I don’t know where to begin to describe the wonderful experience we had with the Donauschwaben’s German Cultural Center and their stellar event coordinator, Christine. We were fortunate to happen upon the venue shortly after a cancellation, so we were able to secure a date within 6 months of our early May 2023 wedding date. Meeting with Christine was a breath of fresh air. She was knowledgeable about absolutely everything the venue had to offer. This includes but was not limited to the 3 tired wedding package options, alcohol choices, food allergy accommodations, linens information, lighting options, outdoor spaces, and decoration suggestions and options. She made us all feel welcomed and special. She worked closely with me, the bride, and was flexible throughout the entire planning process. She communicated clearly with our vendors and was present the day of the event to help with any coordination or potential hiccups. She was compassionate and never hesitated to provide insight with other wedding related details even when they didn't pertain to the venue. Christine was a true pleasure to work with and was a genuine blessing. The reception hall itself is nice and open with plenty of space for hundreds of people. My 230ish guests did not feel over crowded at all. I had sleeves on my wedding dress, but they did a good job of keeping the room from getting warm and stuffy. The picturesque outdoor patio was a big hit on our wedding day. The space was very helpful so people could relax or take a break from the noise and enjoy conversation, fresh air, and a nice view of their pond and fountain. It was also nice to have this space to set up lawn games for people to play and to have space for kids to enjoy and run on the grassy lawn. There was also a playground on-site we were permitted to use. The service during dinner was efficient and professional. Everyone enjoyed the food from the appetizers of meatballs, fruit/veggie trays, and loaded potato skins to the schnitzel, beef tips, and potatoes we had at dinner. The water and coffee set up was handy and delicious with unlimited access, flavored syrups, and whipped cream. I credit that table for keeping this bride going that day! I can't recommend this venue enough. If I redid the day, I wouldn't change a thing!

Ebner/Beach Wedding My daughter Melanie and her husband Adam celebrated their wedding at German-American Cultural Center on Saturday December 16, 2023. All of our expectations were exceeded. The service was fantastic, the food was served hot and was delicious. Compliments to the chef and his kitchen staff. We received many compliments on the food which is exactly what we hoped for. Christine coordinated everything beautifully and she treated us with care and courtesy. We are very happy and will recommend this venue with confidence. Thank you to a great staff.

We recently had our wedding reception at Donauschwaben on November 11th and we would highly recommend this venue to anyone interested in having an event there. The venue is gorgeous and big enough to hold both small and large events. They decorated the venue perfectly to our specifications ensuring everything looked gorgeous and we were thrilled with the results when we arrived for our big day. The food is absolutely amazing, all of our guests were raving about how good the food was for the entirety of the event. We upgraded to the Prime Rib and it was cooked to perfection along with the other entrees and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff is very accommodating and made sure that everything went perfect and there was never a wait for a drink. We were impressed at how well the whole event went and have had all our guests mention how much they loved both the venue and food after the fact. We were extremely satisfied with our experience there and they really made our big day special.

We had our wedding reception on 10/7/23 at Donauschwaben and everything was perfect! Christine made the planning process super easy, and the wedding packages offered simplified picking out food and drinks. The hall is perfect for decorating to your taste, with the ability to bring in your own decorations! There was a wide variety of linen and chair coverings to match any theme or color scheme. We had the best experience at Donauschwaben and would recommend to everyone!

We booked Donauschwaben for our end of October wedding ceremony and reception. We had a large guest list of around 250 people, and had 200 attend the day's festivities. The venue fit everyone very comfortably, had a large dance floor, and the food was fantastic. Christine, the venue coordinator, was very helpful when planning our big day. We were able to come in the day before our wedding day to set up which was very much appreciated. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking to book a larger space!

Donauschwaben's was a wonderful location for our wedding reception. The events manager, Christine, and other staff were so nice and awesome to work with. They made the whole process really easy. The hall is beautiful and has plenty of space for guests. The food was so delicious and our guests raved all night how good it was. Our favorites were the giant pretzels, pot stickers, and herb crusted pork loin. Everything we tried was amazing. It was such a wonderful experience and definitely would highly recommend this location.

I had my wedding at the Donauschwaben’s center back in June and it was honestly the PERFECT day. I was able to have my ceremony on the outdoor patio and my reception inside. The staff went above and beyond to make my day special. The food was delicious! My guests had nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend to anyone!

I had my wedding at the Donauschwaben’s center back in June and it was honestly the PERFECT day. I was able to have my ceremony on the outdoor patio and my reception inside. The staff went above and beyond to make my day special. The food was delicious! My guests had nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend to anyone!

We had a wonderful wedding day at the Donauschwaben. The set up turned out beautifully! The extra hour for the reception is really nice to have due to how quickly the day goes by. The built in dance floor is large. The venue is very spacious too. The staff is kind and pleasant. Christine is amazing to work with and especially in our circumstance planning our special day from out of state she was always willing to work around our schedule for meetings and made sure she knew exactly how to set up the venue the way we had in mind and she nailed it.

My Wife and I could not be more thankful for how wonderful Christine and the rest of the staff were to work with! Planning a wedding can be a stressful time but picking Donauschwaben and being able to work with Christine was a breeze. I had my wedding in October 2022 here. Back in 2020, my fiancé and I looked at probably 5-10 venues, but our hearts were always sold on Donauschwaben. I am so glad we went with them. They are priced so reasonably (with free parking!), there are hotels nearby, they have a large dance floor, plentiful alcohol, and a BEAUTIFUL patio. We were lucky in that we got to be married outside with perfect weather. So many people complimented me on the food and the beauty of the grounds. We had a perfect, PERFECT day. Christine, the event planner, is on it! She was detailed, efficient, and reassuring. She was easily accessible and you can tell she's been doing wedding planning for a long time. You can't go wrong with Donauschwaben!

Christine was fantastic to work with!! She is so knowledgable in event planning and was extremely accommodating to mine & my mom's requests. Super quick at responding to emails and gave us her personal phone number to get ahold of her if need be. She contacted my other vendors to arrange their arrival to the hall and was there while we were setting up and working right along side us. We had 280 people and the hall had plenty of space to accommodate our large wedding. We chose the buffet option, and the staff moved our guests through the food line quickly and there didn't seem to be any table waiting too long to be asked up to the line & the food was delicious!! While bar lines looked long, guests told me their wait time to get a beverage was no more than 5 minutes - so the bartenders definitely kept things moving. Emma, Banquet Capitan, was everywhere helping wherever she could. Donauschwaben's German American-Cultural Center also has a huge dance floor to accommodate lots of dancing, a stage (which was great for our live band), and a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking a pond (great for pictures!!).

Our daughter’s recent wedding at the German club was beautiful. It was a pleasure working with their new Events Coordinator, Christine, who is a great communicator and pays close attention to detail. My husband and I just had our wedding there in July, 2021. Our coordinator, Becky, was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. We wanted a large dance floor and this hall meets and exceeds that. It is very beautiful, especially with the up lighting! The patio came with the rental and was perfect for the cool summer evening we had or for people to get away from the music. Becky and her team worked so hard for us that day and were so flexible with on the spot decisions and schedule changes the day of. We received many great compliments from our guests on the bartenders and the food! Even at the tasting, the food was absolutely delicious.There was one thing I did not like and I am not sure how much control the venue has over this. As per our contract, we hired two policemen to be there for most of the event. I was fine with just the two. However, apparently this place is a stop for other policemen to just hang out during their routes for the evening. So, for a good portion of my reception we had about 8 policemen standing right outside of the hall. This made many of my guests nervous about potential trouble or that they would be setting up road blocks when people left the venue. I am very frustrated about this and did not know that this was happening at the time. Again, this is not the fault of the vendor and I don't even know if they can do anything about it but please keep this in mind when booking.

My husband and I just had our wedding there in July, 2021. Our coordinator, Becky, was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. We wanted a large dance floor and this hall meets and exceeds that. It is very beautiful, especially with the up lighting! The patio came with the rental and was perfect for the cool summer evening we had or for people to get away from the music. We had our wedding on 10/10/2020 at Donauschwaben. It was a great experience! From the beginning, it was so easy to work with Becky and her team. Everything was detailed and organized. Even when COVID came about, the venue was in contact with us and kept us up to date about restrictions that could affect our wedding. We had a wonderful food tasting session with Marianne and Sandra. They were able to answer our questions and address our concerns. The grounds and building itself were beautiful. Our guests loved the patio and being able to walk around the venue outside. It was also nice that we were the only wedding there that day. On the day of the wedding, Becky and her team were so attentive to every detail, which made the evening run so smoothly. The food was delicious! Many of our guests raved about the food and the venue itself. Everyone at Donauschwaben did such an amazing job! We highly recommend Donauschwaben for any event needs (especially weddings)!

I have been a member of the STV Bavaria dance group since 2009 and have practiced, performed and drank at this club for many years. I was fortunate enough to have my Beauty and the Beast wedding there right before Covid hit. This club has always been family to me and they treated me and my husband like family through the planning, decorating and finally the main event! Becky was so amazing in working with me to make sure we could get my decorations done the night before the wedding so that i could see everything together and not have to stress about it on my big day. Between Becky, the staff and our families my day was perfect!Plus you will never find a better deal for a bar package than here, plus the ladies behind the bar are the best of the best!

The hall is large, beautiful and has gorgeous lighting (uplighting on sides and draped beautifully from ceiling). The food is DELICIOUS. The patio was perfect for a nice August evening, with its string lights and view of the pond. The band we hired were excited to play on the large stage at the venue. In addition, the service was exceptional. Becky, Mike and all of the staff really worked hard to make sure our day was just how we wanted it. As a wedding planner I have the pleasure of working at venues all over Ohio and beyond. There is a wide range of things I experience along the way and not all venues provide the same level of service. I can honestly say Becky and her team were WONDERFUL to work with and went above and beyond for the bride & groom! Throughout the evening they were attentive, friendly, and helpful to both my assistant and I and more importantly all of the guests at the wedding reception. From assisting the family with set-up on Friday, addressing all questions and concerns regarding the timeline and misc. wedding details, to the timely food service - their service was top notch. It would be a pleasure to work there again in the future and I would recommend the venue to other brides and grooms as I know they would have a favorable experience in choosing to host their weddings here! My husband, John, and I got married here on 1-19-19 during a huge blizzard named Harper. The snow started at about 11:00am and never stopped. It was beautiful! I decorated and made sure the hall was all set up the day prior. Upon arrival the day of the ceremony, it was even more perfect than I could have imagined! Becky and her crew really outdid themselves! Our 530pm ceremony was postponed until 6pm due to the weather conditions. I hid in the basement and waited patiently as all of our guests arrived safely. We hosted a happy hour after the ceremony, the bartenders did a fantastic job! Chef Mike did an amazing job with the holdovers, as well! We chose a sit down dinner in lieu of the buffet. The meal was outstanding, even our guests that were served last mentioned they had warm food which was a concern I had been worried about because of a past experience at weddings in other locations. I highly recommend Honey Pecan Chicken. Our guests are still talking about the food!! Everything was perfect. I had no worries at all because I knew I was in great hands!! So, you wonder why I give them a 4 vs a 5? I had a handful of kids attend our wedding. Just a few close family members and close friends. I did hire 2 babysitters to watch over them. The babysitters and I met working weddings at a party center in Cleveland. I was told by my 7 year old daughter, my niece and both babysitters that the banquet coordinator yelled at them pretty badly about the girls having too much fun and throwing flower petals from my bouquet on the floor. She was worried they would be sued because of the petals and made a huge deal about it.  Secondly, after the reception, the blizzard was more high risk than when it began. Uber and Lyft were not responsive because of how dangerous Harper had become. Seniors were falling all over the place and there were a few small car accidents in the parking lot. One guest was all on fours in parking lot for at least 5 mins because of how slippery it became. My husband was struggling to pack our car and fell, as well. It was a freaking mess!!! We asked if we could leave our belongings at the venue until the storm passed. They refused to accommodate us because they were afraid of being sued (once again) if anything were to happen. The banquet coordinator had no sympathy once so ever!!!!!!!So, it was hard to give 4 bc maybe a 3.5 would have been better.
