DoubleTree by Hilton - Bloomington is a hotel wedding venue located in Bloomington, IL. If you're seeking an elegant setting for your special day, our beautifully appointed hotel is the perfect spot to say "I do." Here, you can gather with your nearest and dearest to enjoy premium service, delicious cuisine, and total relaxation. The venue is also conveniently close to local attractions such as Miller Park Zoo and is accessible by several state highways. By hosting your wedding at DoubleTree by Hilton - Bloomington, you will have over 18,000 square feet of event space at your disposal. Our recently renovated ballroom offers ample room for up to 550 people, while our conference suites can be adapted for your ceremony. If you would prefer to exchange your vows outdoors, we can provide a beautiful courtyard space for 200 seated guests. Private function rooms are also available for rehearsal dinners, small weddings, and day-after celebrations. We hosted our wedding reception at DoubleTree and were absolutely thrilled across the board. 5 stars to say the least. Hayley, DoubleTree's wedding coordinator, made the process a breeze. She is responsive and organized, gives great advice and easily adapts to changes in plans. Hayley worked with us for over a year and always made time to answer questions and give direction. Her guidance and experience was invaluable.The space is huge and flexible. We reserved 3 of the 5 ballrooms and comfortably fit 200 guests. The space looks great as-is, but also is easily customizable for whatever look you're going for. We rented a dance floor, stage, bar and draping from outside vendors to get a particular look. DoubleTree and our vendors coordinated directly on setup and teardown, which made everything easy on us. We also used the foyer for our cocktail hour and liked how spacious it felt.The food and drinks were outstanding. Catering at large events has a reputation for being bland and mediocre quality, but that was certainly not the case here. Dinner was on par with the nicest restaurants in town and we were impressed by the wide variety of entree and side dish options DoubleTree offered. The appetizers at cocktail hour were also a hit with guests. The portion sizes are great (especially on appetizers), much more than you would expect for the price. DoubleTree also has a good selection of beers and liquors on their standard menu plus they can place special orders through their distributor. Several guests commented how they enjoyed the meal and drinks.We and our guests were happy with the rooms. The rooms are modern and spacious, and come with free breakfast and parking included. In particular, the suites for the bride and groom are huge. The block rate was generous, especially compared to the rates are similar hotels.We appreciated how attentive, friendly and gracious the staff treated us and our guests all throughout the weekend. They really went above and beyond for us, and you could feel that they were putting their heart into it.DoubleTree was the perfect fit for our wedding reception. They delivered a first rate event, all at a very reasonable price considering the quality and service level.

Picking to have our wedding reception at The DoubleTree was the best decision! Everyone who was there to help us was amazing and easy to communicate with, especially Hayley. Hayley was extremely helpful, answered all our questions, and helped turn our vision into reality. She listened to our ideas and added her own experience to make it amazing. Double Tree was a perfect place because they have everything there......the room set up, some table decorations, food, and a place to stay if needed. We gave them the decorations and they set everything up for us and they took everything down after our evening and organized it for us to take home. They had plenty of staff to serve hors d'oeuvres (we had 300 people) during our appetizer time and 2 buffets set up to serve everyone quickly-everything was thought out and carried out! The reception area is beautiful and we even used their outdoor patio for our 'glow stick' send off. The food was delicious and we were able to sign a form 'releasing' the extra food that was left over (from people who didn't show up)-so the next day we enjoyed the food again once we were home. I can't say enough about this venue. It has EVERYTHING you need!!! Very easy planning!!!! We give it 10 million stars!!!

The ballroom is beautiful plus there's a large room just outside the ballroom which is perfect for the cocktail hour. Top it off with an amazing wedding coordinator and catering service! Fantastic venue and coordinator! Our wedding was this past April, but we booked this venue about 18 months in advance, and the coordinator, Diana, made planning a breeze. She was so polite, quick to respond to emails, and well organized throughout the entire process. Diana made sure all the decor was set up exactly how we wanted. The banquet staff was also fantastic! They were very accommodating, made sure anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions got the appropriate meal, and even carried my plate for me at the buffet so I wouldn't risk getting anything on my dress! We cannot recommend this venue enough! Our wedding was everything we hoped for and more!

We had the BEST experience having our ceremony & reception at the Double Tree. Diana is by far the most organized, prepared & professional wedding coordinator EVER. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. She made the process so easy and stress free. She accommodated our needs and wants for an amazing wedding experience. The food choices were delicious! The staff was super nice and amazing as well! We were also provided suites so stay in , and get ready in making the day of an easier process. They also provided storage for our decor the day before so we didn’t have to set things up the day of or try and worry about getting everything together. As the bride I literally didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING. Not only is the double tree an amazing space to have a wedding but it’s affordable! So if you are struggling to find a venue Diana at the double tree is your go to girl!

Getting married and having a wedding reception during a pandemic can be incredibly stressful! However, Diana and the Double Tree were so kind, flexible, and accommodating. They helped to make my wedding reception everything I dreamed it would be, even after having to switch plans around multiple times. I would highly recommend Diana and the Double Tree to anyone who wants to have the best reception. They won’t let you down! I look forward to working with them again in June when I have my big reception with all my guests who were unable to attend my wedding due to the pandemic. Thanks again, Diana!

Getting married and having a wedding reception during a pandemic can be incredibly stressful! However, Diana and the Double Tree were so kind, flexible, and accommodating. They helped to make my wedding reception everything I dreamed it would be, even after having to switch plans around multiple times. I would highly recommend Diana and the Double Tree to anyone who wants to have the best reception. They won’t let you down! The DoubleTree is hands down the best place to get married at. Our day was absolutely perfect and it was all thanks to them. The organization is amazing, I felt 100% confident throughout the whole process that Diana knew what my vision was. While being a bride through COVID, I had a million questions and Diana was so responsive and helpful throughout the whole thing. The staff was all so kind, the food was great and they were so accommodating at making my visions come to life while being a COVID bride. Last minute we had our rehearsal dinner location cancel on us and they were right there to make sure we had a spot to host! They took all precautions and made everyone feel safe through the whole wedding process. They take the liberty to make sure the bride and groom (as well as their families) don’t have anything to worry about the next day-all you have to do is pack your cars back up! I mean how awesome is that! I cannot recommend them enough to any bride looking for a vendor, everything was simply amazing.

Trust me planning a wedding itself is hard planning a wedding during pandemic even harder! She went above and beyond to make sure my MOH son had his own separate dinner for our rehearsal and actual ceremony and also was able to get the beer i like brought in ! She made sure masks were available as well as sanitzer stations as well to help keep everyone safe ! The food it was amazing! The catering department and chef are fantastic! Everyone honestly loved the food ! The servers were so amazing! We lost a apart of decor for the wedding and on check out day it was found! In general It was well worth our 2 hour drive ! She even made sure all of our wedding party got cookies and she even arranged for shots for my bridal party before we walked in to our reception! I would give her 10 stars if i could! She constantly kept in touch any question no matter how small she answered with in 1 day max! For any future functions myself and my husband have we will glad drive 2 hours away for Diana and her wonderful crew! Thanks for making our day amazing!

We loved the Double Tree for our reception. They were incredibly accommodating for us and were so easy to work with. With us being two brides, we didn't feel that they treated us any differently, which was very important for us. The event coordinator changed after we signed our contract, but Diana made the transition so easy. She really listened to what we wanted, answered all 9 million of my questions, and made sure that everything was just as we wanted. They have great package and food options, and ample space for larger groups - we had about 210 guests and 22 in the bridal parties and we did not feel crammed at all. One of the best parts was being able to drop off all of our decorations during the week before and they set everything up for us. This is such a huge relief not having to find time to go and decorate when you should be enjoying your time. After the night was over, everything was set over on one table which made packing up and loading super easy the next morning. I'll admit I was very picky and detailed, and I feel Diana handled that very gracefully. I absolutely recommend trusting the Double Tree and Diana with your special day.

I was pretty concerned how things would go without her. But Kaitlyn stepped in along with Diana and everything went off perfectly. I just want to start by saying Ashley Walter is AMAZING! We are so happy we picked DoubleTree for our wedding reception. My husband and I were planning our wedding from Arizona. We flew back to Illinois to look at a few venues in the Bloomington/Normal area and were immediately impressed with the DoubleTree after meeting with Ashley for the first time. Ashley is AMAZING, super organized, prepared and responsive to all correspondence. When we met with her she provided us with a folder that included a packet of information including the packages they provide, food and drink options. Right off the bat she crunched numbers for us, so we knew exactly what we would be getting into. After meeting with Ashley we knew it was a no brainer that this was going to be our reception venue. Ashley advised me to give all of my vendors her contact information and she would schedule deliveries the day of the wedding for us, final numbers were requested only 4 days prior to the wedding and I met with her 3 days prior to the wedding to drop off our decorations for the staff to set up for us and everything looked perfect. The food at the reception was AMAZING! We had a plated meal served and I didn’t hear any complaints about cold food or it taking too long for our guests to receive their food. The next day we walked down and all of our decorations were boxed and ready for us to take home with us. Thank you so much Ashley and team for making our wedding reception and stay so memorable!

My husband and I hosted our ceremony and reception at the Double Tree and loved every minute of it. Ashley was great to work with and able to predict our needs and assist with last minute decorations. In addition, the rest of the staff was great making sure our reception went off without a hitch. We had over 200 people and the layout of their ballrooms and cocktail hour space along with the courtyard is the best in town. Several of our guests stayed at the hotel as well and we only heard nice things about it. Thankful for Ashley and the Double Tree team for helping make the day one we will never forget.

I was a little hesitant planning a reception as I wasn’t interested in planning my wedding but she completely eliminated any worries or concerns I had. She is able to customize for a simple wedding like ours but also willing to go the extra mile to perfect and add any details you’d want for your day. DoubleTree offers a complimentary suite on the wedding night with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! All the small details mattered and my husband and I felt very “taken care of” on our special day. Ashley made sure to check in with us through the night of. We had so many compliments that the venue was great, food was great and all of our guests thanked us for such a wonderful time. Weddings can be expensive too so it was wonderful that DoubleTree was upfront with prices and there were no hidden fees. You get more than what you pay for!!Another perk, all decorations were cleaned up and cleared out of the reception ready for pick up the following day. So the day after was even relaxing!Ashley and the rest of the staff at DoubleTree truly made it a remarkable night!!

This really was the best place to have our reception! We hosted 180 people with a DJ & photo booth, cupcakes on every table and some fun tables of games outside. I would say over 60% of our guests stayed at the hotel. Ashley did such a wonderful job helping us through the weekend. There was a small snafu with the room, but the staff made everything right and took care of any concerns I had immediately. I can't say enough good things about this place. There were clearly a lot of guests at the hotel that weekend (between our event and several other events) and the staff worked so hard to make sure all our requests were met. I love love love this place.

We had a pretty complicated Indian wedding and she made us feel so comfortable and was so helpful to our many requests and changes. Promptly responded to all emails, even when multiple family members were reaching out, and was so accommodating to all our needs. I can't imagine planning my reception without Ashley Walter helping me every step of the way. Of course hotels can be a little pricier but it is worth every single extra dollar to have your reception at the doubletree! I don't even know where to begin, they made Adam and I feel so special and helped us plan our dream reception.

We searched all over the Bloomington-Normal area for a great place to have a reception at a decent price.. We found others, but NONE that included as much as the DoubleTree! We felt that this was the best location for what we'd be spending and it was nice that everything was in one place. Ashley, the event coordinator, did an AMAZING job working with our other vendors and with my sister who had some pretty crazy decor ideas :) She was wonderful to work there. My husband and I are already thinking about having a 10 year anniversary party there because we had such a great time at our wedding at the DoubleTree.
