Crystal Mountain was an amazing venue! It was beautiful in early June and all of our guests had a wonderful time. The Art Park ceremony site is stunning and so private. The staff did a wonderful job supporting us and rolling with the punches, from planning through to the wedding weekend.

Crystal Mountain made our dream wedding happen and it could not have been better. They were so helpful and professional to work with and made everything go so smoothly. The food was amazing. Our guests have said the food was the best of any wedding they have been too. We got married on the mountain top for our ceremony and it was absolute perfection. Such a beautiful view. They are so helpful and organized so that everything runs so smoothly even when our outside vendors and wedding coordinators. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were to work with. The resort is also beautiful with so many different places to stay and it was absolutely wonderful to have so many of our family and friends in the same location for the whole weekend. If you’re thinking about getting married here, do it.

Crystal Mountain was the perfect choice for our wedding venue! Molly and Erin were so helpful in coordinating and planning our whole wedding weekend. The banquet staff was extremely organized and communicative. We had several guests who have food allergies and dietary restrictions and the staff was extremely accommodating. Would not change a single thing about our weekend!

Our wedding at Crystal Mountain in October of 2023 at the Petritz Pond and the Hudson Bay room was everything we had hoped for. From the initial planning stages with Molly, who was excellent at communicating with us regarding all our questions and concerns, to Erin who was amazing at making sure everything was perfect on the day of. The fall colors against the beautiful grounds of Crystal Mountain made for amazing wedding photos. The staff and the food at our reception were wonderful and we received so many compliments on everything. Our guests who stayed at the resort had nothing but good things to say about the staff, restaurants, golf courses, and spa. To have everything in one location was perfect and we would totally recommend Crystal Mountain for weddings and weekend getaways!

We had our wedding and reception in September of 2023 at the Petritz Pond and we cannot recommend Crystal Mountain enough! From the beginning, the team was incredible helpful! Molly answered so many questions during our planning process and Kaylyn was our point person for the day. The grounds were well manicured and the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos! The catering and bartender staff went above and beyond for us and our guests! We could not have imagined a better location for our wedding!

From beginning to end Crystal Mountain met every expectation for our wedding weekend. They made the process easy and as a bride I was truly able to enjoy the process rather than stress over the planning. Our wedding was in August and still are getting compliments from guests about it being the best wedding they had ever been too. Highly recommend Crystal Mountain.

I can't even begin to say how beautiful our wedding day was, and how well it came together. There were a couple bumps along the way, but that's to be expected when planning such a large event. The Crystal Mountain staff was amazing when it came to helping us through these bumps, and keeping up with communication on a timely manner. Only suggestion I would make to those looking into booking here is to make sure that they stay on top of their guest for booking their lodging if they want to stay on site. Their hotel books quickly, and they don't do hotel blocks for weddings. Once again we are so glad that we chose Crystal Mountain for our wedding, and the mountain top view is absolutely breathtaking for a ceremony location! Not many people get to ride a chair lift up to a wedding!

Crystal Mountain was fabulous!! Molly was so great at answering questions in a timely manner long before our wedding and Erin was in constant communication with us for the two weeks before the wedding. Everything went so smoothly and the entire wedding was phenomenal! We did have rain on our wedding day and Erin handled it like a pro. The pavilion, mountain, and entire resort was beautiful. The food was excellent as well as the service. We would HIGHLY recommend Crystal for a wedding venue!

I would recommend Crystal Moutain to everyone! We had our Wedding Ceremony in the Northern Lights room and then a private dinner with our bridal party at the Thistle Pub afterward! It was truly magical and so special. The team at Crystal Mountain for facilitating events is awesome! They are so helpful with questions, concerns, and are very prompt in their responses. They are very communicative about how to make the process of planning with them easy and seamless. They made my day from first contact all the way to \"I do\" just wonderful! I'm so grateful to Crystal Mountain for the best day of my life!

Our wedding was amazing! We got married at the top of the Crystal Clipper, overlooking the resort. The ski lift ride was fun for everyone, and the view was spectacular with beautiful fall colors. The tent where our reception was held was transformed into a masterpiece! Despite the rain, everyone had lots of fun. Having the majority of our guests stay at the resort made the weekend extra special. The variety of places to stay was great and made it easy for our guests to enjoy the festivities! All of the Crystal Mountain staff were so nice and helpful the entire weekend. The event staff were great to work with for planning the entire year leading up to our wedding. Beyond our own experience, all of our guests raved about the venue and the experience of being at Crystal Mountain.

Molly was such a helpful first contact when beginning our inquiry for our wedding reception. She helped answer questions in a timely manner and helped me create a mountaintop cocktail hour, which had not previously been done before. Stephanie and Kaylyn were also very helpful from providing us with a tasting and helping answer my incessant emails. The day was absolutely perfect (minus the wind), and the guests raved about the chairlift ride and delicious food served. Crystal Mountain holds a special place in both mine and my husband's hearts and I am so thankful we were able to celebrate our wedding there!

My husband and I got married on the mountain top and our guests can't stop telling us how cool the whole experience was. I would definitely recommend looking into Crystal Mountain if you are looking for a unique/ fun venue for all your guests to enjoy!

While planning our northern Michigan wedding from California during the pandemic, we knew we'd have to take a risk by booking a venue without visiting it. We're SO glad we picked Crystal! They were absolute pros from beginning to end - completely clear and responsive during the planning process, kind and accommodating to all our guests' needs as the date got closer, and absolutely lovely on the day of, from the chair lift operators to the dinner servers and everyone in between.Best of all, when we finally visited Crystal we were super impressed by the whole resort. Comfy accommodations that our family and guests loved, tons of fun activities, and a gorgeous backdrop for our wedding at the top of the mountain! In the end, it was a fabulous experience for a totally reasonable cost. If you're on the fence - do it!

My wife and I had the most perfect wedding at Crystal Mountain! Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful atop of the mountain. The views were immaculate. Our reception was easily the most fun we've ever had. The entire venue gave us our dream wedding. Lastly, a huge shoutout to Molly K., Kaylyn M., Stephanie G., and the rest of the Crystal Mountain staff. The inconsistent weather on our day gave everyone some stressful moments but the perseverance of this staff was fantastic and they provided us the wedding we've always wanted. Thank you to all!

I am so glad I had my wedding at Crystal Mountain, not only for the beautiful location (Northern Michigan is charming), but also because of the professionalism and diligence of the wedding team at the resort. Even before we signed a contract, the staff at Crystal Mountain were always available to answer any calls or emails with the thousands of questions I had about wedding planning. They never got fed up with me, but were always extremely kind and helpful. In addition, the resort communicated very well within their departments (food, coordinator, set-up) so that everything was exactly how I wanted it to be for the wedding day (this took a lot of stress off of me for the wedding day because I knew I could trust the wedding team to get everything done while I was getting married). Since I was planning the wedding by myself (no other family helped me), I appreciated the help of the Resort staff. Overall, the food was delicious, the event spaces were beautiful, and the people were friendly!

My husband and I got married at Crystal Mountain last month and it was perfect! The resort itself is beautiful and we were so happy to have our guests spend the weekend at such an enjoyable place. Working with Stephanie and Molly was great. They were very helpful and were always accommodating to our many requests. The wedding day itself went incredibly smooth and all of our guests complimented the food and service that was given. All of the staff were extremely friendly and made sure that our experience was perfect. The food is the best food I've ever had at a wedding and they have so many options. I would recommend Crystal Mountain to anyone looking for a beautiful northern Michigan wedding destination!

Crystal Mountain is one of the best venues for a Northern Michigan wedding! My husband and I had our wedding ceremony on top of the ski mountain at Crystal Mountain, and let me tell you that it makes for a truly unique and unforgettable experience; not only for you as the couple but also for your guests. You get to see for miles above the Benzie River Valley, and look over some gorgeous scenery while professing your love and commitment to one another. We were also so pleased with how our venue coordinators helped us coordinate everything (food and drink menu, reception layout, rehearsal dinner, welcome bags, etc.) before and during the event which allowed for my husband and I to just enjoy the day with little stress. I cannot recommend this venue enough and hopefully you decide to choose Crystal Mountain for your wedding as well!

Our wedding at Crystal mountain was PERFECT. They know how to manage weddings and worked with us on bringing our wedding dreams to life. We created a wedding weekend experience from a welcome reception on Friday, wedding on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday - all at the resort so we could walk everywhere! I had zero stress in knowing that they could handle everything and it was truly amazing!!

Crystal Mountain is a well oiled machine. The wait staff for our wedding were all incredibly nice to all of our guests. Each person on the resort was eager to help and were very welcoming. Our wedding was at the top of the mountain on 8/20/2021 and we will forever be grateful for the wonderful memories they helped us create. Stephanie Grey is from heaven. She made the planning process so easy. I was an out of state bride and so this made a huge difference to me. We did a filet dinner with shrimp and I can't tell you how many guest gushed over the quality of the food. We are foodies and we know that large events sometimes means quality or consistency can be compromised and I have to say they blew away our expectations.

My husband and I had originally planned a large wedding where we live in the Kalamazoo area for Feb 2021. We were forced to change our plans due to COVID-19 and the restrictions in the state on gatherings during this time. I reached out to Crystal Mountain to see what kind of options they could offer and Carmen one of the Sales/Event Managers was amazing with offering us multiple options to still have our wedding. We were married outside in the Rose Garden and we were able to rent a home on the property where we hosted our intimate reception(14 people) in the walkout basement. The banquet staff delivered everything we needed to the house and we made it beautiful. I honestly cannot say enough good things about our experience, the food was incredible and the service from the resort was even better. Stephanie and Carmen went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was special even with the current circumstances.

Crystal Mountain was so great to work with! I did a very small elopement very last minute(only a month of planning) and from day 1 they were so responsive and made me feel like my wedding was the most important event of the day. I would love to give a shout out to Carmen and Stephanie who are great to work with and made my day so amazing. The food was catered through them and everyone loved it. They brought it straight to us and picked everything up so seamlessly. I also needed extra things the day of and they were able to bring it no problem. A beautiful place and wonderful people to work with, I would highly recommend using them.

Though my fiancé and I did not have our wedding yet, we have only amazing things to say about Crystal Mountain! We got engaged here where the staff helped my fiancé plan the perfect proposal that surprised me like no other! He took me up the ski lift to see the fall colors and it was gorgeous (even with the rain). This was followed by dinner at Thistle Pub. And then a completely private and romantic couples spa package. We had the entire spa and lounge to ourselves where he proposed with a handmade scrap book of our 8 year relationship! Could not have asked for a better place to get engaged!

Due to the restrictions and executive orders in the state of Michigan we were unable to continue planning our wedding at Crystal Mountain. Although we are extremely sad we did not get to experience our day here Crystal Mountain was exceptional to work with. Stephanie, especially, was fantastic. She answered all of my hundreds of questions and went above and beyond to make any of my crazy ideas come to life. Carmen, also communicated with me when things were not looking like they were going to go as planned. She worked with us in this unfortunate event to make sure we were satisfied at the end of the day and of course wished us the best of luck. If you are thinking about booking this venue I highly recommend as you will not be disappointed. We will for sure be back to Crystal Mountain!

My fiance and I had never been to Crystal Mountain before, but when we took a tour there shortly after our engagement, we knew it was the perfect spot for our wedding. We had a mountain-top ceremony, and there couldn't be a more perfect view! We (and our guests) loved the beautiful ride on the chairlift. Everyone that we came in contact with at Crystal Mountain was so kind and helpful. Both sides of the bridal party stayed in the Mountain-side townhomes at Crystal Mountain. We all really enjoyed staying there. It was the perfect spot to relax with my bridesmaids and get our hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding. We also loved getting our nails done at the Crystal Spa. I would definitely recommend that too. Crystal Mountain is such a beautiful wedding venue. The food for our reception was delicious, and all of the staff members are extremely helpful. We will never forget our special day at Crystal Mountain! :)

Crystal mountain was the absolute perfect spot for us to have a wedding. From day one when we went to go visit them, they were always amazing to work with. The accommodations for guests were amazing, from the spa, the golf course, and the lodging. Our guests were raving over how it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Heather was our day of the wedding coordinator and Carmen was who we initially met with. They were both great at communicating with us and answered any questions that we had without any hesitation. Our wedding day is something we will remember for the rest of our lives and a lot of it had to do with the fact that we chose Crystal Mountain for the ceremony and the reception. We cannot thank you enough.

We chose Crystal Mountain because it had everything we were looking for: mountain top views for our ceremony, outdoor reception close by, and the option for lodging for our guests. Our wedding party booked two Mountainside townhomes, and Crystal Mountain made sure they were next door to each other. This made it so much easier to keep everyone on track with our schedule and no one had to go back and forth to get their personal items. Carmen was the first person we talked to at Crystal Mountain. She was so incredibly informative and responsive to our emails. When we checked out the venue, she was so friendly and easy to work with. She is a big reason why we chose Crystal Mountain because we knew it'd be easy to work out details with her. Our coordinators at Crystal Mountain were equally as helpful and made our entire day seamless and carefree. Special thanks to Stephanie for being so responsive and for putting up with our millions of questions! I highly suggest taking the ski lift up to the ceremony on the mountain top. Everyone kept telling us how unique, peaceful, and scenic the ride was! All of our guests are still talking about the beauty of our wedding. It was definitely a hit and we have no regrets at all about choosing Crystal Mountain for our wedding!! Highly recommend!

The perfect wedding! We had our reception on the Mountain Top Deck with the most gorgeous weather possible. Our guests loved riding the ski lift to the top. The food was amazing, I received many compliments on our appetizers. Stephanie Gray and Carmen Kott were very professional and super responsive with emails. Wish we could do it all over again! It was the perfect day. They kept ya very organzied as well, it was like having a wedding planner without having to pay for one.

We booked an immediate-family-only wedding of about 20 guests at Crystal Mountain, and my husband and I agree that it was the ideal setting for the blending of two families. We all stayed in close proximity, were able to mingle publicly (bonfire!) and privately (in our individual units) easily, and walking between our suites was a breeze. The grounds were so lush and absolutely GORGEOUS in early fall, which make our short trips & photos absolutely beautiful. We wanted to treat everyone, but not feel like our ceremony & dinner was overly fussy - the Michigan Legacy Art Park and dinner at the Thistle was a perfect, intimate vibe for our crew.

I cannot say enough good things about how incredible Crystal Mountain and their entire team is!!! From the food, to the event spaces, to the staff, every detail of our wedding was meticulously cared for. Carmen and Stephanie helped our planning go so smoothly, I never worried about any details! We had so many compliments on how wonderful the cabins and hotel rooms were for our guests! We stayed in the cabins at Crystal for almost an entire week, and the entire stay was a dream. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Bee Room at the Thistle Pub, and the food and staff were amazing! I want to give a special shout out to Joel and the bartender at the Thistle Pub, as they were PHENOMENAL in all ways for the entire wedding weekend! Our wedding ceremony was on the Mountain Top, and our ceremony was in the Northwest Territories ballroom. Our guests LOVED the chairlift up the mountain, it was so much fun! The views were absolutely breathtaking. They were also great at accommodating our guests who were unable to ride the chairlift. Our ceremony was absolutely gorgeous, and our reception was amazing! It was the best food I have ever had at a wedding, and they were phenomenal with accommodating our special requests. I am so happy that we chose to get married at Crystal Mountain, as they gave us a dream wedding weekend!

Crystal Mountain was everything we could ever hope for and so much for! We had several guests from out-of-town, out-of-state, and even out of the country! Everyone loved the scenic ceremony location and incredibly fun reception! Our guests continue to tell us what an amazing time they had and how much the venue blew them away! The food was amazing, the rooms/condos/cottages were UNREAL, and everywhere we went the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I can not recommend this venue enough. If you want a beautiful venue to capture all that Northern Michigan has to offer - look no further!

Crystal Mountain is as perfect as wedding venues get! Thanks due to Carmen Kott and Stephanie Gray, our seasoned planning experts, all of our wedding planning was a breeze. The sit down, plated food tasting was a very nice surprise and having the chef come out for questions was even better! If you need reservations, ask for Carissa Smith, she is a true expert and is understanding when it comes to questions. We compared Crystal Mountain to many other venues in the Traverse City area and if you are wanting friendly and detail oriented, don't even bother looking elsewhere besides this venue!

Crystal Mountain was a dream! We blindly chose Crystal Mountain while living out of state. After signing a contract We did a tour in the winter & it was hard to imagine what it would look like come summer. One word “WOW!” Not only is it gorgeous- they are so hospitable! Professional! I would give Crystal a million stars if I could! Every penny was worth it because we had the most perfect day. From the very beginning, Carmen was so helpful and accommodating with getting us booked in! She was wonderful. Then, Stephanie was a rockstar in planning our wedding! Everyone was so accommodating to special requests-and we had a lot! From a special dual plate, to adding in different wines to the packages, they were willing to do whatever it took to make our day special! Even the girl at guest services helped us book some last minute condos when our airbnb didn't have AC! All across the board, I would give Crystal all the praise! What a wonderful wedding weekend!! The staff at Crystal Mountain are excellent, the were 100% on board with everything that the bride and groom envisioned for their special day. We had planned an outdoor ceremony and prayed for a sunny day, but mother nature had other ideas and unleashed a huge rainstorm for most of the day. The staff quickly and efficiently reconfigured an indoor space to hold the ceremony. Thank you so very much for helping the bride and groom to have the wedding of their dreams.

Crustal Mountain was a perfect place for us to hold our wedding. We had the art park for our venue and it couldn’t have been more secluded seeming and feeling. Although it is just off the golf course, it really feels like you’re in the middle of the woods. They were so accommodating with our wine and beer choices and the food was absolutely amazing.

Carmen helped us find the best location for us from the rehearsal dinner, a welcome reception with a bonfire for all our family and friends as well as the ceremony and wedding reception. Samantha was a huge help through the planning process answering any questions we had and both Samantha, Emily and Sharon helped see everything through on the day of to make sure our day was perfect! Our guests loved being able to stay right on-site and the variety of rooming options was great for everyone to pick what was right for them. David and I would like to send our sincerest thank you and the Crystal Mountain team for making our dream wedding a reality. We cannot speak highly enough (but we will here!) about our CM experience from start to finish. From our first tour with Carmen, to our last goodbye with Tony, everything was flawless. Our event was not an easy event to execute. We had many unique requests and a multi-day event that added complexity - a rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, morning ceremony, afternoon BBQ, and evening reception. Yet with a smile and dedicated problem solving, Crystal Mountain delivered above and beyond what we could have imagined. They even brought us the good weather :) The thing that stood out most in our experience was the genuine pride each staff member took in their work. It is clear to us that there is a high standard of excellence across the entire Crystal Mountain team -- lodging, dining & catering, transportation, facilities, spa, etc. The positive culture CM has across your entire resort is palpable. The attention to detail and the care and concern for the quality of the experience shined through with every planning call, every email, and every moment of our big weekend. I would highly recommend having your wedding at Crystal Mountain.

The staff and the setting were wonderful as was the food and service. About the only issue we had was with the housing, primarily the difficulty of getting into rooms ahead of the ceremony. Check in is at 5pm and the ceremony was at 4pm followed by the reception. It made it difficult for our guests and especially people in the wedding party to check in without booking two nights stay. However the wedding coordinators were tremendous and the Art Park and NW Territories Ballroom were stunning.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Crystal Mountain and many of our guests stayed there. I can honestly say rehearsal night was just as fun and memorable as our wedding. The Crystal staff was amazing, we had great food and drinks, a beautiful backdrop to our event, and so much more. We hosted dinner with immediate family and wedding party, followed by a cocktail party/bonfire open to all our guests complete with s’mores. I would highly recommend Crystal Mountain for your wedding venue! My husband and I recently got married there and it was a perfect \"destination\" (2 hours away) wedding. Our guests loved being able to ride the chairlift up the mountain to our beautiful ceremony. Our reception area had large windows facing the mountain. The wedding planning process went smoothly with Carmen Kott and Samantha Roelofs. Both were readily available and quick to answer any questions I came across throughout the wedding planning process. The resort itself is beautiful as well. There are many activities for children and adults to do. Guests enjoyed going to the spa, playing at the water park, and going down the alpine slide.

Everything was fantastic for our wedding this October at Crystal Mountain. Stephanie and Carmen were always readily available during the planning process. It was such a relief to have someone with experience. During the day of the wedding Carmen and Stephanie were extremely helpful and resourceful. Our wedding went extremely smooth without a single hiccup. Friends and family are still saying how convenient and fun the wedding was. The food was fantastic and the convenience of everything was wonderful. If we were to do it over, we would not change a single thing. We both had more fun than what we expected and were able to enjoy the day with our closest friends and family.

We had to forgo the Mountain top ceremony because of weather, it made no difference because the indoor space was top notch. It was also in the same building as the reception, Northwest Territories. All the way through to the service people we and our guests encountered at Crystal Mountain friendly, helpful and accommodating.I highly recommend using CM for your wedding.

Our wedding and reception were amazing!! We have gotten so many compliments from our guests. The ceremony was at the top of the mountain and our guests loved taking the chairlifts to the top of the mountain. Though the ceremony was HOT (it was 93 degrees in September!!!) it was beautiful and so us. The food was delicious (we had our reception and rehearsal dinner at the resort). Carmen and Stephanie were both extremely responsive and helpful throughout our experience. Every staff member that we met was so incredibly nice!The only issue we ran into was guests that were not able to stay for two nights having trouble finding lodging at the resort (2 night minimum for most rooms, there were a select number available for one-night stays), however Crystal Mountain was up front about this from the beginning and we were able to direct guests to other local lodging that could accommodate one night stays. I would absolutely recommend Crystal Mountain for your wedding!

I am extremely happy that we chose Crystal Mountain for our wedding ceremony and reception. We could not have asked for a more spectacular weekend. The ceremony was held at the Mountain Top Deck and the views were breathtaking. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience of riding the chairlift to the ceremony site. The reception was held in the Northwest Territories at the Crystal Center which allowed our guests to move freely from inside the ballroom to outside on the terrace. In addition, we had a welcome party & campfire and golf outing. All of the staff were very professional and accommodating from the banquet captains to the bartenders to the servers to the recreation department. Working with Carmen, Stephanie and especially Taylor was a dream. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and were very responsive to our needs and our guests. Crystal Mountain made our wedding an absolute fairy tale and we are so grateful to them and their team! We had our destination wedding at Crystal Mountain in August and it's still all our family and friends can talk about. Stephanie, Carmen, and the rest of the team there is truly the best in the business. My husband and I searched high and low for a venue that would work for us, and I knew Crystal Mountain was it from my first phone call with Carmen. Carmen and Stephanie were both incredibly generous with their time and super responsive. Our guests came from all over the country, 95% were out of state, and we have heard over and over from our family and friends that they plan to go back to Crystal Mountain. The facilities are gorgeous and state of the art. There is something to do for everyone, and the restaurants are terrific. We had a full 4 day wedding weekend there with multiple events (welcome drinks, a golf outing, the wedding and reception, and a farewell brunch) and they knocked it out of the park at every turn. The ceremony site at the Mountain Top was breathtaking - guests LOVED the chairlift and the views - and I can't imagine marrying my husband anywhere else. The reception site at the Pavilion Tent was beautiful and everything went off without a hitch. THANK YOU Crystal Mountain!

I could not have more positive things to say about having our August 2017 wedding at Crystal Mountain! As soon as I first visited the resort over a year ago, I knew it was where we would get married. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and have the picturesque Northern Michigan vibe we were looking for, without being a rustic/country barn. We wanted to have our whole wedding outside - which is completely possible at Crystal Mountain, but they also have the added security of back up indoor spaces, just in case mother nature doesn't cooperate. We were first greeted by Carmen, who was able to answer all our questions and give us a tour of all the possible ceremony and reception sites. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a fabulous job following up with me via email after our initial visit. Once we booked, we started working with Stephanie, who is the on-site coordinator - and let me tell you, she is just absolutely Wonderful! I adored working with her. She was always quick to respond to my MANY questions and emails, and helped answer all my questions and calm my nerves along the way. She was able to give her own input and recommendations as well, and never missed a beat helping us plan our dream day.When it came to the big weekend - everyone was very friendly, and made us feel their main goal was to ensure we had the best time and everything went exactly as planned. Even when our own group was running behind for our rehearsal, Stephanie made sure that I wasn't stressed about it, and that it was our day and our weekend, and that everything would run perfectly fine. We had all of our events on property - ceremony rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party, and even brunch the next day. It was a lot of events to plan and keep track of, and Stephanie and the Crystal Mountain staff were on the ball the entire time, and really took a lot of stress off my shoulders. In particular, they allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner at the Thistle Bar & Grill w/ a menu style dinner - which is what we had envisioned and wanted - but had never been done before at Crystal! They really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our whole weekend! And when it came to our guests, we had compliments POURING in! They loved the resort, the accommodations, the activities, the FOOD!, everything! Everyone had a great time and were raving about how gorgeous the venue was and what a great place it was to get married. A lot of our guests were able to ride the chairlift during our reception too, which was an added surprise for them that they loved! The ONLY downfall I can even think to mention, is an outdoor reception has a curfew of 11pm. I could've danced ALL night and wished we could've gotten just a couple more hours outside. But we were able to hold an after party, so everyone just moved inside and upstairs and kept the party going! This is where we were able to put our late night snacks as well - which, again, people raved about! So really - the 11pm curfew is a bummer, but there are ways around it! :)Like I said, we honestly couldn't have more good things to say about Crystal Mountain, Stephanie, Carmen, and the entire staff. They were absolutely wonderful and I can't imagine holding our wedding anywhere else. It really was the best weekend ever! We already can't wait to come back and visit where we became Mr and Mrs! (just another unspoken added bonus)

My husband and I spent over a year working with Crystal Mountain to perfect what we invisioned to be our special day. The team at Crystal Mountain was exceptional and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful group to create our day. Not only was the staff great but the food blew our mind! We are still receiving reviews from our guests about that pineapple salmon. Everyone always tells the bride and groom to make sure they eat. Well our plates we polished clean by the time we finished. Our wedding party speeches were a bit lengthy and it pushed our meal service back but you would have never guessed because it was that good. The service was quick and accurate and the waiting staff was so sweet. The bar staff was just ask great! They were quick mixing together our favorite cocktails and they did it with a smile! They were amazing! My husband and I were also very impressed with the Crystal Mountain chair lift rides. It was the perfect touch for our guests to take a step back and truly appreciate the beauty of Northern Michigan. The staff working the lift was very helpful when I went to sit. If you can imagine sitting on a chair lift in a dress it can be a little intimidating but it worked out perfectly with their assistance. We can't say enough about the staff. Towards the end of the evening they sis such an amazing job cleaning up. I never looked around and thought man it's a mess. They were so on top of picking things up and clearing tables. We were very impressed. My husband and I also had the opportunity to stay at Crystal Mountain for our wedding night. The room was beautiful and very clean. We were welcomed with a sweet card and bottle of champagne from the staff that melted our hearts. Overall, we loved our experience with Crystal Mountain. The majority of our wedding was planned with us being hundreds of miles away in midwestern Illinois but the staff at Crystal Mountain made us feel like we were right there in Thompsonville, MI. We are extremely blessed to have had the experience we did. We wouldn't have changed a thing about it!!

Prior to that, we met several times with two people, initially with Carmen Kott, the person responsible for rental of the properties used, and then turned over to Stephanie Gray, the person who helped us with the wedding plans. Crystal Mountain was the best place for our wedding. From the very start they answered all of our questions and helped out in so many ways to make our wedding what we had dreamed. I loved the fact we were able to taste the food before the wedding, it really helped us picking out the meal. The wedding planner on site was also a big help. She was with us through all of the planning and when we had questions or last minute things that came up she was able to help and put my nerves to rest. Crystal Mountain had it all for us. In the end all we had to do was show up and have a good time.

First of all, the resort is gorgeous!!! What is better than a quiet location with fun activities here and there?! I wish we could have spent a week at Crystal before our wedding, we just didn't have the time. The prices are a little higher than a typical venue, but it is really nice to not worry about providing silverware, glasses, China, linens or anything like that. It's all pretty much inclusive and that was a huge weight lifted. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our wedding and reception very much. We were married at the Michigan Legacy Art Park and our reception was held at the Hudson Bay room and the settings for both....gorgeous. We really cannot recommend it more. They bent over backwards for us and we're so nice. Thank you, Crystal Mountain for making our wedding so memorable!

My wedding at Crystal Mountain was amazing and did not have any major issue the day of. Food was amazing and the staff the day of was very helpful. The only issue we did have was an outlet in the back of the lodge cut one of my guests and ripped a fairly large hole in my dress. However, the planning of my wedding with Crystal Moutain was very difficult. I ended up with four differnt corridators. The first three kept misplacing requests made via phone. I would recommend doing everythign you can via email so you have a record of it for later with Crystal Moutain. I would not listen to the staff when they say the lodge can fit 130 easy for wedding. It can fit 130 but it will have your guest out of view with the head table which i was not a fan of when i saw the floor plans. It ended up working out becuase only 80 peoole came to my wedding. If the full 130 we had planned for came we would have had issue with the room we booked.

We had a wonderful experience at Crystal Mountain. The staff was friendly and helpful. The planning process was easy and pretty carefree. I'm glad my bridesmaids could do my hair, otherwise that could have been a problem because they do not do hair at their spa. The shuttle service was timely and pleasant. I reccomend getting your nails done before if you want gel. The nail tech was awesome and the spa staff was great. The actual gel polish was not great - it chipped the day after I got them done, and I don't think it was from application error. I watched her do a great job, the gel was just thin and not great quality. I had my makeup done for my rehearsal dinner and wedding, and I loved it! The mountain top ceremony site was beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. I would not have changed a thing.

My husband and I chose Crystal Mountain for the beautiful scenery- but we got so much more! The staff at Crystal Mountain was very accommodating and genuinely cared about our wedding. We had an event coordinator through Crystal Mountain, Anna, who helped us organize the whole wedding. She kept track of all the little details and kept the planning running smoothly. She was always very responsive to e-mails- and we appreciated all the additional help she offered like helping with our flowers and keeping me calm on the wedding day! Crystal Mountain had everything all in one place- ceremony, reception and lodging. This was very convenient for our guests. Also, it is important to note that you could not go wrong staying at any location on property. Everyone was raving about EVERYTHING.One thing I was initially concerned with was having to use Crystal Mountain to cater our event. However, they had a very extensive menu, and were even willing to work with us to find the perfect menu options for our wedding.. We are so glad we chose Crystal Mountain! Can't wait to come back for skiing in the winter!

My with husband and I had our wedding at Crystal Mountain on 08/20/2016. I CANNOT say enough wonderful things about this resort. My husband was diagnosed in February of this year with cancer and we had absolutely no time to worry about a wedding. The wedding coordinators at Crystal Mountain went over and above to help us plan between treatments and when our day arrived they even went farther to make our day the best memory of our life! Carmen Howard and Stephanie Honeycutt were utterly amazing. I have actually sent our full story over to The Knot magazine hoping someone will read the whole review.

I have been employed at Crystal Mountain for nine years but had never experienced our services from a guests perspective until this past weekend. My nephew and his new bride were married here in the Michigan Legacy Art Park and it was extraordinary! The venue was perfect! Every part of the wedding and reception were so well executed! The food, the decorations, the staff!My entire family was very impressed and we couldn't thank Crystal Mountain enough for a perfect day!

Crystal Mountain Resort was a gorgeous venue! The grounds were absolutely breathtaking! There were flowers blooming everywhere! The Thistle Pub was the perfect rehearsal spot! The food and service was wonderful! The Turkey/Bacon Panini was SO delicious! We got married on the Mountain Top Deck. Our guests loved riding the chairlift up to our ceremony and so did we! The MountainView Lodge was the perfect reception space for us! It was the perfect size and location. The food and wait staff service at Crystal Mountain was incredible! Everyone LOVED the Reuben Eggrolls!! We went through several coordinators during our planning process which was not really a big deal because they were all great with emailing back and forth. We only had two small issues: 1) There was a tent partially blocking our mountain view (due to a flood in a different restaurant) and 2) Staff was setting up for a concert immediately after our ceremony. The staff was setting up a bar and seating while we were doing pictures. Other resort guests were using our reception hallway and bathroom (making it a little awkward). We were informed about the tent before we arrived, but we were never informed about the concert. Overall, Crystal Mountain was a great venue! We highly recommend it! Make sure you have time for a massage at the Crystal Spa! It is absolutely amazing!

Overall, we had a fairytale wedding at Crystal Mountain. Everything was set up to look amazing and we had the best weekend. Throughout the whole weekend, the staff was very knowledgeable, kind, and caring towards my husband and I, we felt very loved! The venue itself is beautiful and our guests loved riding the chairlift as an additional gift from Crystal Mountain. We had our ceremony at the Art Park, which was exactly the fairytale setting we were looking for. Our reception was at the MountainView Lodge Tent and fit our guests perfectly. We did run into a few situations along the way with Crystal Mountain. Many of our guests began booking rooms/condos in advance, including my Dad. However, when the wedding weekend came he was not given the condo that he initially booked to sleep 15. Instead our family had to be split up among two houses which was very disappointing and not the way we wanted it, so unfortunately make sure you call them many times to check and make sure your reservations are correct if you booked them over the phone. There was also a situation with our rehearsal time. We weren't told that there was an event taking place in the Art Park on that day, but instead were told we could have our rehearsal at 5:00, so that is what we told our guests months in advance so they could book flights and lodging options. About 2 weeks before the wedding, we were told we needed to move our rehearsal time up to 4:00, which meant our guests would not have any time to get ready once they checked in their rooms. We hoped for early check-ins, but many of them were not able to get in their rooms early or had problems with their rooms keys. It all ended up working out fine, but many of our guests were frustrated with rushing around Friday evening.Crystal Mountain comes with a coordinator, which I thought would be great because we were planning our wedding from where we live in Texas. We booked Crystal Mountain a year in advance and throughout the year we were juggled between 3 different coordinators. There seems to be a high turn-over rate, which is typical with the industry, but a little stressful for a bride. We hired Chelsea Chapin, separate from Crystal Mountain, as our day-of planner and she was AMAZING and helped with the communication between Crystal Mountain. David Sparks ended up being our coordinator for Crystal and he did a great job and was super friendly, so we're very happy with who we ended up working with! Carmen Howard also did a wonderful job helping to coordinate makeup appointments for 12 of my bridal party girls. Our guests loved the appetizers (coconut shrimp and stuffed mushrooms) and we had semi-good to good reviews for the chicken and beef plated entrees that were served. There was a slight problem with food during our reception -- a few of our guests were not served with the rest of the wedding due to a delay in the kitchen. Our guests loved the bartenders throughout the weekend and Crystal Mountain has a great selection for alcohol choices. David even got us our favorite beer that was not on the list :).

We had our wedding here on June 11th, 2016. We had the ceremony and reception outside as well as the rehearsal dinner. We worked with David the past two months before our wedding because the other wedding coordinator left. David went above and beyond for us. We made requests that Crystal had done previosuly and he made sure everything went without a hitch. The ceremony and reception were both beautiful. Our friends and family traveled from across the US and everyone loved Crystal. It was the perfect location for our wedding :) We couldn't have been happier.

We just had our wedding there on May 14, 2016 and had an amazing experience at Crystal Mountain. It rained and snowed on our day and the staff was amazing at moving the event indoors and making sure everything went smoothly. The food tasted amazing! I'm a picky eater and they catered to all the food changes I requested. David Sparks is awesome and was the best coordinator! Carmen was also super helpful right from my first phone call to my 100th!

My daughter's Crystal Mountain wedding and reception was a \"Fairytale\" come true! From the moment we arrived for spa treatments to the very last dance at the reception our every need was met by the Crystal Mt. staff. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Most of our guests were out of town so it was a perfect destination wedding spot. The pond lawn was a perfect spot for her outdoor wedding. Crystal Mt. allowed us to bring in wine barrels to decorate to go along with her wine theme wedding. The wedding coordinator David took extra special care of our elderly guests who needed assistance. Our banquet captain Stephanie made sure everything was perfect at the reception. I did not have to worry about anything and could sit back and enjoy! A big thank you to everyone at Crystal Mountain for a wonderful wedding and beautiful memories!

Throughout the process of planning a wedding here, we had great moments and not-so-great moments. There were times that our wedding coordinator was very responsive to my questions/requests, flexible, and went above-and-beyond expectations; however, there were moments during this process that weren't as smooth. I had times when the wedding coordinator sent delayed responses, gave us wrong information, and wasn't very helpful. In particular, for our rehearsal, we had trusted her to advise on how the logistics of the event would go - where we enter, when would the next bridesmaid/groomsman walk down, how we transition to the cocktail hour, etc. Throughout most of the rehearsal, she wasn't much help and I felt the need to take charge without know what to do. Eventually, after asking question after question, she took lead and made several suggestions without further prompting. Overall, the rehearsal felt disorganized and confusing for all. As for our wedding day, they had forgotten to put the table numbers out on the tables, so nobody knew where they were seating! Luckily, that was the only hitch and it was resolved quickly by our best man.\r\rTHE REMAING STAFF MEMBERS WERE EXCELLENT!\r\rThe staff that was in charge of the reception area were very helpful. When we were decorating the night before, they had dimmed the lights for us to \"get the full effect.\"\r\rThe staff at the spa were very friendly!\r\rThe hotel staff had taken the liberty to personally deliver our guest bags to anybody who had checked in before we were able to drop off the guest bags to the front desk. \r\rThe employees in charge of transitioning our chairs from ceremony to reception did a great job and reused our decorations throughout the ceremony area.

We had the best experience working with Crystal Mountain! The entire staff worked hard to make my daughter's wedding \"the best day ever\". Julie Kearns is a fantastic coordinator and went above and beyond to assist us in planning a destination wedding.She helped us to coordinate interesting events for our guests. We loved the welcome bonfire and the rehearsal dinner was amazing!! The food and presentation for the reception were also awesome. We were proud to have our guests attend the wedding and it went off without a hitch. Amanda and Bridgette were also extremely helpful in helping us book the wedding and with our guests lodging. All in all it was \"The best day ever\"!

Crystal Mountain made my dreams come true! I seriously could not have asked for anything more. The service and value they provided from my very first call to Amanda all the way through when we checked out of our room 2 days after our wedding was nothing short of spectacular. Megan is an amazing planner and our wedding would not have been the same without her help and guidance. The food was SO good and there was plenty to go around! Crystal did our desserts as well, which were delicious! Chef Brian and his staff gave us exactly what we were envisioning including dishes that weren't on the menu as well as vegetarian and vegan options for our guests. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding with the best food they had ever been to. The biggest decision I had to make the entire weekend was to move our ceremony location due to weather. All I had to do for the rest was SHOW UP! Thank you to the entire team at Crystal!
