Glad to see that the beautiful venue we had for our reception in 1986 is still as wonderful as ever. Our October wedding was perfect from start to finish. The big difference was that we had to do a lot of the leg work ourselves. Back then we had to provide the liquor ourselves. It was also only an incredible $23 per person!! Our photos at this amazing setting were filled with autumnal color, just why we planned a Fall wedding. Good luck to all the future newlyweds.

Glad to see that the beautiful venue we had for our reception in 1986 is still as wonderful as ever. Our October wedding was perfect from start to finish. We were looking for a venue easily accessible from all directions, near an airport, hotel, and with a lots to do nearby.Christine was our point person from day one. Communication with her was timely and transparent throughout the entire process and her professional demeanor made our experience stress-free. As an out-of-state couple, she was super helpful providing insight, sending pictures, answering questions as they popped up, and scheduling a few visits for us before and after the wedding. Upon arrival for the rehearsal, we met with Christine and Michelle, who were a great help to us and our families - from the many questions to the many boxes of decorations we brought in, they had positive attitudes and were able to create a beautiful day for us with the help of their team. Christine suggested having our rehearsal dinner nearby at their sister property, Sam’s of Gedney Way. This is also where we had our initial tasting for the wedding menu (which was a blast) and the rehearsal dinner was just as fun as our wedding. We had a private room on the enclosed patio, which was perfect for our group. The food was unbelievable and the service was amazing. We were able to meet May, head bartender for our wedding, who worked both of these events - she was phenomenal. Photos of the mansion were great - we booked this venue without even visiting - but once we were able to see it in person, it was so much better than we thought. There were so many rooms and windows that let in natural light throughout the mansion. The rooms were already so nicely decorated, we didn’t need to do much to them. There was plenty of room for the items that we did display. The sun rooms were my favorite, and were so perfect for our portrait photos when we were unable to have them outside due to the rain. Having two separate bridal suites upstairs the whole day/night was ideal; this private area was great for getting dressed and storing our personal items during the event. With rain in the forecast, Christine was texting with me all morning. We had to do the ceremony inside, but the team made the ballroom look absolutely beautiful and comfortably fit our 155 guests. Christine and Michelle had an assortment of the cocktail hour food sent up to the bridal suite for us right after our ceremony ended - that time with just the two of us (and food) was so essential, I recommend that to all future couples. The food was outstanding and our guests were blown away by our cocktail hour which included 8 passed hors d’oeuvres, 3 food stations, a full bar, and a coffee/tea/water station. The food during the reception was also phenomenal. Shoutout to May again who made sure we always had our water and favorite drinks replenished at our sweetheart table! Dessert was wonderful for those who weren’t too busy dancing or smoking cigars. We had a coffee/cappuccino/espresso cordial bar set up off the ballroom near the exit, but not many people knew it was there since there was so much going on in that room (photo booth, cigar roller table, full bar, and cordial bar, also where the bathrooms were located off of).At the end of the night, Michelle and the team did a great job packing up all the centerpieces and other decorations I made so we were able to come back and pick everything up the next morning. We loved everything about CV Rich Mansion and appreciate the people there who made our day so special and would love to go back again for another celebration!! Thank you!

I booked CV Rich Mansion in the middle of the Covid pandemic (summer 2020) for June 2022. Over the next 2 years, Christine was so helpful in quickly answering any and all questions. I was a very type-A bride and I am sure I was not easy to deal with at times, but Christine never made any question feel annoying or too small. Christine was also really accommodating with any special requests (e.g., unique signature drinks, food tweaks, etc.) Our guests RAVED about the food - multiple people told us it was the best wedding food they ever had. The venue speaks for itself. It is STUNNING both indoors and outdoors. It also feels so intimate -- like you are in a friend's home for the evening. I have absolutely no regrets about booking CV Rich mansion for my wedding and look forward to working with Caperberry hopefully in the future.

The CV Rich Mansion was the PERFECT venue for our wedding in May. The beautiful garden and patio area was worth it on its own, but the ballroom tied the whole event together. In late May the garden was blooming with white and pink flowers, and the landscape was great to have our guests walk around and enjoy the scenery during the cocktail hour. The house part of the mansion also offered great space for the different food stations the Gold package came with. Christine was our event coordinator and she was very helpful in planning all the details for the event. This was only the second venue we toured and I immediately fell in love and am so happy with our decision to have our wedding reception here. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our perfect day.

got married on September 25, 2021 and had the most beautiful wedding at the CV Rich Mansion - the party, the food and the catering service was just phenomenal and that is due to the hard work of Caperbery Events. We loved our wedding reception and it was perfect. My friends and family also LOVED our wedding and are still raving about the food and the venue three months later (people couldn't believe that they drive past it all the time and didn't know how beautiful it was!) I would definitely 1000% recommend this venue and Caperberry Events, but I caution brides that if working with Christine, she was not the most responsive and there were so many times I had all these questions of \"where are the table seating plans\" \"when can i drop off things at the venue\" \"when do I finalize the menu\" \"when do we schedule our food tasting\" and I had to be proactive with Christine and take initiative because she was too busy to do so. Both my husband and I felt often \"lost\" and was unsure of what came next in the wedding planning. It was challenging for me to be proactive with Christine (especially while working a full-time job) because I felt that it should have been the other way around - she should be asking me these questions and telling me when things need to be finalized and what needs to be done because she plans events all the time. I do stress that I liked Christine and thought she was very nice but would definitely recommend brides that work with Christine and use this venue will have to put the time in up front in making sure things get done.

We had our wedding at CV Rich Mansion on October 1st. From start to finish we were so happy with our choice! We'd been to a ton of weddings in the area and feel like we found a hidden gem in our own backyard.We booked in May 2020 and one of the most important things to us was flexibility with all of the uncertainty with the pandemic. Throughout the process, we felt re-assured and comforted knowing our venue was flexible and keeping up with the latest updates.During planning, we worked mostly with Christine, who was supportive, responsive and made sure all the details were taken care of. On the day of, Michelle took over and truly handled everything so we didn't have a single worry! We had a million questions and they both handled everything we threw at them! All of our guests raved about the food and we were thrilled with how everything turned out. Shout out to Chef Rob for an awesome tasting and truly unique wedding food!All in all - this was everything we wanted in a venue: local, unique, simple space, amazing food and plenty of room for dancing! We highly recommend CV Rich and Caperberry for all catering needs!

I don’t know why this place has 4 stars. I had to hound Christina for an appointment to view. I had to call to confirm and when I did she pushed it back 1/2 he. We arrive and no one is there. I called the office and they said they were on their way. 15 min later Michelle shows up with a half hearted apology and gives us the tour. I had to ask all the questions about the layout and how the ceremony worked, and then Christina shows up with another appointment. We needed to talk with her about packages but she made us wait even more. All of these RED FLAGS is why we will not be using this event service

My husband and I got married at CV Rich Mansion in September 2019 -- it was by far the most perfect day! I came across CV Rich when looking for a venue that wasn't the typical \"wedding factory\" venue but still fully capable of all that a \"wedding factory\" would have to offer. CV Rich more than delivered. Working with Jessica and the rest of the staff at CV Rich made the wedding planning process a breeze. Jessica was extremely receptive to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding day and brought all of our ideas to life. She kept us on track with all of our decision making and was there from start to finish on the wedding day to make sure all of the little details we discussed when planning came to life. We are still getting complements about how beautiful our wedding was!

We had our wedding at the C.V. Rich Mansion last Sunday and everything was absolutely incredible. The entire staff including Jessica, the bartenders, and the wait staff went above and beyond for not only us (bride & groom) but also for our families and friends. Our guests are still talking about the beautiful grounds, the delicious food, and how friendly and kind the staff was.Working with Jessica made wedding planning so much easier. She was responsive to emails, flexible with last minute changes (and there were plenty!), and helped me keep track of the many decisions that go into the planning process. I cannot give Jessica and the rest of the venue staff enough praise!If I had to do it all over again, I would 1000% choose the C.V. Rich Mansion!

My husband & I got married at CV Rich on 9/7/19 and it was a perfect day! Jessica was incredibly helpful answering all of my questions throughout the whole planning process. Her and the rest of the team made the whole day go by so smoothly. Our ceremony in the garden was beautiful and our photographers got some great shots of us on the grounds and inside the house. I loved that our guests were able to explore different rooms during the cocktail hour and everyone raved about the food. The ballroom for the reception was set up beautifully and was exactly how I had pictured it. We had 140 guests and there was more than enough room for dancing and our photo booth. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience - everything from the rehearsal the day before to us heading home at the end of the night was handled completely seamlessly. After a year+ of planning it was so nice to feel confident handing off everything to such an awesome staff. Couldn't recommend more!

Our wonderful wedding on 6/29/19 at CV Rich Mansion was spectacular. We so loved the venue, the staff, the garden, the trees and gardens. It was a dream come true. Everything was incredibly personal and emotional, and the sincerity and commitment of the staff were obvious. We loved the CV Rich Mansion! The venue felt intimate and grand at the same time. It's so beautiful you don't need to add much to it. We had the pleasure of working with Jessica, she was great! Jessica is very professional and efficient. She was so much help in organizing whatever we wanted for our wedding day, and was always so kind, and fun to work with. Several of our guests raved to us after our wedding about the service, and the quality of the food. Every single server, bartender, etc was amazing! They were all so sweet, all had smiles on their faces, and were accommodating and professional. Each one I personally talked to congratulated me with such enthusiasm it felt like they were an extension of the guest list. I don't remember everyone's names (they all deserve so much praise) except for Michelle, who I felt went above her duties in carrying my train and veil so it didn't get dirty, and making sure I was fed and hydrated. I really can't say enough good things about CV Rich Mansion and Caperberry Events.

Thank you so much to you, and the CV Rich & Caperberry Team, for making our dream wedding come true. I believe my husband and I are more of “old souls” and were looking for more of a historical venue, rather than a general catering hall. We visited a few venues that fit this description, but we knew CV Rich was it once we toured and met with Elisabeth. A few weeks later, the free tasting that they held for potential guests, solidified the deal. It was like a mini wedding with cocktail hour and reception. You could taste how great the food was, and see how your wedding would flow.A few months before the wedding, our original contact person, Elisabeth, had left. Unfortunately, I feel there was a bit of mismanagement with how her transition was handled. However, once we were connected with Jessica, we knew we would be fine. She picked up right where Elisabeth left off. She was cheery, professional, and attentive. These traits were showcased on our wedding day as well. Thank you so much to you, and the CV Rich & Caperberry Team, for making our dream wedding come true. I believe my husband and I are more of “old souls” and were looking for more of a historical venue, rather than a general catering hall. We visited a few venues that fit this description, but we knew CV Rich was it once we toured and met with Elisabeth. A few weeks later, the free tasting that they held for potential guests, solidified the deal. It was like a mini wedding with cocktail hour and reception. You could taste how great the food was, and see how your wedding would flow.A few months before the wedding, our original contact person, Elisabeth, had left. Unfortunately, I feel there was a bit of mismanagement with how her transition was handled. However, once we were connected with Jessica, we knew we would be fine. She picked up right where Elisabeth left off. She was cheery, professional, and attentive. These traits were showcased on our wedding day as well. She is great at her job.Our guests raved about the gorgeous venue, the delish food, and the excellent service. The food and service really elevates what already is an amazing venue option. This is a hidden gem, for sure. The venue was my dream for a wedding venue. The high ceiling in the ballroom, cozy fireplaces placed throughout, spacious upstairs bridal suite, and beautiful backyard for cocktail hour. It rained on our wedding day unfortunately, but the cocktail space inside still accommodated our 209 guests. Our guests commented that the bartenders and staff were very friendly. When we first signed papers everything was fine. Then the emails stopped being answered and phone calls stopped being returned. Finally about 2 months before everything started falling back into place communication wise and planning. About 3 weeks before my wedding the staff changed and the person put in charge had no clue about anything regarding my contract, we redid everything which wasn’t even a big deal. The day of.... my bridesmaids got there a little before I did and everyone there had such an attitude and wouldn’t serve them. One on my husbands aunts has to ask for WATER. When I got there I decided i didn’t want to be seen cocktail hour so I stayed in the bridal suit, the person assigned to me came up once. Once we were ushered into the ball room everything was so rushed to the point my dad had to say something ( my dad is a very laid back person). All throughout the night I had to ask them a bunch of stuff pertaining to my favors which weren’t out. The sparkerlers which weren’t out... where my signs were. At exactly 9pm they started to pack up the center pieces with people still there. They started rushing us out the door to the point where I misplaced the flower girls basket and the ring pillow.

We visited so many different venues and CV Rich was exactly what we were looking for. The house has so many beautiful details and amazing natural light. My sister came across CV Rich while I was venue hunting, and I swear, every time I dropped in I fell more and more in love with this place. The way the parlor area was decorated for cocktail hour with the candles and our framed photos everywhere was amazing. Elisabeth was wonderful and accommodating; every detail from the food to the decor to the specific type of olives at the bar was handled impeccably. The food, which is catered by Caperberry/Sam's of Gedney Way was top notch; our guests were raving about the cheese wheel at the Italian station, the BBQ station and our passed lobster rolls! My only complaint was that I didn't get to eat and enjoy all of the appetizers, I guess it comes with the territory of having your wedding at place you really like! Thanks again, Elisabeth, for making this a truly wonderful, memorable experience!

On the day of the wedding, we had run into significant trouble with some of our other vendors, but when we walked into CV Rich everything was perfect. Elisabeth made sure that we were calm and that everything was taken care of. She was able to handle little last minute issues that arose and everything went so smoothly. The space was gorgeous and everything I had dreamed of. The lighting was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Every guest was blown away by the space, and I cannot imagine our celebration being anywhere else.

As the groom of a recent wedding at the mansion I was not as involved as my now wife but was in shock at how amazing everything came together. My wife gets very nervous easily and they were able keep her at ease which is not an easy task. The food was outstanding from beginning to end, it helped we also had great weather so we were able to have our ceremony outside as we hoped. We can't say enough good things and am glad that my new wife was able to hear her dream words of \"it was the best wedding they have been to\" from many of our guests.

I had an amazing wedding this past weekend at CV Rich! All my guests absolutely loved it - they loved cocktail hour in the mansion and the gardens, loved all the different rooms to walk around in and how unique it all looked. They raved about the food, too. A few said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. We had a great experience working with Joanna and then Liz, and on the day of, everything went exactly as I had planned! They went above and beyond in setting up for the event, everything looked beautiful. The gardens photographed amazingly - all the lush trees and blooming flowers coupled with romantic architecture of the mansion looked breathtaking. The only sad thing is having no plans to go back to the mansion, I will miss it after having visiting so many times over the past year and a half, will have to get invited to another wedding there!! Definitely recommend CV Rich to any bride who wants a memorable venue.

Joanna's attention to detail is amazing! She is to be commended on doing such a fabulous job...everything ran so smoothly. Caperberry Events was the caterer. They served a variety of the most delicious food throughout the cocktail hour and dinner. Everything was spectacular. The staff was attentive and courteous. Have been to a few events at the mansion with Caperberry as the caterer...their food is always pleasing to the palate.

My daughter's wedding was at CV Rich a few weeks ago (catered by Caperberry Events) and we are still so happy with how everything went. My daughter could not stop smiling and the photos captured the beauty of their happiness and of the location. The staff has been amazing (especially Joanna who was always there for us and runs things smoothly and on time) and the food was amazing. All of the guests spoke about the food and how good it was and how much of it there was. The house makes for a lovely cocktail hour as there is so much space to sit or walk around without being crowded. We had tables outside but no one went out as it was so hot that day. If you book, go for the tasting they do from time to time as it will give you a good idea of the set-up and what you like or do not like. Our favorite was the BBQ station. The day of the wedding was really hot and Joanna had anticipated that it would rain or be really hot so earlier in the week, she called to talk about what we wanted to do and together we opted to do the wedding indoors. While my preference would have been those amazing gardens, it was the right call and everything was beautiful either way. The cake is amazing too - one of our favorites and again we were able to customize the cake.We have the bridal party children at the reception and Joanna helped us ensure they had food they would eat as well.I wish we had another wedding soon so I could go back to CV Rich and celebrate some more. The last piece I will share is that we were actually able to enjoy the reception as things ran so smoothly. The one issue we encountered and created (one couple was not on our list and needed seats) was handled swiftly and well. THANK YOU CAPERBERRY.

The cake is amazing too - one of our favorites and again we were able to customize the cake.We have the bridal party children at the reception and Joanna helped us ensure they had food they would eat as well.I wish we had another wedding soon so I could go back to CV Rich and celebrate some more. The last piece I will share is that we were actually able to enjoy the reception as things ran so smoothly. The one issue we encountered and created (one couple was not on our list and needed seats) was handled swiftly and well. THANK YOU CAPERBERRY.

My husband and I got married at the CV Rich Mansion on October 19, 2014. We rented out the entire venue, having our cocktail hour take place in the different mansion rooms, and the reception in the ballroom. We had our ceremony there as well. We are thrilled with how everything turned out. It was a chilly fall day and initially we were a little disappointed that we had to bring the ceremony inside since we had wanted to have it in the gardens outside (we decided to bring it inside after the weather report said it would be low 50’s and windy)… but it ended up being more beautiful than we could have imagined, and our guests were very happy that they were warm and comfortable! We were married in front of a window in the ballroom, where you could see the beautiful yellow leaves behind us, so we still got that fall feel we were looking for (it came out great in photos, too!). \r\rFor our menu, we got the platinum package to satisfy our big Italian family, and two months later they are still raving about how much food there was and how delicious it all tasted (and they are a tough crowd to please… so that says a lot!). I fell in love with the venue the first time I visited it, but now looking at the pictures we just got back, I love it even more. It is so incredibly different from all the “wedding factory” type of venues we’ve been to—it is full of charm, history, and has an “at-home” feel that I’ve never experienced at a formal event before. I couldn’t have picked a better place for a fall wedding—it was so cozy, with tea light candles everywhere, and the foliage was visible through all the windows throughout the building. \r\rJoanna and her team were so helpful throughout the entire process, and paid attention to every detail and request we had. She was always prompt in answering our questions, and made sure that our big day had everything we wanted… including an ice luge and pumpkin beer (my favorite!)! I also loved that on 10/19, the focus was completely on us—unlike other venues, only one wedding takes place there at a time, so you are the main focus and are treated that way. We could not be happier with the day we had, and are so grateful to Joanna and the Caperberry team for giving us such an incredible memory to treasure for the rest of our lives. \r

We especially liked the cozy feel of a cocktail hour in the library and other rooms of the house before heading into the ballroom. \r\rJoanna was fantastic. While we didn't initially choose the venue because of her, she turned out to be invaluable in making sure that everything ran smoothly and was in place at the right time. She was always calm and patient, even in the middle of a flurry of activity. Joanna is a real pro, who obviously has successfully handled more weddings than she can count, but still gives each one the attention that it needs.\r\rWe were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We attended a tasting at the venue and enjoyed the food, but the food on our wedding day was even better than at the tasting, which was a real treat. \r\rThe only area that could use some improvement is the quality of the wine that is included. We weren't happy with it at all, but they let us bring in our own wine at no cost, although they didn't reduce the total cost. Ultimately, though, it was a better value to buy wine that we liked rather than pay to upgrade with the venue.\r\rOverall, it was a terrific experience and we can't say enough good things about the venue and especially Joanna, who made sure everything went according to plan.

Most were very expensive and out of our price range. \r\rThen we saw CV Rich on The Knot and had kind of forgotten about it! I'm glad we rediscovered it. \r\rThe grounds are beautiful. We had our wedding this past weekend at the CV Rich mansion. It was wonderful in every way and much of that is due to Joanna, Caperberry and the beautiful venue. \rJoanna is knowledgeable and experienced. She had the answers to all our questions and guided us through the planning as necessary. She made sure the wedding events went smoothly and that enabled us to relax and enjoy the ride. She also had the perfect words for me just before I was to walk down the aisle. Much appreciated!\rThe food by Caperberry is amazing. The waitstaff is very capable. They had many of the same staff as over a year ago when we attended another wedding (at a different venue), so it certainly seems that they treat their staff well and retain good employees.\rAnd the mansion is just gorgeous. We had our ceremony outside. The gardens are lush and very well cared for. The cocktail hour was on the patio and in the rooms of the mansion. Then we moved into the ballroom for the reception.\rIt was wonderful in every way and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the venue to everyone!

The day went perfectly and we know that's due in large part to event planner Joanna Malone and her staff. She was reassuring right from the beginning and we needed someone just like that; but in her case it wasn't idle comfort, it came from someone who really could make everything be just right. \r \rWe could not have found a better event planner or a more beautiful venue. Two couples who were at the wedding are already telling us they are thinking about the venue for their kids' weddings! The service was great - the wait staff were fabulous, they glided amongst the guests and kept the food coming at all times. And everyone raved about the food - quantity, quality, variety and flavor!\r\rWe lucked out with the weather and were able to have the ceremony outside on the beautiful patio. Joanna made the switch from an indoor ceremony that morning and had everything arranged quickly and smoothly, as if we had always planned it that way!\r\rThe five-room mansion is elegant but not stuffy, and worked perfectly for our smaller, more casual reception. The DJ and bar were in the sunroom at one end, and cocktail tables were set up in the tea room at the other end, so our older guests did not have to \"endure\" the music that the younger guests were dancing to. The passed h'ors d'ouevres and appetizer stations allowed guests to fill and refill their plates with their favorite foods, and eat outside or inside. The furniture arranged in small converstion groups in the living room and library allowed our guests to easily catch up with relatives or meet new people.\r\rThe pricing plans were flexible enough to accomodate exactly the event we wanted, and very reasonable, but with no stinting on quality. Joanna's recommendations on DJ and photographer were right on target, too.\r\rWe will have wonderful memories for many years to come!\r

We were married at the CV Rich Mansion on Friday, August 17th 2012. Our experience prior to the wedding and on the wedding day was exceptional; the venue and staff were above our expectations and did everything to make our dream day come true. \r\rThe venue is a historic Victorian mansion; with culture and personality. It is not a modern, clean and perfect venue instead it is a grand home with lots of personal character and warmth. The “imperfections” are just perfect. The upkeep on this property is exceptional; the landscaping (which is vast) is also beyond beautiful. When you enter it, you cannot help but feel as if you stepped into your own grand home. \r\rJoanna Mallone, our main contact and planner for the venue. She is a patient, meticulous, honest, sweet and caring person. She dedicates her all to her client; she made us feel as if we were the only wedding or event that she had that whole summer. She is swift on communication and had no problems answering all of our questions or catering to our many needs. \r\rThe staff for the mansion are also amazing. They are all so polite and outgoing for their guests that we truly felt like royalty the day of our wedding. \r\rThe food was the icing on the cake. There was not a dry chicken in sight! The groom accidentally walked into the kitchen the morning that we were getting married and he saw the chefs individually braising each chicken for our event…we figured it would be put in the oven but to cook everything individually shows that this place cares about their client. There is a large food selection that is given to you and you cannot go wrong in any choice. Our guests are still raving about the food and no one went home hungry. \r\rThe drinks, again cannot remotely be terrible at this wonderful place. The bartenders were very courteous to our friends who love to drink and were bombarding them. They remembered everyone’s drinks, were heavy handed and lightened up when they needed to be. \r\rThis venue is perfect for:\r1.\tSmaller wedding parties (four bridesmaids/groomsmen max) …. If you plan on getting ready at the Mansion. \r2.\tThe couple who wants to have something different than the norm, this is not a wedding factory location. \r3.\tThe couple who wants personalized service. \r4.\tThe couple who is easy going because the staff here sure will be as easy going with you, and further go out of their way for you.\r5.\tThe couple who focuses on food, tasty food and lots of it! \r\rIf we could rewind time we would relive this moment over and over. Joanna, the wedding coordinator, was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire wedding process, and was there to help us the day of the wedding. We looked at a lot of reception sites, and did not want to settle for the same old look, or the 'wedding factory.' Oh, and I almost forgot the food is incredible; creative choices that are guests are still talking about. We had a wonderful experience and I would not have changed a thing about this venue. It is a hidden gem!

Oh, and I almost forgot the food is incredible; creative choices that are guests are still talking about. We had a wonderful experience and I would not have changed a thing about this venue. It is a hidden gem!
