Crystal Ballroom at The Burt is a ballroom venue hosting weddings in Hutchinson, KS. This downtown gem has been renovated with care and respect, and now once again offers couples the chance to dance the night away. The property seamlessly blends the old and the new and will delight couples searching for a fully-equipped venue with lots of character. The Burt Building has stood guard on its corner of historic downtown Hutchinson since its foundation in 1901. Its current owner Lucinda Piligian acquired the building after coming home from Los Angeles, where she had spent time as an actress. Leaving the silver-screen and palm trees of LA, she returned to her beloved Hutchinson and pursued a career in real-estate renovation with her sister Kathy. Their company, Flying Dog Properties, has worked hard to return the Crystal Ballroom to its former glory. Guests will marvel at the elegance of its designer chandeliers sparkling in the space’s ample natural light. The ballroom has retained its exposed brick walls and maple-wood floors, which create a tasteful and rugged tone. The wedding party can unwind in the Foxtrot Longue, and enjoy a quiet moment at its bar with its vintage feel and warm decor. There is a separate get-ready space in the Tango Parlor which provides a cozy atmosphere in which to gather before the ceremony. Crystal Ballroom at The Burt offers everything needed for a magical celebration that your guests will never forget. Lucinda and her team invite couples to put their personal touch to the venue and offer a variety of furniture and decor rentals. The staff can assist in the setup and cleanup of events, and the ballroom comes ready for a night-long celebration with cutting-edge audiovisual equipment. The management welcome outside vendors and there is even a catering kitchen on-site.
