Crystal Gardens is a wedding venue and banquet center situated in Howell, MI, that aims to create one-of-a-kind experiences for couples and guests. Crystal Gardens features four ballrooms, an outdoor wedding chapel, a lobby bar, and their celebrity showroom which can host events with up to 1,200 guests. Crystal Gardens provides event rentals for the chapel such as white padded Chiavari chairs for 150 guests, a sound system, lavaliers, and lighting. We had our wedding at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Howell, MI in July 2023. I can honestly say from the beginning to the end, I had the most amazing experience with Crystal Gardens and all of their employees. Valerie and DeVonna were both amazing to work with in terms of planning, coordinating, and answering the MANY questions that I had throughout the planning process. We got married in the outdoor chapel and had our reception in the celebrity room. Everyone told me to prepare for things to go wrong, and absolutely nothing went wrong the entire day. The staff was amazing, friendly, on top of everything, asking what we needed, and they helped make our wedding day so amazingly special. The food was incredibly and the guests spoke about the food constantly during and after the wedding. The venue is just breath taking, our photographer said the outdoor chapel felt like we were somewhere in Italy and the celebrity room holds such an elegance to it. There were so many places for our wedding party to take pictures at the venue and they turned out beautifully. I recommend this venue to anyone and everyone for their wedding or any event!

I had my wedding this past weekend - 10.01.2022. Valerie and Erica were very attentive the whole wedding process and great working with. Everything was stress free and a great experience! Both the ceremony and reception went smoothly - mostly due to the event coordinator being on top of everything and handling all problems for us. We chose a package deal which was a great deal for us - the Celebrity Ballroom was beautiful, and I highly recommend that room. The package included buffet, open bar, linens, DJ, and cake - all great! The DJ we chose was through TJ Monte (Mark) and I separately booked with Shutterbooth for a photobooth (better price for what you receive when you book them not through a package). The cake designs were limited, however, this was not a deal breaker for us. The food tasting was great and everyone at the reception loved the buffet! They were very accommodating for extra tables for memory table, gift table, entrance table, and sign in/message table for shutterbooth. The open bar was a hit and was handled very well. Having an outdoor area connected to the celebrity ballroom was ideal and kept everyone in good spirits! Very affordable for everything you can get!!!

Had my wedding this past weekend. I cannot say enough great things about them. Planning was easy, thank you Val and Erica! Our day of coordinator, Barb, was fantastic. Terri was just wonderful and so helpful during dinner and cake cutting. Colleen, our bartender, did an amazing job all night. The food was phenomenal! although they did charge me for a second room (when all my tables would not fit in one room) I couldn't of asked for a better wedding. barb the coordinator made everything from rehersal to day of run so smoothly and she even mailed off our marriage license. Valerie was so helpful all throughout the process leading up to the day of. for our food tasting the chicken was a little dry which I kindly mentioned, but day of the chicken was amazing! literally everything was so perfect and I couldn't picture my day with any other venue. thank you so much to crystal gardens.

Crystal Gardens and their entire staff were fantastic from start to finish with helping us plan our wedding reception. We had to push back our reception in 2020 due to COVID-19 and Crystal Gardens was very accomedating and made the whole process as painless as possible. The package that they offer for their receptions made it easy to plan our wedding as we didn't have to book a DJ, caterer, etc. On the day of the reception the entire staff was fantastic to work with. The chef on site was especially excellent he was constantly checking in with us and our guests to make sure all our needs were met. I would highly recommend Crystal Gardens to anyone!

My fiancé and I postponed our wedding from 2020 to this 10/1/21. Crystal Gardens is a beautiful reception venue with amazing food and they were very accommodating when it came to postponing and transferring our package to a new date . Val was very attentive and knowledgable throughout the process but nearing the big day, some things were a bit off putting. They won't guarantee when you are allowed in to decorate until the week of the wedding which was extremely stressful since I live out of state and had a set itinerary for the wedding week once I was in town. Our final invoice included a $500 room fee for using \"2 rooms\" but it wasn't disclosed in the contract as two rooms and we weren't told it gets charged as two rooms when we looked at the venue either. I was also a little disappointed with Val's demeanor nearing our wedding. Some of her emails to myself and my wedding planner were a bit rude and included comments about how much they (Crystal Gardens) had done for us during covid and how moving our date and size of the wedding was an inconvenience for the venue and that they \"allowed\" us to still have our wedding at their venue even though with the reduced guest count, we o longer met the supposed financial minimum of $13,000+. (Our final bill or 128 guests was $11,072 so we were still up there in cost). Also, Val was not at all flexible when it came to doing a food tasting. I live in Wisconsin and there was absolutely no way to come back to Michigan during the week (Mon-Wed) for a tasting so I never even got to try the food that was going to be served at my wedding. That was very disappointing. When the wedding day came, though very beautiful, Crystal Gardens really fell through on some key elements. The DJ we had was soooo rude (DJ provided by Crystal Gardens, it's one of the package items) and shut down our cocktail hour 30 min early and tried rushing people to their seats to begin dinner. Neither the bridal party or the parents or even the bride and groom had even arrived at the reception yet! The DJ also thought he was running the show and completely disregarded my wedding planner's direction and then mocked her by saying in a baby voice \"Do I need to wait for your permission?\" When she confronted me about this, I spoke to DJ Joe and requested he follow her direction and timeline, he rolled his eyes and walked away from me, the bride!! I was floored by how rude he was and that he was the preferred DJ for the venue!Another big disappointment was that they were incredibly short staffed for dinner service. We had 16 guest tables of 8 and our sweetheart table and only 2-3 waitstaff helping to serve dinner. Again, food was incredible but dinner was 30 min late. Everyone finished their salads and kind of just sat there waiting for the main course. We chose family style and normally the servers make a comment when serving the food, \" If you need refills of anything, please just let us know.\" Well that was never said, and multiple tables ran out of food and refills of shared dishes were not provided, which kind of defeats the purpose of family style. The servers were very polite but the service was stretched thin due to there being so few staff. The reception was truly beautiful and the venue was clean and staff was lovely but I expected more from Crystal Gardens, especially since it was one of the higher priced venues we looked at. Not a horrible experience by any means, but definitely not everything I had hoped it to be.

Crystal Gardens was absolutely amazing from start to finish with our wedding day! We unfortunately were one of the couples that had to push their wedding day back due to COVID-19, but everyone at Crystal Gardens was so helpful and accommodating with our situation! We worked with Valerie for getting all of the details set for the day of and she was always very quick, responsive, and so helpful with all of our questions. On the day of the wedding, the entire staff (head captain, wait staff, bartenders, chef, etc.) was so kind and made sure that everything ran so smoothly without us or any of our guests having to worry about anything. I would definitely recommend Crystal Gardens to anyone who is looking to have an event!

John and Val at CG went above and beyond for us for our wedding! It was such a difficult time to plan during COVID and they were beyond flexible and helpful. The night of our wedding went completely smoothly and without a hitch. I never felt an ounce of stress that day and the staff was so helpful and nice. They really took care of us and our families and made sure we had everything we needed. I cannot recommend them enough!

John and Val at CG went above and beyond for us for our wedding! It was such a difficult time to plan during COVID and they were beyond flexible and helpful. The night of our wedding went completely smoothly and without a hitch. I never felt an ounce of stress that day and the staff was so helpful and nice. They really took care of us and our families and made sure we had everything we needed. I cannot recommend them enough!

Crystal Gardens is refusing to refund money for weddings cancelled due to COVID. The current executive order does not allow for gatherings over the 10 indoors, and based on our previous conversations with Valerie (one of their wedding coordinators), it appears they don’t care about complying with that. When we expressed our concerns over our guest count a while back, Valerie mentioned that we needed to have a minimum of 50 guests since Saturday was a prime wedding day. It sounds like Crystal Gardens cares more about making money than the safety of the guests. When we inquired about an outdoor wedding, we were told the venue didn’t have a tent at the moment, and if they got one, it would literally be a tent in their parking lot. I didn’t put thousands of dollars down in deposits and want to pay thousands more for a parking lot wedding. As for the wedding in the Southgate location with 9 positive COVID cases, all news articles mention the wedding had well over the 10 guests allowed indoors. I understand that this is a different location, but I assume the Howell location is affiliated. Worst decision ever deciding to book with this venue... go elsewhere, it isn’t worth the headache!

Crystal gardens is refusing to refund our money after having to cancel our wedding due to COVID-19. The current executive order in Michigan does not allow for social gatherings over 10 people indoors, so we did not feel comfortable holding our originally planned wedding of over 100 guests in this location. When we reached out to Valerie, one of the wedding coordinators, about reducing our guest count, she mentioned that since we were having a wedding on a \"Saturday during our prime wedding season\" (exact words from Valerie) that they would not be able to accommodate our request. Their \"compromise\" was to allow us to hold a reception of 50 guests indoors (during a global pandemic), so they could meet a minimum dollar amount that they deemed appropriate for a \"Saturday during prime wedding season\". Not wanting to put our family and close friends, some of which are in the \"high risk\" group for COVID-related complications, at risk by holding an indoor event with 5x the allowed guest count, we inquired about holding our reception outdoors. Not only did Crystal gardens not have possession of a tent at the moment, the tent would be set up in their parking lot. When we originally booked our reception in the \"Celebrity Ballroom\" (a $1,000 upcharge), we were expecting a certain quality for our wedding reception that a parking lot wedding reception would not meet. From my first phone call with Valerie, I was thoroughly impressed by this venue. We're so thankful we chose CG! Valerie gracefully handled SEVERAL phone calls from me, my parents, and my in-laws as we wanted to make sure that everything would be safe for our guests. Sometimes we didn't get the straight answers we were hoping for on how much they enforced safety measures with guests, which could be a bit frustrating, but at the end of the day it was their license on the line and they seemed pretty relaxed about everything. They do have plenty of hand sanitizer and social-distancing floor stickers at the bar. They prefer if mask-wearing expectations come straight from the bride and groom rather than their staff, which we shared via email and ceremony signage, and everybody was totally fine with it. If they weren't, they stayed home.The chapel coordinator, Barbara, is fantastic! She's been in the business for a decade, also happens to be a seamstress and master boutonnière-pinner (she saved my husband from having his on the wrong side of his jacket AND me when a button on my dress fell off), and she RAN THE SHOW expertly and efficiently at our rehearsal time and on game day. Our wedding was August 1. At that point our 250-person dream wedding had a guest count of just under 100. We were holding our breath the month before, hoping nothing the Governor decided would effect our plans. Everything looked great until the DAY BEFORE, Valerie called me at 3pm because Gov. Whitmer had specifically mentioned wedding venues and banquet halls on her most recent executive order (some were able to get away with operating at the 50% capacity rule under a restaurant license if they had one, before these types of businesses got specifically called out in an order that took effect the day before our wedding, even though it had just been released one day prior). I definitely felt stressed after she told me, but a few phone calls later and Valerie had come up with a solution. They let our wedding go almost exactly as planned, but we did everything in the open-air chapel--guests sat at the reception tables the whole night long. I'm not sure we would've been nearly as lucky if another wedding had been scheduled that day, or if we had picked a different venue without the outdoor component. We had to fit more guests per table than we would've liked, but maybe it ended up being safer since it was all outside--hard to say what safety measures go farther than others. We also just did open seating since people know who they're comfortable sitting with. It rained a little that day but everyone was comfortable inside the chapel with options to visit in the adjoining patio area or the spacious bar indoors.We loved the Traverse City Chicken, their bruschetta and antipasto appetizers, and their cake (REAL tiered cakes made by their pastry chef--my husband loved it and he usually can't stand cake). DJ Joe of Mobile Rhythms was fabulous and professional. The manager for our reception was very kind and made sure we were well taken care of. Overall it was a MIRACLE that our wedding went as well as it did and we are SO GRATEFUL to CG staff for making our wedding dreams come true! Highly recommended even during these crazy times!

I was so impressed with this venue. The wedding coordinator Barbara was amazing. She made sure everything went nice and smooth. She helped with planning how everyone would walk down to telling the wedding party when to start walking. The reception was perfect. If something was spilled they where on top of it. The even went as far as to fill my plate(we had buffet style) and bring it back to my spot so I wouldn't spill anything on my dress. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Crystal Gardens and it was absolutely perfect. The first thing we liked about this venue was the Open Air Chapel. It is absolutely breathtaking, and an ideal compromise between an indoor and outdoor wedding. Another big thing for us was that we could have the ceremony and reception at the same location, and that everything was included in the price; bar, food and wait staff. We didn't want to have to go through the trouble of hiring a lot of different vendors, and Crystal Gardens made that easy for us. The day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch, and I truly felt that my day was in good hands thanks to the meticulous planning of the staff members. The food was incredible. We had many guests tell us it was the best they ever had at a wedding. The ballroom was beautiful, and we had our own personal patio which everybody loved. It was an overall amazing day and experience. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, elegant, hassle-free wedding for a great price.

We had our dream wedding at Crystal Gardens yesterday. I cannot speak highly enough about the entire experience from start to finish. The venue was beautiful upon first walking in. Every single staff member we worked with was fantastic. They were polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our coordinator had left CG halfway through the planning process, but the transition to our new point of contact, Valerie, was completely seamless. She was so helpful and had great recommendations and advice for the planning process. She answered emails and phone calls so promptly and always followed through with what we asked of her. CG has an entire pamphlet of optional vendors that they work with regularly, and every single one that we used was fabulous. The day of the event, things went so smoothly. The ceremony coordinator, Barbara, was fantastic. She made everything run seamlessly from keeping me hidden from the groom to adjusting a necklace to hide the clasp before I walked down. The reception was perfect and ran smoothly and efficiently. The food was served quickly and it was delicious. At the end of the day, we could not name a single thing that went wrong because the staff at CG was so on top of things. I would absolutely recommend having your wedding/event here. The team at Crystal Gardens truly knows what they’re doing. Thank you so much for making our big day everything we could have hoped for.

Valerie was always super accommodating to everything we needed! Barb went above and beyond the day of, she really knows how to make sure things get done! Super helpful and so sweet! My wedding was at Crystal Gardens (Southgate) on Friday, September 7th, 2018, and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We had the ceremony in the chapel there and the chapel was already decorated perfect, so we only had to worry about setting up decorations in the reception banquet room. We had an end room and a lot of guests loved that we had access to the nice outside patio area. We went with the Supreme package and were really pleased with the price compared to other venues I checked out when I first got engaged. Our package made it easy to get in touch with all the vendors and the ones we chose were all wonderful to work with. At the reception, the FOOD WAS AWESOME! I’m still getting compliments from guests on how good all the food was. We went with prime rib, chicken, and vegetable lasagna for entrees. The staff at Crystal Gardens came up to my husband and I multiple times throughout the night to check in with us and make sure we had everything we needed. Our bartender, Andrea, was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond helping us out the day of and helping to clean up after our reception that night. It feels really good to have so many people tell me that they had so much fun at my wedding and continue to tell me how nice it was. I would recommend Crystal Gardens to anyone getting married.

I am SO incredibly happy that we chose to go with Crystal Gardens for our wedding on 10/21/2017! The service was stellar, the food was fantastic (the prime rib was one of the best I've ever had!), and the venue was beautiful! We worked primarily with Valerie leading up to our big day and she was so patient and helpful in answering all of our questions and concerns. Our coordinator, Barb, was also super helpful in making sure the day went smoothly. The servers in our reception hall were fast and efficient. As the bride and groom we had our own \"go-to\" person that was so attentive to anything we asked for. The bartender remembered my drink order every time I went for a refill and being the only bartender in a room full of people I was quite impressed! An employee even helped to remove a bead from my nephews ear during our ceremony! (Apparently our nuptials were not entertaining enough to a 6 year old!) They truly go above and beyond here to make your day perfect! As for the price, we looked at a couple of venues where we would have paid the some that we had paid at Crystal Gardens for ONLY the venue. At Crystal Gardens, this included the venue, food, open bar, the open air chapel for our ceremony (this was actually a small amount extra but the total price was still less than we would have spent anywhere else), and we got to choose three things to include in our price. They give you a list when you first inquire including things like DJ, cake, invitations, etc. that you can add without paying extra but they also let you substitute. We went with cake, chair covers, and a bar upgrade. We also got our invitations through them at a discounted rate because we had booked there. There is a financial minimum for the size room we chose, meaning we had to pay for a minimum number of people even if fewer people RSVP'd. However, they let you take that money you pay to make up the difference to reach your financial minimum and apply it towards something else so we were also able to add a fall dessert table that included pumpkin and apple pie and cider and donuts and a champagne toast for the entire room (rather than just the head table). There are truly not enough good things to say about Crystal Gardens!

As the bride and groom we had our own \"go-to\" person that was so attentive to anything we asked for. The bartender remembered my drink order every time I went for a refill and being the only bartender in a room full of people I was quite impressed! An employee even helped to remove a bead from my nephews ear during our ceremony! (Apparently our nuptials were not entertaining enough to a 6 year old!) They truly go above and beyond here to make your day perfect! As for the price, we looked at a couple of venues where we would have paid the some that we had paid at Crystal Gardens for ONLY the venue. At Crystal Gardens, this included the venue, food, open bar, the open air chapel for our ceremony (this was actually a small amount extra but the total price was still less than we would have spent anywhere else), and we got to choose three things to include in our price. They give you a list when you first inquire including things like DJ, cake, invitations, etc. that you can add without paying extra but they also let you substitute. We went with cake, chair covers, and a bar upgrade. We also got our invitations through them at a discounted rate because we had booked there. There is a financial minimum for the size room we chose, meaning we had to pay for a minimum number of people even if fewer people RSVP'd. However, they let you take that money you pay to make up the difference to reach your financial minimum and apply it towards something else so we were also able to add a fall dessert table that included pumpkin and apple pie and cider and donuts and a champagne toast for the entire room (rather than just the head table). There are truly not enough good things to say about Crystal Gardens!

I had my ceremony and reception at Crystal Gardens. I would recommend it to any bride. The open air chapel was beautiful and exactly what I imagined did my wedding. Valerie was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. She quickly responded to all of my emails and questions. The food and atmosphere was amazing. All of my guests loved the food and the ballroom. The only compliant we had was that after the groom and I left our reception, they started cleaning up and putting chairs away while the majority of our guests were still there. I get that the night ended at 11:00 but it seemed a little premature and awkward to start cleaning up at 10:50 in front of guests. I was not there to witness that so for me, as the bride, it was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing.

Our wedding turned out to be everything we ever dreamed of and more. Crystal Gardens was the perfect location for our wants and needs. Valerie was amazing for the pre-planning process and was always available and helpful with any and all questions I had leading up to the big day. She always promptly responded to me and went out of her way to get the necessary answers I sought out. She also had great ideas and suggestions for things that I didn't even consider. We held our rehearsal dinner in the Lobby Bar and everything was excellent. Barb was our ceremony coordinator and she made my whole wedding party at ease the night of the rehearsal. Barb was also prepared and able to help the day of with a few wardrobe malfunctions and made everything work. The staff during our reception was wonderful and the bartenders remembered what everyone was drinking. As the bride, I didn't have to handle my own plate and had a staff member plate my food for me so I wouldn't get anything on my dress. Overall Crystal Gardens was a great banquet center for our wedding, we have heard nothing but good things from all of our guests who attended. Thank you!

We absolutely loved having our wedding here. The outdoor chapel is beautiful, the catering was great (my guests raved about it!) and the reception hall was perfect. The only snag we had was with the day-of ceremony coordinator. WHAT AN AWESOME VENUE!!!! We just got married May 14th, 2016 and it was perfect. They performed our wedding day perfectly. We got our cake designed and made, linens, booked our DJ, held our ceremony in their outdoor chapel, ordered invitations, and was able to do a food tasting. Our cake was exactly what we were looking for and we received so many compliments on how delicious it was. With the food, there were so many options and it was all so delicious. We went with the three entree buffet that served chicken, top round of beef, and tilapia; they also let you have a vegetable, pasta, potato/rice, as well as, salad, sorbet, and bread. The staff made the evening as well! Right from the beginning the event planners and office staff were always able to meet with us or answer any questions. The chapel coordinator was AWESOME! Everyone loved her, she knows her stuff and is strict, yet is hilarious and likes to have fun with your party. I will always recommend this place to anyone looking for an event space.

We had our wedding at Crystal Gardens in June. Valerie was our event coordinator. She was very helpful for us as we planned our wedding from out of state. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service that we were provided. A few tidbits that I wish I would have known before booking... The chapel coordinator is very hands on and you wont meet her until the rehearsal so be prepared, there is no place for the guys to get ready on-site, the bridal suite does not allow prep in that room or food, avoid the white wine at all costs (its terrible). This makes the review seem terrible but really out of everything, these were the only bad experiences we had. Outside of this, they were extremely flexible and willing to work with us. It was a great value for the price and the wedding chapel is extremely unique.

I could not say enough about how great my experience with Crystal Gardens was. \r\rFrom my first meeting with Kari until the very last minute of my reception, they were so helpful and attentive and made me feel like a princess on my special day. As many brides are, I was very concerned with my budget but Kari and the sales team worked with me to get exactly what I wanted to make my package work. I also won an upgrade at their free bridal show which really helped enhance the reception. They were very flexible and attentive during the planning and I could not have had a better experience.\r\rDuring the reception, our banquet captain was very attentive and made me feel like royalty (she even put a special note on the box that our top tier of the cake was placed in). I really was not expecting such personal detail and it was a very nice surprise. Everyone complimented on the \"best wedding food they've had\" and how beautiful the reception hall was. Some people told me it was the best wedding they've been to and I would definitely say that is because Crystal Gardens has it all.. beautiful atmosphere, great food, and friendly and over the top service. \r\rTheir outdoor chapel is absolutely gorgeous (and covered in case of rain) and the convenience of having your ceremony and reception in the same place is great! There are a lot of trees, shrubbery and flowers surrounding the chapel and we didn't need to go anywhere else to take pictures. They also have a wedding coordinator on site (Barbara) and she is just fantastic. You can tell she has many years of experience because she literally does not miss a single detail. She was a real pleasure to work with. \r\rI don't think I could ever put into words exactly how grateful I am for Crystal Gardens giving me the best day of my life. I could not say enough about how great my experience with Crystal Gardens was. \r\rFrom my first meeting with Kari until the very last minute of my reception, they were so helpful and attentive and made me feel like a princess on my special day. As many brides are, I was very concerned with my budget but Kari and the sales team worked with me to get exactly what I wanted to make my package work. I also won an upgrade at their free bridal show which really helped enhance the reception. Jessica is amazing, working with her made everything go flawless working up, and the day of the wedding. The wait staff was exceptional, they were on top of everything. Services was timely, everyone got their salad at the same time, followed by dinner. The staff was very friendly and when I had a question or needed to change the time line a bit, they accommodated right away. \r\rThe food was fantastic, presentation was great also. Everyone was very pleased with their food. \r\rThey did not leave one scrap of trash on the property, they took care of everything the night of. \r\rThe only thing I would say is that we did not have steak knifes for the prime rib. It was tender enough not to need them, but it was a bit strange cutting prime rib with regular dinner knifes.

Crystal Gardens gave my husband and I a beautiful wedding! They are true professionals and we always felt we were in good hands. They were always easy to get in contact with during the planning process, and their outdoor chapel was a GORGEOUS place to say our \"I DO's\"! I really wanted to be married outside, but my anxiety about the weather put a stop on that. Their Open-Air chapel is a perfect remedy for that. You are still outdoors, but it is covered in case of inclement weather. Luckily we had a gorgeous day anyhow! Barbara was our ceremony coordinator and I don't think we would have made it so smoothly without her. Christina was our Banquet Captain and made sure our reception was spot on. This team of three is the best! I cannot say enough about how they made our wedding day so special. The food and cake were great, as they provided both. With our wedding being on a Sunday, the package options they had definitely made it worth it for the money. Everything was very reasonable. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

We got married December 2013 at Crystal Gardens. This was one of the better priced venues I found and the building itself is beautiful. They have a chapel and three ballroms, along with a grand staircase in the lobby - great for pics. Unfortunately, Tammy, the person we worked with to get the wedding plans set up there was not very helpful. She was difficult to get a hold of, and things we told her we wanted at the wedding weren't on our final bill of sale from them. We received that a few weeks before the wedding, so I was able to call and make sure they were added. But it should've been done right the first time. Also, they told us since they opened the ballroom doors a half hour early after the ceremony ended, that we would have to have the reception end a half hour early. This had been spoken about with Tammy when we first booked Crystal Gardens and she said they would open the doors early, no problems, no repercussions. Also, they forgot to light the candles for the ceremony that the moms would use to light the pillars for our unity candle portion of the ceremony. They also forgot to give us a knife to cut our cake with. I know these don't seem like big mistakes, but for the amount of money you pay for the venue, I expected everything to be perfect. The food was good though, and our guests really enjoyed it. We had a great time at our wedding and our guests did too. I had just expected since this is a venue where they have done multiple weddings on the same night even, that the staff would've made sure everything was ready.

We got married in the Outdoor Chapel (holds 170) and had our reception inside in the Celebrity Ballroom which held 160 people. Everything was perfect! The chapel is the main reason we booked this place, because you can make any ballroom look how you want it to. It's covered so if it rains (which it did on and off) your guests are covered, but its completely open on each side so you still get the outdoor feel to it. There is a master of ceremony that they provide there. They have a sound system but you have to find your own person to play the music for the ceremony. We paid our DJ (which we got in our package through them) extra to play the music because their DJs are familiar with the sound system. \r\rThere is a little park down the street that's perfect for pictures and there are a lot of gardens around the Crystal Gardens grounds. The food and staff during the reception were great! The bartenders were great. We did a package that included the house bar, food (we did family style but you could do plated or buffet), a late night snack and 3 of the following: DJ, chair covers, cake, photo booth.\r\rThe only downsides to this place are that we had our wedding on a Saturday, and since they have weddings there on Fridays, we couldn't set up in our ballroom until the day of at 10am. It took a little coordinating but it worked out just find. Also, they have a lobby cash bar in the middle that's open all night if people want other drinks that arent available at your open bar, but they have liquor licenses for each individual ballroom and that lobby bar, but not for the hallway. So whichever room you order your drink, you have to drink it there too. Our wedding was on the same night as a huge college football rivalry game and we had a good chunk of people watching the end of the game in the bar, but wanted to bring their drinks from the open bar.\r\rAnyway, overall I would highly recommend this place. They took a huge load of stress out of the planning process, especially with the packages they offer so you don't have to deal with as many vendors individually. Perfect wedding day (minus the rain)!

Crystal Gardens was the ideal venue for our wedding. I loved the open air chapel and the easy access to the ballroom after the ceremony. It was very helpful having the ceremony and reception in one location for our out of town guests. The staff were excellent to work with. I planned the wedding out of state and they were always there to answer any questions and I was also able to visit their venue when I was in town without having to make an appointment first. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue to host our wedding.

Delicious food. Justin (i think that was his name), our event captain for the night was super accommodating, attentive and very good at his job. His expertise made the dinner service go really smoothly. The prime rib was perfect, as was the rest of the food. Jessica, the VP of something or other, helped us set our order up, helped set up a floor plan (which we later scrapped for something we liked better), and replied to all of my panicked e-mails quickly and thoroughly. They provided the bartender and allowed us to bring in all of our own booze, which was a big help. The only thing I had a bit of an issue with was that the bartender (who was prepaid a tip of $200 for the night) disappeared a few times without a cover, basically leaving people to either fend for themselves, or to wait. Most chose to pour their own drinks while she was away, which didn't seem to be a problem with anyone. Overall, I'd recommend them.

This past October I had my ceremony and reception at the Crystal Gardens and everything was amazing. Sharon was there to help make sure everything went of without a hitch and it did! The food was perfect, all the guests were happy and I honestly don't have a single complaint!

This banquet hall is beautiful! The people are extremely accommodating and help get you the best deal. The food is also delicious! The day of the wedding it ended up raining, but the photographer was able to get glamorous shots just within and around the reception hall. Highly recommend.

Crystal Gardens was offering an amazing deal if you got married on Friday or Sunday! Family style meal, open bar, 18% gratuity, 6% sales tax, and 3/5 things: cake, DJ, chair covers, invitations, or photo booth, all for $60.95/person!! (NOTE: we booked in Dec 2010 and got married Aug 2012. They may not be offering this deal anymore) The staff is eager and willing to help. They assist with as much as you want them to. They give you a wedding coordinator for your wedding day to help things move along smoothly. The food was amazing, the chair covers were beautiful, the cake was delicious... it was EXACTLY what I wanted. The venue is beautiful and we had a lot of compliments. We used their chapel, so the ceremony & reception were at the same location- I loved that! I just wish that we could have had a little more time for pictures (ceremony started at 6:30p [20 min service] and reception doors opened at 7. we made the grand entrance at 7:45). There is a small bridal suite to change and get ready in, but they ask that you do not do hair, makeup, etc. in there. I wish i could have gotten my it done at crystal gardens because I did not get my hair professionally done. \rOverall- great experience. I would recommend Crystal Gardens to anyone looking for a great staff to work with, a place within your budget, cheap on price but not on service, and a place to have an amazingly gorgeous wedding.

I used this vendor for my ceremony site only. It was $650! This was very expensive because I was only renting the outside location for 1 hour. This included 100 white folding chairs. The bad part was that they said this was also supposed to include audio equipment. Well, on the day of the wedding nothing worked. They played some music I had on a CD for when the guests were arriving but I was having live musicians and singers and their equipment couldn't be played. The singers had to sing with a battery controlled mic they happened to have without any music. Then I called them the following Monday to complain and I didn't hear anything for about a week. I called again and was told I was getting part of a refund in the mail and, a month later, I still haven't received or heard anything. I only gave them 2 stars because the site was very beautiful and because it is extremely hard to find a place to allow you to rent their place for the ceremony only.

This place is amazing! we had our ceremony and our recption here. I love the fact that they offered so much in our package and I didnt have to worry about alot of the things most brides have to worry about. they made the planning smooth and easy. Our wedding went wonderfull with no flaws.

fist off when i booked the hall i was told i get a free rehersal dinner as long as the lobby bar was opened. well that never happened. than our reception started at 6pm my husband and i arrived there at about 6:10 on purpose so that everyone would be seated or at least in the hall for our entrance as husband nd wife.well the staff wouldnt allow the bride and groom in the room untill the whole buffet was stocked and since their staff was behind, we were not able to enter our own reception until 7:15!!!!! i was so mad they just kept telling us to hold on one more minute. if i would've known, we would of been taking pics during that time or something. so we finally get to enter the room. i never got to see any of the cheese table or the sangrias that we paid for. the appatizer table was totally gone by the time we got in the room. also my fiance didnt have any time to go around and thank everyone for coming to the wedding. then to top it off a couple drunk guys from the other party they were having there broke down the fence to our patio and started beating up my cousin for no reason. that ruined my night. we missed our last dance as husband and wife. i was just not impressed. i thought it was going to be my \"princess wedding\". well i guess not. all in all it was gorgous.

We used crystal gardens for our wedding on 3/23/12 and they were the best! They offered so much for our money! They were always willing to take phone calls and if someone was busy they called back within a half hour! The day of the wedding the workers came up to us multiple times through the night to make sure we were happy with how things were going and they made sure my husband and I were taken care of at all time!

I had really high hopes for Crystal Gardens and they were not met. I felt that I was just a number to them and every time I went in I had to tell them exactly what I wanted(instead of them writing it in a permanent file). I also found the room I had to be too small and that they didn't respect many of my wishes. Although the venue is amazing, I believe that they could make their food better. Overall I didn't feel that WOW factor at my reception.

I absolutely loved working with the Crystal Gardens. Not only was it a beautiful setting, but they were so easy to work with. Our guests kept telling us how beautiful everything looked, and we barely had to spend any money on flowers or decorations! The food was delicious, people couldn't stop commenting! I am thrilled with how our wedding went. The coordinator, Kate, was fabulous.

Crystal Gardens went above and beyond my expectations! The food was great, the employees were awesome, and they literally helped me out with EVERYTHING! Any and all of my questions before the wedding were answered, I had a ceremony coordinator AND a reception coordinator so everything was in its place! We used the new chapel for our ceremony and it turned out to be beautiful! I could not have asked for a better wedding!

Crystal Gardens went above and beyond my expectations! The food was great, the employees were awesome, and they literally helped me out with EVERYTHING! Any and all of my questions before the wedding were answered, I had a ceremony coordinator AND a reception coordinator so everything was in its place! We used the new chapel for our ceremony and it turned out to be beautiful! I could not have asked for a better wedding!
