S Bhatt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-05-2022 We had our wedding at Grand Cascade Lodge on May 7th, 2022. There are no words that can describe how beautiful this venue is. However, what makes this venue even much better is its staff. They are kind and showed us great hospitality for seven different wedding related events we hosted there. We specifically worked with Kathleen Conlin and Jean Van De Ree. Both were very easy to work with and took time to understand what we wanted in our wedding. Especially, Indian wedding! We had signed our contract during the uncertain times of COVID related lockdowns, Jean, as a sales manager, really made us feel comfortable around any cancellations that can happen due to unforeseen events like COVID. She understood what we wanted to execute and she helped us set up the right event framework.Alongside Jean, Kathleen was also great to work with. She is full of positive energy! She carefully took notes and was quite organized. Any obstacles that came during the event, she helped us resolve the issue calmly.Overall, our experience with Crystal Spring and its staff was extremely positive. They helped us execute our big day just like we had imagined! We would highly recommend this venue! We are looking forward to hosting many more events here in the future! Reviewed on 10-07-2022

From day one when we saw Black Bear we feel in love with it . It was everything we were looking for . Location , scenery outside and inside the Black Bear and price . Julie Hoffman explained everything that when you left you actually understood how the plan would be . She went over how the packages work . She did it step by step never rushed through the process. She made it feel like you matter never felt like ok hurry up next . She was very professional in all levels . She explained everything to a tee . What we like about Black Bear it was cozy and beautiful they have ample parking space for guest and a very short walk to the entrance of venue . Our Wedding Coordinators were Lee Wild and Silje Rendine they were also excellent to work with . They help us with the food tasting, and gave us a list of different cakes to choose and taste . WOW the cake tasting was also phenomenal , they picking our table cloth . Black Bear also allows you to pick where you want to place the table in your venue . I have no con for Black Bear there all Pros . If I can get married again I would definitely do it at Crystal Spring Black Bear Reviewed on 29-12-2023

My husband and I wanted to express our sincere gratitude for the overall beauty and charm of Grand Cascades Lodge, which made our wedding day truly memorable. The stunning views, exquisite grounds, and the spacious Emerald ballroom were perfect for our celebration.Working with Jean and Sara was generally a positive experience, and their welcoming attitude during our visits meant a lot to us. However, I wanted to share some constructive feedback regarding the planning process. While our customization requests were accommodated, there were communication challenges, especially on the day of the wedding, with multiple points of contact. The food tasting experience was delightful, and we appreciate the effort in accommodating our preferences. Although some dishes at the cocktail hour were well-received, the braised beef dish didn't meet the standard set during the tasting.Unfortunately, there were a few issues during the weekend that impacted our experience:- The memory table candles were not lit until late in the reception, despite prior requests.- Our sweetheart table had a wrinkled tablecloth, affecting the overall presentation.- The florist's flowers for the cake were left with the kitchen staff, and despite assurances, they were not added as planned.- The shuttle service delay inconvenienced elderly guests who had to wait longer than expected. Crystal Springs was the perfect choice for our daughters wedding. They went above and beyond our expectations. We met first with Jean. She showed us the property and all that it had to offer. Jean was extremely knowledgeable in all the various packages that Crystal Springs had to offer. We then met Sara the wedding coordinator. Sara was absolutely amazing . She responded to all of our emails before the wedding. Sara was very detail orientated. She was extremely organized in every way. The day of the wedding Sara was there to guide our daughter through the day and assist in any way. We can not say enough about Sara. Hector the mai-tre d was also wonderful. He was hands on the whole night, making sure the night ran smooth. He assisted in all aspects of this magical evening.Adrianna was the bridal attendant in the bridal sweet. I honestly did not know what this position entailed yet I can't imagine what we would have done without her. She was calm, made sure our daughter did not want for anything during her preparations. She walked with the wedding party holding the soon to be brides dress and communicating with photographer when needed. Would highly recommend having your wedding here. Reviewed on 06-11-2023

From start to finish, Black Bear Golf Club was a dream to work with for our 10/14/23 wedding. Lee was the greatest wedding coordinator a couple could ask for. She dished out helpful advice and suggestions, answered all our questions, and was warm and friendly every step of the way. She was a source of calm on wedding weekend and we're so grateful for her expertise. The food at Black Bear is generous and delicious. Couples have so many tasty options to choose from and your guests will not leave hungry. The cake that Black Bear supplies from Calandra's is equally incredible. The reception area is spacious -- there's two bars, ample seating, and a large dance floor. The room for cocktail hour is a nice inside/outside space, with enough room for guests to spread out, enjoy each other's company, and take in the scenery. It poured on our wedding day, so we weren't able to use the outside ceremony area, but the staff did an incredible job setting up inside -- the extra decorations and touches they added made it feel just as beautiful. If you get married in fall like we did, prepare to be wowed but all of the pumpkins, gourds, mums, and harvest vibes. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the mountains -- our guests couldn't believe how breathtaking they were as the fog rolled in, and the gentle wisps of foliage sprinkled within. Net/net: Black Bear is affordable in terms of the wedding industry; the food is delicious and bountiful; the scenery is beautiful; and the staff is friendly and helpful. I've been replaying this wonderful day in my head endless since the big day. THANK YOU for everything! Reviewed on 04-11-2023

I can’t say enough AMAZING things about this venue. I have wanted to get married here for so many years so of course once I got engaged I ran to this venue within 48 hours of being engaged. That’s how much I love this place. Everything is here..golf, spa, salon, ceremony/reception area and you get the added bonus of a hotel onsite. Plus another hotel down the street if you need extra rooms. It cannot get more convenient than that. Not to mention the staff is amazing..we booked our date with Jean initially and the process with her was SEAMLESS. Easy, straightforward, no surprise fees. And then it only got better..Kathleen, our wedding coordinator, is phenomenal you want someone like her beside you throughout the process and on the big day. There is a reason she’s in this role because this woman is amazing and diligent. I was never scared of how something would look or come out because Kathleen was on top of it the whole time. We ended up getting married in the ballroom since the weather was not ideal outside. Although anyone would be sad to have this change, the venue & Kathleen of course made sure to make it beautiful. The ballroom is gorgeous and let me say I was not disappointed at all. In fact, I forgot about being outside for the ceremony. And then on top of having a coordinator, we had a maitre D, Hector, and a bridal assistant, Sophia. They were so kind and were by my side & my hubby’s side the whole night. They even would make sure my hubby and I got something to eat and drink at all times. They were my right hand the whole night of the wedding. The staff here is nothing less than spectacular. If I could do it again I would pick this venue OVER and OVER. My guests are still talking about how amazing our wedding was. 50000/5 is the review I would give because this place is a dream venue with excellent service and the views are just an added bonus. If you select this venue, you won’t be sorry. I will be dreaming about my wedding weekend for the rest of my life. Thank you Crystal springs and all the staff who helped in making our big day amazing!! Reviewed on 12-10-2023

We had our wedding June 30, 2023 at Grand Cascades. It was an absolutely perfect day. Our guests travelled from all over the country and raved about our venue. They couldn’t believe the quality and quantity of the food. Everything you need is right there and it is above and beyond all over venues we have visited. You really get more for your money here. The fact that guests can stay right on the premises and walk to and from is so convenient and the rooms at GCS are stunning. We had our after party in the biosphere and it was a must. It was so unique and fun.In terms of planning, it couldn’t have gone better. My friends all told me I NEEDED my own planner but when I met Sarah I felt at ease. I didn’t hire one and it was 100% the right decision. I had a long list of questions for Sarah at our planning meeting and I didn’t even need to ask any of them because she covered them all. She is so good at her job and you can rest assured that everything will go off without a hitch. She coordinated with all of our vendors and made the day of seamless and fun. Our groomsmen were difficult and she rallied the troops perfectly. She is excellent and essential. Hector was my bridal attendant and he was a doll. He always had a cold drink for me and he made sure I was comfortable and even kept changing my shoes! He is a calming presence and a perk I didn’t realize I needed. The staff was really all wonderful. It has been three months and we still can’t stop talking about how beautiful and special our day was. It was more than we could have dreamed of and we will cherish it forever! This venue is an excellent choice! Reviewed on 29-09-2023

Choosing to have my wedding at Crystal Springs Resort was the best decision my husband and I made! We were married 7/7/23 at Sweetgrass Pavilion at Minerals Hotel and as uncommon as a PERFECT wedding day is, ours truly was. From early communication with Rebecca, Wedding Sales Manager, our questions were answered almost immediately every single time! As we got closer to our big day we connected with Dana, Wedding Coordinator, who is a rock star! Not only is she so personable, she is NO BS which ever Bride NEEDS and made sure every thing we envisioned on our wedding day was brought to life down to the tiniest details! Our Maitre D made the decision to bring our ceremony inside, though rain was not in our forecast, and at first I disagreed, however, having so much experience, he knew my guests would have BOILED in the summer sun and set up the indoor option BEAUTIFULLY in front of floor to ceiling windows for a gorgeous view as we said \"I do.\" Reception is where we met our Bridal Attendant, Kaya, though she truly was our best friend for the day! Kaya took care of my husband and I the entire night, whether we needed drinks, food or just a second to be reminded to breathe and soak in the moment. The bartenders would find me on the dancefloor to make sure I was drinking water, our fridge was stocked with cocktail and reception food when we got back to our hotel room at the end of the night. I can go on and on! We saw negative reviews over the year and half we spent planning for our big day so concerns were inevitable, not one guests had a complaint, truly! From food, to accommodations, to hotel activities, every single person had an amazing time; some of which even making a weekend out of it and extending their stays! We kept our party going and spent the next day in the pool drinking rum buckets recapping the magical night before. Check in went smoothly! I remember that being a concern as our ceremony started at 5PM and check in was at 4PM with everything right there on the property, there were no issues to be had. I truly feel spoiled with how well my big day went, but I have to say, having chosen Crystal Springs Resort is what made all of it possible. I can't thank everyone at Minerals Hotel enough! We had the night of our lives! Reviewed on 21-07-2023

You know it's good when other people say how perfect everything went! Truly can't find anything to complain about or anything we'd change. Dana, Terry, and Kaya were crucial to making the day go so amazingly-- we couldn't have done it without them! I'd recommend Sweetgrass Pavilion/Minerals Hotel to anyone! Reviewed on 19-07-2023

Everyone at Crystal Springs was incredible in making our day perfect. Sara, our wedding coordinator, thought of and carried out every detail beyond what we could have even imagined throughout the entire planning process and through our wedding weekend. On our wedding day, we were assigned a maitre’d and bridal attendant to make sure we had everything we needed. I cannot speak highly enough of those that helped us. The bridal attendant, Bella, not only made sure I had food and water at all times (something I didn’t realize I’d forget to do myself with all of the wedding day jitters), but she also pampered our 1 year old and kept her at bay as the ceremony neared! She played with her and got her any snacks she wanted, which speaks to how much she went above and beyond for us. Our guests are STILL raving to us about how beautiful the venue was, how beyond delicious the food was, and that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We had originally planned to get married in 2020, but ended up postponing until 2023 after the pandemic. Both times, we had incredible experiences. After all of these years, we’ve now been able to enjoy incredible golf outings, spa days, and weekend getaways. Crystal Springs (Grand Cascades Lodge in particular) couldn’t have given us a greater experience. Reviewed on 26-06-2023

Also, I would like to mention Kaya our bridal attendant who managed all details on the actual wedding day. There was not a thing that was left to chance. She stayed with us the entire day, driving us around in the golf cart and showing us the best picture shots and hand held the bridal party through every step of the day. My husband loves luxury and I loves country, we wanted something that would give both of these vibes. We were pampered all weekend long and so were our guests. We loved this venue because everything could be done here- we had our rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and after party all on site. We also had everyone get ready at the hotel, the bridal suite is adorable and has everything you need. The guys got ready in our suite. John, the head chef, and his team are magicians in the kitchen. It is not easy cooking 197 meals that all need to go out at pretty much the same time. Everyone raved about the food at the cocktail hour and the reception. The kitchen is able to accommodate all diets- we had vegan, kosher, dairy free and gluten free. They were also able to order a pizza for 2 of our cousins who are autistic and only eat pizza. Kathleen was our coordinator and my goodness she has patience! She helped me through family drama, planning needs, day of concerns, and so much more. I contemplated getting a day of coordinator separate from what CSR provides but after speaking with Kathleen I felt there was no need. She was able to handle the few DIY details I had. We did our after party at the pool and if you can swing it I would highly suggest doing it. Alana Sullivan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-12-2022 We had our wedding at Grand Cascades in December 2022 and we can honestly say that the staff and venue met and exceeded every expectation we had. Crystal Springs was incredible in every way including service, food, value, attention to detail, and just the overall ambiance of the hotel and the venue.Kathleen, our coordinator, was honestly a rock star in so many ways and was there at a moment's notice whenever we needed her. We had a few last minute requests that Kathleen handled with grace and ease and always seemed to be one step ahead of our requests. I cannot say enough good things about her quality service and helpfulness!!! Our Maitre D' Hector and Bridal Attendant Julianna were equally amazing. Julianna was extremely helpful and always by our side whenever we needed anything during the wedding day, as was Hector. In terms of the cocktail hour, the food was delicious and extremely plentiful. We went with the platinum package and our guests were not disappointed with any of the selections. We were able to try a few of the apps ourselves, which were delicious, but our guests have since raved to us about the food and how amazing it was. Moving on to the reception. In terms of food and service, again, everything was first rate. We had the fig and arugula salad first, which was already plated as the guests entered and then after introductions/dances the mushroom and truffle bisque was served. The salad was good, but the soup was amazing! My husband finished his whole bowl even after we ate plenty of appetizers. Our dinner options were the seared chicken breast, the steak, and the Moroccan sea bass.  Again our guests raved about the food and most of the plates we saw were eaten clean. During the reception the head chef even came to our table to see how we liked the food which was an awesome touch. The steak meal was honestly the best steak I've ever had at a wedding (i know we're biased). The chef shared that all of the steaks were sous vide and it was apparent by how delicious they were. Again, this is just another testament to the attention to detail and the overall service level of Crystal Springs. The rest of the party was amazing and went by in the blink of an eye. Bartenders and wait staff were outstanding and kept the open bar flowing the entire night. Fun was certainly had by all who attended. For our after-party we opted to do it in the Biosphere pool which I would also say is a must do. Some of our guests were a little hesitant when we told them to pack a swimsuit, but I can honestly say that everyone who came down to the pool had an after-party they will never forget. The ambiance was again amazing and was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. The day after the wedding we held a breakfast for our guests in the Rotunda room, which was really nice as well. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed being back in the beautiful room one last time. Definitely a good option if you're considering it.We were also able to pick up all of our decorations, bridal suite items, and wedding \"stuff\" the following day from Kathleen. Everything was neatly packaged and labeled and not one thing was lost, broken, or left behind. Again I cant express how amazing the wedding staff is at Crystal Springs and I would tell anyone interested in this venue to 100% book it. Our guests LOVED the hotel and equally loved the venue. I would say most couples worry about at least one thing or detail on the day of their wedding but due to the extremely high and quality service of Kathleen and her team, we did not have to worry about one thing. When there were obstacles that came up, they used an agile approach and were flexible with any requests along the way. Kathleen and Jean were extremely communicable and the service from both my wife and I's Maitre D's was flawless. The night moved as fluent as possible and all the planning to get to that point was as easy as possible from the Crystal Spring service. When we asked for recommended vendors, we were provided an extensive list of individuals within different pricing buckets that were all familiar with the venue. Our day blew our expectations out of the water. One thing that our guests could not stop talking about was the quality of the food (and service that came with it). We come from large families that do not hold back their thoughts and with almost 200 people in attendance, you're bound to hear some constructive criticism somewhere. Over the past 4 months with the holidays just passing, we have seen about 3/4 of the wedding attendants and everyone to date was still drooling over the food and reminiscing over the picture-esque venue that is Crystal Springs. All in all, there is not enough good things I could say about this venue. Our day was perfect in every sense of the word. Kristen and I appreciate everything this venue and our vendors provided us. We were not disappointed and have to commend the resort staff for their professionalism and experience. First, the venue itself was spectacular. We had an outdoor, sunset service in the Wedding Garden followed by a fantastic cocktail hour in the Rotunda. The reception in the Emerald Room was also amazing. Our wedding coordinator, Sara McManus was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs, especially as the day drew closer. Helping to manage our list of guests staying at the resort she was very responsive to emails and calls. The professionalism and experience of all the staff was so amazing, from Brett the Banquet Manager to Hector the Maitre d' to the assigned Bridal and Groom attendants made the whole weekend a fantastic affair. Even the chef came out at the reception to check on how dinner was...and it was amazing. Our guests all raved about the wait staff, bartenders, the food and accommodations. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! We continue to receive amazing feedback from our guests about how great the staff was, how delicious the food was, how beautiful the venue was, how nice the hotel rooms are - I could go on and on. Our Maître d and Bridal Attendant were extremely attentive and helpful throughout the entire night - we were able to enjoy the night because of their coordination and help. And the cherry on top - we hosted our after party at the Biosphere Pool and it was a HUGE hit!!! People will talk about our wedding for years to come because of the pool. The only negative comment I had about the entire day was that my parent's hotel room was on the completely opposite side of the hotel from the bridal suite. We kept all of our dresses, details, accessories, steamers etc. in their room so did A LOT of walking back and forth to get everything into the bridal suite. We would 10000% choose Crystal Springs Country Club again (I honestly wish I could go back and throw our wedding all over again!) We met Daniel at our rehearsal dinner (which was perfection), and he was there for us until the very end of our wedding. Every little detail was made possible that night because of him. I still get chills as I think back to our wedding night when he came into the cocktail hour to get us the last few minutes so we were able to see the ballroom before any of our guests. I could never thank the staff enough for the hard work that made it all possible. The true magical moment and what I talk about the most from our wedding night is after we saw the ballroom, Daniel brought us back to our cleaned up bridal suite to a table set for 2. Complete with all the cocktail hour foods and champagne. It was a moment I will never forget as he said, now you have 10 minutes together with no interruptions. Enjoy each other. Robin Barsky(other)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2021 Robin BLovely venue, beautiful outcome, hell to get there! Lets start with the wedding ceremony in the lovely outside garden. Mic was not on during the ceremony, and we could not find anyone to ask to fix it in a timely manner. Menu was changed after we made choices, as no one had told us that they were in the process of changing out their meals. Every single thing that the \"wedding coordinator\" told us would be no problem turned out to be a problem for the venue, which we would find out thru an email upon our return home. We were assured that menu items agreed to on the old menu would be honored on the new menu without an up charge, This was untrue. Wedding coordinator assigned to us by venue left the job the day before our event. New coordinator had no idea what had been agreed. \"Peking Duck\" appetizer turned out to be bbq pork instead. A our request, servers in the room were masked; we noted that bar tenders and maitre'd also in the room, were not masked. In reference to table decorations, wooden table number spelled out were what was ordered; acrylic numerical signs what was given. Staff's attitude was disappointing. Half the time they didn't answer questions, the rest of the time they agreed and did nothing. Butlered items at the party were not refilled, so that while there were indeed lamb chops offered, very few of out guests got them. Timing for the wedding was done badly. Guests waited in the hallways after the ceremony as the cocktail rotunda was not yet ready. We requested that the doors of the rotunda be open as it was a nice day and we wanted things outside as much as possible. Although this was agreed to, it was not done even after we requested over and over again for the doors to be opened. Finally 1 door was opened. The wedding reception started at 7, however the Maitre\"D did not allow the bridal party and parents to enter till 7;40, so that we missed 40 minutes for no apparent reason. Special items, such as memory table items were misplaced and not available for the wedding, This included the picture of the groom's deceased brother, which was later found and returned. Attention was lacking in almost every detail! One of the desserts promised was a fruit platter, This never appeared. My guests tell me that there was no coffee or tea offered at the the table, and no one had any idea that our paid for premium package included at table bar service! The valet services were the one exception to this; came when needed, were friendly, courteous, and helpful., however valet service was the wedding was contracted until 11PM. When one of out guests attempted to leave at 10:50PM he was informed that the valets had gone home for the night but the hotel staff would attempt to find the car, which he did. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous as well. As for breakfast the next day, it was called from 8-10:30. We had been told there would be a sign identifying the breakfast party. At 8AM room had been not setup, there was no sign, and by 8:30 everything was still cold. The staff appeared to be in state of shock. If you are someone who is not particular about the details of your wedding, then this is the perfect place. Turns out nice, but not necessarily what you want. Reviewed on 08-12-2021

Kassandra Caporaso(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2021 Absolutely amazing is all I have to say!Our wedding day was perfect, and the staff here at Sweetgrass Pavilion are definitely to thank for that. If there is one reason besides how beautiful the grounds are between the beautiful fall foliage and the pavilion itself, to book this venue it would for Kaya our personal best friend for the day. If I could I would write this whole review about her, she was incredible, from the second she arrived in the bridal suite she was ready to make sure our day went as smoothly as possible. I felt like she truly was our best friend, I was exhausted by the time reception came and was talking about how we had no more monsters left so she sent someone out and had one waiting for me at the sweetheart table during dinner. She truly did not miss a beat, she knew exactly when we needed her and what we needed, she transported us around on the golf cart to the perfect photo spots and even allowed us to drive it too. If you read this Kaya, just know how much we appreciated you all day. Before wedding day I spoke primarily with Nicole and Dana who were also amazing. Nicole answered my million different questions I had in a very timely manner and had no problem with the amount of times we changed our minds. She was very knowledgeable on all the information needed regarding the wedding, and overall extremely helpful in our planning process. Dana was a gem to work with, she helped create my vision for our ceremony and reception space come alive. We did our final detail meeting with her and even though we forgot to print out the paper, she kindly made no issue of it and helped us fill it out. She was awesome on the day of, decorating and helping with any last questions we had. We are so grateful for the staff here for helping us achieve our perfect day. Other than the staff the whole hotel is worth the booking, from our arrival on Thursday (other than some minor room issues) we were able to greatly enjoy all the resort has to offer. My husband played basketball with his guys while we relaxed in the pool after our rehearsal dinner. The pavilion itself sold us when we did our tour, it is so unique and beautiful, you do not need anything special to make it more beautiful than it already is. Jen Blajsa(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-07-2021 Most amazing venue ever!!! Where else can you get a mini destination feel, GORGEOUS views, phenomenal food, and the most incredible, attentive, and creative staff?? Grand Cascades really had everything we were looking for in a venue and more! We loved that our guests could stay right on site and could continue the party all weekend! Our guests loved their stay and many said they would be back for vacations! We had originally planned to have our wedding here in July of 2020, but had to postpone to July 2021. The entire process was handled seamlessly through Jean, the head wedding sales manager. She was always there for questions and help throughout the stressful process of having to move our wedding! We met Laura, our wedding coordinator in March and were extremely impressed with her attention to every detail. Her experience and expertise shown through during our final detail meeting. The day of, she did not disappoint in the slightest! Everything was absolutely perfect and we could not have asked for anything more. She even added special touches to make the day the best it could possibly be!Throughout the process, we kept hearing about the amazing Daniel, the Maitre D who could bustle even the longest train and paid extremely close attention to every detail. He completely lived up to the hype and more! One of my favorite moments of the day, was when he took my husband and I a little early from cocktail hour to go look at the ballroom before the guests came in. I was absolutely overwhelmed with emotion because everything looked so beautiful and I couldn't believe we were there! Then, he took us to the bridal suite where him and the bridal attendant had set up a special table for us with Champagne and food from the cocktail hour. They gave us 15 minutes alone to just relax and take everything in. This a moment I will cherish forever! During the reception, every time we needed a drink, Daniel was there! My bustle also came undone, and he was there to fix it! There is no way the day would have gone so smoothly without him. We are so grateful to have been able to work with him!We also had an afterparty at the biosphere pool and it was one of the best decisions ever! We and our guests had a little bit too much fun and it will be something that will stand out in our guests minds forever. It was an absolute blast! What other venue offers an after party at the pool with a waterslide??If you are thinking about visiting any of the Crystal Springs properties, DO IT! You will not be disappointed, especially at Grand Cascades. :) Reviewed on 28-07-2021
Megan McCarron(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-07-2021 My husband and I had our \"re-do\" wedding here, after our originally planned wedding for June 20, 2020 was postponed with the pandemic. Throughout the postponing process, the whole staff at Minerals were so accommodating, working with us to move our date and reassure us in the process. Nicole and Dana made the planning process easy and worked with us as we waited to find out if our international family would be able to join us. We had minor hiccups throughout the day (salad was different than originally selected- but delicious, a bit of a humid cocktail hour room- to be fair though all of NJ was God awful humid this past weekend, & slight miscommunication about when to take pictures) but nothing that would ever make me regret the decision of selecting Minerals for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, we made the last minute decision to move cocktail hour inside, as the threat of a hurricane blowing in loomed above us. The cocktail hour space was lovely inside, although it got a bit warm and humid inside with all our guests. We were able to take pictures outside and Kaya (the bridal attendant) had clear umbrellas waiting for us in the event the sky opened up. Our guests raved about the food the whole night! We also were able to get shuttles to take guests to the pavilion, which was beautifully decorated by Dana and our florist. Due to international travel restrictions, we still ended up having a smaller wedding of about 65 people but the way the tables were set up around the dance floor the pavilion felt full and not empty which was a big worry of ours. We danced the night away, and even in the hour that it absolutely poured outside the pavilion, our guests had no clue it was even raining. Kaya and Terry made sure that my husband and I always had a drink in our hands and food in our bellies. Everyone happily danced the night away! We also timed it perfectly so when the rain did stop, we were able to sneak outside to play with the sparklers and get some photos outside! Overall it was such a magical evening and it was so worth every minute of stress of replanning a wedding during a pandemic. Reviewed on 12-07-2021
Beth Laskoski(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2021 The best decision we made was to have our daughter's wedding at Sweetgrass Pavilion at Minerals Hotel. The wedding staff at the resort is exceptional. From the start of our search, Nicole gave us a detailed tour and answered all our questions. As the event approached, we began working with Dana. She is knowledgeable and could anticipate every question even before we asked. Even though she must manage multiple weddings, Dana responded quickly to any concern and made the whole process seamless. The weekend of the wedding, Dana was literally \"on call,\" readily available for any last minute issues. There weren't any, of course, since Dana had everything so carefully planned out. The transfer of flowers from ceremony to reception was flawless. Dana has a real fair for decorating, and she had all the wedding paraphernalia arranged perfectly. From start to finish, I appreciated Dana's reassurance and support. We got even more attention when Kaya arrived on the scene. As personal assistant to the bride, Kaya calmed my daughter's nerves and made sure she had everything she needed. From getting water for the wedding party, to making sure the bride and groom had appetizers, to driving the couple and aged grandparents around in the golf cart, Kaya did it all. Her most wedding-saving task was dealing with the wardrobe malfunction of the bridal gown. The bustle came out, and Kaya literally sat on the floor pinning it back in place. It was so nice not to have to worry about ANYTHING the entire night. Even after the event was over, the staff took down our string lights. I thought for sure they'd be a tangled mess, but they were perfectly wrapped and ready for my niece's wedding. This wedding team knows how to host a stress-free wedding! In addition to the wonderful staff, the venue itself is gorgeous. The ceremony is intimately nestled amongst lovely flowers. The pavilion can best be described as rustic-charming. The father-daughter dance was perfectly set with a twilight backdrop of the mountains. Perfect photos! The hotel offers a one stop fun zone for the entire family. Those who weren't golfing spent the morning by the pool. We also had a rehearsal dinner and brunch at the hotel. Both events were as terrific as the wedding. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was so nice to have so many wonderful events in one place. I can't thank Nicole, Dana, Kaya and all the friendly hotel staff for making our daughter's wedding such a special, memorable event for all! You can't go wrong with this venue! Reviewed on 08-07-2021

From arranging a room close to the ballroom for my grandparents to to the other to bustling my dress, they did it ALL! The day-of flow & support was fantastic. Brooke the bridal attendant was also super attentive and helpful! Everyone also raved about the food and the variety of options...and of course the beautiful views. Seriously almost a month out and people are still texting me about the food and incredible service!!! The hotel was accommodating to all of my guests once they arrived and everyone at the resort knew who we were and treated us SO well.. It’s truly an unique venue that offers that destination feel. The venue it’s self it’s truly like a fairytale, but Laura, Daniel and Brooke are a HUGE reason that our wedding was as perfect as it was. Donna Anderle(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-04-2021 What a whirlwind we have been through with planning our wedding (and then our actually day was both metaphorically and literally a whirlwind.. so windy!) but Julie, our sales coordinator at Ballyowen, was absolutely incredible. She was accommodating and always happy to answer questions, but we also appreciated her honesty on many things, helping to guide us into making the right decisions for our big day. When it came to postponing, it was so easy to do, since everything is all in one place. I would book with Ballyowen 10 times over!Luis was our maitre'd and he was pretty attentive. My bridal party did seem to say he was always there when they needed him, although I am not sure I had the same experience. Nonetheless, he was very kind and happy to help when I was able to find him. A few things weren't ideal - we hired the bagpiper and our understanding was that he would play between the cocktail hour and the reception. Somehow this was not communicated, and he played during our bridal recessional... at the same time as our string quartet. Very disappointing. Also, when we returned the next day to pick up our decorations and the items that were left in the bridal suite, nothing from the bridal suite could be recovered. One of the wedding coordinators was there but could not get in contact with anyone to help locate the missing items. Julie communicated with me throughout all of the regulation changes over the past few months and we were finally able to get married on 10/30/2020 with 78 guests in and outdoor event. It was COLD but the staff had heat lamps, floor heaters and a fireplace to help make everyone as comfortable as possible. The food was delicious and plentiful. The venue looked GORGEOUS and our sneak peaks are beautiful as the property is simply stunning. After MONTHS of stress, I'm so so happy with the way everything turned out. Bryan Domanski(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2020 This venue is a nightmare. From their handling of the pandemic to totally unreachable personnel, I would recommend you stay away from this venue and hotel. They have let go of their entire sales force so you will have nobody to reach out to. The few that are left employ a strategy of if you don't pick up the phone, then there is no problem. We had to cancel our wedding reception here because there is just a small global pandemic happening. It took us over 4 months to get in touch with someone who finally promised us a refund. Well that day has come and gone and we haven't received anything. All attempts to get in touch with anyone at this hotel have proven to be fruitless. Anna T(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2020 During this time of crisis with COVID-19, this business showed its true colors -- all of which were ugly. Do not give this place your business. They don't care about doing the right thing. They only care about money, and they will do whatever they can to try to keep it, even if they have no legal right to do so.FULL STORY: We booked our wedding back in spring of 2019. Once the coronavirus forced businesses shutdown in February 2020, we knew our June wedding plans would be postponed. We began to express these concerns to the venue in March. When it was our turn to pick a new date in April, everything turned sour.By this time, our wedding was nearly paid in full. Our initial deposit in 2019 was 25%. When we went to pick the new date (June 2021 --now 2 years after booking), we were told the deposit requirement would suddenly be changed to 42%, and that we would not be refunded anything more than that amount. Our contract clearly stated no changes could be made without both parties agreeing. By changing the date and deposit requirements, Crystal Springs violated their contract with us. We did not agree to the raised deposit. With businesses shut down, there was a good chance they could go out of business and we would lose all our money. We spoke to the sales director, Linda Alloco. Not only was she rude and condescending, but she could not tell us where our money was. How's that for transparency? We contacted the Better Business Bureau and even had an attorney write a letter. Crystal Springs ignored both requests. A month before the wedding, we still had no resolution. We finally had no choice but to issue 3 credit card charge-backs with Chase. This morning, over a month after our wedding was supposed to happen, we got confirmation that 100% of our money was refunded to us. In other words, Crystal Springs was in the wrong, and Chase knew it.Throughout this whole ordeal, I cannot find a single e-Mail where the staff from Crystal Springs expressed one bit of sympathy for our wedding being postponed. My last living grandparent is 94 years old and might not be around a year from now. The groom's mother is immuno-compromised and would not be able to attend if the virus is still present. This was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives. Crystal Springs could care less about any of those things. They have no moral compass.I am writing this review to let other couples know that if they are also being treated poorly by Crystal Springs, there is still recourse. Get everything in writing and document the dates of all your phone calls and e-Mails. Call your credit card company ASAP and explain your situation. File a chargeback and be prepared to fight with all you've got.To Robby Younes, the COO who was \"too busy to talk to us\" while holding $20k of our money: Shame on you for refusing to hold up the initial 25% deposit. For breaching our contract. For forcing my family to fight with your horrendous managers for 4 MONTHS, when you could have simply done the right thing from the start.Mr. Younes, word of mouth will make Crystal Springs lose more business than you realize. Was it worth losing 100% of our business, getting a negative review on every social media platform, and having a black mark on your relationship with Chase? You paid your staff to write hundreds of e-Mails and spend hours on the phone with us, and now you aren't seeing a dime of that money come back. Nice ROI. Reviewed on 08-07-2020
Jamie MacDonald(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-03-2020 We got married at Black Bear Golf Club, part of Crystal Springs Resort. We toured 3 of the whole resorts possible 5 venues, but knew that Black Bear was it. Crystal Springs as a whole was the only venue we looked at and before we left that day, we knew we didn’t need to go anywhere else. The fact that we could get an all-inclusive package, a hotel, and transportation was a no brainer. We loved everything about Black Bear from the gazebo ceremony space, to the open windows throughout the cocktail hour and reception space, and the overall intimacy of it all. We met Julie for the tour and we couldn’t imagine going through the whole process with anyone else. She was amazing, always answering our emails, being willing to follow up with Minerals (the hotel we used), and anything else we threw her way. She was also our coordinator, which originally we were going to be working with Silje, but she went out on maternity leave and we only met her at the food tasting. Which we actually almost missed, but Julie rescheduled another one when a snow/ice storm caused us to not go. Again, she’s amazing! And speaking of food tasting, the FOOD was to die for. We went with three of the four entrees we tried at the tasting, but we truly believe we would’ve been satisfied with any of the choices we would have picked. We still have guests say “those mushroom raviolis were awesome!” We didn’t even get to all of the items I wanted in our cocktail hour because guests were enjoying them so much the kitchen ran out! Kim was our Maitre d’ and she is a rock star! Every time we turned around she was there to see if we needed anything. She made sure we had food from the buffet, drinks always full, and even food and cupcakes to go. She was truly amazing in making sure we were taken care of, even before the reception kicked off and we were just hanging in the bridal suite. Black Bear was the perfect venue for our wedding of almost 150. Julie and Kim provided such a level of service beyond what we could have asked for from start to finish (even when I had to email her days later because we left something behind in the hotel!). Black Bear, Minerals, and any part of Crystal Springs Resort is a place we would highly recommend! Reviewed on 29-03-2020

Hayley Veno(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-12-2019 My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Grand Cascades Lodge on Dec. 1, 2019. Before I go into detail, I must say we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding. Jean helped us book this venue within budget which was amazing in itself, and all the staff exceeded our expectations in every way! In the months leading up to our wedding, we were designated with Sarah as our wedding coordinator. She was absolutely amazing and focuses on attention to detail. She went above and beyond for us when it came to how the centerpieces and favors would be displayed as I made my own as well as getting back with us in a more than timely manner whenever we had questions. She was there on the day of our wedding to finish last minute touches with an icy blizzard outside, and everything looked absolutely stunning. As my husband and I had a Christmas themed wedding, we were so happy to know the venue begins decorating the week leading up to Thanksgiving. Our wedding was the weekend after, and the staff went above and beyond to decorate as much as possible before our wedding. As we approached the Grand Cascades on our wedding day, the scene couldn't have been more perfect (minus the ice storm of course). There was a blanket of snow on the ground, and the venue was decorated with Christmas lights from the long driveway to the lodge itself. When we walked into the main building, a beautiful Christmas tree was in the front entrance. We were immediately greeted with glasses of champagne, hot chocolate, and warm apple cider. Even the cocktail hour room was decorated! We've been married a little over a month, and our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour. There was such an abundance of delicious food and drinks, I was full before dinner! Did I mention a five hour open bar as well as the wedding cake is included in the price you pay for this venue?? My husband and I got to have a \"first look\" at our reception hall before the guests were sent over. From the centerpieces, to the cake, to the beautiful chandeliers, and the exquisite head table as well as the large dance floor, it was exactly as I imagined for our wedding, if not better. My husband was equally as amazed at a beautiful job well done. Throughout the cocktail hour and reception, the Maitre' D was fabulous. He took care of everything for us! From bustling my dress to assuring my husband and I had drinks and food, to handling a situation that came up due to the weather, and making sure everything ran smoothly all night, he was fantastic and did an exceptional job. Both him and Sarah ensured our wedding reception was the one we've dreamed of.When the day is over, and it goes so quickly, we decided to have an after party at the bar down the hall. Even on a Sunday, they were open until 0130! We were exhausted but partied on!! While my husband and I and our guests headed to the bar, the staff made sure to bring the centerpieces ( I wanted to keep some), and all other wedding supplies up to our room. When we opened the door to our suite, we were dazzled. All the wedding supplies were neatly organized on a table, our centerpieces were placed beautifully and turned on, and we were greeted with a roaring fire, a bottle of champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. We couldn't have ended our wedding day on a more perfect note. Thank-you to all staff for a perfect day. Jamie Homan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-10-2019 I can't believe it has taken me this long to review Crystal Springs, Grand Cascades Lodge; It was, HANDS DOWN, the best decision of our entire wedding on October 19, 2019. From the very start, the staff at Grand Cascades was incredible. Jean, who helped us book the venue, went above and beyond to accommodate our budget since she knew it was our dream location. Then, when we were handed off to our coordinator, Jessica, I knew we would be in the best hands. Jessica was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we met her, all the way through our wedding night, she made sure every little detail was taken care of so that we didn't have to stress. She went into superhero mode when the ceremony decor was not as I imagined before I had a meltdown, fixing every last detail as if it were her own wedding. She DECORATED OUR CAKE when the florist left it undone. She spent time with me trying to figure out how I could get McDonald's delivered to the venue for when guests left the party -- highly recommend this. She fluffed my gown and fixed my hair because, oh yeah, she also used to be a hairdresser. I mean... could she have been any more perfect!? On top of all of this, Jessica was the kindest, sweetest, most calming presence on our day. I can't say enough about her and the entire staff who was there for our every need. This also includes the bridal attendant and maitre d' who made sure our glasses were never empty, that we ate our (incredible) food, and that we took a moment to enjoy each other and absorb what was happening. They even set up a private room for just the two of us after the ceremony to enjoy our cocktail hour food in a romantic setting! It was like a fairytale! As I said, Grand Cascades Lodge was the best decision we could have made. Even prior to wedding day our guests and bridal party were able to enjoy the amazing spa, the biosphere, and all other amenities they have to offer. The setting was gorgeous (a perfect sunset sky with a mountain backdrop for our ceremony couldn't be topped), the ballroom was breathtaking, the food was phenomenal (people can't stop talking about it), and I know our family will continue to visit Grand Cascades for years to come with beautiful memories behind us. Oh -- and I'm sure most of our guests will be back now, too! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Reviewed on 24-12-2019

We looked at about 20 venues before deciding on Minerals - the gorgeous ceremony and cocktail outdoor venues, the simple yet elegant ballroom, and the value of food/drink for the price is what made our decision. We toured twice with Nicole and booked with her. She is very good at her job and it was a pleasure to work with her. We then had the privilege of working with Erika, our coordinator. I truly cannot say enough about her - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, responsive, thorough, assuring, and kind are just a few. I was stressing because we hired a lot of vendors, had a lot of details, just a lot of moving parts - Erika made sure absolutely everyone and everything were where they should be, when they should be. We have received countless compliments from our guest - best cocktail food ever, best dinner food ever, best bar selection, best wedding ever been to. Then working with Erika from a few months before up until the morning after our Big Day was an incredible experience. She reminded me of things I needed to get done, wasn't pushy and would respond to emails almost immediately if I had any questions or concerns. Erika really made an impression the day of, she was very attentive and took care of everything without any issues. She was incredibly pleasant to work with. Marcia was my bridal attendant and she rose to the occasion getting everyone where & when they were needed. She was attentive, helpful & a lot of fun to run around with. As for the Venue itself, everything was gorgeous! The grounds are impeccable, lush and rich with color, only adding to the already breathe taking views. Even though everything was outdoors the ceremony & cocktail hour are kept separate from the reception area at the Sweetgrass Pavilion (you take golf carts across the lawn - everyone loved that) which made for an \"away from everything\" feel. The food was presented & displayed wonderfully. And everyone couldn't stop telling us how delicious everything was.As our guests were leaving they couldn't stop telling us how our wedding was one of best they've ever attended.Bottom line, if we had to do it all over again, we would choose Minerals & the Sweetgrass Pavilion without a doubt! Ronak Rawal(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-08-2019 Crystal Springs Resort- Grand Cascades Lodge is absolutely breathtaking. We had our wedding here on 8.24.19 and the staff made us feel like royalty. They truly went above and beyond for us and made the whole day magical. We want to specially thank Jean and Jenna for being so amazing and accommodating . I would recommend this place to everyone. THANK YOU FOR GIVING US THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIFE. Reviewed on 13-09-2019
Darcy Forlenza(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2019 We held our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, reception & farewell breakfast all on site at the Crystal Springs Grand Cascades Lodge. Jean set us up with a great discount and we worked closely with Jessica to plan all of our events. Jessica was amazing and executed our vision with patience & skill. Loved working with her. Renee always responded promptly to each request I sent for our room block list. Daniel & Dana coordinated everything during the cocktail hour and reception & made sure it was a day to remember. Many of our guests walked away proclaiming that this was the best wedding they’d ever been to. They were impressed by the incredible food and full open bar, which came included as part of the wedding package. There were a ton of special touches the day-of, such as the venue staff handing my husband and I our signature drinks as soon we exited the ceremony & setting up two of each appetizer for us so that we could try them all after mingling with our guests during cocktail hour. The staff placed the top layer of our wedding cake in our hotel room fridge as well as leftover lobster tails & filet mignon without us even having to ask. Additionally, they took care of all the event set up and breakdown and made the event spaces look spectacular. We hosted 85 people with the platinum buffet package. There was something for everyone and the double sided buffet meant the line moved really quickly. My only feedback for the reception would be that there was a decoration left off the sweetheart table, which the staff later apologized for, and which I should have noticed as soon as I sat down so that I could have had it resolved in real-time. There was also a mix up with two table numbers that left a few guests without seats, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. On the positive side, some other items we loved included a free shuttle between Cascades Lodge & Minerals Hotel (which ran until we finished our after party), the amazing Biosphere Pool & myriad of activities for our guests to enjoy on site. The spa was fantastic & I left my massage feeling so refreshed. The restaurants were amazing including Latour, which we enjoyed in the wine cellar for the rehearsal dinner and the Chef’s Garden, which accommodated our group of 14 people (with Jessica's assistance getting a reservation) and blew us away with their fresh farm to table food & fun ambiance. Some hotel cons that didn't have to do with event staff: Very expensive guest rooms. One couple found dirty utensils in their suite’s kitchen drawers & another guest’s room had a large wet area under an AC unit. To the hotel’s credit, they did quickly work to address these issues. I was turned off by a less than stellar breakfast delivered by room service on the first day. I would also note that our deck door didn’t lock & the issue was not resolved. Guest room furniture was dated, though comfortable. Laundry service is no longer offered. My mom didn’t get a welcome bag at check in, though this seemed to be a one-off. Overall though, we were treated like celebrities and found the staff (especially bellhops!) to be really helpful. We will definitely be back & would highly recommend this venue for your next vacation or event. Our wedding surpassed my expectations & I would do it here again in a heartbeat. Reviewed on 11-09-2019
Kady Zimmermann(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-08-2019 From the second we arrived at Crystal Springs Resort to visit their wedding reception spaces we fell in love! We had our wedding at Grand Cascades and enjoyed every second. Our wedding coordinator handled all of our small but important details, the staff was amazing, and Daniel our maitre'd was unbelievable. He anticipated our every need, kept us on schedule to make sure we got every picture or moment we wanted, and essentially made sure everything about our day was perfect. We are still getting compliments from everyone who attended our wedding on the quality of the food, the venue, and the staff. We also worked with Maggie and Sod who were also amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole day. It was seriously the most perfect day due to the AMAZING service we received from everyone at Mineral Springs. Kate Malloy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2019 This venue was FANTASTIC! Absolutely beautiful, professional staff, fantastic food, and the space was perfect for our size wedding. Silje was so wonderful and responsive to anything I needed while planning (including about 100 week-of requests and questions), and was MVP when she stepped in to save the day when our florist completely dropped the ball. She made sure every detail was perfect -- from all of the pictures and decor items I brought, our camp-fire s'mores set-up, and our requests for the outside set-up post ceremony. And then there is Luis!!! OMG was he fantastic -- and all of our guests noticed!! He literally did it all. So many little details -- he took care of our groomsmen while we took portraits, he made sure we got to try everything from cocktail hour (he even made sure I ate!!), our drinks were always fresh, he even took care of a sick guest. And the big things -- our buffet style dinner was EXACTLY how we envisioned it, everything was delicious and timely, there was NEVER a wait at the buffet, and my husband and I got to truly enjoy every single second of our reception. The entire day was smooth and our guests had an absolute blast because of how wonderful the staff was at Ballyowen. Cannot thank them enough for the most perfect day! Reviewed on 07-08-2019
Cait Newell(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2019 I can’t recommend Crystal Spring Minerals Resort enough for your special day. Our wedding was just perfect and exactly what we wanted, relaxing and fun. Wedding planning can be a little stressful and everyone at Minerals made it as simple as possible, answering all our questions, offering recommendations for vendors, and assisting with setting up on the day of. We were able to make a full weekend of celebrations with all our family and friends hanging out by the pools, grabbing drinks at the Moonshine bar and watching the kids run around the splash pad (our son’s favorite thing of the whole weekend). The venue (Sweetgrass Pavilion) is absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the pavilion was great for dancing the night away. The whole staff from our initial tour to checking out were so friendly and welcoming by the end of the weekend we truly felt like they were part of our group. Special shout out to Erika and Tracy for all their kindness and assistance with everything, our wedding was made all the more memorable thanks to them and we can’t wait to visit Minerals again. Rachel Gatewood(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-07-2019 I have to say the potential for this venue is very high, however, the delivery is extremely disappointing. On the hottest weekend of the year, the resort was entirely under staffed and chaotic. We had over 100 people traveling and staying the weekend for our wedding and the front desk staff was clearly overwhelmed since there were several events happening at once. Understandably, a high volume of guests can't be anticipated but I was expecting a lot more attention to detail for wedding guests' rooms and needs. There were several mix ups with reservations that were made months in advance that caused a lot of confusion for the bride & groom's immediate families. Now as for the wedding details - any couple would be LUCKY to have Erika as their coordinator! She deserves an award for her attentiveness and willingness to go above & beyond her duties. Erika is the only reason I was able to keep calm on our wedding weekend and she was truly a rock for us. Since we knew that it would be record breaking heat, Erika thought ahead and suggested we move the cocktail hour inside which we did and it was a great choice! The food was very good and the bar was fully stocked with our requests.A few details that left us disappointed was that they had no one to help with luggage and getting a bell cart was hopeless! It felt like the community members were put well before those of the wedding/hotel guests with all of the amenities. On our wedding day, we had to constantly request things such as drinking water in the bridal suite and the location of the bridal attendant was a mystery most of the time since she was also allocated to the waitstaff which meant I (the bride) was left waiting around for help or needing to reach out to Erika. The Pavilion was beautiful and arranged just as we asked. It is a great rustic setting and exactly what we envisioned. Unfortunately though, the lighting is not enough for photographs so our photographer had to bring extra lights in even though we had uplighting from the DJ. We also had lawn games out on the grass and s'mores for dessert which almost everyone missed out on because there was no lighting to highlight that area. We would've needed to announce these things via the DJ I guess. Probably my biggest disappointment was that our dinner was served SO LATE and they served the children LAST! Our food was placed on our sweetheart table while we were gone and left uncovered. We did not get to eat anything aside from the salad. Also, our vendors were told they would be served last and never even got to eat since the food came out at 10pm.Overall, I would recommend this venue to other couples with a few reservations: a. work with Erika any chance you get (I didn't work with Nicole much but I assume she is also awesome!) b. don't expect 5 star service from the hotel or wait-staff because they are overallocated, undertrained and not empowered to do anything more than the job; in fact, we met the MatreD one time and did not see him again until the next day. c. anticipate the resort being PACKED with people at any time causing chaos and leaving little time to relax. We enjoyed our wedding reception at Minerals because we made sure our most important details were paid the most attention to. It would've been better if the staff at Minerals was more empowered to provide help to the wedding party and anticipated typical wedding requests in advance. If you are looking for a venue that is laid back and VERY simple, this is it. Reviewed on 25-07-2019
Kristin Misdom(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2019 We had our wedding at the Minerals Hotel in June and I cannot say enough good things about our experience! Nicole was such a good resource from the start and then Erika (our coordinator) did literally everything to help make it the most special day for us. They were both super responsive to email and answering my many many questions as we got closer to the day. My husband and I were looking for an outdoor venue (but without having to use porta-potties) and also having a hotel close by. So when we saw the Mineral hotel outdoor pavilion we knew it was the perfect solution. The outdoor pavilion is GORGEOUS and you really don't need much decor because the outside is just so picture perfect. All of our guests said it was one of the coolest and funnest weddings they've ever been to (we had a cigar bar which a lot of the guys really enjoyed) and I loved how we could all just walk back to the hotel and not have to worry about people driving anywhere or providing transportation. One added bonus is that the Crystal Springs salon will come to the hotel and do you and your girls' hair and makeup (making getting ready that much easier). We chose to get ready in the bridal suite which was recently renovated and is totally amazing! The one thing I would have to caution about is that Sam from the salon messed up my Maid of Honor's billing from getting ready that morning and my MOH is still fighting with her on this to get it resolved. So a recommendation: don't bill to multiple different rooms or credit cards. Bill to one person's and then have everyone else venmo you or give you cash. Reviewed on 22-07-2019

Jenna Klebanoff(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-05-2018 We absolutely loved our wedding at Crystal Springs (Grand Cascades) and our friends and family still say great things as well, a year later! In terms of planning/pre-wedding they are a pretty well-oiled machine, know all the right questions to ask, have a timeline that they stick to, etc. Made it very easy to plan. Cocktail hour is really special and definitely one of the most memorable elements both in terms of food and how beautiful the room is. My only negative is that we requested Daniel as our maitre d per everything we read on TheKnot about how helpful he was, and he disappeared quite a bit on the day of — my husband and I were never taken to the private room during cocktail hour to eat/get a moment of quiet like most other reviews say (we went on our own when we realized there were only a few minutes remaining in cocktail hour and we hadn't eaten anything), and then he didn't come to get us to bring us into the wedding for quite a while — there was a solid 20-30 minutes of downtown between the cocktail hour and the reception when everyone but us was ready to party, but we were sitting in a room waiting/not knowing what was happening. Despite that, the rest of the staff was so helpful and lovely, we always had a drink in hand, and generally had a blast. It's a really fun place to spend the weekend as well, which is a nice bonus when you have guests traveling from out of town! Reviewed on 17-06-2019
Lor Germanski(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-05-2019 I normally don't write reviews but when you experience exceptional service you owe it to the staff and venue to recognize each of their efforts that go above and beyond. We had our daughter's wedding in May and we can't say enough about the service and attention we received over our 4 day stay! Our rooms, events, food and the service were outstanding! Any glitch, no matter how small, especially when I look back now, they were quite small! Each were graciously handled by the entire Grand Cascades team from Jean the Wedding Sales Manager (no pressure sales and always accommodating to the bride and mother of the bride) , Jenna our Wedding Coordinator (attentive to every detail and always cool, calm and highly qualified to address and resolve anything - hope she handles her wedding as well as she did ours), Susan our Concierge (always checking to make sure we had what we needed) and Cheryl at the front desk (who I would stand on line and wait for just so I could deal with her). The grounds are gorgeous, the sunsets magnificent and the rooms and decor all added to making the bride and groom's day very special and memorable. With the staff and the folks I specifically mentioned, it was a fabulous celebration that everyone raved about and will talk about for years to come! Can't wait to go back for a relaxing weekend just to enjoy all the other activities they have to offer as well! Two weeks later and I am still getting people complementing me on how the venue looked like it came from a fairytale. Ballyowen is gorgeous whether it's rainy or sunny, and that means a lot in NJ where the weather can be kinda dicey. It rained on my wedding day and felt like I was at a destination wedding in Ireland. The whole staff is very responsive and accommodating to your wants/needs. Louis did an amazing job on the day of my wedding making sure that we did not have to worry about anything. He's seriously a gift from God with how smoothly he had everything running and how well he took care of my husband and I.I truly wish that someone else I know would get married here just so that I can enjoy it as a guest and get to sit back and relax and take it all in because it was truly an amazing experience.
