John and his team at Crystal Peak are absolutely amazing! They were the first venue we looked at on our wedding planning journey and we booked them right away! We knew we wouldn’t find another place that has everything they offer, extremely reasonable prices and did I mention it’s absolutely beautiful there! The whole property, venue, the outside grounds, plenty of parking, it was absolutely beautiful and perfect! It has been a pleasure working with John. He’s very attentive and quick with responses. They have an unbeatable menu and so many options to pick from (we are foodie people!) We absolutely loved that they had a large selection of hors d’oeuvres that would be passed out. We had our food tasting back in February and the food was to die for! Everything we tried was so good. Two days before our wedding we had our final meeting, our rehearsal and our rehearsal dinner there. We brought all our decorations and discussed with John how we wanted everything set up. They literally decorate everything for you and undecorate and box everything up for you when your wedding is over! The other places we were going to look at didn’t offer that so that was a HUGE plus! No one wants that added stress. All we literally had to do was show up and enjoy our special day. John was very helpful and involved in the rehearsal. He worked very well with our officiate (Karen Mowad – Love her!!) that day. The rehearsal dinner was amazing and his staff was so kind and on point. He runs a very well managed and organized place. Our wedding day was our perfect fairytale! John and his staff were great with checking in with me to make sure everything was running smoothly and we had everything we needed. I truly appreciate how easy they made everything for us and we felt really taken care of and they made sure we had the best day of our lives! They helped carry the train on my dress, directed us in our important timeline, they made our wedding day calm, relaxing and a breeze! This place is a gem and literally has it all! Book your wedding or any special event there, you won’t be disappointed!! The venue, staff, service, incredible food, drinks, everything is amazing!! We will definitely recommend them to everyone we know and of course we hope to be back one day for any special event we have in our family. John went above and beyond to make us feel special and throw us the wedding of our dreams! And, Crystal Peak is an absolutely gorgeous venue - you can throw a premium, deluxe and luxury wedding celebration for less than the price of some of the lowest tier wedding packages in the center of the state. This is a small, family-owned business where you will be the only event on the property (if it’s a larger event). The garden grove is stunning - even though it rained on our wedding day, John was so positive about it and made sure that our wedding was beautiful and perfect inside his lovely building. The cocktails were amazing, appetizers are top notch, and food was so good - if you like penne a la vodka, you have to get it - it’s top notch. The property is immaculately cleaned and groomed and also inviting and warm. The dancing space is fun, the service is stunning. The staff and John will make you feel like you are family! Even though we were half an hour late to our hour long planning meeting before the rehearsal dinner, John did not make us feel stressed and we got right back on schedule. We had our rehearsal dinner here, too, and stayed a bit late and we’re not rushed out of there. John really guided us through the whole wedding process. Go with this venue. It’s perfect and beautiful and lovely and out in a splendid setting - with great service and food to match. You will not need a day of coordinator or wedding planner because you have John!

So this may seem a bit weird but I didn’t feel right not giving John a review. Although I didn’t move forward to picking Crystal Peak as my wedding venue, the only reason why I didn’t was because of location, it was a bit a drive for my close family members who live closer to the coastline of CT, if it wasn’t for that, I probably would have picked this venue. Now as to why… John is super professional and transparent. The venue itself is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. The ceremony area is GORGEOUS, mind you, I saw the venue in the middle of November, so for it to still look beautiful in November says a lot. Now the inside… WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE! The ceiling is absolutely beautiful. This venue is simple BUT super elegant. The upstairs bridal area is very spacious and well kept. The entree choices that John gives is out of this world, not like any other venue I’ve been to. And his pricing is super affordable. John was super honest, transparent and even gave me helpful tips moving forward to another venues about questions I didn’t even think to ask. Like I said, if it weren’t for being a certain distance from my family, this venue would have been picked. Thank you John, it was a pleasure meeting you and hopefully I can refer another wedding couple to you for the years to come!

We just had our wedding at Crystal Peak, and aside from just being a beautiful venue to have it at, the entire process was made easier by John and his amazing team. From tours, tastings, random questions that came up, decoration ideas, the rehearsal, and execution of the wedding day- John was extremely helpful and the staff was nothing short of attentive and wonderful. They have everything handled to make your wedding day smooth and stress-free. And the food is incredible- we had so many people tell us they enjoyed everything from the huge selection of apps to the dinner buffet options. John really knows what he is doing.

The appetizers were what sold us on the place in the end and they did not disappoint the food there is absolutely incredible.Dawn and the whole coordination staff work so hard to make sure the whole day feels as effortless as possible for you. The pricing was very good, and they are transparent, you can see the whole wedding packages, prices, and food online on their website in a pdf (which was something I found so helpful in the planning process so I had a idea of what the spending would be without having to call a million venues)I would definitely recommend for any event

John and the Crystal Peak team were amazing. The buffet was not only delicious, but John personalized multiple meals for our friends and families who had specific food allergies (even a garlic allergy!). All of our guests raved about how good the food was, it really can't be understated. He allowed us to specially request and substitute a few of our hors d'oeuvres that were not on his menu at no extra cost, and boxed up and sent us home with uneaten meals from our guests who were unable to attend last minute (covid). The wedding ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful, there were multiple places to take photos on site, and we loved how the dance floor was offset from the dining room to create more intimate spaces. John and his team were very polite, got us anything we needed before and during the event, and even helped us set up and break down our DIY stuff before and after the event. John was very responsive to all of our emails and allowed us to visit Crystal Peak multiple times to measure for our DIY decorations and show our parents who were visiting from out of state. It was nice to have a place on site to put dresses on and finalize before the event. We were nervous due to the prices being so low, compared to other venues in CT and the surrounding area, but there was nothing to be worried about. John and his team were excellent and the price was hard to beat.Our only complaint was the documentation and contracts could have been better organized in an online portal for better organization and communication. While John and his team were always responsive over email, sometimes things got jumbled because it was difficult to find answers to my questions by digging through previous emails.All-in-all our wedding was amazing, the food was excellent, the staff was awesome, everyone had a great time and we couldn't be more thankful for John and the Crystal Peak team.

If you want a beautiful venue, delicious food and exceptional service then Crystal Peak is the venue you want! We immediately loved the space and after meeting with John knew it was our spot. His professionalism, experience and kindness made planning our special day even through a pandemic so easy. We didn't have to worry about a thing on our day and the team kept everything organized and on schedule. The venue was nicely landscaped and our outdoor ceremony wonderful. The cocktail hour/reception area was expertly clean and finely decorated. Our food was raved about by all our guests from the incredible assortment of appetizers to our refined buffet of options. A groomsmen had to unbutton his shirt! The team even helped us break down and organize our decorations at the end of the night. So much thought and care went into every detail to make our day perfect, all while the team went above and beyond and were delightful to work with. We truly could not recommend Crystal Peak more!

John and his team are amazing! Our wedding day was about as perfect as it could be. The venue was beautiful, the food simply amazing. and the coordination was spot on. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed at any point and the staff was extremely attentive all night long. I do not think it could have gone any smoother, they helped us at every step of the way, even in ways I didn't realize I needed until it was already taken care of. We are extremely grateful for everything they did and would highly recommend them!!!

John was our venue coordinator and caterer for our wedding at the litchfield inn. We really weren't sure if we should hold a wedding at all due to Covid, and i had a lot of anxiety about it, but John was always available anytime i contacted him to ease my concerns with a calm and professional manner. He was very patient with us and offered suggestions on how we can still have our wedding but safely. I am so so SO happy i listened to him. He accommodated to all the state and federal regulations but added beautiful, tasteful touches to our reception that took my breath away. We had a beautiful outdoor reception that looked and felt straight out of a fairytale country setting you see in magazines. My guests were very impressed with the level of detail and effort John put in to go the extra mile and make the event literally perfect. We had no issues at all m, and the everything flowed smoothly. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and I don't even know where to start with the food!! Pages and pages of options to choose from! The most difficult part about planning the reception was choosing the menu options at the taste testing because they were all incredible and so delicious. I highly recommend John and Crystal Peak. He will go above and beyond for you at a very affordable and reasonable price. He is now our 1st choice for any future events!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and I don't even know where to start with the food!! Pages and pages of options to choose from! The most difficult part about planning the reception was choosing the menu options at the taste testing because they were all incredible and so delicious. I highly recommend John and Crystal Peak. He will go above and beyond for you at a very affordable and reasonable price. He is now our 1st choice for any future events!

We had our wedding at Crystal Peak and we cannot say enough great things about our experience. The venue, the owner (John), and the staff completely exceeded our expectations. Crystal Peak was breathtakingly beautiful both inside and out. The outdoors was great for photos and for our ceremony, and the inside was perfectly decorated for our reception. The cocktail hour, open bar, and food were all delicious (especially the mac and cheese, a guest favorite). The taste testing event to decide what food to have served on our big day was also a great time. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about the food, venue, staff, and owner. Many said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! John and his team went above and beyond to make sure our big day was the way we wanted it to be. They made sure our gifts, extra food and decorations were packed and ready to go at the end of the night, helped direct guests when needed, and worked with our other vendors (DJ, photographers, photo-mirror, and justice of the peace). John was patient, personable, easy to get ahold of, and prompt with responses. He made sure our planning process and wedding day were smooth. He had plenty of helpful suggestions that made planning our big day less stressful. The staff were so helpful and attentive; they even offered to bustle my dress. Crystal Peak even gave us a discount for my husband serving in the military as a way to say thank you! We are completely satisfied with our decision to have our once in a lifetime day at Crystal Peak, and we would highly recommend it to anyone else looking to do the same.

The value you get is unbelievable, but believe it: His food is excellent and the venue is beautiful. He even has a tent already set up for those who want to get married outside, a garden patio, and a beautiful ballroom with tables set, hurricane lanterns, staff, open bar, all included. My experience with Crystal Peak began 7 years ago when my sister had her wedding there. This was the first wedding I had been a part of and I was thoroughly impressed with them with every aspect of planning my sister's wedding. The event was phenomenal and we heard many people tell us that it was \"the best wedding they had ever been to!\" A few years later, when we wanted to plan a surprise party for my sister, we went with CP because we knew John would throw another great event for us, and he did just that. When I got engaged and began thinking about picking a place to get married, I had no doubt in my mind that I wanted to go with John and Crystal Peak, and I am so happy we did. John is one of the absolute best people you can find in this business. He oversees every aspect of every event and settles for nothing but perfection. A huge selling point for us was his absolutely wonderful food and we were so happy with the choices we made! Our wedding day and night were absolutely perfect! We had been planning all along to have the ceremony outside. It was pouring rain in the afternoon and John was the one texting me telling me he would still do everything he possibly could to get our ceremony outside, and he did! We made it just in time, and John and his staff made sure we were ready for whatever came our way. John worked side by side with us to make sure our wedding was everything we thought it would be. He seems to always be available to answer questions- and his timeliness in responding to email and phone calls in incredible! The beautiful flowers, koy pond, bridge, and waterfall made a perfect setting for our ceremony and the photographs that followed. The food at the reception was exceptional and all of our quests raved about how amazing it was. The service was on point. For example after we walked down the aisle and the ceremony ended, the second we exited to take our photographs a staff member made it a point to ask us what we wanted to drink and also what hors d'oeuvres we would like. John is amazing at his job and he made the entire process very special from the initial meeting to the tasting, to the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding. John was thorough and accommodating to all of our needs. All in all the experience went well beyond any expectation we could have had. Of note we have high expectations!

We chose Crystal Peak to cater our outdoor wedding event in May 2013 at my parent's berry farm. John was very thorough in reviewing the menu options and passionate about his food, which is why we chose him over other vendors in the area. Throughout the process he was very timely about responding to our inquiries and receptive to our ideas. He was flexible about incorporating berries from our farm into the menu and came on site several months and several days prior to the wedding to ensure a smooth flowing reception. He worked very well with Taylor rental and us to be certain all necessary items were rented, down to every fork and spoon, and was willing to set up the tables in the tent and work around our venue amenities. We had some confusion towards the end with which wines and beers were included in an off-site event which lead to frustration with both parties in the days leading up to the wedding. Fortunately, the day was magnificent, the food and service was outstanding, and John and his team could not have been a better job. If you decide to choose this vendor, be sure alcohol options are clearly delineated in the contract, not simply \"open bar for 4.5 hours\

When we first met with Crystal Peak, we were very impressed with their service and what they had to offer. They definitely provide a great value for the cost, no doubt about it. Their property is gorgeous when everything is in bloom. Their food is out of this world phenomenal and came highly recommended. It definitely did not disappoint. Their facility is nicely maintained and they have a good size dance floor that was packed our whole time. The day of my wedding I was a little disappointed that the staff went into the bridal dressing area and threw away the bags for my bridesmaids dresses. It was a rainy day and they ended up changing before leaving and having to carry their dresses out unprotected in the rain. Also, I called to follow up on an item after returning from my honeymoon and was met with a lot of attitude and resistance, which left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. It seemed liked once they got my money, they could care less. Overall, I think the value was great and the location was perfect for us, so in the end it all worked out and we had a great day.

Adam and I were married on June 18, 2011 at Hopkins Vineyard in Warren, CT. Crystal Peak from Winchester, CT did our Catering. We had interviewed several caterers but none of them made us feel as comfortable as John from Crystal Peak did. Because it was an outside wedding and everything had to be rented we were a little nervous that something would go wrong. But from the first day John and his wife Jennifer were absolutely wonderful. They were in touch with Taylor Rental (who were amazing also) and ordered everything we needed. On the day of our wedding everything was executed perfectly. I can’t begin to explain how many of our guests complimented on how delicious the food was. John, Jennifer, and their staff, are truly professionals.

Our wedding day was carried out beautifully. We had a few minor issues prior but when it came down to it everything was set just the way we had hoped, food was amazing, and an overall great service.

I had an amasing day! Crystal Peak made our wedding day so special, the staff was amasing, the food was amasing. I couldn't of asked for anything else. I highly recommend them.

I had an evening outdoor ceremony at Crystal Peak on 10/02/10. The ceremony lawn is beautiful, the staff are very helpful from beginning to end, the reception room looked great, and the food was fabulous! I had lots of compliments from many guests on each of these aspects of my wedding. Everyone was impressed with this venue all around! The prices are very reasonable for what you get, best I found in the state for this quality.

I had an evening outdoor ceremony at Crystal Peak on 10/02/10. The ceremony lawn is beautiful, the staff are very helpful from beginning to end, the reception room looked great, and the food was fabulous! I had lots of compliments from many guests on each of these aspects of my wedding. Everyone was impressed with this venue all around! The prices are very reasonable for what you get, best I found in the state for this quality.

My husband and I held our reception at Crystal Peak on June 5, 2010 and it was one of the best choices we could have made! My husband's sister used Crystal Peak the year prior for her reception as well. That is actually how we found out about this place.\r\rThe location is beautiful - tucked away in the mountain side with beautiful views and a fantastic outdoor mingling area complete with wooden bridge and fountain. (Perfect for outdoor pictures with your hubby!) The site is also very easy to get to.\r\rThe food was seriously, seriously fantastic. They offer tons of menu options based on your price point. The passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour were my favorite part. The wait staff is instructed to deliver these tasty goodies to the upstairs area where the bridal party is before the formal introduction. I *definitely* got a chance to eat at my wedding!\r\rJohn and Jennifer are extremely professional and easy to work with. Our wedding was almost completely DIY (everything down to the cupcakes!) and Jennifer was so flexible and organized. During the actual ceremony, she was actually out on the floor, checking everything out, checking in with my husband and me, making sure we were comfortable, fed and having a great time. Fantastic service!\r\rCheck out their website, give them a call, and go meet with them and check out the site. I promise you won't regret it!

We had our ceremony in the garden area on August 6th 2010. Jennifer and crystal peak staff set up the area with my shepard's hook and hand blown glass lanterns aligning both sides of of the aisle, just as I had envision. As I steped down the aisle, my feet stepped through rose petals that were perfectly placed. The garden was lush with flowers and butterflies. I couldn't have dreamed a better ceremony setting. \rAfter the ceremony we were treated to appetizers and cocktails in the garden. To say that I felt spoiled would be an understatement. The FOOD was excellent. I still get people telling how much the enjoyed their meal. The wait staff were also wonderful. My guest came to me personally and complimented the staff for being so nice and prompt and accommodating. \rJennifer and John thought of everything from the moment that we decided to have Crystal peak as our site. I smile everytime I think about our wedding and how perfect that day was. I almost feel guilty.
