The Coral Gables Country Club
The Coral Gables Golf and Country Club is a historic venue located in the heart of Coral Gables and an illustration of the City Beautiful movement. Built in 1922, this iconic landmark developed by Coral Gables founder and visionary George Merrick was the first public facility built in Coral Gables designed to entertain prospective buyers from its distinctive tower while large crowds gathered and danced to music of renowned band leaders. Today, this 40,000 square foot facility gracefully blends the traditional Mediterranean style of the exterior façade with classical interior finishes found throughout the elegant Coral Grand Ballroom and three similarly appointed event spaces. Each space is unique and features elements of luxury and sophisticated elegance including stunning crystal chandeliers, impressive black marble foyers, rich Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, ornate Italian marble columns, and cornice moldings. When my husband and I decided to get married, we thought to do it at the court. But turns out we change our minds, and we were looking for a place to have a small ceremony and reception. Someone (who then we hired as our wedding planner) showed us photos of Coral Gables Country Club and it got our attention. So, she helped us contacting Ms. Lorena to see if there was availability and we were lucky!We are beyond satisfied with the staff of Coral Gables Country Club. Lorena showed us the venue, the perfect place to have the ceremony, the cocktail, and our reception. The place didn’t need to have a full decoration. The wedding tasting was sooo delicious! The chef explained each food we selected, also Angela was there explaining to us all the details for the wedding with our wedding planner. I cannot describe with words how happy I was the day of our wedding. The personnel of CGCC were so professional, emphatic, and helpful. They helped my wedding planner from day 1 in every detail and with our vendor requirements (for example our videographer needs to check the internet connection and all those electrical needs for the livestream).Our wedding was small, intimate and we didn’t want to stay all night long. From 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm it was more than enough to have fun, dance, eat (DELICIOUS!!), drink and enjoy with our friends.

Beautiful venue, terrible day of customer service! I have been planning my wedding since July of 2018.The first problem I have with this venue is that they aren’t upfront with cost. Cost was never the problem; but, we prefer to know ahead of time just in case. Yeah, I understand it could vary depending on what menu you choose, etc., but we consistently asked throughout the process and was pushed off until the last minute (2 months prior) when we did our taste test, which still took at least a month before we saw what our per person cost would be. So here we are a little over our guest count number, not knowing it’ll be almost $200 a person and no time to plan or prep because we were told at the last minute.Let’s move on to the day of the wedding. Due to issues with transportation, our beach wedding started late. It started at roughly 620pm instead of 6pm sharp (not their fault), and there was a 20 minute commute from the beach to the reception venue. Our guest were treated poorly from the moment they walked in. I’d hate to think that it had something to do with the color of our skin (and our guest skin) because at our tasting we were treated very nicely by the two people we worked with; but I’m not too sure.To start, they were HIDING the premium liquor (which we paid for). When guest would go to the bar asking for Hennessy, the bartender said that’s not apart of the bar, not knowing my husband had already informed guest that was apart of the bar. One of the groomsmen went to the bar asking for Hennessy for the groom, and was told that wasn’t an option. My husband had to leave the wedding suite, go to the bar himself, and let them know he knows Hennessy is apart of the bar serve it. Majority of our guest did not get ANY premium liquor because only cheaper liquor was on display.How does an open bar run out of alcohol. During the cocktail hour (which ended up lasting an extra 30 minutes to an hour because the room was not set up - keep in mind the ceremony started late, so we were behind schedule; giving even more time to ensure they’re ready) our guest were being told there no more champagne. Again, open bar means it’ll be available - how do you run out of champagne? So we have the problem of our entire wedding reception being pushed back at least an hour because the venue dropped the ball on having the room set up. This hour cut into our dance time, food time, drink time, everything.One of our guest wanted to gift me and my husband a special bottle of alcohol, and as he was bringing it in for us someone from the venue attempted to manhandle and snatch the bottle out of his hand. No communication as to what the problem was, nothing.Our guest weren’t allowed inside the venue to sit, because they were over the hour and a half cocktail hour. When my mother in law and aunt attempted to come inside they were rudely demanded to leave because the bride and groom were to see the room first. But let me be clear, my husband and I were never shown the room BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS RUNNING BEHIND SCHEDULE.FYI the alcohol is watered down. I’m no drinker, so if you give me 3 shots, I’m done. My wedding party brought me 5 shots back to back, and I felt NOTHING. My husband told me that night, you took all those shots and you’re still drinking, somethings not right with that alcohol. Again, another disappointment. I would have rather spent the money we spent on another venue that allowed us to bring alcohol, and not had any of these problems.

I finally had my wedding after 2 years of planning due to covid. My ceremony should have been outside in front of the beautiful tree, we unfortunately had to use our back up plan the day of due to the weather, Lee was so wonderful in offering to use the giant ballroom vs the room that should have been for our ceremony, I cannot thank him enough. My reception was in the Atrium room which the room in itself is so BEAUTIFUL!! We received non stop compliments on how delicious the meals were, the open bar was a nice option as well. I would totally do it over if we could, I enjoyed myself to the fullest!

Took about 2 weeks to make an appointment to view the venue. Nobody answers the phone or responds to emails. Even after we viewed the venue with Lorena, she stated that she would put together an estimate for us for our desired date and we have heard nothing from her since. That was over 2 weeks ago. We can’t even consider them because have sent us nothing about pricing or anything for that matter.We are very disappointed.

I booked this venue for my daughter’s baby shower. Everything was flawless and the food and service were excellent. All of our guests made comments on how delicious the food was and how beautiful the venue was as well. We booked the fountain room which was the perfect size for our event (55 guests). It was really lovely as the room is very light and bright and has a beautiful outdoor courtyard and fountain adjacent to the room. Everyone I worked with at the. Coral Gables Country Club, from booking, planning and executing, were extremely professional, friendly, accommodating and helpful in assisting me plan the perfect event for my daughter.

Beautiful space but I am very disappointed in their response (or lack there of) to interested/potential clients. I reached out for more information and to schedule a tour a few times and they finally got back to me after a couple times of me sending an inquiry. They sent me an entire list of questions for me to answer in regards to my wedding. I promptly sent back my responses and I did not hear from them again. I sent a follow-up email and still nothing. This is the very first venue that I have encountered in Miami/Coral Gables that I had to \"chase down\" and that left my emails unanswered. If this is any indication of how they treat their clients that book with them, I am glad they showed my fiancé and I how unprofessional and unresponsive they are ahead of time. Thankfully are various other gorgeous venues in the area that far more attentive and helpful to potential clients.

What a great experience! I recently had my baby shower at the coral gables country club and it was a pleasure. The brunch buffet was delicious! My guests and I couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was especially the salmon. All the banquet managers (especially Tammy) were amazing and nothing but professional and extremely helpful. They were flexible and willing to work with my budget, which I was so happy about. It’s always been a dream of mine to host an event at this venue. I had the best experience and would recommend having any event you’re planning next at the coral gables country club.

The CGCC did such an amazing job on my entire wedding. I had my ceremony, cocktail and reception there and everything turned out so beautiful!! They were able to work with me to get everything I wanted so that my event was perfect and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy!! The staff was all professional, polite and friendly. I worked with both Lissette (as my main point of contact) and Natalia (in the sales department) and they were amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this venue and I would use them again and again for any event!

Not only is venue spectacular, but the natural beauty that surrounds it makes it that much better! The food was excellent and the service was superior. Lissette was the absolute best! We couldn't have asked for anyone better to work with. She always answered my questions quickly, and was extremely helpful with putting our special day together. Words cannot say how thankful we were to have worked with her and her staff. They did a great job from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for a better day! I truly feel this is the most beautiful venue in South Florida that allows you to have both an outdoor ceremony as well as an indoor reception. She always answered my calls and emails in a timely matter and was so sweet while doing so. She always made you feel like you were the most important bride even though I knew she was working several other weddings at the same time. My husband and I decided to have both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Coral Gables Country Club. The Granada Garden was the perfect setting for an intimate wedding ceremony with its beautiful banyan tree and garden. We then had our reception in the Atrium room which was gorgeous. Cristina was the representative assigned to our wedding. We was fantastic to work with. She promptly responded to every email and phone call. I would absolutely have our wedding here again if I had to do it all over.

My daughter grew up in Miami but now lives in California and wanted a venue with high beam ceilings, lots of windows, and an authentic and rustic look. She did not want a ballroom or a synagogue. Once I went to the Coral Gables Country Club, I knew it was perfect. Many venues wanted us to have an inside ceremony, go outside for cocktails, and then they'd turn the room around for the reception. Since the wedding was July 1, being outside was not an option, even though they have a fabulous outdoor space underneath a big tree. We had the ceremony inside the ballroom, the cocktails in the lobby and the reception in the beautiful Atrium room with high beam ceilings, two levels, and arched windows all around, with uplighting on the 28 columns (supplied by my florist). My guests were blown away at how beautiful the venue was. I grew up in Miami and had never heard of it until I went looking for a venue. The food was great. We did the Mediterranean package, which was the best value and upgraded the liquor package, which is a must. Lissette, our wedding coordinator was helpful, efficient, responsive to our emails, and had great ideas. She was wonderful to work with. It's also nice that you don't have to pay for valet parking, which can add up quickly at other venues. Everything that Lissette promised us was delivered. We were very pleased.

The minute I walked into the Atrium Room I knew this is where I wanted to have my wedding. The food is AMAZING!!!! The event coordinator Lissette was very sweet and patient. She helped with my timeline and contacting my other vendors to assure that my day came out perfect. The venue is a little pricey but if you're anything like me you'll pay for what you want. I didn't like the chairs that were provided so I rented my own (which I think in the future they should have discounted off of the invoice someone chooses to have different chairs). Besides that I have no complaints my day was absolutely PERFECT at this gorgeous venue.

I am one picky (vegetarian, sparkling water drinking) bride and she not only met every expectation- but surpassed it. On top of that, the Atrium room is absolutely beautiful. The wooden beams on the ceilings, fans, and chandeliers give the room a vintage and classic look that was perfect for our wedding. The Coral Gables Country Club I am honestly at a loss for words. The staff and my coordinator, Lauren McDonald were more than amazing. Lauren followed up with me every step of the way and the day of she was such a huge help and very professional. The venue itself was breathtaking. I knew from the minute I saw I did not want to see another venue. The lighting made the room come to light even more and the food!!! OMG!! was amazing! herb crusted chicken, mushroom risotto, and veggies! If I could have my wedding every weekend at the coral gables country club I swear I would. We booked Coral Gables Country Club for our wedding cocktail hour and reception. Our event took place in the Main Ballroom (250 guests). Every aspect was absolutely perfect and beautiful and honestly needs very little decoration because the venue itself is completely breath taking. A huge asset to the club is the wedding coordinator—Lissette Hernandez. She always remained professional, organized and replies to your emails/phone calls/texts almost immediately! She made us feel completely comfortable and confident that all of the details we planned at the venue would be taken care of. She made sure her staff was working well and in harmony with all the vendors, making it stress free. Words cannot really express how great she was to work with and we owe a lot to her!The food and service was absolutely fabulous. During the reception David was exceptionally attentive to the groom and I—he treated us like royalty, always making sure we had a drink in hand! At our tasting we even met with Executive Chef, Chef Richard, who totally exceeded our expectations. Food was delicious! This was the first venue I saw (out of 20...I just had to see all my options!) and I fell in love with it from the very beginning. I wanted to have my ceremony and reception in the same location; I also wanted to have the ceremony outside but was scared of the unpredictable weather here in Florida so the Atrium room was perfect. It's all inside, but the upper level is all glass (so it gives you the impression that you are outside, with a view to gorgeous greenery and pool area); it has lovely/romantic ceilings and a very nice bar area. I knew the location would be over our budget, but our coordinator at the time (Lauren) worked with us to lower the costs (we picked a Sunday, so it was easier to negotiate). We absolutely loved Lauren from the beginning but she found another job opportunity somewhere else halfway through the process. I was a bit disappointed with the Country Club since nobody (other than Lauren) called us to assure us that someone would take care of us until they found a replacement. I also had a lot of trouble trying to reach anyone via phone (they are much better on email though). Our new rep Zoraida was lovely to work with, responded quickly via email. She was extremely helpful (she even came to open the doors for our rehearsal after hours while extremely sick!) and met all our expectations and special requests. The tasting was my favorite, David and Zoraida were very helpful! The Country Club is a bit strict as far as what you can try, etc but they can work with you depending on what you need. We chose the Mediterranean Pkg with antipasto, dual entree (chicken and NY strip and risotto), veggie strudel, and tiramisu (on a chocolate cup!). On the day of the wedding, EVERYTHING went super smoothly! The staff was great! Paco, one of the dining managers, was taking care of us two and kept refilling our drinks. This was the first venue I saw (out of 20...I just had to see all my options!) and I fell in love with it from the very beginning. I wanted to have my ceremony and reception in the same location; I also wanted to have the ceremony outside but was scared of the unpredictable weather here in Florida so the Atrium room was perfect. It's all inside, but the upper level is all glass (so it gives you the impression that you are outside, with a view to gorgeous greenery and pool area); it has lovely/romantic ceilings and a very nice bar area. I knew the location would be over our budget, but our coordinator at the time (Lauren) worked with us to lower the costs (we picked a Sunday, so it was easier to negotiate). We absolutely loved Lauren from the beginning but she found another job opportunity somewhere else halfway through the process. I was a bit disappointed with the Country Club since nobody (other than Lauren) called us to assure us that someone would take care of us until they found a replacement. I also had a lot of trouble trying to reach anyone via phone (they are much better on email though). Our new rep Zoraida was lovely to work with, responded quickly via email. She was extremely helpful (she even came to open the doors for our rehearsal after hours while extremely sick!) and met all our expectations and special requests. The tasting was my favorite, David and Zoraida were very helpful! The Country Club is a bit strict as far as what you can try, etc but they can work with you depending on what you need. Full of old character yet so modern with it's floor to ceiling windows. Bridgette was my account agent, she was amazing made everything so easy. She's so prepared and you can tell she's been doing this for some time. Liked her so much I hired her for the day of the wedding. The service was the best I've experienced and the food was just as good as the day I had the tasting. The whole night was white glove from beginning to end. This venue is not only breathtaking but also offers the best service. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. There is really nothing negative I have to say.

The room is amazing, the walls with the wooden panels and the mirrors are just so beautiful. Lissette was our coordinator there and she was great, made sure we were always involved and that everything turned out exactly how we wanted. The food is delicious, people actually ate and complimented us. The staff was very nice and went around all night making sure no one needed anything. Worth the price. It looked amazing and we had the time of our lives.

Our wedding was held at the Coral Gables Country Club - Atrium Room. It is perfect for anyone who wants to have an outdoor feel yet not have to worry about the weather. My only dissatisfaction was with the cocktail reception which was supposed to be by the pool but was moved to a foyer area because of rain. The area used was way too crowded for the number of guests and too hot. The cocktail was the only part of the reception that I was not pleased with. Angela was great to work with. She always responded to my calls or e-mails immediately and was really a pleasure to work with. You can definitely count on her to be on top of everything.

This is a great venue!!! There weren't too many spaces that I liked that could accommodate the amount of people I wanted to have, and in my budget, while still looking way out of budget. The grand ballroom is beautifully charming with romantic chandeliers. The cocktail reception area has a modern edge. My guests enjoyed the food and bar very much. I was VERY upset that they scheduled another wedding at the same exact time as my wedding after I had been assured at the time of booking that there would never be two weddings at the same time. I had booked first 10 months in advance. They tried to help minimize confusion but I still heard from my guests that they were confused and walked into the wrong wedding at first, etc.

I had booked first 10 months in advance. They tried to help minimize confusion but I still heard from my guests that they were confused and walked into the wrong wedding at first, etc.

Our wedding was fabulous, amazing, magical! and the CGCC made it more special. SInce the moment I saw it, I wanted it. The place doesn't need any extra decoration, just whatever you want to incorporate in your event. The staff is amazingly helpful (thanks Janette). When we arrived it was like a movie star, the let you in backstage so you can see your decoration, and then they take you to a private room, fill with champagne, sodas, water, food, so you can retouch your make up, relax a bit, etc. \rThe service was great, there was not one empty glass in the room, and the food, everybody is praising them!!\rI absolutely recommend this place for any event you might need!!!!\rThank you guys for making this day so special, and for treating us like super stars!!!
