Copper Roux is the perfect location for your wedding! Inspired by all things Kentucky, Copper Roux incorporates a Bourbon and Equestrian theme that is ideal for a reception hall near Lexington. The space offers a contemporary design with rustic elements, a lovely custom bar area and great patio. Copper Roux is equipped with full audio visual capabilities including two TVs, microphones, projector a motorized screen, and house sound. An open floor plan allows flexibility of set up and full use of the gorgeous space. Copper Roux will seat 100-130 guests and is perfect for a small to mid-size wedding reception or rehearsal dinner. Facility rental ranges from $1500-$2000. Bayou Bluegrass Catering is the exclusive food and alcoholic beverage provider for our venues. From themed menus, to family favorites, our kitchen staff is fully equipped with chefs who can create delicious menus that will be sure to impress your guests and your budget. We are focused on having the whole package here to make your wedding planning easy! Our facility rental includes tables, chairs, linen, set up and clean up. You have access to the space prior to your event to decorate and 5 hours of reception time.

Can’t say enough great things about this place. The food was outrageously good giving us the difficult decision of what to pick for our reception. The most repeated comment regarding our wedding/reception was how great the food was. What we had on the day was the exact same quality as we got at the tasting - phe-flipping-nomenal all the way. The staff was also excellent and I have to call out Michael as the most exceptional person in everything he did on the night. He had the best attitude and never stopped moving the whole time always covering the floor with the appetizers, slicing turkey at the carving station, and just generally taking care of business in a friendly but professional manner the entire night. We had minor issues through the night that NOBODY will remember because anything and everything of substance was handled perfectly by the staff. The venue looked beautiful, all decorations including the cake were done just right, and the staff were wonderful to us and our guests. It was the most relaxed and comfortable event with the absolute best food ever. Don’t plan on doing another wedding but I can promise you if we ever need catering Bayou Bluegrass will be top of the list for us.

I seriously cannot say enough about the excellent service and food at Bayou Bluegrass Catering! Shanna was so incredible to work with and made the process so easy. Planning a wedding during the midst of Covid-19 is not something I would wish on anyone but having truly wonderful vendors made the process worth while and enjoyable!The guests at our wedding cannot stop talking about the food and how delicious it was. I would 100% recommend the group at Bayou for your wedding or any private party!Thank you Shanna and everyone at Bayou for making our dreams come true!

We had our rehearsal dinner at copper roux this month! This was the most stress free part of wedding planning. We knew we wanted the Kentucky themed buffet, they let us swap some of the items for ones me preferred in order to really tailor it to us and they did not disappoint in the slightest! Linens, set up, staff, and tear down were all included in one price. The venue was clean and beautiful. They had house center pieces and let me & my family come in at any point during the day to set up and decorate how we liked. The staff was friendly and everyone was a pleasure to work with. I really enjoyed the feature of having TV's and a projector to show a slideshow of some of our pictures during the rehearsal. They helped us create a bar menu that was perfect and worked with our budget. All around - fantastic! I was a little nervous about how the food would taste since it was mainly fried chicken but it was actually incredible and we got a ton of compliments on the menu and the set up.

Copper Roux was the perfect setting for the style of wedding we wanted - simple and easy, but still beautiful and timeless. We did the whole thing, ceremony and reception, at Copper Roux. They were so helpful when it came to planning - having the venue, catering, and bar set up all combined into one or two planning sessions was super convenient. We had about 80 guests and it was the perfect size - it did not feel empty or cramped at all. You could easily have more guests here! Everyone we worked with from our coordinator to the catering/bar staff were friendly and helpful. 10/10 - would do it all again in a heartbeat!

Update: it’s been 3 months since my wedding and I went back and forth about posting the comments from family and friends that finally brought things to my attention. Just thought I should be honest and state what really happened at my reception. While majority of the staff was very helpful, others were not. Because they were trying to flip the room for an event the next day, the staff started throwing away all cake that was on the guest tables while they were dancing when they specifically told them not to throw it away. I also asked the staff to wrap the cake up for guest to take on their way out (did not happen). The bartender was charging my guest for drinks when I had a consumption based bar and was pocketing the money. He also cut off the bar when someone was being transported to the hospital due to being dehydrated but once everything was clear he stated the consumption bar all of a sudden ran out (another lie). The food that we tried during our food tasting was COMPLETELY different from our wedding day. The green beans were horrid on the day of. We also special ordered the blackened chicken for my husband only and again that was awful. He was so disappointed because it was cold and dried out. Lastly, my aunt went to Copper Roux to ensure all of my centerpieces was perfect and ready for the reception and when she started checking everything she noticed the staff had broken one of the centerpieces and never apologized or told her what happened. Had these things been brought to my attention the night of, it could’ve potentially ruined my night. One thing I cant stand is liars and to see the integrity of the staff that work here is extremely disappointing. Can’t say that I would recommend others to utilize this space as they hire people that can’t be trusted when no one else is looking.

My husband and I searched high and low for a single space where we could have our wedding and reception without breaking the bank. When we found Copper Roux, it genuinely seemed too good to be true. All of the food we tasted leading up to the event was excellent, the space itself was beautiful, and Shanna and the staff could not have been more accommodating to all of our questions and requests leading up to the event. The menu was expansive and varied enough to satisfy a variety of palates; the degree of flexibility we had with our alcohol selection allowed us to budget for exactly the amount of beer and wine that our event needed. Copper Roux not only lived up to our expectations but surpassed them, and we started with pretty high hopes. Many of our guests complimented the space and the food both during and afterward.I’m generally pretty suspicious of glowingly positive reviews, and I don’t tend to write many that fit that description, but our wedding was perfect and that’s thanks in no small part to the hard work that the folks at Copper Roux put into it. We could not be more satisfied.

The food was also fantastic - so many guests commented on how much they enjoyed it! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. Erin and the staff at Copper Roux were so helpful with hosting our reception. Everything was beautiful and exactly how we pictured it. Erin coordinated with all of the outside vendors to make sure everything was setup and ready to go when we got there.

Words cannot express how great Erin and the staff at Bayou Bluegrass/Copper Roux were. Erin was amazing. She made sure my night was perfect and everything was set up beautifully. All of my guests complimented the food saying it was by far the best wedding food any of them ever had. The venue alone is absolutely gorgeous. If you're looking for a gorgeous reasonably priced venue definitely look into the Copper Roux!

Our wedding was everything I could have hoped for, and more! Shana was very helpful from the beginning and worked with our budget. She also offered help with planning our ceremony & reception as well as went above & beyond to answer all of our questions. On the actual day, the staff their was so accommodating and attentive to ours and our guests needs. And not to mention the food was superb! Defiantly worth the price and more!
