Angela and Mark have an amazing space with multiple rooms and theme options. It has an industrial, modern feel, but becomes so warm and inviting! I was a very type-A, organized bride, and I'm an event manager in my daily life, so I was worried about making sure every detail was taken care of. Angela and her day-of team took so much stress out of that! They designed everything, including the lights, floral, seating, etc. Literally everything! It was so worth it to me to find a place like this that had incredible floral and decor capabilities right on site. They heard our vision and made it even better than we could've imagined. The staff was quick to get back to emails and accommodate every one of my requests and concerns as they came in. I feel like I was emailing them new ideas and questions every day leading up to the wedding and they were ready with answers immediately and so unphased by everything I threw at them. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. The staff took care of every single detail and made sure my wife and I had everything we needed at all times. They coordinated with all of the vendors ahead of time, so we didn't have to worry about any of the logistics on the day of the wedding. My stress melted away when I saw the venue all set up for the reception. It was beautiful. I'm still not over it! If you're looking for a unique venue right in downtown Phoenix with an incredible and supportive staff that will turn your dream wedding into reality, this is the place for you. Based on everything I'd seen and read about The Croft and Angelic Grove, I definitely had high expectations for the wedding day and how everything would come together, and this team completely delivered and exceeded those expectations. The team at The Croft and Angelic Grove made everything so easy for us was able to take my blurry vision and bring it to life in the most beautiful way--the floral arrangements, tablescapes, and little details they curated were honestly beyond my wildest dreams. During the entire event, I was able to truly let go and experience everything without worrying if things would happen on time or be executed well--this team is so trustworthy and were absolutely on top of the timeline and all the moving pieces. Angela (a proud British national) and Mark (from the good ole US of A), are responsible for the venue that gave us a better wedding than we could have ever dreamed of. Located at the northwest corner of 1st Street and Buchanan. The Croft Downtown doesn’t look like much from the outside. You drive past it and it looks like a warehouse amongst a bunch of warehouse and government buildings in south Downtown. But walk inside the main showroom and you quickly realize why the Croft is one of Downtown’s prized gems. The Croft is essentially four event spaces in one (two outdoor and two indoor). The theme of the venue is based on Alice in Wonderland (written by an author from Angela’s hometown of Croft, England). Our wedding was on an unusually hot day in April, which (to me anyway) begged the question of whether they would be able to keep our guests cool. Fear not, the buildings are rigorously air conditioned and they even had swamp cooler ready to go for the patio. We had our wedding in the smaller indoor room (known as the Abbey) which they transformed into a gorgeous chapel for the ceremony. After that, a cocktail hour on the patio. And finally, a wonderful reception in their large indoor ballroom (known as the Cheshire room). The venue is accustomed to DJs providing music, but they can also accommodate bands (which we went with for our reception). They also have a gorgeous prep room near their main showroom where the bridal party can relax before the festivities begin. We also took the extra step of eating our dinner privately in that prep room before the reception got rolling (perhaps the smartest outside the box move we made!). Through it all, Angela and Mark were kind, organized, accommodating, and making every effort to make sure my wife and I didn’t have to worry about a thing on our big day. Angela and Mark also both made time to talk with us anytime we had concerns or ideas that we wanted to bounce off of them. One big point of emphasis I would make is that Angela and Mark work with excellent vendors. We went with their recommendations for catering (Alexi’s Grill), dessert (A Bakeshop), and bartending (A Couple of Bartenders). All of the vendors were familiar with the Croft and were absolutely wonderful. So if you’re not sure about vendors, you really can’t go wrong with the ones they recommend. Additionally, they have partnerships with downtown Phoenix hotels in case you’re looking to lock in some reduced group rates. My best advice if you’re looking to book a Saturday wedding at the Croft would be to book at least 16 months in advance as we did. Yeah, the Croft really is that popular. In addition to weddings, the Croft does corporate events, fundraisers, art displays, and concerts throughout the week. We’ll almost certainly come back for non wedding events at this venue at some point. But purely as a downtown wedding venue, we couldn’t be happier. Everything we needed was right here in one place, valet parking for guests, great vendors to choose from, wonderful creative decor, a fun funky downtown industrial feel, and walking distance to the rest of downtown Phoenix. It’s so hard to find the words the describe all that The Croft encompasses, but those are a few that come to mind. From the moment we toured the venue with Angela (the owner), not only were we completely blown away by the space, but also the level of detail, knowledge, and experience that her and her husband Mark, as well as their team provided. Although planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, Angela sat down with us, heard us voice our goals for the wedding, and then began to recommend, reach out to, and even book vendors on our behalf that fell into our criteria and price range. The day of the wedding— I truly can say as a bride I did not worry about a thing. That usually never happens! The Croft was the main point of contact for vendor communication, decor, and pulled it off seamlessly. They even went the extra mile to make sure drinks were waiting for us after the ceremony, before we took family photos! Our guests can not stop gushing about how beautiful our wedding was and how perfect the location was. Our family has thrown a lot of parties, but no one throws one like the Croft. We had to move the venue and date several times due to COVID and the Croft took us in and made the process seamless. Between the vendors and all the special details the couple wanted, the day went off effortlessly. We had so many compliments about how much fun everyone had! From the day we first toured the venue to our wedding night, the entire team at The Croft was incredibly accommodating, thorough, and communicative. I spoke with Mark and Angela about the vision we had for our wedding early on in the planning process, and everything turned out better than we could’ve ever imagined. Their attention to detail is impeccable. They coordinated with all of our wedding vendors and helped make our wedding day go as smoothly as possible. I didn’t have to worry about anything day-of. The Croft handled everything, I felt like I was able to be fully present and enjoy our wedding night. We had so many guests tell us that our wedding was one of the best they’ve ever been to, and that wouldn’t have been possible without Mark, Angela, Hannah, and Kelsey. I truly believe the level of service they provided is far beyond what you’d find at any of the typical, popular wedding venues here in Arizona. I cannot recommend The Croft enough!! The Croft continued to support & encourage my vision & dream from day one. They not only helped to make our vision a reality, but made it the most fun, stress free & enjoyable process EVER. And the vision we had they not only brought to life, but made it better than i ever could have imagined.Angela & the Staff at The Croft are a staff brides dream of. They are incredibly kind, caring, supportive, and possibly mind readers. They predicted our every question & every need. They coordinated with all our vendors to make our night seamless. It is rare to say this, but not a SINGLE thing went wrong on our wedding day. When the bustle on my dress was caught, members of their staff rushed to help me, relieve my stress, and get me back on the dance floor. Actual angels. We also had a crowd with very mixed ages and they made our entire wedding ceremony and reception perfect for all of our guests. I cannot even begin to explain how many guests made comments about how absolutely incredible the venue and entire staff was. They helped to provide recommend vendors for food & video who also were spot on for our vision and a dream to work with. The made sure not only myself & my husband were supported, but also our families and wedding party throughout the entire process. I was a bride who stresses about the little things and small details going wrong, and i had absolutely no reason to worry. The Croft Downtown is a well oiled machine and had i gone anywhere else, i would've been massively disappointed.If you are considering this venue in the slightest, stop looking. Book The Croft and hand over the reigns because they CAN and WILL make all your dreams come true. I've truly never been more impressed in my entire life from an event staff and could not say more incredible things about them. But perfect is a word I've used many times to describe this wedding. I have absolutely no complaints, issues, regrets - and I attribute this to the excellent handling by The Croft staff - very special mention to Angela! Everything covered, anticipated, smooth . . . I'm in my 60's and often lament the loss of real customer service but The Croft Staff is an exception . . . so many extra touches, kindness, consideration, anticipating our needs . . . We planned this wedding in less than 3 months, on a tight budget and with COVID raging. The Croft guided us, and we had an amazing experience that will be a lifetime of good memories. Decorations? OMG beyond beautiful. Food? Excellent - rivals anything you would find in any 5 star restaurant - plenty of it, well-served, hot and so many choices that everyone was happy. I don't know how they did it. The DJ was an expert all around. And everything so clean, tidy - well kept. Honestly, I'm going on and on. My husband and I got married on January 7th, 2017, and the Croft was the 3rd venue we looked at. After visiting with Mark and discussing what my husband and I wanted for our wedding, I was completely sold. Working with Mark and Angela was truly a dream come true. They helped us decide what was best for our budget, worked through every detail, and provided the BEST support I could've ever imagined. Not to mention, they put up with me! I highly, highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a centrally located venue that can accommodate large parties. We had a 300 count guest list which I didn't think would be possible to fit in any downtown venue (unless you were looking at a hotel), but the Croft made it happen and it was BEAUTIFUL! We both live in Michigan, are from Chicago, but have a lot of family in AZ so we figured why not getting married in PHX? When we were looking for venues the very first place we stopped at was The Croft. We fell in love, but everyone kept telling us not to get excited over the first place we saw. We then visited a few other places, but at the end of the day we couldn't stop thinking about The Croft so we booked our wedding! Living 2000 miles away from The Croft really wasn't the biggest deal it all. They really made it easy to work with. The reason why I personally love The Croft the most is because it's a \"simple warehouse\" so to speak, that can made its to the most spectacular place. A big dislike of mine is banquet halls. They all seem to have the most hideous carpet that make it almost impossible to match with your wedding colors. The Croft can transform their rooms into just about anything you could imagine and it's exactly what they did for me. I truly have never had so many compliments in my life. People are still talking about our wedding. The thing EVERYONE keeps saying is \"attention to detail\". Every bride has their thing. Some care about dress more than others. Some care about photographer more than others. It all varies. For me personally? I cared about venue more than anything! I didn't want to have it at any old place. I wanted everything around me to be special and memorable. And it was! My wedding was so perfect. Angela & Mark truly know what they are doing. They are artists in weddings.Angela is so calm and so sweet. She is exactly who you need by your side on your wedding day. I NEVER in a million years thought I would panic on my wedding day...and I did. But I'll never be able to forget Angela's sweet smile and calm demeanor.We are just so pleased with our choice to have our event at The Croft. Amanda Killian(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2016 Upon becoming engaged in June of 2015 it was a no brainer, Arizona would be where we would marry. At the time of engagement we were living in Boston (Phoenix prior) and would more than likely be moving back to the west coast 3-6 months prior to the wedding. We flew out in September for two days, toured many beautiful venues yet nothing really excited us. On the second day we had a few appointments downtown. Downtown was special to us, it's where we met, fell in love and first lived together. From the moment we stepped through the doors at The Croft our hearts were set and our decision was made. Nestled in the Warehouse District, The Croft embodies the raw city feel with a polished touch on what's south of the train tracks. The big exposed industrial door, abundance of chandeliers, wooden church pews and walls illuminated with candles were the immediate attraction, yet the in-house services and professionalism is what had us itching to sign on the dotted line. Choosing The Croft as your ceremony/reception site also allows you to use their decor and floral services, Angelic Grove. For us this was music to our ears, instead of coordinating three vendors to collaborate and mold our ideas into a vision, we only had to work with one. Angela, Mark, Ana and the rest of the team made planning our special day from across the country that much easier by use of e-mail, FaceTime, phone, Pinterest or text. Countless e-mails with overflowing wild bridal ideas from an overdose of Pinterest were chopped and screwed and made into reality. After getting word we would be moving to California in July 2016 we decided to also enlist their help as our day-of coordinator. There were times we felt as if we were so behind with planning due to our move, but once checking in with The Croft they eased our thoughts and helped us game plan. The willingness to help execute our perfect day never dulled, even down to last minute changes in decor or timeline details to make things seamless. Aside from our officiant, Angela was the maestro of our day. She orchestrated a perfect ceremony and reception and never let the crazy that went on behind scenes (due to other vendors) reach our ears. We were able to relish in all the love and beauty that came together on our perfect day - October 22, 2016. Throughout the night multiple guests would mention how amazing and unique the venue was and how it was one of, if not the best/most beautiful weddings they'd ever been to. It might sound bias but we'd have to agree too - it was literally perfect! The Croft is the miracle that one is dreaming of when looking for a venue to host their event. The minute we walked into the Croft Downtown, we knew that was our perfect spot. We have attended several weddings at golf courses and resorts around town and although they were all beautiful in their own way, we ultimately wanted something with a hip edge that still felt intimate and gorgeous. Angela listened to my laundry list of requests and turned all of my crazy ideas into a beautiful reality. From the flowers to the valet staff – everything was impeccable. I was very busy and had only limited time to work on wedding planning but they went WAY above and beyond to help me anticipate next moves. I am so grateful for them! The decor/floral was particularly mind-blowing making our pictures and memories a true pleasure to look back on. So grateful for their timely and efficient meetings/calls. Owners Mark and Angela went out of their way at every turn to make things more lovely, easy on us, and original. I felt like I was being held in the most confident, caring hands throughout the experience -- and it was that -- an EXPERIENCE. Not just a wedding. They made sure to work within my budget, help me decide where to save and where to invest, and then transformed that gorgeous building of theirs into a sparkling, candlelit oasis in the middle of the city. Before booking with them, I did a lot of homework and asked for a lot of references. The Croft's owners seriously make brides happy! (And grooms! And mothers of the bride!) Anonymous (bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-10-2017 When my fiance and I found this venue we were so excited! To us it was perfect.......until we started the planning process. We signed a contract with their then sales manager, who promised many things we came to find out could not deliver! (we were told at our first meeting she was fired for making those types of promises) We met with the owners to assured us that they would work and do the best they can do deliver our dream wedding- WRONG! Their decor company that you have to use is extremely expensive. We found ourselves settling just to keep our wedding their venue. Nothing that we started out with that was promised would be in our budget anymore. We met with them in June and come August we NEVER heard from them. (wedding date Oct) The extra cost that they were going to be charging us for decoration but a very big riff in our relationship and unfortunately we needed to cancel our weeding! We contacted the owners to basically beg for our $2,500 deposit back which they RUEFULLY denied. It took them 5 phone calls to even call us back. They did not care that we couldn't get married, or that their sales rep promised things that could not be delivered or that their decor company is extremely out of our budget. We were told \"to bad, you signed a contract nothing we can do!\" this is so upsetting because they single handedly ruined our dream weeding and then to not care enough to even give a deposit back shows that they are just in it for the money!!! They are NOT in it to make a bride and groom have a dream weeding or to even be understanding. So long story short, unless you have an unlimited budget or you plan to win the lottery soon DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT book your wedding here. I have had nothing but bad experiences and the owners are cold and un-compassionate. Reviewed on 25-08-2016

Angelic Grove/The Croft did an absolutely AMAZING job. Everything looked stunning and came together perfectly. The floral arrangements/candles were what dreams are made of, the dance floor was a great size for all of the dancing happening, and the layout was just right. My husband and I wanted to find a venue that reflected our personal style and create a fun atmosphere on our special day! The Croft was the perfect location to host our wedding ceremony and reception so that our guests didn't have to travel back and forth between locations. At The Croft we were able to pick out the exact decor we wanted and design our dream venue because The Croft is literally a blank canvas for the event hosts to cater exactly to what they are envisioning. The owner, Angela also helped assure us that the designs and decor we picked out were within out budget and complimented one another. The weeks leading up to my wedding, the staff was always present to answer my questions and always worked with me to make sure everything was perfect. I don't know what I would have done without all of their help! You have to call them today to set up an initial meeting and walk through of the space, it is stunning and Angela and her team will take the BEST care of you on your special day! After finding out two months before our wedding our (original) venue is no longer able to host our wedding, this bride went into complete panic mode (I had a meltdown). FORTUNATELY, The Croft had our original wedding date open. Never did I feel like a bargained bride. The Croft treated us with the same attention and support as I can imagine they provide to brides who give them more than 2 months notice for a wedding :)\r\rAngela, Mark and team supported and facilitated the wedding of our dreams. They welcomed personal ideas, original decor, worked with our existing vendors and our budget. They are some of the MOST professional vendors I have ever worked with and enjoyed all of our meetings and communications. \r\rIf you are looking for an industrial space with breathtaking chandeliers and a deceivingly unique interior, please consider The Croft. Angela and Mark, the owners, were a pleasure to work with and were there to answer questions every step of the way. \r\rI wanted a venue that was different from most places you see in Phoenix and wasn't looking for the resort feel. The Croft fit exactly what I was looking for - a cool, industrial vibe that was also incredibly clean and totally unexpected. \r\rMy favorite part was that the outside of the building looks a bit sketchy so my guests had no idea what to expect. When they got inside every single one of them was blown away at how beautiful and large the space was. They all loved how unexpected it was and raved about it the whole evening. \r\rI can't say enough good things about The Croft and working with Mark and Angela. It was easy and hassle free, everything an overwhelmed bride could hope for. And I was absolutely blown away by how stunning they made my ceremony and reception look. With concrete floors, and exposed ceilings, any decor you choose softens this space for a perfect harmony for man and woman. Completely customizable. Bring a vision and watch it come to life. There is the Abby room which holds the ceremony, a outside patio great for cocktail hour, and a huge reception room perfect for lots of tables and dancing! Owners Angela and Mark also own Angelic Grove a wedding design company. This is a one stop shop for your venue and decor needs. I am forever grateful for the beauty the displayed on our wedding day.
