overwhelmingly breathtaking. The lawn was nice and the setup we laid out was perfect. I was initially worried about the cars driving by in our photos, but we set our chairs up to block the view. The final thing that sealed the deal for us was the multiple rooms our guest got to use. Usually at weddings, guests are escorted into one big room while the Caterer gets the ballroom ready. At the Moorestown House, the guests have 3 rooms to navigate through, including a rear deck and front lawn. There was never any overcrowding and they enjoyed going from room to room discovering different foods and activities I had set up for them. The Moorestown house is definitely a house that you can let your imagination run wild and decorate according to your wedding theme if you are a DIY person. I added my own personal touches to different rooms such as signs and butterflies. If you want to feel like a King or Queen for a day in a Mansion, then this is the Venue for you! I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I wasn't, and I wish that I could have our wedding day on repeat because this house and our Caterer were the absolute best decision we could have ever made! Although we had hoped the renovations would be done in time, we were quite satisfied with the refunds we received to make amends for the unfinished rooms. Our wedding day was essentially perfect so I can only imagine the lucky future couples who will get to see the Moorestown Community House in it's full glory. Many thanks to Joan for being available to answer our many questions during the planing process. Reviewed on 06-12-2016

The Venue itself was breathtaking but the staff really made it shine. My husband and I held our daughter's wedding reception at the Venue this past April. In sum, we were blown away. The food from Bacio Catering was phenomenal and very cutting edge. The kitchen also provided our guest with gluten free options. The space itself coupled with the sound and lighting made for a magical evening! Finally Chef Robert and his staff were amazing. They listened to our ideas and transformed our vision into reality!! They also ensured that each guest enjoyed themselves and that we had the time of our lives!! We would absolutely recommend The Venue and Bacio Catering!! Five Stars across the board! Catelyn Corey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-12-2014 We had our wedding at the Moorestown Community house on December 5, 2014. We are still receiving compliments from guests, and have two that now want their weddings at the Community House, as well. It was absolutely perfect. The venue is so elegant, and photographs wonderfully. The environment of the Community house makes for a very classy event. We had a very enjoyable time planning our wedding with the community house and the employees. Joan especially, was very helpful! We are sad it's over, and will miss them! :) Reviewed on 26-12-2014
Amanda Nicholson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-11-2014 I had my wedding reception at Moorestown Community House on November 22nd 2014. It is absolutely beautiful, for any bride looking for a unique classy stunning wedding venue - book here! You get the entire building all day - upstairs there is a large room for you and the girls to get your hair and makeup done, a private smaller bridal room to get dressed in and take pictures in, a kitchen and bathroom. The main floor has a beautiful wide hallway to layout seating charts and gift table, and there are 2 large rooms in addition to the ballroom. We used the front room for cocktails, and the garden room was used for candy table, dessert, coffee and photo booth. The ballroom was perfect, with a fireplace and large dance floor. We had 90 guests and it didn't feel empty nor cramped. I'm sure you could comfortably fit more people and tables. We communicated with Joan, who was a pleasure to work with and she had several helpful suggestions for other vendors. We had the perfect wedding at Moorestown Community House - I strongly suggest you consider them for your wedding! Reviewed on 01-12-2014

The staff at Moorestown are gracious and accomodating , especially Joan who was like our friend from day one. She was always there with great advice and suggestions to make this day wonderful. I cant thank her enough. \r\rThe venue is charming and has so much character and spirit . Not your 'cookie cutter' wedding venue . It is warm and enchanting like a mansion from long ago . We loved it as did our friends and family! Thank you thank you! Moorestown Community House! Reviewed on 15-10-2014
