Rustic Barn & Private Island with Elegant Bridge
Located on a family ranch in Hooper, UT, Country Weddings & Events is a wedding barn venue spanning 125 acres by the border of the Ogden Bay Waterfowl area. Our family started homesteading this property in 1879, purchased from the railroad. Hand-drilled wells brought water to our crops. It has always been farmed. First, in fruit trees, then sugar beets, tomatoes, grain, corn, hay, sheep, and cattle. In 1912, a home was built on the property. My grandmother lived here when she was first married. My father, Roger F. Rawson, dug the pond, made an island, and then placed a cabin on it for my mother Kay's 40th birthday. In 1998, Roger built the homestead and added a wing for my grandmother, which we now use for the bridal suite. We continue to farm, raising hay to feed our cattle, horses, and many other animals. Our venue is unique. We have a private island and a cabin for the wedding suite, with a couch, table and chairs, lockers, heater/AC and a sink with mirror. A second get-ready room is fully furnished with natural lighting, mirrors, a spa tub, a shower, and more. If the couple chooses the island for the ceremony, they have several options for their natural backdrop. Every angle is beautiful. Our gorgeous footbridge, with lights, takes you to the island—a photographer's ideal spot for dreamy photos at sunset. We can accommodate your fur babies in your pictures on your special day. The rustic, refurbished barn, which once housed 7 stalls for working horses, is now decorated with twinkling lights, chandeliers, stamped concrete, and antiqued fans. The barn also has three restrooms, a large dance floor, three large TVs to display your photos, and a mic and sound system. Each event is fully customizable. Feel free to bring in the vendors you like, including your caterer. We'll help you outsource your stress and choose options that allow you to do as little or as much as you want on your special day. Whether you're looking for an island ceremony, a rustic barn, or more modern elegance, we can help you plan the wedding of your dreams. Our team can provide rentals, equipment, and service staff to ensure your day is all the better. Welcome to our little piece of paradise in Country Weddings & Events. Tana Kay Gooch

I love what we do. I have lived here my entire life. Enjoyed riding & boarding horses, milking cows -farm life. Raised a family who showed hogs, goats & chickens at the fair. We've always hosted big parties. A few years ago. A horse broke our bridge that my dad built over 50 years ago. Brent built me a new bridge for Christmas. My daughter's friend asked to get married on the bridge. That's what started our wedding venue. We transformed our working barn into a beautiful rustic barn. It's a new adventure everyday.I Love it!Tana
