Working with Coyote Hills was a fantastic experience. Hannah, Alyssa, and the entire Coyote Hills team went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing wedding. It's truly a beautiful venue; everyone was very experienced at their roles, and all-in-all resulted in us having a lot less to worry about than we would have had we picked a venue where we would've had to do more things ourselves. It's not the cheapest place to hold a wedding, but certainly not the most expensive either (fairly middle-of-the-pack based on our experience), and wow, we felt like we got what we paid for (if not moreso). Hopefully we never have to get married again, but if we did, we'd be happy to have it at Coyote Hills! Reviewed on 05-07-2023

Our wedding day could not have been more perfect, thanks to Coyote Hills being such an amazing venue and their staff for their excellent service including Hannah Schade as our point person. The ceremony space turned out as gorgeously as hoped with the waterfall backdrop, as well as the draping and chandeliers by their contracted vendor Glam Event Stylist that just elevated the look of it all. The reception space was truly everything we needed and offered something for everyone, whether dancing or enjoying the photo booth and dessert area or even relaxing in the bar area or terrace. Our guests absolutely loved the food, and we are still getting so many compliments from friends and family about it. Everything seemed to run seamlessly, and the service from staff was very much on point. My husband and I felt attended to during dinner, and we certainly had our fill of the food thankfully. We also greatly appreciated the attention and promptness of replies to emails from the start to the days leading up to the event. We cannot express enough how grateful we are to have had our very special occasion at Coyote Hills, and we hope to book them again for future events (baby shower? :)) Reviewed on 22-05-2023
Mai-Anh Vuong-Dac(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2021 We did not have one deciding factor, but rather a culmination of reasons that made us fall in love with Coyote Hills Golf Course, and not feel the need to look elsewhere. First, the convenient location and proximity to both of our families were important to us. We wanted a place that was close to where we both grew up and would be a reasonable distance for the majority of our guests. We loved the stunning ceremony site with the waterfall backdrop. The staff and team were reliable, easy to work with, and professional! The priced packages worked with our budget, and we appreciated that various aspects were able to be modified. However, my all-time favorite moment throughout the whole process was actually after the planning had already been done. There was a period after the wedding ceremony when guests were escorted to cocktail hour and the bridal party had left the ceremony site and went indoors. I was able to see the reception area being set up. I will never forget that moment and how emotional and amazing it felt to see my vision and all the hard work come together! It was in that moment that all the sweat and tears of planning my wedding was all worthwhile. Two highlights of the ceremony that I would like to reminisce on is sharing our vows in front of our loved ones and walking hand and in hand with my husband down the aisle and getting to wave and smile back at all of our family and friends. Simply, thank you for helping us make our wedding day everything we imagined and more. Our guests also raved about the golf cart valet service! Reviewed on 05-04-2023

Cynthia Trinh(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2022 My wedding was an absolute fairy tale. I cannot express how happy I was on my day and everything leading up to it. Our coordinators at Coyote Hills were so easy to work with. They were helpful and informative. They are willing to work with you on your budget. The food was spectacular as well. I got a lot of compliments on the meal. Usually wedding food is hit or miss but I was very impressed with everything. I'm a foodie so an over cooked steak would annoy me and they said that all steaks must be cooked to the same doneness. They recommended medium which is more done than I normally like it, BUT on the wedding day, it was cooked perfectly. One small hiccup that wasn't really that big of a deal was that the mic cut in and out during the ceremony at times. We just took it slow and our ceremony was short anyways. My DJ said that if he had known it was a thing, he could've fixed it with the wiring or something, but like I said it wasn't a big deal. Just be aware so you can have your DJ work around that. They really do small things to ensure your day is special. One thing I loved was that my signature drink was a dirty martini. Although they do not have martini glasses for everyone, they had our signature drinks in a martini glass for us waiting on the sweetheart table. It's honestly the small things that I love. I cannot recommend them enough. Shout out to Selina & Kyra for making our day perfect. Reviewed on 12-11-2022

Prescila Magtira(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-05-2022 The venue, Coyote Hills Golf Course, had a wedding before ours which the venue coordinator, Hannah, didn't notify our wedding planner, so our wedding planner ended up waiting in her car for hours just to wait for the staff to finish cleaning up when my planner specifically told her that she will be there at this time to set up. Also, this venue booked a golfing event at the same time as our wedding, which they also didn't inform us about. It's a golf course and they told us in the beginning that the golf carts would've been already put away by the time we start, however that was not true, because of the golfing event, there were still carts going around which was horrible since they were distracting our photoshoot. Also, the venue was late setting up the ceremony site, like no aisle runner, due to the overbooking of this venue, which made the photographers to have a delay getting their details shots. Our white dance floor was late tothe reception as well, one of the assistant coordinator, Kyra, even had the nerve to blame us for it being late. Hannah also had the nerve to blame us for \"not informing\" her that we will have signature cocktails, which we did in the very beginning of our wedding planning, she was the one who gave us the idea. She is very forgetful, since she forgot to put in her notes about the signature cocktails and she kept forgetting to include the sweetheart table drapings that we have been requesting for for months. She didn't include it until the last week of planning. The serving of the food was delayed as well for the guests. There were some people who couldn't come, but their food was paid for, someone asked if they could eat the extra plate of food since that person wasn't there, the staff said \"no he has to be here for us to serve it\". We paid for all the plated food even for the ones who couldn't make it. Why can't they just give out the extra food to the ones who wants to eat it? Why did we have to beg for the food we already paid for? Also, Hannah informed us that the locker rooms downstairs for both male and female will be private for our event, however people from the golfing event kept coming in and we had left our stuff there. My husband lost his toiletries with an expensive cologne inside due to this. Everything felt so rushed because the venue didn't have everything together. Hannah and Kyra were horrible to work with, my wedding planner was so stressed out trying to get everything organized and ready but due to allthe delays from the venue, it made her job harder than it already is. I regret booking my wedding at this venue. We have spent a ton of money for nothing. Reviewed on 17-06-2022

Lastly, the staff did a phenomenal job making sure the entire event ran smoothly and efficiently. We loved working with the club's events team to plan and host the wedding of our dreams! We really appreciate the level of personalized care they provided to us during the entire process! They provided a helpful list of preferred vendors early on to help us in the planning process. They are friendly, quick to respond to emails/calls and are willing to assist you to make your wedding day the best day. Rachel L.(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-10-2018 Choosing a venue is the most important aspect of wedding planning. Everything flows from that decision. With that said, we are so glad we chose Coyote Hills Golf Course for our October 2018 wedding! Throughout the entire process, I was consistently impressed with their attention to detail and commitment to getting everything right. Although we had the pleasure of working with several of their staff over the course of the planning process, our main contact was Cody. He was very attentive to all our questions and updates. He worked hard to make everything as easy on us as possible, and we so appreciate that! All of the staff the night of our wedding seemed to be on point. Also, the food was delicious – we know this because we actually got to eat our dinner the night of the wedding and all our guests kept telling us how incredible the food tasted! Madison McKinney(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-11-2018 From start to finish Coyote Hills was nothing but sheer joy to work with! Our wedding team consisted of Robyn, Bennsey, and Cody--and the three of them showed the utmost professionalism and warmth during our year and a half of planning. The biggest selling point that Coyote Hills has is their outdoor ceremony site. The pergola is absolutely breathtaking with the waterfall in the background, and it provides the most stunning photos. The bonus aspect of their outside accommodations is that since it is a golf club, the entire landscape is continuously maintained, so even though our wedding was in mid-November all of the foliage was lush and fresh. The inside of the venue is like a giant canvas--anything you can think of the venue will do. From the linens, draping, uplighting, to the floor plan, the team will help you create the reception of your dreams. Finally, the most important part--food and drink. We went with a plated dinner versus a buffet, and I really don't think one person had complaints about lack of flavor or receiving a cold plate. From the tray passed appetizers (I seriously recommend the poke!) to the salad and the main course, everything hit the mark 100%. And I mean how hard is it to mess up drinks? Yonni was great at keeping our guests in a perpetual state of bliss all night. :) The only minor downside of the bar is that they do have limitations to the full spectrum of drinks they can do--but I'm only talking about exotic drinks which were no big deal. (Think fancy tiki drinks that my husband loves haha). At the end of the day, Coyote Hills truly gave us the day we had been imaging during the entirety of the planning process. Both my husband and I agree that our wedding day was perfect, and we cannot thank the staff and the venue enough for that. Reviewed on 06-12-2018

Julia Kao(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-04-2017 Coyote Hills Golf Course is a stunning wedding venue! My husband and I looked at several different venues in the area, but Coyote Hills is unique in that there is an arbor in the ceremony area, covered with beautiful wisteria vines, and with a backdrop of waterfalls, pond, trees and flowers. It looks amazing in our photographs. The reception area is beautiful too, with a balcony outside with a panoramic view of the golf course. My husband and I did not have time to do taste testing, but the salmon and chicken we chose for entrees turned out very good, especially the salmon. The vegetables were under cooked though. I also noticed that service during the reception did not seem very adequate. The coffee was placed along the wall for self-serve (which most guests were not aware of) instead of being poured at the tables. Water was also not refilled. One major gripe I have with the venue is the bridal suite. It was only available for 2 hours up until the start of the ceremony, after which it was opened to the public for the golfers and other guests. There was no place to lock up our stuff so my family had to bring the personal items to the car before the ceremony started. Also, since the hair and makeup took over 3 hours, we had to do this at our house before heading to the bridal suite at the venue. The staff at the event planning office at Coyote Hills were very nice and responsive.Overall I’d say there is some room for improvement for this venue, but I’d still highly recommend it. Michelle is the event director and she could she is truly a visionary. She and her assistants made my dream wedding a reality and made sure everything was perfect on that day. She was so professional and responded to every email quickly and efficiently. The food was phenomenal and our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was. Words cannot explain our gratitude and I highly recommend this venue to any bride or anyone just looking to host an event. Reviewed on 01-02-2014

At first everything seemed wonderful, then when I came back to finalize everything two weeks before they changed everything. They said the drinks package I originally included was missing so they needed to add in a thousand dollars! I was shocked. They told me I could call in on Monday with my final count for my Saturday event. I called and said 130 people instead of the 200 (they knew that it was going to be a lot less than 200 but told me to shoot high than too low when budgeting the invoice). Everything seemed fine. Then on the day of the event they hit me with a bill for all 200 people. I had to leave the reception and go fight with this women MICHELLE (events coordinator/manager) who was so rude. I never even told her how upset I was that there was not a representative from the events department there almost my entire party. Some server was trying to help us with set up or answer my questions. That would have been fine if she spoke good English. So, finally she agreed to come down to the 130, but she was terrible. I would ONLY suggest going to them if she had nothing to do with your party. Beautiful location, but rude events coordinator. Reviewed on 01-06-2013
P Y(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-12-2012 We had our wedding at Coyote Hills on December 29, 2012. My husband and I had our wedding budget laid out and set in stone before we started the actual planning process, and Coyote Hills was one of the venues that not only met our budget limit but also the ONLY venue on that list that really caught our attention. The second we stepped onto the venue for our tour, we fell in love.\r\rWhen Coyote Hills says that you don't need a wedding coordinator - trust me, you don't need a wedding coordinator. I couldn't believe it myself, so I found myself emailing them every few months to confirm that we would not need a day of coordinator. They had the wedding rehearsal down, and the actual wedding flowed smoothly (they were even flexible with moving our ceremony indoors at the last minute due to rain, and also working with our dj/lighting to ensure the new ceremony room looked absolutely amazing!)\r\rThe food was delicious (we were expecting typical banquet food - dried chicken and steak, etc...but our food tasting appointment said otherwise - and all of our guests after the wedding mentioned how good the food was!), their responsiveness to all my random questions through the planning process was excellent, and we couldn't have asked for more. tony hwang(groom)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-08-2012 I thought coyote hills did a great job with the arrangements. Our coordinator was very helpful and attentive. She walked us throughout the entire way and was always available when we called her. The only issue we had was on the morning of the wedding someone from the office called and told us that they made a mistake on our bill and they mischarged. They were short 600 plus dollars and asked if they can bill to my card. This was a little annoying since it was the day of the wedding and that was the last thing that can possibly go wrong. Other than that the rest of the day went really smooth and the staff and coyote was excellent. Reviewed on 22-09-2012
Ana Ruhl(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-04-2012 I absolutely LOVED this venue for my wedding. The ceremony location is outdoors with a gorgeous awning framing the aisle with perfect greenery growing around it and a BEAUTIFUL water fall in the background. We got married the first weekend of April and it was a nice sunny day but the awning provided the perfect amount of cooling shade for comfort. The venue is so pretty that not much decor is needed to make it look very nice. We had our reception at the same location. The inside of the banquet hall is so-so; definitely need to dress this up. Also, they need to hire a new chef or something because the food is not so great. But we loved the location and the look of this venue so much that we didn't care so much about the food. Just stuck with chicken option that tasted very much like \"conference food.\" Other than that, this was the perfect place for a 5-star wedding at a reasonable price. The staff is also very helpful and accommodating. Reviewed on 02-05-2012
CAREN LACUESTA(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-02-2012 I will start by stating: I still give the place 3 stars, but my recommendation to anyone who would like to come here is that you should have a LOT of support from your friends and family, and don't expect too much from Coyote Hills. We had both our ceremony and lunch reception at this location. We chose this place for the beautiful setting and the convenience of having a nearby large reception area (with a great view). The main wedding site is gorgeous with the waterfall in the background and the flowers coming into bloom on the gazebo above us. My husband and I said \"this is IT\". He proposed in front of a waterfall so this setting was absolutely fantastic. At the time of our wedding they have a package that allowed us to bring in an outside vendor to cater our food. The SERVING staff was very friendly and helpful (or at least attempted to be helpful - more on this later), but that was it. The onsite coordinator provided by Coyote Hills was not so organized. She (Michelle) was very difficult to get ahold of, and some of my guests called her \"snooty\". Her assistant (Ashley) was of more help. Here are SOME of the issues we had to deal with: * They had made a mistake in their accounting process and did not tell us of the mistake until DURING (yes DURING) our reception, and billed us for the difference at that time - We really thought that was in bad form considering it was their mistake and it was the day of the wedding and we are in the middle of our celebration. It would have been better for them to have contacted us the day before so that we can make arrangements instead of being surprised by it. We had finalized everything WEEKS IN ADVANCE and so they should have known of any discrepancies by then. If they had BARELY realized it THE DAY OF the wedding event I think that they are the ones who should be responsible for their mistake. * We had our rehearsal scheduled for Thursday the 23rd. They said Friday (day before wedding) was unavailable, and we worked out our schedule so that we can do other preparations on the Friday. We made this arrangement with them early January. However, (after we had already sent out invitations (so our bridal party and Godparents can take time off work or make class arrangements) and made restaurant reservations, they called us on Monday the 13th to tell us that we needed to move our rehearsal to Friday because they had overlooked that they had a meeting on that Thursday. After some discussion we ended up only having to move our timing a little bit, but was able to keep our day. * It was also difficult arranging our food tasting (and this was only for appetizers. We called several times to make an appointment. Eventually, with less than a month before the big day, we had to resort to crashing someone else's food tasting and going to a bride show to taste the food. The appetizers are tasty. * They only gave us about an hour or two to set up for our reception, and even though everything did end up coming together really well for our wedding and reception, it was mostly due to the help of my friends and family. The serving staff tried to help us, but was told to NOT help us by the onsite co-ordinator even though they saw that we were struggling to keep on time, and all they were trying to do was help arrange tables and chairs. I gave the 3 stars because MOST of the people Reviewed on 13-03-2012
TRISH KHEMTONGPRU(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-11-2011 I had my wedding at Coyote Hills. It is a beautiful location! However, booking the venue on of the deal breakers was the foutain they had, which didn't work on my wedding day for some reason. We did however have a beautiful waterfall behind us, which was quite noisy. The audience may have heard us if the microphone was turned on. Amanda Porter(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-09-2011 I love my pictures from my location - it's gorgeous. But, the coordinators at this location make me not want to recommend it. First, in the year that I booked the venue I probably worked with 5 different coordinators. None of them were overly helpful and then on my wedding day the place was not set-up at all. My family was left running around trying to get everything set-up while guests were arriving. On top of that one of the coordinators argued with me because I asked for 10 extra minutes to complete pictures with my husband and me prior to getting the reception started. If you're up for the extra work, this location is great. Just be prepared to really have to do everything for the wedding. Reviewed on 21-10-2011

I read reviews often when choosing services so I felt I must write this review to possibly help another family out if thinking of using this venue. \r\rFirst I must say that Coyote Hills ceremony site is beautiful and this is why we picked it. Fantastic space with waterfall and greenery. But that is where it ends.\r\rThe reception room is old and dated. We were told before we agreed to have the event there that there would be new carpet installed by the end of the previous month, but by the time our event came, no new carpet and the existing carpet is worn and stained. The windows have not been cleaned in a while and show it, so at sunset you can only imagine the look. The three catering people who are there to help you out do not seem to talk to each other and I was constantly asked the same questions by all of them. The event manager never greeted my daughter and would not help out with small but important tasks such as bringing the flowers to the bride so she would not have to go past guests to get downstairs to the dressing room where they were located, she claimed this was a florist job. Are you kidding? This was a yet again another task they agreed to do during negociations, but would not do when the time came. Also, be aware of the upcharges and the wrong pricing. They charge $100 extra to set out water bottles and other items at the ceremony site, and wanted to charge $200 to take out all the small, outdated lunch tables and chairs from the bar area so there could be a cocktail hour for 100+ guests. Who does that? I entered the bar during cocktail hour to find no hot hors'doerves left, and just as they were asking everyone to enter for dinner, the wait staff finally brought out more. What a waste. If you choose to have your event hear have someone in charge of the cocktail hour to make sure you get everything you ordered. Plates were piled up everywhere and there was nobody picking up the used plates, Yuk! The food and beverage manager got very rude when I voiced my opinion of the cocktail hour service. Also, he earlier volunteered to put a cart away that had some extra reception items on it, but he never did and we had to do it as people were entering. This was the first time I had to tell him who I was, because no one ever introduced him prior to the event. We also had to constantly tell the waiters to put the lighting down and had to remind them to light all the candles on the tables. We had to tell them more than once because they would not light them all. \r\rThe food was fine, typical wedding food, but warm and tasty. They were not able to give us a beef and chicken plate for a resonable price like most venues in the area, so we had a choice of chicken or beef.\r\rI have been to many venues in the area and even planned my own wedding, and I am sorry to say that this venue is not a friendly place and the catering staff does not seem to enjoy their jobs. We first me with Selena who is a relatively new to the catering department and she was great, but the other two never smile which is sad when you are planning a fun event like a wedding. This place was picked for the outdoor ceremony site, the presented reception plans and because of availability, but I would never recommend this venue. What was presented in the beginning was not what we got in the end. They seem to forget that this is a service industry and their clients should be treated with respect. Many venues offer much better deals out there...please choose wisely. Reviewed on 15-08-2011
Destiny Osmialowski(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-06-2011 The venue is gorgeous, beautiful, gives a timeless feeling, and was a perfect size for our 120 guests. The meal was wonderful and our guests had an overall wonderful time. But...they changed the wedding management crew 3 times in the year that we booked them and so there were a lot of problems with promises made and then abandoned when that person left. We ran out of appetizers just about instantly (apparently there was a miscommunication with the kitchen to not bring any more out and the on-sight coordinator couldn't be bothered to check it out herself). I had a friend helping set up the tables for the table numbers and some mason jars, and that's all she was meant to do. Apparently the coordinator gave her the favors and everything else THEY were meant to set up and then stood around while she ran around like crazy. The only thing my friend didn't do where the table settings themselves. My father had to do quite a bit of running around himself to find the coordinators to get tables where they were supposed to have already be set up, as well as find the promised golf carts to take guests over to the ceremony site. One of our guest tables were also placed around a corner so half of the table couldn't see anything past this wall. It was beautiful and I had a great time the day of, but the amount of things gone wrong that I heard in the weeks after makes me very frustrated. Reviewed on 03-08-2011

The service was very good, and they were very accomoding and addressed all of our needs and concerns. Our guests were very happy with the cocktail hour and said that there was plenty of food being passed around at all times and it was very tasty (this was one of my big concerns). The same thing went for dinner, each course was out in a timely manner and tasted very good. The food and beverage director Dan is a huge asset to Coyote Hills. He is so nice and helped with everything throughout the night. The scenery is gorgeous, our pictures came out beautiful because of the waterfall behind the ceremony site and since the wedding was in the evening there was a very romantic feel to the reception due to the windows, lighting, and scenery. Shannon Ryan(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-05-2010 The venue for the ceremony site as well as reception is beautiful. My main complaint is that they do not reserve rows in the front of the ceremony for family that is up to you which caused some confusion. Also we were told there would be crackers with our cheese display and there were not. They also did not put our seating chart sign in front of the entrance to the reception site so that created more confusion. Basically you need someone directing the event because other than tell you when it is time for you to go down the aisle you will not see them at all. Reviewed on 12-07-2010
Jennifer Lucas(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-04-2004 I loved that the reception venue was able to accomodate a ceremony as well. The country/ golf club was a great location for guests. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. I enjoyed that the price of the reception included our menu, bar, cake, table centerpeices, linens, and setup (which meant that I didn't have to spend the time doing everything myself). I also appreciated the golf club holding a night for vendors (dj's, photogs, wine people, etc...) to display their skills and promote their businesses. It allowed couples to see a variety of options all in one evening.;I wouldn't warn anyone about the actual venue... just make sure you have someone knowledgable and compassionate organizing and supervising the event accordingly.
