Crescent Ballroom at Stubborn Brothers Brewery is a unique wedding venue located in Shawano, WI. Built in 1914, it was formerly a vaudeville theater with a large ballroom, and was lovingly renovated and transformed into a brewery in 2016. Its stylish interior perfectly blends historic charm with modern elegance to create the perfect wedding venue. The owners of Stubborn Brothers Brewery spent three and a half years restoring the building to its former glory. They retained the ballroom's beautiful brickwork, original tin ceilings, and century-old maplewood flooring. The interior also features mahogany baseboard, exposed silver ductwork, and large windows for ample natural light. Modern light fixtures complement the natural light and add to the space's warm, welcoming ambiance. The ballroom can accommodate up to 210 guests, making it ideal for large celebrations, and the layout can be customized to your liking. Couples who hold their receptions here will be dancing in the same place sweethearts used to dance a hundred years ago. This beautiful space can also be used for exchanging vows, and get-ready rooms are available on-site for you to prepare for the day. The Crescent Ballroom at Stubborn Brothers Brewery offers in-house catering and bar services, meaning you won't have to look elsewhere for a delicious reception meal. You and your guests will also be able to sample the wide selection of craft beers, brewed right there in the building. The dedicated staff can provide coordination services to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day, and servers will be on-hand to assist your guests. Event essentials such as tables, chairs, decor items, and a dance floor will be provided for you. The staff will even take care of setup and cleanup, so you can simply relax and enjoy your special day.

This is a gorgeous place to have a wedding reception. I was incredibly happy with everything - staff, decor, food, bar, and beer. It's a classic industrial building with beautiful exposed brick, metal ceilings with crown molding, large tall windows, and wood floors. It has an upstairs/3rd floor ballroom, mezzanine/2nd floor with leather lounging couches, and downstairs/1st floor with long wood bar and stage. Staff were communicative, open to working with us, and easy to work with. We were able to get in, set-up and take down with ease. They let us be creative with decor, and create what we wanted. I got ready in the glamorous art decor bridal suite on site. I highly recommend renting the upstairs and downstairs, because having the whole place was phenomenal, and we got pictures that I will treasure forever, and know I would not have gotten anywhere else. Last, but by no means least, the Stubborn Brother's beer flavors we chose for the wedding were delicious. They have plenty of variety and guests loved it.

My wife and I got married at the Crescent Ballroom in October of 2021. Not only was the food, service, and venue absolutely outstanding, Aaron, the owner, treated us like family throughout the entire process! One of the most unique and enjoyable experiences was our “Couple’s Brew Day”! This consisted of Krystell and I filling out a form of what beer we wanted, what the ABV should be, style, flavors, etc. and we actually got to brew it ourselves and serve it to our guests at the wedding!!!! We went to Shawano about a month before the wedding, hung out with Aaron and brewed some amazing beer we named “Labor of Love”! It’s such a fun experience that her an I are going to look back on and cherish for years and years!I could not recommend Aaron, Caitlin, and his entire team at Stubborn Brothers enough. The second you tour the venue, I promise you, you will cancel all other venue tours immediately…. And you will absolutely not regret your decision when it comes time for your special day!

This place was awesome. We got to brew a beer just for our wedding with the owner, everything went smooth and they were very affordable compared to other places we found! Thank you for the amazing night and memories
