My husband and I got married 10/13/22. However, we held our reception on our 1 year anniversary 10/13/23 at the Danâl Webster Inn & Spa. We originally booked it back in 2022 with Rob, who was amazing. Then Krissie took over for Rob and she was amazing and wonderful to work with. We sat with Krissie to go over everything and we knew it was going to be great. She is awesome at what she does. She really captured what we envisioned, the night was so magical. We canât forget about the staff who helped during our event, they were also amazing. One of the best decisions we made booking our venue here! Reviewed on 08-12-2023

Growing up in Sandwich the Dan'l Webster was always the quintessential Cape Cod venue! With the help of Rob and his team we were able to pull off a quick 3 month plan from start to finish! Rob made it so easy to determine what would make our day a success, jumping in when appropriate to give his opinion. The day went off without a hitch! We used the Conservatory room which made for a great backdrop for pictures and more than enough space for our 70 guests. The food was amazing (with large portions) and our guests continue to complement! I will certainly be using DW for upcoming family events! Reviewed on 08-05-2023
Tom B(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-02-2023 I cannot say enough great things about the Dan'l Webster Inn or Rob Backman, their catering sales manager. From the initial planning stage to the day of, Rob was always there to answer all of our questions and was very flexible as well as a very calm presence throughout the whole experience. I was blown away that all of the staff on the day of our wedding knew my first name and my wife's first name, even though I never met any of them before that night. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding, reception, and goodbye breakfast the next day all at the Inn - and I was beyond satisfied every step of the way. If you are at all considering having your wedding here, I would encourage you to sit down with Rob. Thank you to Rob and the Dan'l Webster for a weekend that we will never forget!! Great communication through and through. The venue itself is beautiful and holds so much charm. The Conservatory provided for the most beautiful reception area. The day couldnât have been more perfect.NOW to touch on the stars of the day, the staff. To start, everyone who assisted us was so kind, cheerful, and a pleasure. The hospitality was top notch. Fantastic service. Dan, the evening concierge, deserves a special mention. Obviously wedding days can get overwhelming and when I stepped away, he checked in with how the night was going as I went by the front desk. He immediately offered me a private area to sit down, offered me a cocktail or water and got it for me. He recognized I needed that moment away and I am so thankful for that! Itâs the little things that mean the most. Now for the best day of coordinator, Rob. I would have been absolutely lost without this man. As stated before, phenomenal communication. He made sure everything was perfect. He was always happy, put together, and with a calm demeanor. From our first meeting I knew we were in the best hands. Kate Zbyszewski(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-02-2022 TLDR: Have your wedding at Danâl Webster â everything from the vibe, food, staff, hotel room, and location is worth it.We had our wedding on February 26, 2022, at the Danâl Webster Inn but truly it was more like a 3-day event at the location. We had the wedding on Saturday, we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner the night before on Friday, have food for an afterparty at the bar after the wedding, and a brunch the following day on Sunday. Totaling 4 events through the hotel. Danâl Webster has summer weddings of course but if you are getting married in the winter, do not sleep on this place! Along with fireplaces galore, the Conservatory is a magical and beautiful room with the waterfall behind it, and string lights everywhere. We had 65 guests and were in the Conservatory and Music room. It was nice to have another space for guest to hang out but not have to dance. I had a few things set up around the Music Room for entertainment, guest book, photo props, a tattoo station (a guest favorite, everyone was talking about it), and the bar. As many other reviews have stated Tabitha and Rob are amazing. Tabitha is on top of her stuff and truly wants you to have a special day. There are so many moving parts with planning a wedding and it was great to have ceremony / reception / lodging / food all taken care of by someone so capable and clearly has been doing this for many years at this specific location ie. Sheâs seen it all. In addition, the wedding, she helped us plan the dinner the night before and the breakfast the next day. Set up our room of our stay, helped us price out our bar, and came up with the design of our ceremony / reception.Truly there isnât enough to say about Rob, he was the saving grace of the whole wedding. He took care of us for all three days. The wedding for us basically started Friday and as you can imagine by anxiety was on 9 by then. He just kept saying to me that all I had to do was focus on getting married and he and the staff would take care of everything else⊠and he and the staff did! I am sure things went wrong or not as planned but I seriously had no idea. Also, my family and bridesmaids absolutely loved him and when my wedding is mentioned, people are still gushing about how amazing Rob was/is. Itâs not easy to organize a bunch of overly excited people, who love talking, and there was alcohol involved, and he was an absolute pro. My Maid of Honor said to me, âI could have told him that I was on fire, and he would have said âWell fire looks great on youââ. He kept everything organized, on schedule, he dealt with the vendors, anything I could have asked for - he would have brought me. He even had cake and flowers in our room after! The room by the way â the entire atheistic was so amazing. The bridal suite has a huge fireplace, heat tile floors, a wrap around porch. The blue of the room will make your photos amazing. Some of my favorite photos are in the bridal suite. After the wedding, we stood on the porch and saw the stars so clearly. Absolutely amazing. They also have a list of vendors that they normally work with, and I highly recommend using them â especially the photographer, we are not from the Cape and having a photographer that already knew the best spots and the lay out made it so much easier! Stefany Shrayer(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-11-2021 I want to preface this by saying Tabitha and Rob are wonderful, but I think the Inn is understaffed and made some significant mistakes. Looking back at all of these incidents collectively, I am disappointed. I love reading all of the reviews of people who got all of their belongings returned and had a flawless experience. I wish I could say the same.Leading up to the wedding, everything was falling together quite nicely; Tabitha was responsive and able to accommodate everything that we wanted our wedding to be. It was great to use their list of vendors; A Village Florist, Beth's Bakery, and Sweet Connolly Photography are AMAZING!When my father and brother checked in, someone offered to help with luggage. They used a master key to let them into their room but it wasn't their room. The person staying there was using the restroom with the door open. My dad laughed it off but I am mortified for this poor other guest! The day of the wedding was stress-free. I had handed all of my decorations over to Rob who did an amazing job. His centerpiece arrangement was so much better than I had envisioned. We chose to do a sand ceremony with a heart-shaped unity vase to symbolize our family of four joining as one; the vase went missing. We only had 20 guests, all of whom were close family, and they were shocked and saddened to hear this news, too. The Inn apologized and explained that they assumed we took it. We are heartbroken that such a sentimental, priceless object would suddenly go missing. I got most of my decorations back. Some fall-scented candles that I intended to offer as gifts for guests also went missing without a trace or explanation overnight. The food was INCREDIBLE! We were very pleased with the dinner service, presentation, and quality of food. We don't typically splurge when we go out to eat, but we decided to go big for our wedding (lobster and fillet mignon) and we don't regret it!Rob and Tabitha were also able to help me surprise my husband with a slideshow of family pictures. Everyone loved it. A perfect element for such a small, intimate wedding. After our wedding itself, my brothers, sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law reserved a small room to hang out and chat over food and drinks from the Tavern. We donât get to hang out all together very often, so it was nice to have quality time together while grandparents were babysitting the kids upstairs. In one of my first emails planning the wedding I asked \"As far as breakfast goes for the next morning, is there a breakfast open to everyone at the Inn? Or would we have to do a buffet?\". The response I got was \"I can get you breakfast vouchers ;)\". I told my family they didn't need to worry about breakfast the next morning. The night of my wedding I was told there are no such vouchers. I had not budgeted for this expense. I understand that the foodservice industry is feeling the pressure of being understaffed and overworked due to COVID. Many of the staff members were bouncing around, juggling too much, and we didn't want to give them a hard time. We accepted the unexpected and moved on.As I was leaving, Rob told me that a staff member moved one of the centerpieces I had paid for to decorate a counter of the Inn... weird but mistakes happen. I took it back and gave it to my mother-in-law to take home.Overall, our wedding day was great and a day we will never forget. We got to spend quality time with family and celebrate our marriage together, and that's what matters. Reviewed on 17-11-2021

As a Sandwich resident, I wanted to support local business and loved the convenience of the DW for our out-of-town guests. Tabitha was honest, thorough, and patient as I explained our vision for a small but intimate wedding reception. Upon meeting Tabitha and walking through the venue space, we were assured that the Danâl Webster could execute our dream wedding in the short 4 month planning period, and they did not disappoint. Tabitha was a delight to work with, responding almost immediately to every question or concern, regardless of how frivolous or ridiculous. Now of course, whatâs a wedding without some family drama⊠and the week before our big day was a Doozy! When a crazy relative demanded a plus-one, Tabitha was willing to take the heat and deal with the situation, which far exceeds the typical event coordinator responsibilities! On Friday October 15th, our wedding reception consisted of a seated dinner with 35 of our closest friends and family celebrating with the highest quality food, drink, and service. That night, Rob was our Service Coordinator and always made us feel like his top priority⊠he was attentive without being intrusive and was always âthereâ when we needed him! Rob had everything set up just as I envisioned and had it all packed it up when we were ready to check out on Saturday. We cannot speak highly enough about the staff, service and food at the Danâl Webster and highly recommend the DW for an event of any size, as their glass Conservatory is a gorgeous space, surrounded by gardens and water features. We were already in the midst of planning a wedding for 2023 but we wanted to make sure that my grandfather wouldn't miss out on the opportunity to see us get married and for us to have him there. Tabitha at the Dan'l Webster was the first one that responded to my inquiry of a small wedding in April. She responded promptly and was very empathetic in understanding how important was to have my grandfather there. My husband and I were so grateful to have someone like Tabitha understand the sensitivity of our situation and not just as clients. We were so impressed by how Tabitha represented herself and the Danâl Webster. Other local venues I contacted either didnât respond to our inquiries or gave us a sales pitch without and empathy towards our situation. Tabitha helped us navigate our way for making the most perfect day under less than 2 months notice and made it stress free. We loved that the businesses included in the wedding package were in the immediate area, which made it easy to finalize details such as floral arrangements and the wedding cake. Tabitha understood the importance of our wedding day and kept in touch with me often and answered any questions we had. Rob, the wedding day coordinator was fantastic in executing the details my husband and I put into place with Tabitha. All details we went over with Rob the night before in regards to decorations, music and a bagpiper amongst other things were implemented exactly as we had discussed or even better than expected. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed our day and we still get compliments about it over a month later. Jelissa Kelley(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-03-2021 We got married at the Dan'l Webster on 03/20/21 !! We had the opportunity to use both the music room and the heritage room for our ceremony & reception. Supplied all of our decorations, and Rob did an AMAZING job setting everything up. It was a small guest list due to covid and it being on short notice, we kind of decided to just get on with it in February! We decided not to wait for the pandemic to be over and for everything to go back to \"normal\" and came across and amazing package deal for our micro wedding. Tabitha was amazing and friendly, and very helpful and responsive throughout the entire ordeal, certain aspects of the planning changed SEVERAL times and she was very accommodating every time I had to send that email to let her know something had changed. The room we got afterwards for our special night was awesome as well. And all of our guests said they had a really good time. The only minor complaint I have is not from Tabitha, Rob or the Dan'l Webster itself but from the bakery we got our cake from (which was included in the package) we did pay extra to have a larger cake made, and I supplied the flowers for decoration however, the decorator who made the cake added horrible green leaves out of frosting next to every one of the flowers. Other than that everything was perfect and we were very pleased, and super impressed by Rob for everything he did the day of. Reviewed on 10-04-2021
Larisa Deodat(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-03-2021 I got married at Danâl Webster Inn on 03/13/2021. It was better than expected especially during a pandemic. Tabitha, our wedding coordinator was very accommodating. Since my side of the family was from out of state, planning the reception, although intimate, couldâve been very stressful and hectic. However, I only met with Tabitha once in person just so I could see the rooms. We coordinated the entire reception via email and phone calls. Imagine that?! Itâs no easy feat planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic but Tabitha did a fantastic job at making sure everything was perfect. I canât forget about Rob though. He was present on the day of the reception and made my entire family feel at home. My sister-in-law has 4 small children and the waiting staff made them feel very safe and comfortable. She appreciated that very much. So thank you once again for such a lovely time. I definitely recommend the intimate package for anyone who wants a small reception. You get the cake, the floral, a free night in their honeymoon suite, and even a free coupleâs massage. What more could you ask for? Donât let a pandemic make you miss out on a fun time. Given that we are still in a pandemic, my guest list and seating chart changed pretty rapidly even up until the morning of, and my anxiety due to all of these changes had been through the roof but the wedding coordinator, Rob could not have been more kind. He really reassured me that everything would be perfect and all I had to do was relax. He busted his butt to make sure everything was set up perfectly. Our intimate package deal included flowers and cake from the nearby florist and bakery, which were incredible! The flowers turned out beautiful and the cake was delicious! This also saved me from some added stress of having to plan for these as well. I appreciate that they take the pandemic very seriously and so we followed all guidelines and protocol to make sure the event and staff were all safe! Amidst the changes, everything turned out stunning! The Music Room was decorated beautifully, and the apps and dinners were amazing. I am so grateful to have had the intimate setting and to be able to engage with all our guests. From planning the wedding with Tabitha who was always attentive, honest, straightforward, quick to respond, to the function staff....the entire team at Dan'l Webster really came together and made the day extremely memorable, and I am forever grateful. We stayed overnight for 2 nights in the Jarves bridal suite (1 overnight stay for the night of was included in the wedding padkage) and we loved that as well; it was complete with a giant soaker tub and fireplace for a super romantic feel. So thank you all again, for everything. I cannot say enough great things about Rob. You can truly tell that Rob loves his job and enjoys what he does. He always had a smile on his face, (I could tell even under the mask haha) and he created the most beautiful space in the garden for our outdoor ceremony, and the marsh view terrace looked incredible for our outdoor reception. He was so organized, attentive and fun and all our guests could not stop commenting on what a wonderful job he did! They worked together, reduced their original wedding invitation list to accommodate for social distancing and forged on. I was put in touch with Tabitha, the Sales Manager for the Inn. She worked tirelessly with us to achieve the most beautiful and well choreographed event. We were originally going to be in the Jarves Room with access to the garden which we thought would be a beautiful area. Unfortunately with social distancing and not being allowed to eat inside, while we were planning our event, she worked with her manager in allowing us to have the reception on the terrace for a private event. If you havenât visited the terrace, you definitely need to. There were state/town constraints on most every item involved with the wedding, from seating to passed appetizers, but they made every effort to make our event as flawless as possible. Emily Roberts(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2018 We had our wedding Columbus Day weekend in 2018. We had about 85 guests. It was the perfect size. Lets start with, wow this place was an awesome venue. Everything was right on location, my guests never had to leave and go to another place for the reception, which made it perfect for all of our out of town guests. Despite getting a new coordinator midway from Amy to Jen, I was very surprised their professionalism and communication. I had Rob as the day of wedding coordinator, he was AMAZING, he was so positive and so easy to work with. He was there the second I needed anything. The inn really accommodated our needs spot on. One thing I loved about this place was the character and it made it less expensive for me since I didnât have to decorate as much. One thing I wish they had was a bridal suite to get ready in that we didnât have to pay extra for. I ended up getting a room for an extra day so me and bridesmaids could get ready. Honestly it was a hefty price tag, but 100% worth it. Also the rooms are really comfortable and spacious considering how many people were in my room that morning. My photographer got some amazing shots in the room and I just felt relaxed about already being on the property. We also got pictures at board walk, gristmill and sandwich main street. The food was great, everyone loved it. It was a lot of food and everyone felt satisfied. We had done a buffet package, but Rob came over to my husband I and took our orders and made us a plate, so we did not have to walk through the buffet. That was awesome! They also sent extra cake slices to our room upstairs, it was a great extra dessert later, and they left us a few other surprises. My husband and I are from the area and many people talk about this place and they always say such positive things. My day was perfect and I loved how intamite everything was. I felt like all my guests could see and hear everything in the venue space. All the big and little worries were put to rest every time because she was attuned to what we needed. Amy went so far as to suggest new ideas that we hadn't thought of. On the weekend of our wedding, everything went flawlessly from our rehearsal to the day of, even though it was raining on our rehearsal. Our server Kiernan that night deserves her own recognition for taking care of the fifteen of us all by herself, without any issues. Our \"day of coordinator\" Rob Backman was phenomenal. He kept us all on time and calm. From the moment he got there that day, he was 100% committed to everything being exactly how we wanted it, and if it wasn't working- he made it work. The staff on the day of were great at getting any last minute items that either bridal or groomsmen party forgot. Special thanks to Jane, Mary and Kevin for bringing up all the chairs and tables to the bridal suite...multiple times. Even though it was a minor issue to us, he still took the time to write that. Amy not only did the same, but she sent us a sweet card to say how much she enjoyed working with us. We loved that. The Dan'l Webster as whole provided an intimate, yet elegant ceremony and reception for us. We couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. I use the word \"experience\" because a wedding is so much more than 1 day. Where to begin.... From the beginning, Gary ( the GM ) and Amy (the Sales Manager ) were contactable and helpful. When we viewed the property, it was evident how much pride and thought goes into hosting a wedding at their establishment. We decided to book the DWI due to garden, the conservatory, the food menu, the package plans and the guest rooms. Not to forget that DWI is sweetly nestled in the heart of the Sandwich village, only 1 mile or less to the Sandwich boardwalk beach. As soon as we booked the venue, we knew we were in great hands. Kate was also very open to our ideas and she made every single one of them work. We arrived in Sandwich on Friday and had our wedding rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and a small \"un hosted\" welcome party all on property. The room was beautifully decorated with some of our arrangements from the reception. The service was remarkable and the food.... is there a better way to say DELICIOUS!! But wait.. there's more. Our package included an 1 hour couples massage at the BeachPlum Spa. This is how we completed our Wedding Experience at the DWI. If you are looking for intimacy, quaint, affordable, 5 star service and delectable food and drinks, then the Dan'l Webster Inn is the place for you. Reviewed on 03-10-2017
evan Allen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2016 We had our wedding (6/25/16) at the Dan'l Webster Inn, and everything -- from check in to rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception to the bridal suite, garden, and food -- exceeded our expectations. The wedding coordinators are very quick and so helpful. We booked a year in advance, and had lots of questions about how everything worked and what we needed to do, all of which were answered in detail and very promptly -- including long, hypothetical treatises on different alcohol sales possibilities. As the date got closer, we went in for a meeting, during which I'm sure we were asking really picky questions. But both Kate and Amy were so gracious and patient, and sat with us for a solid half hour, even going to get the chair sashes we picked so we could see them in person to make sure the color was right. They accommodated food allergies and last-minute seating and guest changes absolutely seamlessly. The day of, Kate directed everything so flawlessly. We kept right on time, I was never anxious about what I needed to do, but I also never felt like she was hovering. She managed to keep us on schedule through pictures, the meal, greeting our guests, all that stuff. And she was so upbeat and fun to work with. The food was amazing. We got the chicken oscar and swordfish for our entrees and our guests couldn't stop talking about how good everything was. Even the kids meals got rave reviews. They were even willing to send a meal upstairs to a hotel room where my brother's mother-in-law was watching his baby daughter -- that's definitely above and beyond, considering she wasn't even a guest at the wedding. The conservatory where we had our reception was gorgeous -- all glass and looking out onto the garden. Our sweetheart table was in front of a koi pond with a waterfall! And the garden, where we had our ceremony, is so bright and beautiful, with a huge tree we got married under. The space barely needs any decoration because of the fantastic view, the hanging plants, and the cute rows of lights hanging from the ceiling. Chair sashes and fairly cheap and simple flowers more than did the trick. The inn itself is lovely, and all the staff is so friendly. Even walking down a hallway carrying something, somebody offers to grab it for you. When you call for room service it comes right away. Our room was the bridal suite and it was beautiful -- nice porch, a jacuzzi, lots of space, comfortable bed. And every time we turned around, somebody was leaving chocolates and rose petals in our room. When we left, we were already just blown away by everything. But when we got home and went through our wedding gifts, we found something from the Inn -- I won't wreck the surprise -- and we were so touched! I've never seen that before. Whether you're coming here to eat, to sleep, or to get married, you won't be disappointed. Our wedding was perfect. I was nervous about spending so much money on one single night, but it was completely worth it. We'll remember it forever. We're so grateful. Reviewed on 28-06-2016
Erin Saxon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-08-2014 My husband and I chose the Danâl Webster Inn for our wedding celebration venue after we had lunch there one afternoon. Just being an average dayâs lunch guests, we were struck by the attentive and professional waiter, a beautiful view from within the conservatory, and incredible food. We wanted this experience for our guests, only magnified â and the Danâl Webster did not disappoint. \r\rWhen we met with Bethany about having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Danâl Webster, she was able to give us a fuller view of what to expect from them as our venue, including the breadth of services, approximate cost per guest and additional costs we might want to budget for. We wanted an intimate gathering of about 65 guests, an outdoor ceremony, an outdoor cocktail hour, and a reception with amazing food and time to reconnect with family and friends. For us, the Dan'l Webster was a great match for the day we wanted. \r\rLeading up to the day, Bethany was communicative and diligently responded to all of my many questions and concerns. On the day before the event, we met Dana (an on-site wedding coordinator), tried our signature cocktail (Pimmâs) to make sure it tasted just right (it was delicious), and went over last minute details as well as our rehearsal. Our rehearsal dinner was for us to spend time with our immediate families before the wedding day, and the waiter made sure that we were all very well looked after. In fact, he was the same server from our first visit to the Danâl Webster several months before. He was as funny and charming as the time we first met him, and quite clearly a great addition to the dining team. \r\rOn the day of the wedding, Bethany and Dana took care of everything: coordinated our bridal partyâs arrival, made sure guests were handled, ensured vendors had everything they needed (including our DJ, who needed our first group dance song!), and of course had drinks in hand for us after our ceremony! The venue looked fantastic. The food was even more delicious than on the many times we had dined there before. I found out the morning after that we were short one place card for a guest, and Bethany with consultation with the groom carefully made one to look exactly like the ones we created at home. When the night was over, they didnât rush us out at the end of the reception, but checked in with us and made sure we had the cards from our guests and secured the gifts downstairs until we checked out the next day. Our room was decorated with rose petals at the end of the night, and we even had 3 slices of our cake beautifully presented for us! \r\rDana even helped us pack the car the next morning, and when we left something behind they were quick to consult with the housekeeping staff and hold it for us until we could get down there to collect it. The team at the Danâl Webster went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was what we had envisioned and so much more. Reviewed on 09-11-2014
