We had a truly awful experience with the Crowne Plaza Cabana. Our frustrations included (but were not limited to):1) Our guests were continually told there was only one room left in our room block (even when that was not true), providing unnecessary stress to our guests.2) Our guests who did use the room block were overcharged $20 more than the going rate had they just booked online; halfway through our block period we were informed there were no more rooms available at our current rate and the rates needed to be raised an additional $20. Again, when compared to the website for non-block guests, rooms $40 cheaper were available.3) Wanted to charge our guests double the going price for breakfast ($35/person, rather than the $16/person for guests just walking in for breakfast)While the hotel was somewhat responsive, they were disorganized, with no lack of communication between the events planner and the front desk staff. We are very glad we only had guests staying here and had our wedding ceremony and reception elsewhere.

From the moment we contacted the Crowne Plaza Cabaña in Palo Alto, CA, we were met with warmth, welcoming customer service, excellence, and excitement. Our planner, Kelsey Krimmer, was such a joy to work with and she really helped us think through every little detail that helped us have a truly perfect and picturesque day. She was highly responsive, professional, detail-oriented, and thorough throughout every step of the planning process. The venue itself is gorgeous--definitely several steps above other Crowne Plaza properties that we visited in the Bay Area. Having our ceremony in the courtyard, cocktail reception up above the courtyard on the sun deck, and reception in the adjoining Cyprus room was such a convenient, lovely, easy arrangement for both the wedding party and our guests. All of the vendors that Kelsey recommended did an outstanding job of bringing our vision to life--especially since we didn't really have a vision to begin with! Booking the Crowne Plaza Cabaña was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I would do it all over again 100x if I could. The money you spend here is money well-spent. We could have done it cheaper elsewhere, but it wouldn't have been nearly as stunning, convenient, or seamless as it turned out to be. Thank you to the entire CPC team for helping us pull off a wedding day that was BEYOND our wildest dreams!!!
