Finding a venue for your wedding is a big decision and one that I did not take lightly. I went back and forth on if I wanted to book at the Crowne Plaza and ultimately decided to do it. Let me tell you... It was a GREAT decision! The food was delicious (they even set aside cocktail hour hors d'oeuvre for us and placed them at our table because they knew we wouldn't get to enjoy them), the space was exactly as I envisioned it, and the staff that works there is LOVELY. Everyone is so, so kind and accommodating. I would email Natalia several times and she would always get back to me with answers. She was always willing to listen to what I wanted and then she made that come true. She went above and beyond to make sure everything looked beautiful and how I wanted it to. Like others said, she is kind and always has a smile on her face. The staff here TRULY want to make your wedding dream and vision come to life, and they are willing to do what they need to to make it happen! Also, half of our wedding guests were out-of-town guests. Natalia updated the room block booking link for me several times and did everything she could to make sure our guests got a room. Our guests have told us multiple times how great our wedding was, and a lot of that is due to how great the staff was. I highly recommend working with them!

The Crowne Plaza is an absolutely beautiful venue and everything that came with it was amazing. We worked with Aubrey to start and then Natalia and they were both wonderful. They helped along the way to make sure everything was what we wanted and got done on time. Everything was amazing - food, drinks, staff, room setup, and accommodations.

The Crowne Plaza is an absolutely beautiful venue and everything that came with it was amazing. We worked with Aubrey to start and then Natalia and they were both wonderful. My husband and I decided to have our wedding at Crowne Plaza Cleveland on 06/24/23 and it was the best decision! Most of our guests were traveling in so it was very convenient to have the room block for everyone to use. All of the food provided was delicious and the bar service was great. The workers were all so kind and helpful. They even saved us when our party bus for pictures canceled on us the day before the wedding! We were panicking and went to the hotel manager who was able to find us a bus by the end of our rehearsal dinner. We worked with Aubrey and she was the absolute best with taking care of everything! She made it so we did not have to worry about any of the organization, decorating and everything else in between. The room itself was very beautiful and right outside there are a lot of great picture taking spots! Definitely would recommend having your wedding here!

We loved the Crowne Plaza at Playhouse Square so much that we had two weddings there! I thought the pandemic would ruin our wedding, but the Crowne Plaza was so accommodating and kind that we had two super great events. Our ceremony was beautiful and perfect. Our reception was so nice and went without a hitch. I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza for your event! I really appreciate Daneel's responsiveness, professionalism, and kindness. To start off by saying if you’re thinking about the Crowne Plaza for your special day DO IT! It truly was the best day of our lives and we are so happy we decided to celebrate at the Crowne Plaza!! From the start to the end of the wedding process they were spectacular! Natalia is a superwoman! Her communication is quick and very detailed, always willing to chat on the phone or meet in person to verify anything me or my family had questions about, and blew my wedding vision out of the park! She is so kind and always has a smile on her face and willing to help in anyway she can! The staff at crowne plaza is so joyful, fun, and made the night soooo fun!! They even were dancing with us on the dance floor and made us all feel so comfortable ! The food was insanely good and every one talked about it for weeks! Honestly, guests and family have been raving about how amazing and fun our wedding was and I owe that to the Crowne Plaza staff! You were all so generous and kind! Cody and I are so happy we chose the crowne plaza, you all will hold a special place in our hearts! The best day ever !!!

Everything turned out great on our wedding day! Our coordinator Natalia, along with concierge Mr. Alex made us feel welcome, relaxed and prepared. When we arrived, Mr. Alex took all of our belongings to our room and we didn't have to touch a thing! Natalia assisted a lot with the set up and made that part of our weekend stress free. She was available for last minute questions over text and phone call in the hours leading up to the event. At our Wedding, everything went as planned. The ceremony space was set up correctly and everyone knew what to do thanks to Natalia's help at rehearsal the day before. The bartenders were very efficient and friendly. The food was AMAZING (we picked delmonico angus beef, chicken romano, and butternut squash ravioli), as were the servers and the manager Joe. Chef stopped by to make sure the food was good too! It felt like they actually cared about making our day special and by the end of the night, some of the servers were on the dance floor with us. The next day, clean up was pretty quick and departing was nice and easy!The only downside I can think of is that it took a few rounds of back and forth to get all of our numbers correct on our BEO and some lack of attentiveness within email communication in general (throughout the whole process). But all was resolved when we met in person more. I was really impressed at how Natalia and the rest of the staff were able to ease our anxiety by being super helpful in the couple days leading up to the wedding.

She made everything go smoothly, and even helped me switch my napkin color the day before my wedding! This venue is especially ideal because it’s located in the heart of downtown and is convenient for guests to stay the night…no shuttle or Ubers needed! We had the majority of our guests coming from out of town, so the fact that this is a hotel made travel plans easy for our guests. I can’t recommend this venue enough!

Everything for our ceremony and reception was absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch. All of our details were executed as we wanted them to be and they looked great.We received so many compliments on our appetizers and dinner, everything was served timely and hot. The chief could not have done a better job. The hotel and event staff went above and beyond for us to make sure everything was taken care of. They even took the time to make us a plate of our cocktail hour apps and our late night bite to enjoy.Although there was some hickups, missing our photo on the marque, some maintenance problems in the rooms, I would recommend using the Crowne plaza for any formal or leisure event.

The staff at the crowne plaza went above and beyond for us- from chef Bernie’s amazing cooking to our lovely bartenders, waitstaff, and front desk employees, they all made our day one to remember. We honestly feel so blessed to have them as a part of the best day of our lives.

The Crowne Plaza staff, events team, Daneel, Nic, and Natalia made our wedding day better than we ever dreamed. It's hard to know where to start because there was so much attention to detail and everyone was genuinely eager to give us the best day possible.The event staff listened with open ears about my biggest desires for my wedding day and accommodated our specific requests. My husband doesn't drink alcohol so they provided non-alcoholic beer at our wedding and we returned to our room to a bottle of sparkling juice. I hate salad dressing, so they made sure all tables had gravy boats for salad dressing (I realize this is a silly small thing, but it was important to me and they listened). They set up all of our decorations beautifully (including Natalia taking on more than she bargained for on a few specific items that looked just perfect for our whole day). Everyone at the hotel greeted us excitedly all day. The front desk was incredibly helpful and communicative as my hair/makeup and breakfast showed up VERY EARLY on wedding morning. They cheered me when I walked out of the elevator for the first time. Multiple staff members asked me regularly throughout the weekend what I needed and did literally everything I asked. It made my experience completely stress free.The food was absolutely incredible and Chef made sure I had enough to eat when he saw I hadn't had much time to sit down. They even accommodated a last-minute request for my husband and I to eat in a separate room to help decrease covid exposure.I never plan on having another wedding, but if I do, it'll be at Crowne Plaza. We felt so welcomed and appreciated and it was great to never have to go looking for staff for help with anything because they were so on top of it.We can't thank you enough for giving us our dream wedding!

Our day was everything we hoped for and more! The Crowne is such a beautiful location both inside the ballroom and the location in the city with that chandelier! Aubrey was amazing to work with, she accommodated all of our requests even the amazing sundae bar that was such a hit!All the guests could not stop talking about how amazing and attentive the staff/servers were and how great the food was (and boy was there a lot of food!), the chef outdid himself!They even had extra entrees of my husbands and mine waiting in our suite for us in case we did not get to eat them with the added bonus of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries!Speaking of the suite, it is huge and full of natural light! Perfect space for all the girls getting ready in the morning!They really do take care of everything there for you including set-up and take-down, when coming up on the day and the day of we were stress-free!Thank you for everything! <3

The location is everything! We absolutely loved seeing the lights of Playhouse Square while dancing the night away. The food was amazing! Major props to the chef. We recommend the chicken with boursin sauce and potatoes dauphine :) The main downfall of this venue is the general manager. The word “no” seemed very prominent in his vocabulary. He made it clear that this was just another event and it wasn’t “that big of a deal.” Luckily, the rest of the staff showed wonderful hospitality, especially the servers. Finally, be cautious of the contract. It definitely has room for interpretation. Overall, our wedding was beautiful and we’re happy we chose the Crowne!

We chose the Crowne Plaza as our wedding venue and we are extremely grateful that we did! The newly renovated ballroom is absolutely beautiful and that is where we held our ceremony and reception. The hotel is clean and very updated, including the rooms! Our bridal suite was AMAZING. Extremely spacious with a bar, two bathrooms and plenty of seating. This is PERFECT for getting ready the morning of...which is exactly what I did! We comfortably fit 13 women in the suite where we all got ready, ate breakfast and lunch! The day went smoothly and our ceremony and reception went so well. Our wedding coordinators, Daneel and Aubrey went above and beyond to make sure the process leading up to the wedding and the day of went perfectly. They definitely exceeded all of our expectations. Aubrey and Daneel answered our thousands of questions,over many months, clearly and promptly. They truly want the day to be everything that you have been dreaming of. The day would not have been as amazing as it was without their expertise and their guidance. They were always so kind and understanding throughout the process and we will be forever grateful to have had them by our side throughout it all! The staff was also so kind and professional throughout our wedding weekend. They really made my husband and I feel so special...from the reception desk to the bartenders and wait staff! We just had our wedding there this past New Year’s Eve and I cannot rave enough about the entire staff at the hotel and how absolutely amazing all our vendors were and how it all came together and was so beautiful. The 10 days leading up to it were more than less than ideal because of the Covid surge and a lot of last-minute cancellations and people backing out, but I cannot thank Daneel and the entire staff for being so accommodating and making it happen for us and our parents. I don’t wish anyone to be a Covid bride, but this this was everything I could’ve imagined and more for our wedding. Shauna was the sweetest telling me she was going to call me yelling at me if I canceled or postponed, Daneel dealing with probably my 500 emails constantly, from the chef giving my husband a jar of ranch to take home, to the bartenders getting down. We LOVED the entire day!!!

My daughter was set to get married in April, 2020, and Covid-19 changed everything. Wedding cancelled. :-( What to do? We were given a full reimbursement by Crowne Plaza to start - which was a relief. But we continued to work with Daneel and her team at the Crowne Plaza to find a new date. Daneel and everyone at the Crowne Plaza were amazing. They worked with us through Covid to plan a new date and we finally had the wedding in July, 2021. The ballroom was fully renovated during Covid and it looked absolutely beautiful (spend a little extra for the \"up lighting\") for both the ceremony and reception. The cocktail hour was just outside the door so everyone had a cocktail immediately after the ceremony. The food was fantastic, T-Bones and Salmon, and both received great feedback - not common for a wedding. Plus, the location can't be beat if you're looking for a place where you can do everything in one place. We had a lot of out of town guests and they were able to check in and not drive anywhere the entire weekend. All in all we turned a terrible situation into a fantastic day and evening - just a year later. So, highly recommended. Call Daneel. She dis a great job.

When my daughter and son-in-law were searching for a wedding reception venue, they were very impressed by the Crowne Plaza. Daneel McDaniel, their wedding specialist, was so informative and helpful and continued to advise them through the whole process. Daneel even gave us tips on the best value for certain items. The wedding was this past weekend and the reception was everything they had been promised. The staff is extraordinary and go out of their way to be helpful. Everything was set up beautifully and the space looked lovely. Everyone raved about the delicious food from the cocktail hour to the late night bite and the chef really went above and beyond in perfectly handling a multiple number of guests with food allergies. From the moment we all arrived the day before, the entire staff was so welcoming and accommodating. We appreciated all of their efforts toward a very successful and fun event. I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza. Every bride should tour the Palace Ballroom and the huge Bridal Suite.

Daneel helped us with the planning of the event and Martha and Felix served the reception. I cannot say enough about how beautiful everything was and the food was delicious. The entire family spent the night, such beautiful rooms. The family enjoyed the 3rd floor patio which had beautiful strings of light. We had the opportunity to walk down to E. 4th street and their open air cafes.

Wow! The Crowne Plaza Cleveland At Playhouse Square was the perfect place to host our guests for our wedding this past February. From day one, Daneel, Gayle and the staff at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square have been nothing but courteous, professional and so helpful. Daneel was always quick to respond to our seemingly never-ending list of questions. On our wedding day, Daneel was very present and checked in us to make sure that we had everything that we needed.The setup of the reception was beautiful - we are still waiting on our professional pictures, but Daneel and her staff took my unorganized list of ideas and signs and organized them so that everything was PERFECT for our reception. Our food was AMAZING (special shout out to chef!!) and all of our guests were raving about ALL of the options (salmon, steak and vegan ravioli). Daneel had champagne and orange juice brought up to the bridal suite while the girls were getting ready (which is MASSIVE and boasts gorgeous views of downtown) as well as a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and a gift waiting for us once the night was ending. It is very clear that Daneel takes pride in her profession and I am so glad that her and the entire staff at the Crowne Plaza were able to play such a pivotal role in ensuring that our reception was flawless! All of our guests had so much fun and everyone had glowing reviews of the staff, food and venue.We ended up having our reception at the Crowne Plaza by chance and it truly turned out to be the biggest blessing in disguise. We had about 12 different vendors and they hands down were the best to deal with. Their communication was beyond impeccable. Daneel was so easy to work with. We had a great time and all of our guests were very happy with their stay. The presidential suite was amazing and we really appreciated the upgrade. We would not only stay at the Crown Plaza Playhouse Square again, but would recommend it to any of our friends and family.All the other staff was amazing as well. Everyone from the front desk, valet, room service, and housekeeping were so nice and welcoming.I believe it was the general manager that graciously gifted a couple bottles of Prosecco and OJ to the girls the morning of our wedding. That was so kind of him. They really appreciated it!

If you are looking for an all-in-one, stress-free wedding and/or reception experience, Crowne Plaza is the best choice in downtown Cleveland. Daneel and the dedicated staff at the Crowne Plaza have EVERYTHING covered in a beautiful, renovated venue with a great location.My husband and I are both from the Cleveland area but live in Salt Lake City, Utah. We decided to get married in Ohio because that is where most of our family and many of our friends still live. Our parents visited many venues in and around the city for us when we first got engaged in 2018, but none were the total package for what we were looking for in planning a wedding from across the country. When we visited for Christmas that year, my husband found the Crowne Plaza online, which was a venue neither of our parents had seen before. We were able to visit the next day and immediately knew that it was the place for us. Daneel, the wedding coordinator, was experienced, knowledgeable and very patient. The ballroom was gorgeous and had a beautiful view of Playhouse Square. The bridal suite was outstanding. It included a large living/dining area with its own bathroom attached to a private master suite with its own bathroom including a large vanity, jacuzzi tub, and shower. On our wedding day, we had more than enough room for both the groomsmen and the bridesmaids to all get ready together but still separated, with the guys in the bedroom and the girls in the living and dining area. My maid of honor had an adjoining room to our suite which was more than convenient and was a perfect place to keep my dress hidden from my fiance.Along with the outstanding accommodations, Daneel was wonderful to work with and took care of almost all of the wedding details! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the hotel and the only thing we had to book ourselves was our photographer, entertainment and officiant. Daneel had great recommendations for these vendors and experience working with many of them, too. After booking the Crowne Plaza, there were no \"bridezilla\" moments or arguments about silly details in any of our planning. This was in large part because Daneel had everything we needed to do organized, taken care of, and planned out in a timeline. I was only back in Ohio for a weekend after booking the Crowne Plaza and it was for my bridal shower. That is when we had our food tasting with the AMAZING chef at the Crowne Plaza and cake tasting at Wild Flour Bakery, (which is included in the Crowne Plaza Wedding Package).When our wedding weekend finally came in December 2019, we had no stress or worries and everything went perfectly. Our party of 130 friends and family had a wonderful time and couldn't say enough good things about their stay and how much they enjoyed our special day.

Daneel and the dedicated staff at the Crowne Plaza have EVERYTHING covered in a beautiful, renovated venue with a great location.My husband and I are both from the Cleveland area but live in Salt Lake City, Utah. We decided to get married in Ohio because that is where most of our family and many of our friends still live. Our parents visited many venues in and around the city for us when we first got engaged in 2018, but none were the total package for what we were looking for in planning a wedding from across the country. When we visited for Christmas that year, my husband found the Crowne Plaza online, which was a venue neither of our parents had seen before. We were able to visit the next day and immediately knew that it was the place for us. Daneel, the wedding coordinator, was experienced, knowledgeable and very patient. The ballroom was gorgeous and had a beautiful view of Playhouse Square. The bridal suite was outstanding. It included a large living/dining area with its own bathroom attached to a private master suite with its own bathroom including a large vanity, jacuzzi tub, and shower. On our wedding day, we had more than enough room for both the groomsmen and the bridesmaids to all get ready together but still separated, with the guys in the bedroom and the girls in the living and dining area. My maid of honor had an adjoining room to our suite which was more than convenient and was a perfect place to keep my dress hidden from my fiance.Along with the outstanding accommodations, Daneel was wonderful to work with and took care of almost all of the wedding details! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the hotel and the only thing we had to book ourselves was our photographer, entertainment and officiant. Daneel had great recommendations for these vendors and experience working with many of them, too. After booking the Crowne Plaza, there were no \"bridezilla\" moments or arguments about silly details in any of our planning. This was in large part because Daneel had everything we needed to do organized, taken care of, and planned out in a timeline. I was only back in Ohio for a weekend after booking the Crowne Plaza and it was for my bridal shower. That is when we had our food tasting with the AMAZING chef at the Crowne Plaza and cake tasting at Wild Flour Bakery, (which is included in the Crowne Plaza Wedding Package).When our wedding weekend finally came in December 2019, we had no stress or worries and everything went perfectly. Our party of 130 friends and family had a wonderful time and couldn't say enough good things about their stay and how much they enjoyed our special day.

We had our wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza at Playhouse Square in 10/2019. The ballroom was spacious and clean, and the hotel rooms were newly renovated. I especially loved that the ballroom has all the windows overlooking the Playhouse Square sign and the chandelier- it was a beautiful view especially at night. It was so convenient for our out of town guests and local guests who chose to stay the night. We were able to have the (huge) Presidential suite the night before the wedding and it was the perfect place for the bridesmaids to get ready in the morning. Aside from the large bedroom and bathroom, there is a separate area with couches and a bar for relaxing and an area for the bride and bridesmaids to get hair and makeup done. And the view was amazing! The ballroom looked absolutely beautiful once it was all set up. Daneel, the Catering Sales Manager, was one of the big reasons we choose to have our wedding at the Crowne Plaza. Right from our initial contact and tour of the venue, she was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with, and I thought she would be the perfect person to work with and make our wedding day so special. And I was right! I was a bit of a procrastinator with all the details and Daneel was especially great with working with me in the few weeks/days leading up to the wedding. Also, the food was really good! We were told by so many people after the wedding how beautiful and elegant the ballroom looked and how great the food was (we especially got lots of compliments with the steak). Also included was a cake from Wild Flour Bakery. They were also very helpful and easy to work with, and the cake was delicious! Overall, I couldn't be happier with how our day turned out. We definitely made the right choice with the Crowne Plaza at Playhouse Square.

I’ll be honest when I was starting to plan my wedding and look at venues I did not want a ballroom wedding. That was until I saw the Crowne Plaza and met Daneel, their wedding specialist. Unlike most hotel ballrooms this feels very intimate while still giving you a ton of space to work with and having everything and everyone in one place makes it all so easy. Not to mention if you have a morning after brunch the part of the ballroom overlooking the chandelier is a great place to get together and recap the night and catch up with anyone you may have missed. If you’re staying at the hotel the Presidential suite is the perfect place to get your hair and make up done with the girls and it’s an easy ride up the elevators when the day is done. Working with Daneel was so easy, from payment reminders, seating charts, the tasting and everything in between she was on top of it and if for some reason she didn’t know the answer to a question she was always quick to find the answer and get back to me. Speaking of tasting the food for the reception was delicious, we had the steak, chicken and roasted red pepper ravioli. Also the cake and working with Wild Flour Bakery was seamless. Our wedding weekend was just so perfect honestly I’m not sure I would have changed anything about it. Thanks Daneel and team!!

She was great at communicating throughout the entire process and was a great help when my family waited too long to book their room and our block was completely full. She was able to work her magic and found us a few additional rooms which we were so thankful for! The chandler suite was great for our girls night before the wedding and the staff were awesome at flipping the room for my husband and I’s wedding night. Plus the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne as a gift waiting for us when we got back to the room was such a surprise. I highly recommend you contact Michaela to book your room block and hotel stay!

It has been about a month since our daughter's wedding. We waited to see if the euphoria wore off. It hasn't. We continue to get compliments from guests as to how elegant and beautiful the event was. From looking out the ballroom at the Playhouse chandelier to the beautiful rooms and the delicious food, everything was exquisite!Hats off to Daneel, Gayle, and chef Rupp for being at each place from rehearsal to pre-wedding, to cocktail hour, and finally to dinner and dancing. Everyone involved was attentive, helpful, and courteous.The most compliments were to the food and the setup of the ballroom. The dance floor was set in the perfect spot in order to enjoy Playhouse Square. We had a sit-down dinner; and the service at each table was wonderful. Our daughter and her husband had a wonderful time as did everyone with dancing in the ballroom and the bars out in the foyer. We did not want the party to end. The follow-up after the wedding was handled just as professionally. We cannot say enough about how Daneel handled every request. She is great! Gayle made sure we were dealt with professionally with attention to detail. We could not believe chef Rupp came up and cut the Tomahawk steaks for the small beef sandwiches during the cocktail hour. Quite the touch. Thank you for a job well done and making memories for a lifetime. We could not have picked a better wedding venue in all of Cleveland.

This venue was absolutely amazing for our wedding. Daneel was great! She was always responsive and so easy to work with. The whole wedding planning process was totally stress free. We chose this venue partially because we wanted a place that had catering and cake included, and the Crowne did not disappoint! Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the food! The ballroom also looked amazing. We used the centerpieces provided by the Crowne and added a small amount of greenery. Honestly, this was an amazing decision and Daneel made the whole process enjoyable!

What an amazing experience! From the time I got in I was treated incredibly. Weddings are stressful and I had a million things on my mind. I walked in with a dress and bridesmaids gifts and Tim Meyer, the general manager was at the front desk and assisted my fiancé and I with everything. He also upgraded us to the presidential suite and the boys were able to get ready there. I have never been treated so well and I am so happy we stayed here for our wedding night! Best customer service I’ve experienced.

We honestly can't say enough amazing things about the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square! First and foremost, the wedding coordinator, Daneel, was one of the sweetest and most organized people we have ever met. She was super patient and responsive with the million e-mails we would send and questions we had and she was also very helpful with making recommendations for us when it came to other vendors, photo locations, food choices, decor, etc. She stayed in contact with all of our other vendors and regularly checked-in with us to make sure we felt comfortable and confident with how everything was going. In addition, the weekend of our wedding went so smooth and we couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and reception. All the of the Crowne Plaza staff from the front desk to the servers, bartenders and the entire catering team were amazing!One of the best things about this venue is it's ability to be a one-stop shop for everything - we were able to have our ceremony on location, they provided all of the linens, chair covers, and even the center pieces which were beautiful. Convenience was a huge deciding factor for us as we had a lot of out of town guests coming (us ourselves actually live in Columbus) and we didn't have to worry about coordinating all of the details which makes it MUCH less stressful! The guests also appreciated that the ceremony, reception and place to stay were all in the same place!Additionally, the food (we chose steak and salmon) was fabulous. Not only was it elegantly served but it tasted delicious and our guests were raving about it. The Crowne Plaza also partners with Wild Flour Bakery for the cake which is another amazing (and delicious) vendor.Perhaps our favorite perk was the room that we stayed in on Friday and Saturday at the hotel. It was huge and it was the perfect place for the entire bridal party to get ready day-of. Since it shut off into two separate sections, the girls got ready on one side and the guys on the other. There was plenty of room for our onsite make-up artist and hair stylist and we comfortably had ~10 people in there with the photographer as well!Again, if I could rate this venue more stars I would! A beautiful venue and incredible staff - couldn't ask for anything better!

We hosted our wedding at the Crowne Plaza on July 14, 2018 we could not have been more pleased with how amazing every detail was. We were fortunate to work with Daneel, through our planning process. From the minute we started working with her she was flexible, kind, professional, and truly cared to make our day wonderful. While we were extremely satisfied with the hotel itself, there are few stand out items to highlight to future couples. -The hotel is wonderfully renovated and clean-The staff were courteous and helpful, we were recognized as the bride and groom and made feel extra special by all. As were our families.-We hosted a good size room block at the hotel, our welcome bags were handed out upon check-in and I believe all guests received them. We (as a large group) spent a good amount of time in the lounge and were well received by the servers and bartenders. We had one guest who a had small rooms issue but it was handled immediately and beyond out expectations.-The food at the wedding was outstanding, it was better than at our tasting and we heard rave reviews from our guests. We offered the airline chicken breast and sirloin. Seriously, so good. -Service the night of our wedding was quick and Daneel and the Food and Beverage team made sure we stayed exactly on schedule. We were fortunate to have Carol serve our head table, I've never received more attentive service. -Everything on-site was so well coordinated starting on the Wednesday before our wedding, we made our final payments and dropped off our misc. items for Daneel to set-up (place cards, guest book, etc.)and had all of our items returned to us on Sunday morning. We booked and finalized details with our vendors and Daneel coordinated all on-site details with them. Everyone seemed to work well together and we really had an all-star vendor team! (Cake-Wildflour Bakery, Chairs and Linen- Party Decor, Floral- The Greenhouse, Band- The Edge w/ CLE Music Group, Photographer- BCR Stuidos by Brad)Overall, you're in great hands if you chose this venue. If we did it all over again we wouldn't change a thing!

Working with the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square, Daneel, and Gayle was the most pleasant, organized wedding planning experience. I cannot say enough good things about our experience! Gayle was so friendly and thorough in starting our wedding experience; then, Daneel was hired and seamlessly took-over our reception planning! Daneel was so kind, detail-oriented, and she made sure everything was absolutely perfect for us on our wedding day. Any special request we had, Daneel found a way to make it happen! Honestly, working with Gayle and then Daneel took away so much of the stress that comes with planning a wedding. Additionally, we received endless compliments on the food/drinks, venue (ballroom), and exceptionally friendly staff! We loved our reception at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square!!!

My wedding was June 16,2018. I booked the Crowne in June of 2017 and originally the wedding coordinator was not Daneel. The old coordinator left around November and they did not hire Daneel till around February. As my wedding date was quickly approaching I was nervous, anxious and hopeful that they would find someone that lived up to what I thought my wedding planner could be. But honestly after our first meeting with Daneel she blew my expectations out of the water. She not only is organized and polite, but calm and somehow brings an ease over the entire process that is both stressful and exhausting. When I say she was a pleasure to work with I think it is an understatement. She was an email or call away with anything my mom, husband or I needed. The hotel had some difficulty with our room block and within hours Daneel would fix the problem and email right back. I honestly cant say enough about how amazing it was to work with her.She pulled our decorations together perfectly and made sure my stuff was safe and returned to me. At the end of the day our wedding was perfect and i wish we could do it all over again :)

Our wedding was April 28, 2018, and I would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza!We received LOTS of compliments from our guests on how lovely the ballroom was, how good the food was, how close the hotel was to other city attractions, and how nice their guest rooms were. One of the reasons we chose the Crowne Plaza was because the wedding package was inclusive of SO MUCH - we were able to custom design our package based on the offerings in the established packages (we'd like this, we don't need this, etc) to get just what we wanted at a price point that worked for us.We booked the venue back in spring of 2017, but only began working with Daneel in January of 2018, when she started with the hotel. I was a little nervous about working with someone different than we had started with, but that was unnecessary anxiety. Daneel met all of our expectations, filled all of our requests, and answered all of our questions. Some days I emailed her no less than three times, and each time she would respond promptly and patiently! During the week leading up to the wedding, we stayed in close contact and sat down face to face two days before the wedding to review the event order and details one last time. Daneel was available by text for a couple of after hours and day of questions, which I really appreciated. Our event went off without a hitch (at least none that we noticed!) and I know that is in large part thanks to Daneel!We would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza as your wedding venue!

We had our dream wedding at the Wyndham in Playhouse Square. First off, we looked at a lot of venues and this was the best value. So much is included in your wedding package. You spend a lot of money on your wedding day, and it felt like they actually appreciated it and included many extra perks including the presidential suite for 2 nights, extra rooms for the wedding night for your parents, your cake (from an amazing bakery!) and complimentary valet. Also, Jill was amazing to work with. You never get a sense that you are bothering her with questions and she is always on top of everything. I spent so much time planning little details for our reception and she put everything together exactly as I had envisioned it. We also got so many compliments on the actual venue.. the ballroom is gorgeous and overlooks the chandelier and playhouse square sign. Lastly, the food is AMAZING. We had so many people say that they had never had food that good at a wedding, it is truly restaurant quality.. people were so impressed. You cannot go wrong with the Wyndham at Playhouse Square :)

We could not have had a greater experience anywhere!!! My Fiancé is very hard to please and he was absolutely over the moon. The food was EXCEPTIONAL!!! People are still calling asking if the restaurant serves the meals we had. The staff is second to none i couldn't have chosen a better group of people to work with from the front desk staff and house keeping to the servers and Chefs. Executive Chef Zachary and Executive Sous Chef Jacob really raised my expectations for banquet type dinner. We served plated meals either Cowboy steaks, Lobster tails ,Airline chicken, Salmon or Mozzarella ravioli. The flavors in each dish was exquisite, you would have thought each plate was prepared as an individual meal. Steaks were a perfect temperature, chicken was moist, even the lobster tails were excellent. Thank You Beth for taking such good care of us!! The Wyndham will always have a special place in our hearts.The Stewarts

I truly can't say enough good things about the Wyndham and their wedding coordinator, Beth. First, not only did the Wyndham offer far more for the money than other places we looked at, but the prices they gave us were totally comprehensive, and we never felt like they were nickel and diming us by throwing in new expenses later. Throughout the planning process, Beth was always available to answer our many questions, and made great suggestions about other vendors, the schedule for the day, food, etc. On the day of the wedding, they were on top of every detail we had discussed and everything happened seamlessly behind the scenes, allowing my family and me to just enjoy the day. The Wyndham was flexible with us to make sure the day was what we had imagined, and always went above and beyond to help make the day run smoothly (arranging for shuttles, setting up things for us, coordinating with vendors, etc.). Finally, the majority of our guests were from out of town, and the Wyndham's location was a perfect way to showcase all Cleveland has to offer.I would highly recommend the Wyndham to other brides!

I am so happy we chose the Wyndham. We had a December wedding here and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Beth, the event coordinator, is amazing to work with. She was super responsive, always worked with us and our budget, answered my million e-mails, and was incredibly knowledgeable and nice. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the centerpieces provided as part of the package are actually really nice. The day turned out better than I could've imagined with only a few hiccups. This is one of the best deals for a downtown wedding at a cool hotel. Highly recommend it. We visited many venues in Cleveland and are very happy with our choice of the Wyndham. Beth Blankenship, by far,was the most helpful and professional coordinator that we came in contact with during our search. The reception was beautiful and exactly as planned. Many special requests were granted and we were completely happy with the service provided. So much is included in the price per person,making it a very good value as well. We received many compliments on the reception and the breakfast we hosted the next morning. Our centerpieces and leftover pastries were used at the breakfast which was a nice detail too.

What a dream our wedding was! Beth went way above and beyond for us. Planning was smooth - it was really nice to have so much guidance and we could tell that she really cared what we wanted and made it happen. The tasting was thorough and fun, our meetings with Beth always went well - she took detailed notes and promised the best. And she did not disappoint! The entire staff at Wyndham were wonderful (valets, front desk, etc.) and all of our decor looked beautiful the way Beth's team set it up. She really captured our vision and it was a stress-free week knowing that all was taken care of. The night was amazing - great bartenders, Beth running around making sure everything was running smoothly and all of our vendors had everything they needed, beautiful space, lovely night for cocktail hour on the patio... I could go on and on. Our guests loved the ease of having the reception in a hotel, too. Walkable area in the middle of Cleveland so people were able to go out the night before the wedding and nice being able to take an elevator upstairs to their rooms. And our honeymoon suite! Holy wow! Incredible view, HUGE room, we had an afterparty up there and there was more than enough space to accommodate a huge group without anyone needing to go into our separate bedroom or bathroom.

Beth Blankenship, the event coordinator at the Wyndham, is truly the reason why we chose this venue. She made the entire planning process so smooth. She is extremely timely, understanding, organized, and just a very nice person to speak with.If you are looking for a stress-free, classy, and fun wedding reception in a great location- this is your place. Beth and her colleagues made our experience so wonderful, especially because I thought the stress of planning a wedding would hit me during the the days leading up to and the day of our reception and it never did. As I spoke to others who warned me about how stressful wedding planning can be, lets just say as a bride I did not experience those stressful feelings because Beth did such an outstanding job making sure the details were all figured out.I highly recommend this venue :)

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Wyndham in July this year. We would not change one thing. Months before we had our wedding tasted offered by the Wyndham where we got to invite our family. The food was great. It was so pretty inside and my only recommendation to others would be to get uplighting for the columns that overlook the chandiler and also maybe have one for the head table to shine on the wall behind the bride and groom. I thought this made pictures and video look nicer. This is something the DJ service you choose could provide. All of the little details the Wyndham put together for us we will never forget, from the signiture drink, to the champange with the strawberry garnish. Everything was perfect. The Wyndham also provided complimentary chair covers, table covers, bridal suite, and paretns suite for both bride and groom, complimentary shuttle service if the location where you get married is close downtown, which I think goes a long way, also a cake from Wild Flour where you go design it, not all places provide all of that. I love the Wydham and will never forget our wonderful reception.

Beth is amazing to work with! She made sure everything was perfect for our big day. The food was outstanding. The view of the chandelier was incredible. The space was perfect for what we wanted. Due to weather we were not able to use the upstairs patio for our cocktail hour but the inside space worked perfectly. It was gorgeous and spacious enough to fit all my guests. We had a smaller wedding for the space but the table layout made the room feel full. I cannot say enough good things about Beth and the entire staff at the Wyndham.

She also followed my instructions for decor and preparation perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about her! She's great. Also, the location itself is perfect and unique in its own way. It is right in playhouse square so you get a view of the chandelier from the ballroom. Honestly our wedding was perfect in every way. The reception flowed perfectly and Beth was on top of it the whole time. The service staff was perfect as well, especially the bartenders. We could not have been happier with our wedding at the Wyndham Cleveland at Playhouse Square. We planned our wedding from Washington DC, and planning a wedding from a distance can be difficult but our coordinator Beth really made it all easy. She was fast to respond to emails (a must in my book), was willing to work with us on customizing our beer list (very important to us) and last-minute changes. The staff at the Wyndham could not have been more professional and we enjoyed interacting with everyone we met. We had our ceremony and reception at the Wyndham and we were worried about the ceremony looking too much like a hotel ballroom, but we had it in front of the windows and it was great. We have gotten so many compliments on the reception and the venue in general that we cannot recommend the Wyndham highly enough--the food was delicious and we continue to get compliments on it. Thank you to Beth and the wonderful team at the Wyndham who made our whirlwind weekend not only classy and lovely, but a blast and a breeze.

We had our wedding at another venue, but stayed at the Wyndham with our guests before and after the wedding.\r\rThe staff allowed us to Host a \"meet and greet with the bride and groom\" after the rehearsal for our out of town guests. It was wonderful! \r\rWe additionally hosted a \"hangover brunch\" the next day, that was also excellent!\r\rThe 2 negative things about the stay:\r1. Our room was not ready at 3:10 when we arrived, we were told it would be ready at 3pm. When it was not ready, we were place in another room, that ANOTHER GUEST had already checked in to. Thankfully when my husband alerted the front desk to the issue, it was resolved in 10 minutes. we were very satisfied with our suite\r2. when we called for our car on Friday night (rehearsal and dinner to get to), we were told to call 15 minutes in advance. We called 20 minutes in advance. We waiting for 35 minutes for our car, which made us 20 minutes late to our own rehearsal and dinner. My aunt and uncle also waiting nearly 40 minutes for their car\r\rbesides the 2 mishaps, all went well. Oh and 3 days later i'm still waiting to hear back from them about a $400 charge on my credit card.

Don't know where to begin to thank everyone at the Wyndham at Playhouse Square for an incredible wedding for my daughter which lasted for three days. My primary contact was always Beth Blankenship. I realized what a wonderful feeling it was to have someone say \"we can do that\" to everything I requested. More importantly for them to take my vision and make it a reality. From the chef who catered to special diet requests to Beth who helped create my vision in decorating a glamorous environment in the ballroom, creating room blocks and everything in between. The Staff were very courteous and helpful. People have been so complimentary about all aspects of the wedding including the valet efficiency. Beth was always available and replied very quickly to any calls or emails. She made last minute changes quickly and easily. We had two other events there that weekend - cocktails on the terrace friday and a sumptuous breakfast on sunday in the ballroom. It all went off without a hitch. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Wyndham at Playhouse Square, and could not have been happier. The bay windows on the second floor provided a beautiful scene for the perfect ceremony. We used the third floor outdoor terrace for cocktail hour where you could take photographs with the chandelier in the background which guests absolutely loved! The reception in the ball room was set up beautiful and exactly as we'd imagined. The service was fast and efficient and the food was delicious. Beth helped us every step of the way with all of our planning needs. She was very good at responding and communicating through emails and made sure our wedding day went by seamlessly. While summer is the busiest wedding season, she did a great job at making you feel like a priority at all times!

We had both our ceremony and reception at the Wyndham at Playhouse Square, and could not have been happier. The bay windows on the second floor provided a beautiful scene for the perfect ceremony. We used the third floor outdoor terrace for cocktail hour where you could take photographs with the chandelier in the background which guests absolutely loved! The reception in the ball room was set up beautiful and exactly as we'd imagined. The service was fast and efficient and the food was delicious. Beth helped us every step of the way with all of our planning needs. She was very good at responding and communicating through emails and made sure our wedding day went by seamlessly. While summer is the busiest wedding season, she did a great job at making you feel like a priority at all times!

The food was fabulous, the room was elegant and the bar service as well as the overall service was perfect! All our requests were accommodated by Beth and her staff down to the smallest detail. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and fun filled evening from start to finish. Just wished it could have last longer!

Even when Beth wasn't immediately available, the rest of the staff was more than accommodating! Every detail that we asked to be taken care of was without hesitation. Beth, the wedding coordinator there, was so very helpful, accommodating and nice! Everything was truly perfect - a fairy tale day! When the ballroom doors opened for dinner, it looked like they prepared a royal wedding for us! Excellent in every way!

On July 11, 2015, we had a wonderful wedding celebration at The Wyndham Cleveland At Playhouse Square. Working with Beth Blackenship from start to finish made the planning so easy. Beth promptly answered emails and phone calls, listening to us and assisting us through every last detail. The event space was beautiful and comfortably seated our 260 guests. The tables were set meticulously right down to the blackberry, rather than a strawberry, in each champagne glass since the wedding was black and white. Beth was there making sure every detail was attended to and candles were all lit before the doors were open. The food was delicious! The choices were all outstanding, but we went with a duet plate which worked out well for serving a large group. Table service was efficient but not intrusive. Also, The Wyndham worked well with outside vendors. (We had chairs delivered to the Wyndham and they took care of it from there.)I feel that, together, we planned the \"perfect\" wedding. Our guests raved about the inviting room, delicious food, great bar service and all around spectacular evening. Wonderful memories!!

Beth, the social manager (coordinator extraordinaire!), was always quick to answer questions and offer insight, and made the reception planning process incredibly easy.\r\rOur meals were excellent, the alcohol flowed, and their contract with Wildflour Bakery for the cake was perfect. We planned our event from out of town and the Wyndham was fantastic to work with! Beth did a great job communicating any changing needs we had and accommodating our requests. We had 130 at our wedding and it was perfect size. It felt so intimate and looked beautiful. The food was fantastic and the serve staff was excellent. We selected the Wyndham over the other downtown hotels because the others had a \"conference feel\" to them. The Wyndham was just beautiful with the windows overlooking Playhouse Square. Just lovely!

We chose to get married at the Wyndham after looking at over 20 other places - there is only one reception hall (thus only one wedding per night and we would not have to share with another party), great location, great package options, and of course a wonderful and kind wedding planner - Beth. I am not sure how I could have made it through the wedding planning process without her guidance and expertise. Beth was available to answer questions and give advice all through the process (an very very promptly), she was flexible and accommodating with absolutely everything we needed - flowers, cake, decorations. FYI - the cake was included in our Wyndham package and it was just delicious!!! Most importantly on the day of the event Beth and the Wyndham staff were extremely organized and the event went smoothly. The Wyndham staff - servers, bartenders, and valet parking staff were very polite, pleasant, and accommodating. The food was great and the drinks were good. After the event - the hotel staff was kind to pack up all our little things we brought (pictures/signs/center piece accents etc) and it was just ready for us to pick up - so convenient! We also did do a breakfast buffer for our guests the next morning - this was nicely set up, room well decorated, and good food! We are really lucky to have had such a great experience and would certainly highly recommend Wyndham to anyone planning any events - wedding or otherwise.

We were originally planning our wedding for the summer of 2015 in Las Vegas. Due to a family medical issue, we decided to move our wedding up 9 months to ensure all family members could attend. We went from 15 months to plan a wedding, to just 3 months! We were extremely stressed out & guessing that we’d have a hard time finding a nice venue that actually had an open Saturday in the next 100 days. We called & visited a few venues in the area & we were pleasantly surprised to find that the Wyndham at Playhouse Square still had a Saturday in September available. \r\rAfter viewing the venue & meeting with the Catering Manager (Beth Blakenship) we decided to book the Wyndham. Some of the main reasons we initially went with the Wyndham were: the downtown location, the value, our confidence in Beth & some of the perks they offered. From the first day we went to check out the venue to the “Thank You” letter we received 2 days after our wedding, Beth has been a godsend! Beth is extremely professional & personable. Due to the family medical issue mentioned earlier, we had about 100 changes to our reception plans over the last 2 months & it was no problem for Beth. Every email sent was replied to the same day…even when we’d send 10 emails in 1 day. The staff at the Wyndham can handle anything you want or need to make your wedding day special: table cloths, chair covers, centerpieces, decorations you bring in & want them to set up, last minute headcount changes, special menu for those with dietary restrictions, special placement of vendors and/or vendor supplies (DJ, photobooth, etc). You can even have your Ceremony & Reception there. One of the nice perks offered to us was free use of the Wyndham shuttle bus. It’s an added bonus for a wedding party to use for pictures around downtown Cleveland, right after the ceremony ends. \r\rThe Wedding Day – We had our ceremony at a church in the suburbs & were out for pictures during our cocktail hour. When we got to the Wyndham we were so impressed. The staff was taking care of all of our guests: 2 bars, both with 2 bartenders & no line was more than 3 people long. There was also multiple staff members passing out hors d'oeuvres & everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Also, all the decorations we brought the day before were all on display EXACTLY how we asked Beth to do. Once they opened the doors to the ballroom, we were amazed! The place looked great & everything was setup how we wanted it & all guest tables had the appropriate number of seats. We received multiple compliments from our guests on how great the food was & how great the portion size was (10 oz NY Strip Steak)! The food was great & came out on time, the bars were well staffed & the venue was beautiful & clean. The added bonus that topped off our night was that my new wife & I snuck out with our photographers & got some amazing shots below the new Playhouse Square chandelier! After the reception ended, my wife & I went up to our FREE suite for the evening. The Wyndham is such a great value that they give the Bride & Groom, the groom’s parents & the bride’s parents free rooms the evening of the wedding. It’s great to know that the Wyndham understands your spending a lot of money to put on a great party & it’s a nice added perk to have 3 free rooms. \r\rIf you want a great venue & a great evening that you & your guests will remember forever, be sure to check out the Wyndham at Playhouse Square for your wedding!

The Wyndham Cleveland hotel did a great job. They easily handled our requests for the block, our guest welcome bags, and even had a special surprise when we checked in for our wedding night. We also utilized their shuttle - and that too was easy to set up. Guests were pleased with the room, and our family and friends enjoyed time together in the lobby bar!

From our first meeting, Christina (the wedding specialist) reassured us, answered our myriad of questions and took exceptional care of every last request and detail. She was a calming presence for me during this whole process! The planning with Christina was easy and painless...the food was delicious (our guests are still raving), the service friendly and professional (we received a lot of feedback about how great the servers were), and the venue classy and comfortable. The banquet room is a unique space for a wedding hotel and can accommodate small, medium or large weddings. The hotel staff also was friendly and helpful - the front desk staff took such great care of our guests. It was so nice to have everything in one place, especially for a winter wedding in Cleveland - we got ready, had the ceremony and reception all at the hotel. I couldn't have asked for a more elegant, beautiful and enjoyable wedding day.
