Kelsi Berry(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 Perfect place if you want to use your hard earned $$$$ for restrictions and disappointments. It is a beautiful venue, from afar. That is the only reason I could even give it 1 star. We arrived on Friday before rehearsal to find dirty bed sheets in every room and a stained floor, dirty light fixtures and showers. We had to pay the DJ (jimmy & shirley davenport) to show up to rehearsal(to rehearse the music for the wedding), and then they did not show up to the wedding. We had a phone conversation with them today (10/2/19) which turned into Shirley screaming at my husband on the phone when he asked for a refund (this phone call was recorded, my husband never said anything out of line and never raised his voice. They obviously need the $50 worse than we do.) A few songs were wrong, and/or not played at the correct time. The step in DJ, Brendan did the best he could, but we paid them to keep from these issue’s happening. Saturday morning we were served a cold breakfast (don’t pay $399 for this, it’s not worth it) The guy that was in charge of the flowers obviously did not want to work & wanted me to be okay with using flowers and arrangements from the previous weekends wedding. Flower issues were eventually fixed with an unnecessary attitude from the flower guy. I asked for a high top bar chair for my hair stylist and was told they did not have any, I walked upstairs and found one myself and told them we wanted that one, they gave us a tall plastic from the garage that they “did not have.” EVERY SINGLE staff member at the plantation house was extremely rude to not only myself & my family, but our guests. I was so embarrassed hearing this from my guests who took time out of their afternoon to come celebrate with us. Staff members were sent home with BOXES of our food and wedding cake that we paid for. 2 bottles of my husbands cologne was also stolen from the guys getting ready area, very convenient with all the “not responsible for personal items placed everywhere around the house.” All that matters now is that we are married & had an amazing honeymoon, but I will never recommend the country plantation house to ANYONE.
